  • Why can't I use accented characters next to a word boundary?

    - by Rexxars
    I'm trying to make a dynamic regex that matches a persons name. It works without problems on most names, until I ran into accented characters at the end of the name. Example: Some Fancy Namé The regex I've used so far is: /\b(Fancy Namé|Namé)\b/i Used like this: "Goal: Some Fancy Namé. Awesome.".replace(/\b(Fancy Namé|Namé)\b/i, '<a href="#">$1</a>'); This simply won't match. If I replace the é with a e, it matches just fine. If I try to match a name such as "Some Fancy Naméa", it works just fine. If I remove the word last word boundary anchor, it works just fine. Why doesn't the word boundary flag work here? Any suggestions on how I would get around this problem? I have concidered using something like this, but I'm not sure what the performance penalties would be like: "Some fancy namé. Allow me to ellaborate.".replace(/([\s.,!?])(fancy namé|namé)([\s.,!?]|$)/g, '$1<a href="#">$2</a>$3') Suggestions? Ideas?

  • QueryReadStore loads JSON into DataGrid, but JsonRestStore does not (from the same source)

    - by labratmatt
    I'm building a Dojo DataGrid from JSON data provided by my REST interface. The DataGrid loads the data fine using a QueryReadStore, but doesn't seem to work with the same same data piped into a JsonRestStore. I'm using the following Dojo libs with Dojo 1.4.1: dojo.require("dojox.data.JsonRestStore"); dojo.require("dojox.grid.DataGrid"); dojo.require("dojox.data.QueryReadStore"); dojo.require("dojo.parser"); I declare my stores in the following manner: var storeJRS = new dojox.data.JsonRestStore({target:"api/collaborations.php/1", idAttribute: 'items[].id'}); var storeQRS = new dojox.data.QueryReadStore({url:"api/collaborations.php/1", requestMethod:"get"}); I create my grid layout like this: var gridLayout = [ new dojox.grid.cells.RowIndex({ name: "Row #", width: 5, styles: "text-align: left;" }), { name: "Name", field: "name", styles: "text-align:right;", width:20 }, { name: "Description", field: "description", width:30 } ]; I create my DataGrid as follows: The above works, but if I use QueryReadStore as my store, the grid is created with the headers (Name, Description), but it isn't populated with any rows: <div dojoType="dojox.grid.DataGrid" jsid="grid3" store="storeQRS" structure="gridLayout" style="height:500px; width:1000px;"></div> Using FireBug, I can see that QueryReadStore is getting my JSON data from my REST interface. It looks like the following: {"numRows":6,"items":[{"name":"My Super Cool Collab","description":"This is for all the super cool people in the super cool group","id":1},{"name":"My Other Super Cool","description":"This is for all the other super cool people","id":3},{"name":"This is another coll","description":"This is just some other collab","id":4},{"name":"some new collab","description":"this is a new collab","id":5},{"name":"yet another new coll","description":"uh huh","id":6},{"name":"asdf","description":"asdf","id":7}]} Any ideas? Thanks.

  • PHP: How to store XML data in an array?

    - by tommy
    Below is the XML I am working with - there are more items - this is the first set. How can I get these elements in to an array? I have been trying with PHP's SimpleXML etc. but I just cant do it. <response xmlns:lf="http://api.lemonfree.com/ns/1.0"> <lf:request_type>listing</lf:request_type> <lf:response_code>0</lf:response_code> <lf:result type="listing" count="10"> <lf:item id="56832429"> <lf:attr name="title">Used 2005 Ford Mustang V6 Deluxe</lf:attr> <lf:attr name="year">2005</lf:attr> <lf:attr name="make">FORD</lf:attr> <lf:attr name="model">MUSTANG</lf:attr> <lf:attr name="vin">1ZVFT80N555169501</lf:attr> <lf:attr name="price">12987</lf:attr> <lf:attr name="mileage">42242</lf:attr> <lf:attr name="auction">no</lf:attr> <lf:attr name="city">Grand Rapids</lf:attr> <lf:attr name="state">Michigan</lf:attr> <lf:attr name="image">http://www.lemonfree.com/images/stock_images/thumbnails/2005_38_557_80.jpg</lf:attr> <lf:attr name="link">http://www.lemonfree.com/56832429.html</lf:attr> </lf:item> <!-- more items --> </lf:result> </response> Thanks guys EDIT: I want the first items data in easy to access variables, I've been struggling for a couple of days to get SimpleXML to work as I am new to PHP, so I thought manipulating an array is easier to do.

  • Help regarding composite pattern with hibernate

    - by molleman
    Hello, So i am stuck, i am creating a gwt web application, i will be using a tree(gwt Tree and TreeItems) structure to show a list of folders(class Folder) and files(class FileLocation), the folder and filelocation class will all implement a Hierarchy interface basing the classes on the composite pattern. but i am using hibernate to store my data , and i am using annotations for the mapping of the data to the database. my trouble is i do not know how to annotate my interface. have any of you guys used the composite pattern while persisting the data with hibernate public interface Hierarchy(){ // a few abstract methods that will be implemented by the sub classes } @Entity @Table() public class Folder extends Hierarchy implements Serializable { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) @Column(name = "folder_id", updatable = false, nullable = false) private int id; @OneToMany(cascade = CascadeType.ALL,fetch = FetchType.EAGER) @JoinTable(name = "FOLDER_FILELOCATION", joinColumns = { @JoinColumn(name = "folder_id") }, inverseJoinColumns = { @JoinColumn(name = "file_information_id") }) private List<Hierarchy> children = new ArrayList<Hierarchy>() ; @Column(name = "folder_name") private String folderName; @Column(name = "tree_item") private TreeItem item; @Column (name = "parent") private Hierarchy parent; @Entity @Table(name = "FILE_INFORMATION_TABLE") public class FileInformation extends Hierarchy implements Serializable { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) @Column(name = "file_information_id", updatable = false, nullable = false) private int fiId; @Column (name = "location") private String location; @Column(name = "tree_item") private TreeItem item; @Column (name = "parent") private Hierarchy parent;

  • Recursive list of lists in XSL

    - by Paul Tomblin
    I have a recursive nodes that I'm trying to set up for jquery-checktree. The nodes look like foo/bar/ID /NAME /CHECKED bar/ID /NAME /CHECKED /bar/ID /NAME /bar/ID /NAME /bar/ID /NAME /CHECKED /bar/ID /NAME /CHECKED Where any bar may or may not have one or more bar nodes below it, but any bar will have ID and NAME and might have a CHECKED. and I want to turn that into <ul> <li><input type="checkbox" name="..." value="..." checked="checked"></input> <label for="...">...</label> <ul> <li><input type="checkbox" name="..." value="..." checked="checked"></input> <label for="...">...</label> </li> </ul> <li>....</li> </ul> I can get the first level by doing: <ul class="tree"> <xsl:for-each select="/foo/bar/"> <li><input type="checkbox" name="{ID}" value="{ID}"> <xsl:if test="CHECKED = 'Y'"><xsl:attribute name="checked">checked</xsl:attribute></xsl:if> </input><label for="{ID}"><xsl:value-of select="NAME"/></label> </li> </xsl:for-each> </ul> But I don't know how to recurse down to the embedded "bar" within the "bar", down to however many levels there might be.

  • JSON Twitter List in C#.net

    - by James
    Hi, My code is below. I am not able to extract the 'name' and 'query' lists from the JSON via a DataContracted Class (below) I have spent a long time trying to work this one out, and could really do with some help... My Json string: {"as_of":1266853488,"trends":{"2010-02-22 15:44:48":[{"name":"#nowplaying","query":"#nowplaying"},{"name":"#musicmonday","query":"#musicmonday"},{"name":"#WeGoTogetherLike","query":"#WeGoTogetherLike"},{"name":"#imcurious","query":"#imcurious"},{"name":"#mm","query":"#mm"},{"name":"#HumanoidCityTour","query":"#HumanoidCityTour"},{"name":"#awesomeindianthings","query":"#awesomeindianthings"},{"name":"#officeformac","query":"#officeformac"},{"name":"Justin Bieber","query":"\"Justin Bieber\""},{"name":"National Margarita","query":"\"National Margarita\""}]}} My code: WebClient wc = new WebClient(); wc.Credentials = new NetworkCredential(this.Auth.UserName, this.Auth.Password); string res = wc.DownloadString(new Uri(link)); //the download string gives me the above JSON string - no problems Trends trends = new Trends(); Trends obj = Deserialise<Trends>(res); private T Deserialise<T>(string json) { T obj = Activator.CreateInstance<T>(); using (MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(Encoding.Unicode.GetBytes(json))) { DataContractJsonSerializer serialiser = new DataContractJsonSerializer(obj.GetType()); obj = (T)serialiser.ReadObject(ms); ms.Close(); return obj; } } [DataContract] public class Trends { [DataMember(Name = "as_of")] public string AsOf { get; set; } //The As_OF value is returned - But how do I get the //multidimensional array of Names and Queries from the JSON here? }

  • Synchronizing Access to a member of the ASP.NET session

    - by Sam
    I'm building a Javascript application and eash user has an individual UserSession. The application makes a bunch of Ajax calls. Each Ajax call needs access to a single UserSession object for the user. Each Ajax call needs a UserSession object. Data in the UserSession object is unique to each user. Originally, during each Ajax call I would create a new UserSession object and it's data members were stored in the ASP.NET Session. However, I found that the UserSession object was being instantiated a lot. To minimize the construction of the UserSession object, I wrapped it in a Singleton pattern and sychronized access to it. I believe that the synchronization is happening application wide, however I only need it to happen per user. I saw a post here that says the ASP.NET cache is synchronized, however the time between creating the object and inserting it into the cache another Thread could start construction it's another object and insert it into the cache. Here is the way I'm currently synchronizing access to the object. Is there a better way than using "lock"... should be be locking on the HttpContext.Session object? private static object SessionLock = new object(); public static WebSession GetSession { get { lock (SessionLock) { try { var context = HttpContext.Current; WebSession result = null; if (context.Session["MySession"] == null) { result = new WebSession(context); context.Session["MySession"] = result; } else { result = (WebSession)context.Session["MySession"]; } return result; } catch (Exception ex) { ex.Handle(); return null; } } } }

  • How to select the first property with unknown name from JSON and how to select first item from array

    - by Oscar Godson
    I actually have two questions, both are probably simple, but for some odd reason I cant figure it out... I've worked with JSON 100s of times before too! but here is the JSON in question: {"69256":{"streaminfo":{"stream_ID":"1025","sourceowner_ID":"2","sourceowner_avatar":"http:\/\/content.nozzlmedia.com\/images\/sourceowner_avatar2.jpg","sourceownertype_ID":"1","stream_name":"Twitter","streamtype":"Social media","appsarray":[]},"item":{"headline":"Charboy","main_image":"http:\/\/content.nozzlmedia.com\/images\/author_avatar173212.jpg","summary":"ate a tomato and avocado for dinner...","nozzl_captured":"2010-05-12 23:02:12","geoarray":[{"state":"OR","county":"Multnomah","city":"Portland","neighborhood":"Downtown","zip":"97205","street":"462 SW 11th Ave","latitude":"45.5219","longitude":"-122.682"}],"full_content":"ate a tomato and avocado for dinner tonight. such tasty foods. just enjoyable.","body_text":"ate a tomato and avocado for dinner tonight. such tasty foods. just enjoyable.","author_name":"Charboy","author_avatar":"http:\/\/content.nozzlmedia.com\/images\/author_avatar173212.jpg","fulltext_url":"http:\/\/twitter.com\/charboy\/statuses\/13889868936","leftovers":{"twitter_id":"tag:search.twitter.com,2005:13889868936","date":"2010-05-13T02:59:59Z","location":"iPhone: 45.521866,-122.682262"},"wordarray":{"0":"ate","1":"tomato","2":"avocado","3":"dinner","4":"tonight","5":"tasty","6":"foods","7":"just","8":"enjoyable","9":"Charboy","11":"Twitter","13":"state:OR","14":"county:Multnomah, OR","15":"city:Portland, OR","16":"neighborhood:Downtown","17":"zip:97205"}}}} Question 1: How do I loop through each item (69256) when the number is random? e.g. item 1 is 123, item2 is 646? Like, for example, a normal JSON feed would have something like: {'item':{'blah':'lorem'},'item':{'blah':'ipsum'}} the JS would be like console.log(item.blah) to return lorem then ipsum in a loop How do I do it when i dont know the first item of the object? Question 2: How do I select items from the geoarray object? I tried: json.test.item.geoarray.latitude and json.test.item.geoarray['latitude']

  • Hide the last children of an XML data provider (not to be displayed in mx:Tree)

    - by Andree
    Hi there! I have an hierachical XML data, and I want to display it as a tree. The XML data is something like this: <services> <service name="TestService" endpoint=""> <method name="sayHi"> <parameter name="firstName" /> <parameter name="lastName" /> </method> <method name="sayGoodbye"> <parameter name="firstName" /> <parameter name="lastName" /> </method> </service> <service name="AnotherTestService"> <method name="getName" /> <method name="setName"> <parameter name="name" /> </method> </service> </services> However, I don't want to display the last elements (parameters) in the tree because, well, it is not meant to be displayed, but still it has to be there. Any advice on how can I achieve that? I am thinking of either extending DefaultDataDescriptor or create a class which implement ITreeDataDescriptor. Which approach will be suitable in this case?

  • Silverlight WinDg Memory Release Issue

    - by Chris Newton
    Hi, I have used WinDbg succesfully on a number of occasions to track down and fix memory leaks (or more accurately the CLRs inability to garbage collect a released object), but am stuck with one particular control. The control is displayed within a child window and when the window is closed a reference to the control remains and cannot be garbage collected. I have resolved what I believe to be the majority of the issues that could have caused the leak, but the !gcroot of the affected object is not clear (to me at least) as to what is still holding on to this object. The ouput is always the same regardless of the content being presented in the child window: DOMAIN(03FB7238):HANDLE(Pinned):79b12f8:Root: 06704260(System.Object[])- 05719f00(System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary2[[System.IntPtr, mscorlib],[System.Object, mscorlib]])-> 067c1310(System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary2+Entry[[System.IntPtr, mscorlib],[System.Object, mscorlib]][])- 064d42b0(System.Windows.Controls.Grid)- 064d4314(System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary2[[MS.Internal.IManagedPeerBase, System.Windows],[System.Object, mscorlib]])-> 064d4360(System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary2+Entry[[MS.Internal.IManagedPeerBase, System.Windows],[System.Object, mscorlib]][])- 064d3860(System.Windows.Controls.Border)- 064d4218(System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary2[[MS.Internal.IManagedPeerBase, System.Windows],[System.Object, mscorlib]])-> 064d4264(System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary2+Entry[[MS.Internal.IManagedPeerBase, System.Windows],[System.Object, mscorlib]][])- 064d3bfc(System.Windows.Controls.ContentPresenter)- 064d3d64(System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary2[[MS.Internal.IManagedPeerBase, System.Windows],[System.Object, mscorlib]])-> 064d3db0(System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary2+Entry[[MS.Internal.IManagedPeerBase, System.Windows],[System.Object, mscorlib]][])- 064d3dec(System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary2[[System.UInt32, mscorlib],[System.Windows.DependencyObject, System.Windows]])-> 064d3e38(System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary2+Entry[[System.UInt32, mscorlib],[System.Windows.DependencyObject, System.Windows]][])- 06490b04(Insurer.Analytics.SharedResources.Controls.HistoricalKPIViewerControl) If anyone has any ideas about what could potentially be the problem, or if you require more information, please let me know. I don't want to have the first person goto the .com site .. grab the results ... and the a second person goto my .com.au .. same search data .. and get the theme and results for the .com site. Possible?

  • PHP/XPath: Iterating through ancestor nodes in XML using SimpleXML

    - by StackOverflowNewbie
    I need to loop through the Ancestors nodes in order to get corresponding BrowseNodeId and Name values. How do I do this using XPath? I'm trying something like the the following, but it's not working: //BrowseNode[1]//Ancestors[1]/BrowseNode/BrowseNodeId/text() //BrowseNode[1]//Ancestors[1]/BrowseNode/Name/text() I think the //Ancestors part of the XPath is actually searching the entire XML tree. What I need to do is visit each node to get the needed values. How do I do this? In the example below, I want: Europe - History - Subjects - Books. Example XML: <BrowseNode> <BrowseNodeId>4952</BrowseNodeId> <Name>France</Name> <Ancestors> <BrowseNode> <BrowseNodeId>4935</BrowseNodeId> <Name>Europe</Name> <Ancestors> <BrowseNode> <BrowseNodeId>9</BrowseNodeId> <Name>History</Name> <Ancestors> <BrowseNode> <BrowseNodeId>1000</BrowseNodeId> <Name>Subjects</Name> <IsCategoryRoot>1</IsCategoryRoot> <Ancestors> <BrowseNode> <BrowseNodeId>283155</BrowseNodeId> <Name>Books</Name> </BrowseNode> </Ancestors> </BrowseNode> </Ancestors> </BrowseNode> </Ancestors> </BrowseNode> </Ancestors> </BrowseNode>

  • What corresponds to the Unity 'registration name' in the unity configuration section?

    - by unanswered
    When registering and resolving types in a Unity Container using code you can use 'Registration Names' to disambiguate your references that derive from an interface or base class hierarchy. The 'registration name' text would be provided as a parameter to the register and resolve methods: myContainer.RegisterType<IMyService, CustomerService>("Customers"); and MyServiceBase result = myContainer.Resolve<MyServiceBase>("Customers"); However when I register types in the configuration files I do not see where the 'registration name' can be assigned I register an Interface: <typeAlias alias="IEnlistmentNotification" type="System.Transactions.IEnlistmentNotification, System.Transactions, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" /> Then two types that I happen to know implement that interface: <typeAlias alias="PlaylistManager" type="Sample.Dailies.Grid.Workers.PlaylistManager, Sample.Dailies.Grid.Workers, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null" /> <typeAlias alias="FlexAleManager" type="Sample.Dailies.Grid.Workers.FlexAleManager, Sample.Dailies.Grid.Workers, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null" /> Then I provide mappings between the interface and the two types: <type type="IEnlistmentNotification" mapTo="FlexAleManager"><lifetime type="singleton"/></type> <type type="IEnlistmentNotification" mapTo="PlaylistManager"><lifetime type="singleton"/></type> That seems to correspond to this code: myContainer.RegisterType<IEnlistmentNotification, FlexAleManager>(); myContainer.RegisterType<IEnlistmentNotification, PlaylistManager>(); but clearly what I need is a disambiguating config entry that corresponds to this code: myContainer.RegisterType<IEnlistmentNotification, FlexAleManager>("Flex"); myContainer.RegisterType<IEnlistmentNotification, PlaylistManager>("Play"); Then when I get into my code I could do this: IEnlistmentNotification flex = myContainer.Resolve<IEnlistmentNotification>("Flex"); IEnlistmentNotification play = myContainer.Resolve<IEnlistmentNotification>("Play"); See what I mean? Thanks, Kimball

  • Form validation

    - by kielie
    Hi guys, I need to create a form that has many of the same fields, that have to be inserted into a database, but the problem I have is that if a user only fills in one or two of the rows, the form will still submit the blank data of the empty fields along with the one or two fields the user has filled in. How can I check for the rows that have not been filled in and leave them out of the query? or check for those that have been filled in and add them to the query. . . The thank_you.php file will capture the $_POST variables and add them to the database. <form method="post" action="thank_you.php"> Name: <input type="text" size="28" name="name1" /> E-mail: <input type="text" size="28" name="email1" /> <br /> Name: <input type="text" size="28" name="name2" /> E-mail: <input type="text" size="28" name="email2" /> <br /> Name: <input type="text" size="28" name="name3" /> E-mail: <input type="text" size="28" name="email3" /> <br /> Name: <input type="text" size="28" name="name4" /> E-mail: <input type="text" size="28" name="email4" /> <input type="image" src="images/btn_s.jpg" /> </form> I am assuming that I could use javascript or jQuery to accomplish this, how would I go about doing this? Thanx in advance for the help.

  • How should I name my SQL query files? Should I use some methodology?

    - by Mehper C. Palavuzlar
    We have an Oracle 10g database (a huge one) in our company, and I provide employees with data upon their requests. My problem is, I save almost every SQL query I wrote, and now my list has grown too much. I want to organize and rename these .sql files so that I can find the one I want easily. At the moment, I'm using some folders named as Sales Dept, Field Team, Planning Dept, Special etc. and under those folders there are .sql files like Delivery_sales_1, Delivery_sales_2, ... Sent_sold_lostsales_endpoints, ... Sales_provinces_period, Returnrates_regions_bymonths, ... Jack_1, Steve_1, Steve_2, ... I try to name the files regarding their content but this makes file names longer and does not completely meet my needs. Sometimes someone comes and demands a special report, and I give the file his name, but this is also not so good. I know duplicates or very similar files are growing in time but I don't have control over them. Can you show me the right direction to rename all these files and folders and organize my queries for easy and better control? TIA.

  • codeigniter mulitple LIKE db query using associative array- but all from the same column name...?

    - by Inigo
    Hi, I'm trying to query my database using codeigniter's active record class. I have a number of blog posts stored in a table. The query is for a search function, which will pull out all the posts that have certain categories assigned to them. So the 'category' column of the table will have a list of all the categories for that post in no particular order, separated by commas, like so: Politics,History,Sociology.. etc. If a user selects, say, Politics and History, The titles of all the posts that have BOTH these categories should be returned. Right? So, the list of categories queried will be the array $cats. I thought this would work- foreach ($cats as $cat){ $this->db->like('categories',$cat); } By Producing this- $this-db-like('categories','Politics'); $this-db-like('categories','History'); (Which would produce- 'WHERE categories LIKE '%Politics%' AND categories LIKE '%History%') But it doesn't work, it seems to only produce the first statement. The problem I guess is that the column name is the same for each of the chained queries. There doesn't seem to be anything in the CI user guide about this (http://codeigniter.com/user_guide/database/active_record.html) as they seem to assume that each chained statement is going to be for a different column name. Does anyone know how I could do this? Thanks! edit- Of course it is not possible to use an associative array in one statement as it would have to contain duplicate keys- in this case every key would have to be 'categories'...
