  I'm trying to deploy ASP.NET MVC 2 project (VS2010) to Win Server 2008 R2 It works perfectly on dev machine. But strange error occurs at Server 2008 R2: When .ascx file has header that uses generic type: <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<MyProj.Web.Models.RangeViewModel>" %> Server reports Could not load type 'System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<MyProj.Web.Models.RangeViewModel>'. But when I declare somewhere in .cs file type like public class AA : System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<MyProj.Web.Models.RangeViewModel> { } and use it instead in <%@ Control header. Then it works as it should. Am I missing something?

• CSS: Setting width/height as Percentage minus pixels

  Hi all, I've seen this question asked in a couple other contexts on SO, but I thought it would be worth asking again for my particular case. I'm trying to create some re-usable CSS classes for more consistency and less clutter on my site, and I'm stuck on trying to standardize one thing I use frequently. I have a container div that I don't want to set the height for (because it will vary depending on where on the site it is), and inside it is a header div, and then an unordered list of items, all with CSS applied to them. It looks a lot like this: I want the unordered list to take up the remaining room in the container div, knowing that the header div is 18px tall. I just don't know how to specify the list's height as "the result of 100% minus 18px". Does anyone have any advice in this situation? Thanks very much.

• postgres - remove whitespace from field?

  I imported a bunch of data using pgloader, and am now seeing that there's a bunch of whitespace (both spaces and tabs) inside of the fields. Is there a way to quickly update the fields to remove it from the beginning, the end, and the middle? I know there's TRIM, but that won't work for me... As an added problem... I only want to remove double spaces and replace it with a single space, but there might be 5 or 6 spaces in a row, and I'd prefer not to have to rerun a replace query until they're all ok? I was looking at regex_replace, but, I'm not sure how to make certain that it removes it from the middle of a string as well...

• android: tablerow mixed with columns and multiline text

  I am trying to have a tablelayout contains several tablerows. One of the rows contains 4 buttons, while the second row contains a very long text. However, the width of the button stretches with the text in the second row. My problem is that bindings are not working inside the DataGrid, and I have no clue of why this isn't working. • ASP.NET - Extend gridview to allow filtering, sorting, paging, etc...

  I have seen threads on many sites regarding extending the gridview control so obviously this will be a duplicate. But I haven't found any that truly extend the control to the extent that you could have custom sorting (with header images), filtering by putting drop downs or textboxes in header columns (on a column by column basis) and custom paging (one that doesn't return all records but just returns the ones requested for the given page). Are there any good tutorials that show the inner-workings of the gridview and how to override the proper functions? I've seen several snippets here and there but none seem to really work and explain things well. Any links would be appreciated. Thanks!

After I restart nginx I'm getting error: SSL_CTX_use_PrivateKey_file(".../example.com.key") failed (SSL: error:0B080074:x509 certificate routines:X509_check_private_key:key values mismatch) I found some solution here: http://nginx.org/en/docs/http/configuring_https_servers.html#chains but i'm not using of any bundles, Any ideas on what is the issue ?   Storyline Trying to migrate a database from MySQL to PostgreSQL. All the documentation I have read covers, in great detail, how to migrate the structure. I have found very little documentation on migrating the data. The schema has 13 tables (which have been migrated successfully) and 9 GB of data. MySQL version: 5.1.x PostgreSQL version: 8.4.x I want to use the R programming language to analyze the data using SQL select statements; PostgreSQL has PL/R, but MySQL has nothing (as far as I can tell). A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... Create the database location (/var has insufficient space; also dislike having the PostgreSQL version number everywhere -- upgrading would break scripts!): sudo mkdir -p /home/postgres/main sudo cp -Rp /var/lib/postgresql/8.4/main /home/postgres sudo chown -R postgres.postgres /home/postgres sudo chmod -R 700 /home/postgres sudo usermod -d /home/postgres/ postgres All good to here.   My website is running on Asp.net v4 , IIS 7 , Windows server 2008. My cpu is running on 20-30% and the site is responding quickly. Every 2-5 mins i'm receiving the following error: Event code: 3001 Event message: The request has been aborted. I was wondering whether the following are possible using the package: Add help texts beside/below input/select fields and textareas (e.g. "This field is required", "Example: qwerty123") Add/modify attributes for the input/select fields and textareas (e.g. adding the following attributes: class, id, name, maxlength, minlength, etc.) Add custom validations like checking whether a particular field should be unique or checking a value against a regular expression Modify the error messages Add another column to the table generated by the form Also note that djangoforms.ModelForm is different from django.forms.Form.

  I have a Windows 2008 R2 Virtual Server. I removed the "Default Web Site" using IIS Manager and now all my other sites now report an error saying they can't access the site (or something similar). I thought I could just remove the role, re-install IIS again and start with a clean slate.   What publishing frameworks (publishing only, NOT full-blown CMS) based on XML, XSLT sitemaps and pipelines exist, are stable, active, and simpler / lighter than Cocoon? I have glanced at: mod_xslt (http://www.mod-xslt2.com/) which seemed to be exactly that, but looks all but dead, and required a complex setup, and apparently supported only libxslt as an XSLT processor (I'd like to be able to use Saxon and XSLT 2.0 of course). Apache Forrest (http://forrest.apache.org/), but I don't understand if it is really simpler than Cocoon or is rather an additionnal thing on top of Cocoon? What I'm looking for is something that does just this: recieves an HTTP GET "runs it" through a sitemap finds a pipeline: source.xml - xslt1.xsl - xslt2.xsl - xsltn.xsl - serialize runs the pipeline serves the serialized result to the client and: uses Saxon (or is "processor independant") can be installed "lightly", that is: should not require much more configuration than the sitemap Maybe I'm describing an early version of Cocoon, or a future version of an XProc implementation... Anyway, does such a tool exist?

• jqGrid adding new row with XML Data

  Hi Everyone, I am using jQGrid in my ASP.NET MVC application with add row feature. My problem is I have to save XML data in some of the row fields. But while posting the new row with some fields having plain xml, to server I get Internal server error. By default jqGrid perhaps expects json or text data to be posted on server while adding a new row. I used beforeSubmit method for workaround to convert xml first to json and then send to server, but while converting json back to xml I lose the orginal structure of the xml. FYI: I used JsonReaderWriterFactory on server to convert it back. Your help will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

When i create a new object for CustomerMaster and trying to update the fields using TryUpdateModel, it is not updating. But the TryUpdateModel is working fine on the Edit Profile Page and that particular record is referenced.   I'm trying to install xuggler Java libraries in Tomcat (version 5.5) on fedora-release-7-3 Should I install the binaries available for download on xuggler website or build my own (http://www.xuggle.com/xuggler/downloads/build.jsp)? I took the easy step first and installed the readymade binaries downloaded from http://www.xuggle.com/xuggler/downloads/ in usr/local/xuggler folder on my Linux server and then copied the jar files from share/java/jars folder to Tomcat's $CATALINA_HOME/shared/lib directory (as recommended by http://wiki.xuggle.com/Frequently_Asked_Questions#I_get_an_.22UnsatisfiedLinkError.22_when_I_run_Xuggler-based_Applications_in_Tomcat These are some 6 .jar files, including xuggle-xuggler.jar After restarting Tomcat, I'm still getting "java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no xuggle-xuggler in java.library.path" exception when my Java code attempts to invoke some xuggler method such as the one to find video duration of an flv file. What am I doing wrong? Any help is very much appreciated!

  Hi, I have multiple CSV files which I need to parse in a loop to gather information. The problem is that while they are the same format, some are delimited by '\t' and others by ','. After this, I want to remove the double-quote from around the string. Can python split via multiple possible delimiters?
