    I am writing a program that will need to measure time in minutes. To be exact, it will wait 10 minutes, execute some code, wait 2 minutes, execute more code and repeat this 5 times (anyone guess what I'm trying to do?) and I am wondering how to do the breaks.     If I get some value by using getline( cin, myStr ); a newline is printed after the information the user entered - logically as he pressed enter: Please enter something: ABC <enter => \n> This text is printed out by the program and should be in the same line as before How to keep the newline after user input away? I'm using MSVC 2010 and build a simple console app using iostream and string as main libraries.

    Is there a way to stop other subs from running while in a separate sub. for instance say your in the sub CreateNumber() and the subs are setup like CreateNumber() AddNumber() DeleteNumber() Is there a way to be in CreateNumber() and call a function to stop AddNumber from running after creaetNumber() is finished? i just want my program to sit there to wait for an event to happen.

    Hello everyone, Is there a possibility to take a picture using phone's camera without user interaction? I'd like to write a short app that only takes sequence of pictures and the user should be able to set number of pictures, location, quality and time between shots. After starting the app should take pictures without further interaction. This program should for examlple take a sequence of 250 pictures of moving clouds so I could make a ten second movie from those pics. Greeting and sorry for my english ;)

  • Get gprof to profile based on wall-clock time?

    My understanding is that by default gprof takes into account CPU time. Is there a way to get it to profile based on wall-clock time? My program does a lot of disk i/o, so the CPU time it uses only represents a fraction of the actual execution time. I need to know which portions of the disk i/o take up the most time.

  • C# MySQL Connector works in IDE, not after publish?

    For some reason I can't seem to get the MySQL Net Connector to work with C# outside of the IDE. I have a very simple program working just fine in the IDE (connecting to the database and everything) but when I publish the code and run the .application file (on my local computers desktop or off the company server) it says it can't connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :( Thank you

  • How do I get Nunit to run selenium tests against different servers?

    I have an Nunit test which uses selenium RC to run tests against our UI. I want to run the tests against 2 different servers, which means having the call to selenium.open() with 2 different servers. However, I don't want to have 2 different Nunit test suites that do the same thing but against different servers. I need a way of passing parameters from Nant or the Nunit driver program to specific which server to test against. Is there anyway to do this?

    When using imageio.imageio.read iget a can't create ImageInput Stream. I have a catch exception around it so the program survives but i was wondering if theres a way to put an if statement round it that checks to see if it falied and then attempt to read it again if it did. basically asking if there is a test for exceptions?

I'd like to know how this is achieved by a program. Additionally, is there a way by which we can trick such programs as if the output stream is a terminal where it actually is a file (especially when they don't have any options that affect output formatting)?

Could someone help me find a function which will return a FILE* and use the Windows specific version of mkdir in order to create the folder structure for fopen to never fail to open a new file in the specified location because one of the folders does not exist.     I have a large data file that is creatd from a shell script. Next script processes it by sorting and reading several times, that takes more than 14 hours, it is not viable. I want to replace this long running script with a program, probably in JAVA, C, or COBOl, that can run on windows or on sun solaris. I have to read a group of records everytime, sort and process and write to the output sort file and at the same time insert into db2/sql tables.
