• Windows7 IIS7: zips don't have php5isapi.dll Can I use php.dll instead?

  The page: How to Install PHP 5.2 on IIS 7and Windows Vista (and a few others) reference a mysterious php5isapi.dll which is not in the Windows install, or the zip files: php-5.3.2-Win32-VC9-x86.zip - VC9 x86 Thread Safe php-5.3.2-nts-Win32-VC9-x86.zip - VC9 x86 Non Thread Safe There was another post on stackoverflow that said it's obsolete and replaced by "fastapi" but no instructions mention this. I did find a php.dll in the zip file. Can I use that instead of php5isapi.dll? It's very frustrating trying to install basic PHP5 on Windows with MySQL.

• Java Audit table logging, MySQL equivalent of CONTEXT_INFO.

  Hi, I am looking for the MySQL equivalent of CONTEXT_INFO that is present in SQL Server. Or any other session variable like thing using which I can pass the username to the trigger. I am currently working on logging table data for audit. I need to pass the username of the logged in user to the delete trigger. Any ideas? We are deleting the rows from the table in a few cases and marking them as deleted in others. Any alternate solutions are welcome. I thought of using AOP but it could prove problematic when deleting a cascade. I want to look into Hibernate Interceptors, not sure at this point if that works. If I can find the MySQL equivalent of CONTEXT_INFO, my job is done and elegant as well. Thanks, Julia.

• NoSuchPortException using RXTX Java library on Windows?

  I have followed the instructions to setup rxtx on windows from http://www.jcontrol.org/download/readme_rxtx_en.html. What I did exactly was copy rxtxSerial.dll to "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_07\jre\bin" and copied RXTXcomm.jar to "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_07\jre\lib\ext" (my JAVA_HOME variable is set to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_07\jre) I also added RXTXcomm.jar to my eclipse project. But when I run it, it still says "NoSuchPortException" Devel Library ========================================= Native lib Version = RXTX-2.0-7pre1 Java lib Version = RXTX-2.0-7pre1 java.lang.ClassCastException: gnu.io.RXTXCommDriver cannot be cast to gnu.io.CommDriver thrown while loading gnu.io.RXTXCommDriver gnu.io.NoSuchPortException at gnu.io.CommPortIdentifier.getPortIdentifier(CommPortIdentifier.java:218) at TwoWaySerialComm.connect(TwoWaySerialComm.java:20) at TwoWaySerialComm.main(TwoWaySerialComm.java:107) In my java file, I tell it: try { (new TwoWaySerialComm()).connect("COM4"); } and I've also tried the Java Comm API. Both cannot recognize my serial port but I am sure I followed the instruction correctly. There files are there. Does anybody have any idea what it could be?

• Cannot use Html.ActionLink in asp.net mvc spark files

  I'm using the spark view engine with my asp.net mvc application. In my aspx pages, I can succesfully use Html.Actionlink, but when I attempt it in spark files, it doesnt show up in intellisense, and when i try to run it anyway, i get: Dynamic view compilation failed. c:\Users\midas\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\ChurchMVC\ChurchMVC\Views\Home\Index.spark(73,25): error CS1061: 'System.Web.Mvc.HtmlHelper' does not contain a definition for 'ActionLink' and no extension method 'ActionLink' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Web.Mvc.HtmlHelper' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) I do have system.web.mvc referenced, and I have added in _global.spark. None of that helps. Any ideas?

• how to use Foreign key in L2E or EF?

  I have a User table which has a PrivilegeId foreign key points to a Privilege table and is the primary key there. In Entity Framework, the VS will not generate a PrivilegeId variable under Users for you. It will generate a Privilege property and PrivilegeReference property for you instead. When I load a User, the Privilege property is null by default. That means EF does not load refered entity for you automatically. I think I may did something wrong? I cannot load Privilege separatedly because I have no info about the Privilege at that time. I guess EF should load the refered entities for me but I missed something. anybody can help me?

  I was looking for a way to route http://www.example.com/WebService.asmx to http://www.example.com/service/ using only the ASP.NET 3.5 Routing framework without needing to configure the IIS server. Until now I have done what most tutorials told me, added a reference to the routing assembly, configured stuff in the web.config, added this to the Global.asax: protected void Application_Start(object sender, EventArgs e) { RouteCollection routes = RouteTable.Routes; routes.Add( "WebService", new Route("service/{*Action}", new WebServiceRouteHandler()) ); } ...created this class: public class WebServiceRouteHandler : IRouteHandler { public IHttpHandler GetHttpHandler(RequestContext requestContext) { // What now? } } ...and the problem is right there, I don't know what to do. The tutorials and guides I've read use routing for pages, not webservices. Is this even possible? Ps: The route handler is working, I can visit /service/ and it throws the NotImplementedException I left in the GetHttpHandler method.

• How can I add GET variables to the end of the current page url using a form with php?

  I have some database information that is being shown on a page. I am using a pagination class that uses the $_GET['page'] variable in the url. When you click on a different pagination anchor tag, it changes $_GET['page'] to a new number in the url and shows the corresponding results. I have sort and search features which uses the $_GET['searchby'] and $_GET['search_input'] variables. The user enters their search or sort criteria on a form that is using GET. The variables are then put into the url allowing for the correct results to be shown. The problem I am having is that whenever I click on a pagination link, it adds that to end of the url and erases the search or sort GET variables. The same thing happens when I submit the search/sort form. How can I add GET variables to the end of the current page url using the anchor tag and search/sort form?

Basically, I was to overlay some text (text) at a given coordinate (x,y) I have the below function in a package; protected BufferedImage Process2(BufferedImage image){ Graphics2D gO = image.createGraphics(); gO.setColor(Color.red); gO.setFont(new Font( "SansSerif", Font.BOLD, 12 )); gO.drawString(this.text, this.x, this.y); System.err.println(this.text+this.x+this.y); return image; } I feel like im missing something patently obvious; every reference to Graphics2D I can find is dealing with either games or writing directly to a file but I just want a BufferedImage returned. with the overlay 'rendered' In the current code, the image appears out the end unchanged.   Goal: Make it possible to decorate class methods. When a class method gets decorated, it gets stored in a dictionary so that other class methods can reference it by a string name. Motivation: I want to implement the equivalent of ASP.Net's WebMethods. I am building this on top of google app engine, but that does not affect the point of difficulty that I am having.   I've just been playing with Scala, and installed the Eclipse plugin as described at http://www.scala-lang.org/node/94, but after entering the "Hello World" test example and setting up the run configuration as described, I get the following error Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: main For reference the code is package hello object HelloWorld extends Application { println("Hello World!") } I've tinkered a bit with the obvious solutions (adding a main method, adding a singleton object with a main method) but I'm clearly doing something wrong. Can anyone get their test example to work, or point out what I am doing wrong?

• Anyone successfully using Commission Junction API ?

  Is anyone successfully using the CJ web services? I just keep getting java.lang.NullPointerExceptions even though my app is .net (clearly their errors). CJ support doesn't even know what a web service is. I googled and found many people getting this or other errors. Question is: is it a temporary problem or am I doomed to parse manually downloaded reports for eternity? The specific API I'm trying to use is the daily publisher commission service. • Why does WPF toggle button pulse once unchecked

  Wihtin a Desktop app I have a toggle button: For the Checked event I am setting a value and then executing a method FilterView(); //ommitting code Unchecked state is just the opposite. resets a variable and executed the method again The question I have is I noticed when I uncheck the toggle button the button continues to pulse or flash ( going from blue to chrome) as if it still has focus. The button will stay like this until another button is clicked. Is there a way to remove this focus so that when the button is unchecked the button goes back to a unchecked state without the flashing / pulsing color. As you can see from above this is a standard toggle button no styles or custom I tested this on just a regular button and I found the same occured when clicked the button will continue to pulse / flash until another button is clicked. How do you work around this or prevent this effect from happening. Thank you

  I have a global object "X" and a class "A". I need a function F in A which have the ability to modify the content of X. For some reason, X cannot be a data member of A (but A can contain some member Y as reference of X), and also, F cannot have any parameter, so I cannot pass X as an parameter into F. (Here A is an dialog and F is a slot without any parameter, such as accept() ) How can I modify X within F if I cannot pass X into it? Is there any way to let A know that "X" is the object it need to modify?? I try to add something such as SetItem to specify X in A, but failed.

• PHP's SimpleXML not handling &#8217 ; properly

  I'm parsing an RSS feed that has an &#8217; in it. SimpleXML turns this into a ’. What can I do to stop this? Just to answer some of the questions that have come up - I'm pulling an RSS feed using CURL. If I output this directly to the browser, the &#8217; displays as ’ which is what's expected. When I create a new SimpleXMLElement using this, (e.g. $xml = new SimpleXmlElement($raw_feed); and dump the $xml variable, every instance of &#8217; is replaced with ’. It appears that SimpleXML is having trouble with UTF-8 ampersand encoded characters. (The XML declaration specifies UTF-8.) I do have control over the feed after CURL has retrieved the feed before it's used to construct a SimpleXML element.

  Hi, I'm trying to generate javadoc with JAutodoc 1.7 for Eclipse 3.5. I've sucessfully created templates for files, classes, methods. However, on parameters and exceptions I get the default @param and @throws tags generated even if I change the template in preferences/JAutodoc/templates/parameters. This is incompatible with the coding standards they have given us. Any help? Btw, I tried to use the default eclipse comment template but I couldn't find any enclosing_method_arguments variable in my version. Any ideas why that might be?

This was a two hour movie in which the Bradys got together to celebrate Christmas, introducing the world to the spouses and children of the Brady kids. This movie was the highest rated TV-movie of 1988. • Is post-sudden-power-loss filesystem corruption on an SSD drive's ext3 partition "expected behavior"?

  My company makes an embedded Debian Linux device that boots from an ext3 partition on an internal SSD drive. Because the device is an embedded "black box", it is usually shut down the rude way, by simply cutting power to the device via an external switch. This is normally okay, as ext3's journalling keeps things in order, so other than the occasional loss of part of a log file, things keep chugging along fine. However, we've recently seen a number of units where after a number of hard-power-cycles the ext3 partition starts to develop structural issues -- in particular, we run e2fsck on the ext3 partition and it finds a number of issues like those shown in the output listing at the bottom of this Question. Running e2fsck until it stops reporting errors (or reformatting the partition) clears the issues. My question is... what are the implications of seeing problems like this on an ext3/SSD system that has been subjected to lots of sudden/unexpected shutdowns? My feeling is that this might be a sign of a software or hardware problem in our system, since my understanding is that (barring a bug or hardware problem) ext3's journalling feature is supposed to prevent these sorts of filesystem-integrity errors. (Note: I understand that user-data is not journalled and so munged/missing/truncated user-files can happen; I'm specifically talking here about filesystem-metadata errors like those shown below) My co-worker, on the other hand, says that this is known/expected behavior because SSD controllers sometimes re-order write commands and that can cause the ext3 journal to get confused. In particular, he believes that even given normally functioning hardware and bug-free software, the ext3 journal only makes filesystem corruption less likely, not impossible, so we should not be surprised to see problems like this from time to time. Which of us is right?   I've created a Delegate that I intend to call Async. Module Level Delegate Sub GetPartListDataFromServer(ByVal dvOriginal As DataView, ByVal ProgramID As Integer) Dim dlgGetPartList As GetPartListDataFromServer The following code I use in a method Dim dlgGetPartList As New GetPartListDataFromServer(AddressOf AsyncThreadMethod_GetPartListDataFromServer) dlgGetPartList.BeginInvoke(ucboPart.DataSource, ucboProgram.Value, AddressOf AsyncCallback_GetPartListDataFromServer, Nothing) The method runs and does what it needs to The Asyn callback is fired upon completion where I do an EndInvoke Sub AsyncCallback_GetPartListDataFromServer(ByVal ar As IAsyncResult) dlgGetPartList.EndInvoke(Nothing) End Sub It works as long as the method that starts the BeginInvoke on the delegate only ever runs while there is not a BeginInvoke/Thread operation already running. Problem is that the a new thread could be invoked while another thread on the delegate is still running and hasnt yet been EndInvoke'd. The program needs to be able to have the delegate run in more than one instance at a time if necessary and they all need to complete and have EndInvoke called. Once I start another BeginInvoke I lose the reference to the first BeginInvoke so I am unable to clean up the new thread with an EndInvoke. What is a clean solution and best practice to overcome this problem?

But I still have little idea where to start. In our software we are going to build mesh and then make calculations, but how do I import solid bodies from CAD/CAE software? 1) How CAD/CAE models are organised? How solid bodies are represented? What are the possibilities of DWG, DXF, IGES, STEP formats? There is e.g. a complete DXF reference, but it's too difficult for me to understand without knowing basic concepts. 2) Are there C++ libraries to import solid bodies from CAD/CAE file formats? Won't it be too difficult to build a complete model to be able to import comprehensive file?

  Which parts of the framework require a user to be more than a Standard User? The reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to compile a list of possible issues with our existing applications when migrating to Windows 7. Now, I can think of a few things myself: Writing to Eventlog Writing to Registry Keys outside of Current_User scope Getting an Environment variable etc... I really would like a more complete list and so far I've not come across a decent resource in which all this stuff is listed. Note that I'm not looking for ways of elevating the priviliges for the exsiting apps (which can be done by using a manifes), I'm simply idenitifying actions in code that might cause issues.

• "code too large" compilation error in java

  Hello all, Is there any maximum size for code in java.. i wrote a function with more than 10,000 lines. Actually , each line assigns a value to an array variable.. arts_bag[10792]="newyorkartworld"; arts_bag[10793]="leningradschool"; arts_bag[10794]="mailart"; arts_bag[10795]="artspan"; arts_bag[10796]="watercolor"; arts_bag[10797]="sculptures"; arts_bag[10798]="stonesculpture"; And while compiling , i get this error : code too large How do i overcome this ?
