  • Login and Redirect

    - by xRobot
    This is my login views: def login(request): redirect_to = request.REQUEST.get("next") if request.method == 'POST': formL = LoginForm(data=request.POST) if formL.is_valid(): if not redirect_to or '//' in redirect_to or ' ' in redirect_to: redirect_to = "/blogs/" from django.contrib.auth import login login(request, formL.get_user()) if request.session.test_cookie_worked(): request.session.delete_test_cookie() return HttpResponseRedirect(redirect_to) else: formL = LoginForm(request) request.session.set_test_cookie() return render_to_response('blogs.html', { 'formL': formL, }, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) login = never_cache(login) When I go, for example, to example.com/myblog/ then I have been redirect to example.com/accounts/login/?next=/myblog/ but when I insert user and psw for login then I have been redirect to /blogs/ and not /myblog/ Why ?

  • How to do Map this or Add to calendar like gmail?

    - by dhaval
How would gmail have implemented this feature? What technologies go behind enabling such features? Any pointers or programming resource would be useful? It could be language neutral or specific to any language? Do you think they do something with antlr etc., to achieve the above?

  • Having a Backgroundworker refresh splash screen

    - by Jiri
Hi, Would it be theoretically possible to make BackgroundWorker in a class to periodically refresh existing splash screen form, or is that impossible? (I know that it's probably bad design, but currently I do not see any better way.) Please keep in mind that: I do not want the background worker to do the loading as it would be terribly hard to implement. I can't use the inbuilt splash screen support I'm aware of DoEvents alternative but I do not want to go this path, it would very hard to implement as well, and not reliable.

  • How do I test controllers and views?

    - by ryeguy
I'm using rails for the first time, and I love how test-oriented it is and how it encourages you to write tests. I'm just having a hard time figuring out what I should be testing when I test controllers and views. I know that you should test redirects and authorization in the controller tests, but what else? And what should go in view tests? If I'm "following the rules" and only putting loops, conditionals, and echoes in my views, then what is there left to test?

  • How do I present a RichFaces tree with a specific node already expanded

    - by Brummo
I have a JSF page that displays a RichFaces Treeview, from a TreeNodeImpl model generated in the backing bean. Now I want the page to display initially with a specific node expanded / selected. Preferrably this expansion should be controlled from the backing bean (no javascript wizardry) The whole tree has been generated at the time of initialization of the backing bean Is this possible? I have seen mentioning of TreeState, is that the way to go?

  • Why did you pick your current job?

    - by Nathan Feger
Why are you working where you are right now? Specifically, how did you go from offer to acceptance? I have found that it is pretty difficult to figure out how to analyze a new company and I'm looking for some advice. My current choice was heavily influenced by a former mentor of mine. Yet, I'll probably need to be my own man soon enough... So, what did it for you?

  • flex coverflow adding links to the images

    - by nivcaner
Hi, I'm using sebastiaan holtrop's cover flow component in Flex. I would like to be able to add the sources to the images using xml. I would also like each image to have its own URL assosiated with it, so when I click it (if it's in the front of the coverflow), I go to that URL. I'm a bit clueless as to how to get that done (this is the first time I use Flex and the project docs think I'm a higher level Flex programmer...). Thanks, Niv

  • Ruby library for manipulating existing PDF

    - by simonwh
I'm searching for a library to edit already existing PDF's and add a watermark to each page, for example. Could also be blank every other page etc. There seem to be a few PDF libraries out there, but only very few of them can edit existing PDF's and I'm a bit lost on which way to go. Any recommendations? Thank you.

Im trying to force my phone to go to sleep as soon as i turn my screen off, but whenever i install with adb, packagemanager informs me that it wont grant the permission i need, so my service throws an exception. I was able to install another app called power save mode toggle which has the same permission, and it seems to work, so i should be able to get this to work, right?

  • How to Profile R Code that Includes SNOW Cluster

    - by James
Hi, I have a nested loop that I'm using foreach, DoSNOW, and a SNOW socket cluster to solve for. How should I go about profiling the code to make sure I'm not doing something grossly inefficient. Also is there anyway to measure the data flows going between the master and nodes in a Snow cluster? Thanks, James
