  • How to dynamic adding rows into asp.net table ?

    - by user359706
    How can I add rows in a table from server-side? if (!Page.IsPostBack) { Session["table"] = TableId; }else TableId = (Table)Session["table"]; } protected void btnAddinRow_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { num_row = (TableId.Rows).Count; TableRow r = new TableRow(); TableCell c1 = new TableCell(); TableCell c2 = new TableCell(); TextBox t = new TextBox(); t.ID = "textID" + num_row; t.EnableViewState = true; r.ID = "newRow" + num_row; c1.ID = "newC1" + num_row; c2.ID = "newC2" + num_row; c1.Text = "New Cell - " + num_row; c2.Controls.Add(t); r.Cells.Add(c1); r.Cells.Add(c2); TableId.Rows.Add(r); Session["table"] = TableId; } in debug I found out the number in the "TableID", but the rows are not drawn. Have you got an idea about this issue? Thanks

  • How can I layout a sidebar or pullquote?

    - by Rich
    I have 4 divs in a fixed width layout: a, b, c, and d, and they are ordered in the html like this: <div id="a"> </div> <div id="b"> </div> <div id="c"> </div> <div id="d"> </div> Using CSS, I want them to be laid out with divs a, b, and d in a vertical column, and div c to the right of and top-aligned with div b, like this: aaa aaa aaa bbbccc bbbccc bbbccc ddd ddd ddd I need this layout to work even though the divs contain unknown content, and so could be of varying length: aaa aaa aaa bbbccc bbbccc dddccc dddccc ddd or: aaa aaa aaa bbbccc bbb bbb ddd ddd ddd or even (if possible): aaa aaa bbbccc dddccc eeeccc eee I can't simply float div c to the right and then move it up, because, without using Javascript, I don't know the height of div b, and so don't know how much to move it up by. Is this possible in HTML and CSS, without reordering the divs?

  • copy rows with special condition

    - by pooria_googooli
    I have a table with a lot of columns. For example I have a table with these columns : ID,Fname,Lname,Tel,Mob,Email,Job,Code,Company,...... ID column is auto number column. I want to copy all rows in this table to this table and change the company column value to 12 in this copied row. I don't want to write name all of the columns because I have a lot of table with a lot of columns. I tried this code but I had this error : declare @c int; declare @i int; select * into CmDet from CmDet; select @C= count(id) from CmDet; while @i < @C begin UPDATE CmDet SET company =12 WHERE company=11 set @i += 1 end error : Msg 2714, Level 16, State 6, Line 3 There is already an object named 'CmDet' in the database. I changed the code to this declare @c int declare @i int insert into CmDet select * from CmDet; select @C= count(id) from CmDet; while @i < @C begin UPDATE CmDet SET company =12 WHERE company=11 set @i += 1 end and I had this error : Msg 8101, Level 16, State 1, Line 3 An explicit value for the identity column in table 'CmDet' can only be specified when a column list is used and IDENTITY_INSERT is ON. What should I do ?

  • Does Spring MVC form submit data bind children objects automagically?

    - by predhme
    I have a data model that is something like this: public class Report { // report owner private User user; ... typical getter setter ... } public class User { ... omitted for clarity } What happens is when a report is created, the current user is set to the report user object. When the report is edited, the spring controller handling the POST request is receiving a report where the user object is null. Here is what my controller looks like: @Controller @RequestMapping("/report") public class ReportController { @RequestMapping(value = "/edit/{id}", method = RequestMethod.GET) public String editReport(@PathVariable Long id, Model model) { Report r = backend.getReport(id); // fully loads object model.addAttribute("report", report); return "report/edit"; } @RequestMapping(value = "/edit/{id}", method = RequestMethod.POST) public String process(@ModelAttribute("report") Report r) { backend.save(r); return "redirect:/report/show" + r.getId(); } } I ran things throw the debugger and it looks like in the editReport method the model object is storing the fully loaded report object (I can see the user inside the report). On the form jsp I can do the following: ${report.user.username} and the correct result is rendered. However, when I look at the debugger in the process method, the passed in Report r has a null user. I don't need to do any special data binding to ensure that information is retained do I?

  • JavaScript Fails to load content correctly on start

    - by Gaz_Edge
    I have inherited an image gallery constructed using javascript. I believe it uses a variation of JQuery, but it seems to have been heavily edited. The gallery loads the first image on page load. Each image has comments below them. There are forward and backward arrows that move between images. The problem I seem to have is that if there is a comment on image one, it is not loaded on page start, the only way to get it to display is to click forward to the next image, then click back to image one. The comment is then shown. All the comments are loaded into a script in the header under var sent_comments = [{COMMENTS}] The comment HTML code on loading is as follows; <div id="comments_container"> <div id="comments"> </div> </div> Once I have clicked to image two and then back to image one, the code is; <div id="comments_container"> <div id="comments"> SOME COMMENT </div> </div> Previous image button is: <a class="prev save_state" href="#"> <img src="/next.png?" alt="Next"> </a> Im new to javascript so not really sure what I will need to do to ensure the comment is loaded for the first image when the page loads. - by Josh K
    I have this simple Select box that is suppose to store the selected value in a hidden input, which can then be used for POST (I am doing it this way to use data from disabled drop down menus) <body> <?php $Z = $_POST[hdn]; ?> <form id="form1" name="form1" method="post" action="test.php"> <select name="whatever" id="whatever" onchange="document.getElementById('hdn').value = this.value"> <option value="1">1Value</option> <option value="2">2Value</option> <option value="3">3Value</option> <option value="4">4Value</option> </select> <input type="hidden" name ='hdn' id="hdn" /> <input type="submit" id='submit' /> <?php echo "<p>".$Z."</p>"; ?> </form> </body> The echo call works for the last 3 options (2,3,4) but if I select the first one it doesnt output anything, and even if i change first one it still doesnt output anything. Can someone explain to me whats going on, I think it might be a syntax issue.

  • Jquery push data to the good row.

    - by marharépa
    Hi! This is my big problem. This script put the information to a table. function handleAccountFeed(result) { var entries = result.feed.getEntries(); var outputTable = ['<table><tr>', '<th>Account Name</th>', '<th>Profile Name</th>', '<th>Profile ID</th>', '<th>Table Id</th></tr>']; for (var i = 0, entry; entry = entries[i]; ++i) { var row = [ entry.getPropertyValue('ga:AccountName'), entry.getTitle().getText(), entry.getPropertyValue('ga:ProfileId'), entry.getTableId().getValue() ].join('</td><td>'); outputTable.push('<tr><td>', row, '</td></tr>'); } outputTable.push('</table>'); document.getElementById('outputDiv').innerHTML = outputTable.join(''); } I've got an own SMARTY template, which makes a table: <table id="stuffs"> <tbody> {section name=i loop=$ownsites} <tr><td>{$ownsites[i].id}</td><td>{$ownsites[i].domain}</td><td>PLACE</td></tr> {/section} <tbody> </table> I'd like to put the TableId (getTableId().getValue()) to that row's PLACE where {$ownsites[i].domain} is equal to the jquery row's Title (getTitle().getText()) How can i do this within this jQuery script?

  • How to convert object to string list?

    - by user1381501
    I want to get two values by using linq select query and try to convert object to string list. I am trying to convert list to list. The code as below. I got the error when I convert object to string list : return returnvalue = (List)userlist; public List<string> GetUserList(string username) { List<User> UserList = new List<User>(); List<string> returnvalue=new List<string>(); try { string returnstring = string.Empty; DataTable dt = null; dt = Library.Helper.FindUser(username, 200); foreach (DataRow dr in dt.Rows) { User user = new User(); spuser.id = dr["ID"].ToString(); spuser.name = dr["Name"].ToString(); UserList.Adduser } } catch (Exception ex) { } List<SharePointMentoinUser> userlist = UserList.Select(a => new User { name = (string)a.name, id = (string)a.id }).ToList(); **return returnvalue = (List<string>)userlist;** }

  • How grouping and totaling are done into three tables using JOIN

    - by text
    Here are my tables respondents: field sample value respondentid : 1 age : 2 gender : male survey_questions: id : 1 question : Q1 answer : sample answer answers: respondentid : 1 question : Q1 answer : 1 --id of survey question I want to display all respondents who answered the certain survey, display all answers and total all the answer and group them according to the age bracket. I tried using this query: $sql = "SELECT res.Age, res.Gender, answer.id, answer.respondentid, SUM(CASE WHEN res.Gender='Male' THEN 1 else 0 END) AS males, SUM(CASE WHEN res.Gender='Female' THEN 1 else 0 END) AS females, CASE WHEN res.Age < 1 THEN 'age1' WHEN res.Age BETWEEN 1 AND 4 THEN 'age2' WHEN res.Age BETWEEN 4 AND 9 THEN 'age3' WHEN res.Age BETWEEN 10 AND 14 THEN 'age4' WHEN res.Age BETWEEN 15 AND 19 THEN 'age5' WHEN res.Age BETWEEN 20 AND 29 THEN 'age6' WHEN res.Age BETWEEN 30 AND 39 THEN 'age7' WHEN res.Age BETWEEN 40 AND 49 THEN 'age8' ELSE 'age9' END AS ageband FROM Respondents AS res INNER JOIN Answers as answer ON answer.respondentid=res.respondentid INNER JOIN Questions as question ON answer.Answer=question.id WHERE answer.Question='Q1' GROUP BY ageband ORDER BY res.Age ASC"; I was able to get the data but the listing of all answers are not present. What's wrong with my query. I want to produce something like this: ex: # of Respondents is 3 ages: 2,3 and 6 Question: what are your favorite subjects? Ages 1-4: subject 1: 1 subject 2: 2 subject 3: 2 total respondents for ages 1-4 : 2 Ages 5-10: subject 1: 1 subject 2: 1 subject 3: 0 total respondents for ages 5-10 : 1

  • sortable list using jquery ui not passing updated list order

  • How to submit to the server with JQuery.UI Dialog and ASP.Net?

    I am having issues with my php script that I am using for gathering a users followers by accessing the twitter API. The script works fine for a user that has < 5000 followers but I tried adjusting the script using cursors to collect the complete set of users. Here is my script: <?php $cursor = -1; $file = fopen ('ids.csv', 'w+'); fwrite($file, "User id\n\r"); for ($i = 0; $i <= 1; $i++) { $xml = getFollowers($cursor); foreach ($xml->ids->id as $id) { fwrite($file, $id . ", "); fwrite($file, "\n"); } $cursor = $xml->next_cursor; } function getFollowers ($cursor) { $xmldata = 'https://api.twitter.com/1/followers/ids.xml?cursor='.$cursor.'&screen_name=microsoft'; $open = fopen($xmldata, 'r'); $content = stream_get_contents($open); fclose($open); $xml = simplexml_load_file($xmldata); return $xml; } ?> I am getting an error Warning: fopen("https://api.twitter.com/1/followers/ids.xml?cursor=-1&screen_name=microsoft") failed to open stream HTTP request failed bad request warning: stream_get_contents() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given.   • How do I set a focus property on a TextInput that is built using AddChild?

  • custom sorting or ordering a table without resorting the whole shebang

    - by fuugus
    for ten years we've been using the same custom sorting on our tables, i'm wondering if there is another solution which involves fewer updates, especially since today we'd like to have a replication/publication date and would'nt like to have our replication replicate unnecessary entries. i had a look into nested sets, but it does'nt seem to do the job for us. base table: id | a_sort ---+------- 1 10 2 20 3 30 after inserting insert into table (a_sort) values(15) an entry at the second position. id | a_sort ---+------- 1 10 2 20 3 30 4 15 ordering the table with select * from table order by a_sort and resorting all the a_sort entries, updating at least id=(2,3,4) will of course produce the desired output id | a_sort ---+------- 1 10 4 20 2 30 3 40 the column names, the column count, datatypes, a possible join, possible triggers or the way the resorting is done is/are irrelevant to the problem. also we've found some pretty neat ways to do this task fast. only; how the heck can we reduce the updates in the db to 1 or 2 max. seems like an awfully common problem. the captain obvious in me thougth once "use an a_sort float(53), insert using a fixed value of ordervaluefirstentry+abs(ordervaluefirstentry-ordervaluenextentry)/2".. but this would only allow around 1040 "in between" entries - so never resorting seems a bit problematic ;)

  • Is a python dictionary the best data structure to solve this problem?

    - by mikip
    Hi I have a number of processes running which are controlled by remote clients. A tcp server controls access to these processes, only one client per process. The processes are given an id number in the range of 0 - n-1. Were 'n' is the number of processes. I use a dictionary to map this id to the client sockets file descriptor. On startup I populate the dictionary with the ids as keys and socket fd of 'None' for the values, i.e no clients and all pocesses are available When a client connects, I map the id to the sockets fd. When a client disconnects I set the value for this id to None, i.e. process is available. So everytime a client connects I have to check each entry in the dictionary for a process which has a socket fd entry of None. If there are then the client is allowed to connect. This solution does not seem very elegant, are there other data structures which would be more suitable for solving this? Thanks

  • Processing data from an AJAX request

    - by Josh K
    I have a PHP API I'm working with that outputs everything as JSON. I need to call one of the API methods and parse it out using an AJAX request. I am using jQuery (though it shouldn't matter). When I make the request it errors out with a "parsererror" as the textStatus and a "Syntax Error: invalid label" when I make the request. Simplified code: $.ajax ({ type: "POST", url: "http://mydomain.com/api/get/userlist/"+mid, dataType: "json", dataFilter: function(data, type) { /* Here we assume and pray */ users = eval(data); alert(users[1].id); }, success: function(data, textStatus, XMLHttpRequest) { alert(data.length); // Should be an array, yet is undefined. }, error: function(XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { alert(textStatus); alert(errorThrown); }, complete: function(XMLHttpRequest, textStatus) { alert("Done"); } }); If I leave off the eval(data) then everything works fine. Well, except for data still being undefined in success. Note that I'm taking an array of objects in PHP and then passing them out through json_encode. Would that make any difference? There has been no progress made on this. I'm willing to throw more code up if someone believes they can help. Here is the PHP side of things private function _get_user_colors($id) { $u = new User(); $u->get_where(array('id' => $id)); $bar = array(); $bar['user'] = $u->stored; foreach($user->colors as $color) { $bar['colors'][] = $color; } echo(json_encode($bar)); } I have had zero issues using this with other PHP based scripts. I don't know why Javascript would take issue with it.

  • Simply tag-based highlighting with Javascript

    - by nkd
    Hello, I got this code which works: <html> <head> <title>JS highlighting test</title> <script type="text/javascript"> function highlight() { var t = document.getElementById('highlight').innerHTML; t = t.replace(/(if|switch|for|while)\s*(\()/gi, "<b>$1</b>$2"); document.getElementById('highlight').innerHTML = t; } </script> </head> <body onload="javascript:highlight();"> <pre id="highlight"> 1 if(foo) { 2 bar(); 3 } 4 3 while(--baz) { 5 oof(); 6 } </pre> </body> </html> I would like to have it for all <pre> tags instead of just one with some specific and unique id as it works now. The best would be to have an combination of a specific tag with a specific id. Is it possible to extend the small JS function above to work this way (using some document.getElementsByTag(tag).getElementsById(id).innerHTML or something alike (I don't know what exactly suites the need) in a loop? I tried myself but with no real success. I need only as simple solution as possible, nothing really special. Thank you for your ideas. -- nkd

Here's a JSFiddle. http://jsfiddle.net/BmM6t/ Basically, these two divs are not resizing to anything less than 100% width: <div id="main_pic" class="main_div"> THIS IS WHERE THE MAIN PIC WILL GO. </div> <div id="signin" class="main_div"> SIGN IN TO THE SITE! <form> <label for="name">EMAIL/USERNAME:</label> <input type="text" name="name" id="name"> <label for="email">PASSWORD:</label> <input type="text" name="email" id="email"> <br /> <input type="submit" value="Let's Play!"> </form> </div> You'll see that the two divs with class main_div actually take up the entire width of the screen for some reason (you can see that if you inspect the element) even though their widths are clearly written. When you try to change the width of one of the main_div's it changes the width but if you inspect the element, it just changes the width of the object and adds padding around it to make sure it still takes up the entire width of the screen. I'm sure it's some little error I've made but I can't find it. Thanks for the help!
