Unable to turn off notice errors in PHP 5.3.2

Hi everyone, I recently migrated to PHP 5.3.2, and realized that I am unable to turn off notice errors in my site now. I went to php.ini, and in these lines: ; Common Values: ; E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE (Show all errors, except for notices and coding standards warnings.) ; E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE | E_STRICT (Show all errors, except for notices) ; E_COMPILE_ERROR|E_RECOVERABLE_ERROR|E_ERROR|E_CORE_ERROR (Show only errors) ; E_ALL | E_STRICT (Show all errors, warnings and notices including coding standards.) ; Default Value: E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE ; Development Value: E_ALL | E_STRICT ; Production Value: E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED ; http://php.net/error-reporting error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE ...I've tried setting everything (and I restart apache each time), but I am unable to get rid of notices. The only way I'm able to get rid of notice errors is by setting : display_errors = Off That is, of course, not something I can do since I need to see errors to fix them, and I would like to see errors on the webpage that I am coding rather than log them somewhere. Can someone help? Is this a bug in PHP 5.3.2 or something I am doing wrong? Thank you very much for your time! P. S. Also, would anyone know how I can get PHP 5.3.2 to support the .php3 extension?

WPF: How to bind and update display with DataContext

I'm trying to do the following thing: I have a TabControl with several tabs. Each TabControlItem.Content points to PersonDetails which is a UserControl Each BookDetails has a dependency property called IsEditMode I want a control outside of the TabControl , named ToggleEditButton, to be updated whenever the selected tab changes. Creating a simple JQuery tooltip?

Has anybody here got any experience in creating simple tooptips using JQuery? I have created a table: <tr id="mon_Section"> <td id="day_Title">Monday</td>` <td id="mon_Row" onmousemove="calculate_Time(event)"></td> </tr>` the function "calculate_Time" will be called and this gets the X position of the mouse cursor and from the value, uses IF and ELSE-IF statements to calculate the values of other variables i have created: var mon_Pos; var hour; var minute; var orig; var myxpos; function calculate_Time(event) { myxpos = event.pageX; myxpos = myxpos-194; if (myxpos<60) { orig = myxpos; minute = myxpos; hour = 07; } else if (myxpos>=60 && myxpos<120) { orig = myxpos; minute=myxpos-60; hour=08; } } How do i go about creating a stylized tooltip containing the Hour and Minute variables that i created, I need the tooltip to be updated everytime the X position of the cursor changes. I know that with myxpos variable does change whenever the mouse is moved because i tried it out using an alert(myxpos) and as expected, if the mouse moves, a new alert box popups with a new value. I just cant work out how to place that value in a tooltip?

Storing float numbers as strings in android database

So I have an app where I put arbitrary strings in a database and later extract them like this: Cursor DBresult = myDatabase.query(false, Constant.DATABASE_NOTES_TABLE_NAME, new String[] {"myStuff"}, where, null, null, null, null, null); DBresult.getString(0); This works fine in all cases except for when the string looks like a float number, for example "221.123123123". After saving it to the database I can extract the database to my computer and look inside it with a DB-viewer, and the saved number is correct. However, when using cursor.getString() the string "221.123" is returned. I cant for the life of me understand how I can prevent this. I guess I could do a cursor.getDouble() on every single string to see if this gives a better result, but that feels sooo ugly and inefficient. Any suggestions? Styling individual radio buttons in drupal form

I have this group of radio buttons in which each of individual button has of its own position set through style attribute. I would like to how can I archive the same by using drupal form api. I found how to style as whole but, not as individual control within group. However, I do not know how to group all my radio buttons together in this regard. If I use same array key for all of them, they would collide each other. Rtti data manipulation and consistency in Delphi 2010

Has anyone an idea, how I can make TValue using a reference to the original data? In my serialization project, I use (as suggested in XML-Serialization) a generic serializer which stores TValues in an internal tree-structure (similar to the MemberMap in the example). This member-tree should also be used to create a dynamic setup form and manipulate the data. My idea was to define a property for the Data: TDataModel <T> = class {...} private FData : TValue; function GetData : T; procedure SetData (Value : T); public property Data : T read GetData write SetData; end; The implementation of the GetData, SetData Methods: procedure TDataModel <T>.SetData (Value : T); begin FData := TValue.From <T> (Value); end; procedure TDataModel <T>.GetData : T; begin Result := FData.AsType <T>; end; Unfortunately, the TValue.From method always makes a copy of the original data. So whenever the application makes changes to the data, the DataModel is not updated and vice versa if I change my DataModel in a dynamic form, the original data is not affected. Sure I could always use the Data property before and after changing anything, but as I use lot of Rtti inside my DataModel, I do not realy want to do this anytime. Perhaps someone has a better suggestion?

Setting up relations/mappings for a SQLAlchemy many-to-many database

I'm new to SQLAlchemy and relational databases, and I'm trying to set up a model for an annotated lexicon. I want to support an arbitrary number of key-value annotations for the words which can be added or removed at runtime. Since there will be a lot of repetition in the names of the keys, I don't want to use this solution directly, although the code is similar. My design has word objects and property objects. The words and properties are stored in separate tables with a property_values table that links the two. MAPI find the contacts and calendar folder

In my outlook I have 1 exchange connection and 2 Personal Folders. IIS URL Rewrite rule - Default document for subdirectories

I would like create URL rewrite rule that will set default document for my virtual folders. eg. someting like this www.domain.com/en/ -> www.domain.com/en/index.aspx www.domain.com/hr/ -> www.domain.com/hr/index.aspx www.domain.com/de/ -> www.domain.com/de/index.aspx directories en, hr, de doesn't really exists on web server they are just markers for languange used in site used by home grown http module that will rewrite path with query params. Quick solution was define rule for every single lang, something like this : <rewrite> <rewriteMaps> <rewriteMap name="Langs"> <add key="/en" value="/en/index.aspx" /> <add key="/hr" value="/hr/index.aspx" /> <add key="/de" value="/de/index.aspx" /> </rewriteMap> </rewriteMaps> <rules> But I would really like solution that would not require changes in web.config and adding rewrite rule for every languange used on particular site. If i preform a lookup on ctx for the specific binding I am adding I get an error. <cfset val = ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/adminemail") > No such binding: adminemail Preforming a listBindings returns an empty jrun.naming.JRunNamingEnumeration. <cfset val = ctx.listBindings("java:comp/env") > I only want to put a string value (probably several) into the ENC (or any JNDI directory at this point).

Parse multiple named command line parameters

I need to add the ability to a program to accept multiple named parameters when opening the program via the command line. i.e. program.exe /param1=value /param2=value and then be able to utilize these parameters as variables in the program. I have found a couple of ways to accomplish pieces of this, but can't seem to figure out how to put it all together. I have been able to pass one named parameter and recover it using the code below, and while I could duplicate it for every possible named parameter, I know that can't be the preffered way to do this. Dim inputArgument As String = "/input=" Dim inputName As String = "" For Each s As String In My.Application.CommandLineArgs If s.ToLower.StartsWith(inputArgument) Then inputName = s.Remove(0, inputArgument.Length) End If Next Alternatively, I can get multiple unnamed parameters from the command line using My.Application.CommandLineArgs But this requires that the parameters all be passed in the same order/format each time. I need to be able to pass a random subset of parameters each time. Ultimately, what I would like to be able to do, is separate each argument and value, and load it into a multidimentional array for later use. I know that I could find a way to do this by separating the string at the "=" and stripping the "/", but as I am somewhat new to this, I wanted to see if there was a "preffered" way for dealing with multiple named parameters?

Passing information safely between Wicket and Hibernate in long running conversations

We are using Wicket with Hibernate in the background. As part of out UI we have quite long running conversations spanning multiple requests before the updated information is written back to the database. To avoid getting hibernate errors with detached objects we are now using value objects to transfer info from the service layer to Wicket. However we now end up with an explosion of almost the same objects : e.g. Answer (mapped entity saved in hibernate) AnswerVO (immutable value object) AnswerModel (A mutable bean in the session domain) IModel wrapped Wicket Model and usually this gets wrapped in a CompoundPropertyModel This plumbing becomes exponentially worse when collections to other objects are involved in the objects. There has to be a better way to organize this. Can anyone share tips to make this less onerous? Maybe make the value objects mutable so we can remove the need for a seaprate backing bean in Wicket? Use the entity beans but absolutely make dead-certain they are detached from hibernate. (easier said than done)? Some other tricks or patterns?

How does one restrict xml with an XML Schema?

Hello, I want to restrict xml with a schema to a specific set. I read this tutorial http://www.w3schools.com/schema/schema_facets.asp This seems to be what I want. So, I'm using Qt to validate this xml <car>BMW</car> Here is the pertinent source code. __toString magic and type coercion

I've created a Template class for managing views and their associated data. It implements Iterator and ArrayAccess, and permits "sub-templates" for easy usage like so: <p><?php echo $template['foo']; ?></p> <?php foreach($template->post as $post): ?> <p><?php echo $post['bar']; ?></p> <?php endforeach; ?> Anyways, rather than using inline core functions, such as hash() or date(), I figured it would be useful to create a class called TemplateData, which would act as a wrapper for any data stored in the templates. This way, I can add a list of common methods for formatting, for example: echo $template['foo']->asCase('upper'); echo $template['bar']->asDate('H:i:s'); //etc.. When a value is set via $template['foo'] = 'bar'; in the controllers, the value of 'bar' is stored in it's own TemplateData object. I've used the magic __toString() so when you echo a TemplateData object, it casts to (string) and dumps it's value. However, despite the mantra controllers and views should not modify data, whenever I do something like this: $template['foo'] = 1; echo $template['foo'] + 1; //exception It dies on a Object of class TemplateData could not be converted to int; Unless I recast $template['foo'] to a string: echo ((string) $template['foo']) + 1; //outputs 2 Sort of defeats the purpose having to jump through that hoop. Are there any workarounds for this sort of behavior that exist, or should I just take this as it is, an incidental prevention of data modification in views?

boost::spirit (qi) decision between float and double

I have a parser which parses different data types from an input file. I already figured out, that spirit can decide between short and int, for example: value %= (shortIntNode | longIntNode); with shortIntNode %= (qi::short_ >> !qi::double_) [qi::_val = phoenix::bind(&CreateShortIntNode, qi::_1)]; longIntNode %= (qi::int_ >> !qi::double_) [qi::_val = phoenix::bind(&CreateLongIntNode, qi::_1)]; I used this type of rules to detect doubles as well (from the answers here and here). The parser was able to decide between int for numbers 65535 and short for numbers <= 65535. But, for float_ and double_ it does not work as expected. It just rounds these values to parse it into a float value, if there is a rule like this: value %= (floatNode | doubleFloatNode); with floatNode %= (qi::float_) [qi::_val = phoenix::bind(&CreateFloatNode, qi::_1)]; doubleFloatNode %= (qi::double_) [qi::_val = phoenix::bind(&CreateDoubleFloatNode, qi::_1)]; Do you know if there is something like an option or some other trick to decide between float_ and double_ depending on the data type range? Hashtable resizing leaks memory

I wrote a hashtable and it basically consists of these two structures: typedef struct dictEntry { void *key; void *value; struct dictEntry *next; } dictEntry; typedef struct dict { dictEntry **table; unsigned long size; unsigned long items; } dict; dict.table is a multidimensional array, which contains all the stored key/value pair, which again are a linked list. If half of the hashtable is full, I expand it by doubling the size and rehashing it: dict *_dictRehash(dict *d) { int i; dict *_d; dictEntry *dit; _d = dictCreate(d->size * 2); for (i = 0; i < d->size; i++) { for (dit = d->table[i]; dit != NULL; dit = dit->next) { _dictAddRaw(_d, dit); } } /* FIXME memory leak because the old dict can never be freed */ free(d); // seg fault return _d; } The function above uses the pointers from the old hash table and stores it in the newly created one. When freeing the old dict d a Segmentation Fault occurs. How am I able to free the old hashtable struct without having to allocate the memory for the key/value pairs again?
