  I am trying to send a variable from a Javascript to a php script but what gets sent is just the first string and the rest is discarded.Dont know what i would be doing wrong. Dont know what i may be missing or if there is a better way of passin data from a Javascript to PHP,i will appreciate.

  Hopefully this is a pretty simple question! I've got the code working in jQuery to listen for a specific form on a page to be submitted and perform an alert when it is.. I.e.: The form itself doesn't have a name so I am targetting the form within a specific form ID. $("#content form").submit(function() { alert("lorem ipsum dolor?"); }); What would be the syntax for performing this in javascript alone without using jquery? For example, I have this code (below) and just am unsure of how to listen for the form to be submitted to perform an action.. var submitform = document.getElementById("content").getElementsByTagName("form"); Thanks!

• [MAC] Using a proxy for NSURLConnection

  Is there any way to get the content of a webfile (namely a .html Document) using a proxy, which is not defined in the system settings? I know that NSURLConnection is the right way to download a web file into a variable and not into a file (for which we should use NSURLDownload), but I don't find an way to use a proxy for it. Are there some inofficial APIs, Librarys or Classes or such I could use for what I want to do? I'm not that pro in Mac Programming, so im searching for something more or less simple to do for me plz.   I'm using Timer-X's timerDelayCall function in order to have a repeating rotator on my page, which starts automatically as the page loads: jQuery.timerDelayCall({ interval: 2000, repeat: true, callback: function(timer) { ... (my rotator logic here) } } }); The problem is that I'm trying to make a function that includes stopping that timer: function signUp() { ... (timer stop code here) } The documentation stats that timer.stop() does that, but however I format it, I get errors about it not being declared. I have tried every variation I can think of, such as: timer.stop(); jQuery.timer.stop(); $(document).timer.stop(); jQuery.timerDelayCall({ callback: function(timer) { timer.stop() } }); I'm sure I'm missing something simple - I come from a PHP background yet I'm new to javascript - but can't see what it is exactly. Help is much appreciated!

• MS SQL Server Dates Excel

  I have data this is linked from SQL Server into an excel document. The column format on the SQL Server is datetime2. When I get the data via an ODBC connection it comes across as a string? I tried using CAST(column AS DATE ) but that didn't work. I tried reformatting via CONVERT(VARCHAR(10), column, 103) as well but that didn't work. I tried retrieving the data via Microsoft query as well but that didn't work. At the moment I am using VBA code like: While (ActiveCell.Value <> "") ActiveCell.Value = DATEVALUE(ActiveCell.Value) ActiveCell.Offset(1,0).Activate Wend and looping through each column that needs this treatment but 100000 rows in multiple columns takes forever to loop through. Are there any alternatives?

  Hi all, This is my first post, and first please forgive me for my poor english. I have a problem I really can't fix: I have a <table> of questions, the first question is visible (class:visible), the others are hidden (class:hidden) $(document).ready(function(){ $('.hidden').hide(); When people click on the first question, I want the second question to appear (and the first question to turn to grey, using a 'done' class). $('.visible:not(.done)').click(function(){ $(this).addClass('done'); $('.hidden:first').toggle(500).removeClass('hidden').addClass('visible'); }) The first question is now done (class:done) and the 2nd question should be the only one to react to a click(), and so on... But it doesn't work: the other <tr> appear only when I click on the 1st <tr>. Can someone give me a hand on this problem ? Thank you.

• Remove anchor from URL in C#

  I'm trying to pull in an src value from an XML document, and in one that I'm testing it with, the src is: <content src="content/Orwell - 1984 - 0451524934_split_2.html#calibre_chapter_2"/> That creates a problem when trying to open the file. I'm not sure what that #(stuff) suffix is called, so I had no luck searching for an answer. I'd just like a simple way to remove it if possible. I suppose I could write a function to search for a # and remove anything after, but that would break if the filename contained a # symbol (or can a file even have that symbol?) Thanks!

  Is it possible to use a flash document embedded in HTML as a link? I tried just wrapping the object element with an a like this: <a href="http://whatever.com"> <object ...> <embed ... /> </object> </a> In Internet Explorer, that made it show the location in the status bar like a link, but it doesn't do anything. I just have the .swf file, so I can't add a click handler in ActionScript.

My Questions are: if server install 2 profiles that have different config for the same thing, what will happen? "Moile device management protocol" documents also mention about "Managed App Configuration and Feedback". So what is different between the previous config file with this function of server. Is "Managed App Configuration and Feedback" just for specific app, not for the whole device as profile files. which fields can be config via "Managed App Configuration and Feedback" of MDM?   I'm loading an external .php file using: <script type="text/javascript" src="myfile.js.php"></script> Within the external myfile.js.php file, I'm using: <?php header('content-type: text/javascript'); $message = "Test message"; ?> document.write('<?php echo $message; ?>'); Everything works fine until I change the name of myfile.js.php to just myfile.php Why does it stop working if I remove the .js part from the file name? I'm serving the file as text/javascript, plus shouldn't the .js part be ignored since .php is the actual file extension? Does anyone know why? Thanks!

This works, however when I do "View Page Source" in chrome, the list contains the original list and not the newly added items. I have looked at a few other threads on Stack that suggest its not possible as a body element defined in css, but in this scenario the BG image is being loaded in by jQuery. How would I go about adding a fade in to this code to bring the image in with a nice fadein?
