    Hi, I have the following LINQ query: List<string> Types = (List<string>) Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727") Where(x => System.IO.Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(x).Contains("Microsoft")) .ToList<string>(); How could I modify this so it can only get the values stored in a collection, without writing another LINQ query (which I assume will impact performance?)?     I am trying to secure my site so I don't have sql injections and xss scripting. For integers values(like users putting in prices), i just: is_numeric(). --How should I use htmlspecialchars? Should I use it only when echoing and displaying user data? Or should I also use this too when inputting data to a dbc? --When should I use strip_tags() or htmlspecialchars?     Im trying to create a xml file from a POJO , in which i have a property that stores urls, I have been using the below method to replace all & in the url String to make the xml conform to standards and pass it as an html char entity but the string does not change. public static String forHrefAmpersand(String aURL){ return aURL.replaceAll("&", "&"); } the value might be www.abc.com/controller?a=1&next=showResults I have even tried changing the above method to use "/" as i read replaceAll uses regular expression but replaceAll is not working as exprected, Can anyone tell me what is the mistake im doing ? In fact, when ViewData["KeyForMyObject"] contains a string, int, or bool, myAction is able to retrieve the value. But, when it comes to objects, such as List, and dictionary, nothing happens. When I debug to check the local values, I see null for Type myObject in the MyMethod. For example, CREATE TABLE, DELETE, INSERT, etc. Multiple statements separated by ;s are not supported. I have to load in a batch of records, 1000 and counting. How do I insert these efficiently? And what's the easiest way to deliver these SQLs with your apk? I mention, there is already a system database and I will run this on the onUpdate event. How does ThreadLocal usage compare to named data slots? Does the ThreadLocal value get inherited by children threads? Is the idea that ThreadLocal is a simplified version of using named data slots? An example of some stuff using named data slots follows.
