I am looking for a way to comment the current selection in an xml file in eclipse (STS 2.3.2).
ctrl+/ gets seems to get ignored when editing XML.
Google left me on my own.
I'm building a program, and I'm quite confident using Objective-C, but I don't know how to programmatically download a file from the web and copy it on the hard drive.
I started with :
NSString url = @"http://spiritofpolo.com/images/logo.png";
NSData* data = [NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL URLWithString:url]];
But then I don't know what to do with the data... that sucks, no ;)
Can somebody help?
Hi all!
(Objective C)
Just using simple AudioServicesPlaySystemSoundID and its counterparts, but I can't find in the documentation if there is already a way to find the length of an audio file.
I know there is AudioServicesGetPropertyInfo, but that seems to return a byte-buffer - do audio files embed their length in themselves and I can just extract it with this?
Or is there perhaps a formula based on bit-rate * fileSize to convert to length-of-time?

Is there a way to pass data from a View to a Controller so that I can get the data and create a .xls file on the fly?
Any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I have to read a file from server side . Obtained its contents stored it in a list and sent it to template
Now, My question is how to access this list so as to display the contents of files line by line .
I am using ajax and jquery to obtain the data on client side
def showfiledata(request):
f = open("/home/tazim/webexample/test.txt")
list = f.readlines()
return_dict = {'list':list}
json = simplejson.dumps(list)
return HttpResponse(json,mimetype="application/json")
Visual Studio has *.SLN files for 2008, and 2010.
In explorer, the icon associated with the file is based on the version somehow. I was always under the impression that the associated icon just looked at the extension, but obviously there is more going on.
I'm asking on stack overflow as a developer - for my application, but if you feel this belongs on another forum, I'm happy to move the discussion elsewhere.
Thank you!
I want to create a PDF file based on users' query result (in html table).
What is the best javascript/lib I can use for IE?
I found jsPDF but it does not support IE.
Is it possible to modify the Codec List Object in an ASF file? In particular, I would like to edit the codec name and description. I realize that this won't actually change the content of the video, but it's necessary for the video to be verified by an external tool.
Does anyone know of a tool that will allow me to do this? If not, does anyone have any suggestions about how I might go about doing it using the Windows Media Format 11 SDK?
I used to have this add-on but now I forgot what it's called. Basically it can track any website's load time, DNS seeking time, time from host to javascript execution and HTML rendering, things like that.
Got any suggestions for such an add-on for Firefox? Thanks.
I'm looking for a way in python to find out which type of file system is being used for a given path. I'm wanting to do this in a cross platform way. On linux I could just grab the output of df -T but that won't work on OSX or windows.
I have an xls file with ~60 sheets of data. I would like to move them into a database (postgres) such that each sheet's data is stored in a different table.
What is the fastest way of creating these tables? I don't care about naming or proper typing of columns. The columns could all be strings for that matter. I don't want to run 60 different csv uploads.
This file appears to be in a binary XML format. What is this format and how can it be parsed programmatically (as opposed to using the aapt dump tool in the SDK)?
This binary format is not discussed in the in the documentation here: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/manifest-intro.html
Note: I want to access this information from outside the Android environment, preferably from Java.
Hello,
I have 2 .properties files in my java project and I want to define one of them as default file to be used when the language of the operating system is different from the 2 languages already defined.
Can you tell me please what should I add to my code to make that possible?
Thank you
If I have a URL to a download, www.website.com/myfile.html
so when that link is clicked it automatically starts a download, which may be myfile.txt for example, how would I get that file into C# for reading..
Is that what Net.WebRequest.Create(url), Net.HttpWebRequest does?

Has anyone here used Microsoft Anti-Virus API to scan file uploads using any anti-virus ? What is your experience. I want to use mcafee, trend or other well known AV to be called programatically.
I have a XML file that I want to load into an unknown object type. (I say unknown object type because I am not sure what direction to go)
Once I have the data loaded I need to do some processing on certain elements that are now loaded into the new object. For sake of example, we can say that the xml file is full of elements named <car> and within the car element I need to process the <mileage> element.
Then once this is all done I need to write the file as a CSV file.
I would like to do this is the most direct way possible. (The less code the better)
I am using VS 2008 C#
With the current issues with Network Solutions sites being hacked, I'm in need of a tool (preferably freeware) that I can install into my site and it will email me the second a file change/update occurs.
Any recommendations welcome :)
This site is on a shared server hosting package.
i have a problem which is that i want to extract information about FAT(file allocation table) in C# but the restriction is i cannot use System.IO
so How i get drive types?cluster information e.t.c
I know this is simple thing, but i was not aware.
I used println in gsp file and expected to print output in console. But this is showing on page.

thanks.
I have in my url patterns,
urlpatterns += patterns('',
(r'^(?P<path>.*)$', 'django.views.static.serve',
{'document_root': '/home/tipu/Dropbox/dev/workspace/search/images'})
In my template when I do
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="{{ MEDIA_URL }}style.css" />
It serves the css just fine. But the file logo.png, that's in the same directory as style.css, doesn't show when I do this:
<img src = "{{ MEDIA_URL }}logo.png" id = "logo" />
Any idea why?
So I am writing a web application for use within my organization. The application requires that it know who the current user is. This is done by calling the Request.ServerVariables("AUTH_USER") function, which works great as long as 'Anonymous Access' is disabled (unchecked) and 'Integrated Windows Authentication' is enabled (checked) within IIS for this subweb.
Unfortunately by doing this I get an 'Access Denied' error when I hit the load method of the XML DOM.
Example code:
dim urlToXmlFile
urlToXmlFile = "http://currentwebserver/currentsubweb/nameofxml.xml"
dim xmlDom
set xmlDom = Server.CreateObject("MSXML2.DOMDocument")
xmlDom.async = false
xmlDom.load( urlToXmlFile ) ' <-- this is where I get the error!
I've looked everywhere and cannot find a solution. I should be able to load an XML file into the DOM regardless of the authentication method.
Any help would be appreciated. So far the only two solutions I can come up with are:
a) create a new subweb that JUST gets the current user name and somehow passes it back to my XML reading subweb.
b) open up security on the entire system to 'Everyone', which works but our IS department wouldn't care for that.
