  • problem in counting children category

    - by moustafa
I have this table: fourn_category (id , sub) I am using this code to count: function CountSub($id){ $root = array($id); $query = mysql_query("SELECT id FROM fourn_category WHERE sub = '$id'"); while( $row = mysql_fetch_array( $query, MYSQL_ASSOC ) ){ array_push($root,$row['id']); CountSub($row['id']); } return implode(",",$root); } It returns the category id as 1,2,3,4,5 to using it to count the sub by IN() But the problem is that it counts this: category 1 category 2 category 3 category 4 category 5 Category 1 has 1 child not 4. Why? How can I get all children's trees?

  • e2fsck extremely slow, although enough memory exists

    - by kaefert
    I've got this external USB-Disk: kaefert@blechmobil:~$ lsusb -s 2:3 Bus 002 Device 003: ID 0bc2:3320 Seagate RSS LLC As can be seen in this dmesg output, there is some problem that prevents that disk from beeing mounted: kaefert@blechmobil:~$ dmesg ... So I went and fired up my favorite partition manager - gparted, and told it to verify and repair the partition sdb1. This made gparted call e2fsck (version 1.42.4 (12-Jun-2012)) e2fsck -f -y -v /dev/sdb1 Although gparted called e2fsck with the "-v" option, sadly it doesn't show me the output of my e2fsck process (bugreport https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=467925 ) I started this whole thing on Sunday (2012-11-04_2200) evening, so about 48 hours ago, this is what htop says about it now (2012-11-06-1900): PID USER PRI NI VIRT RES SHR S CPU% MEM% TIME+ Command 3704 root 39 19 1560M 1166M 768 R 98.0 19.5 42h56:43 e2fsck -f -y -v /dev/sdb1 Now I found a few posts on the internet that discuss e2fsck running slow, for example: http://gparted-forum.surf4.info/viewtopic.php?id=13613 where they write that its a good idea to see if the disk is just that slow because maybe its damaged, and I think these outputs tell me that this is not the case in my case: kaefert@blechmobil:~$ sudo hdparm -tT /dev/sdb /dev/sdb: Timing cached reads: 3562 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1783.29 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 82 MB in 3.01 seconds = 27.26 MB/sec kaefert@blechmobil:~$ sudo hdparm /dev/sdb /dev/sdb: multcount = 0 (off) readonly = 0 (off) readahead = 256 (on) geometry = 364801/255/63, sectors = 5860533160, start = 0 However, although I can read quickly from that disk, this disk speed doesn't seem to be used by e2fsck, considering tools like gkrellm or iotop or this: kaefert@blechmobil:~$ iostat -x Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (blechmobil) 2012-11-06 _x86_64_ (2 CPU) avg-cpu: %user %nice %system %iowait %steal %idle 14,24 47,81 14,63 0,95 0,00 22,37 Device: rrqm/s wrqm/s r/s w/s rkB/s wkB/s avgrq-sz avgqu-sz await r_await w_await svctm %util sda 0,59 8,29 2,42 5,14 43,17 160,17 53,75 0,30 39,80 8,72 54,42 3,95 2,99 sdb 137,54 5,48 9,23 0,20 587,07 22,73 129,35 0,07 7,70 7,51 16,18 2,17 2,04 Now I researched a little bit on how to find out what e2fsck is doing with all that processor time, and I found the tool strace, which gives me this: kaefert@blechmobil:~$ sudo strace -p3704 lseek(4, 41026998272, SEEK_SET) = 41026998272 write(4, "\212\354K[_\361\3nl\212\245\352\255jR\303\354\312Yv\334p\253r\217\265\3567\325\257\3766"..., 4096) = 4096 lseek(4, 48404766720, SEEK_SET) = 48404766720 read(4, "\7t\260\366\346\337\304\210\33\267j\35\377'\31f\372\252\ffU\317.y\211\360\36\240c\30`\34"..., 4096) = 4096 lseek(4, 41027002368, SEEK_SET) = 41027002368 write(4, "\232]7Ws\321\352\t\1@[+5\263\334\276{\343zZx\352\21\316`1\271[\202\350R`"..., 4096) = 4096 lseek(4, 48404770816, SEEK_SET) = 48404770816 read(4, "\17\362r\230\327\25\346//\210H\v\311\3237\323K\304\306\361a\223\311\324\272?\213\tq \370\24"..., 4096) = 4096 lseek(4, 41027006464, SEEK_SET) = 41027006464 write(4, "\367yy>x\216?=\324Z\305\351\376&\25\244\210\271\22\306}\276\237\370(\214\205G\262\360\257#"..., 4096) = 4096 lseek(4, 48404774912, SEEK_SET) = 48404774912 read(4, "\365\25\0\21|T\0\21}3t_\272\373\222k\r\177\303\1\201\261\221$\261B\232\3142\21U\316"..., 4096) = 4096 ^CProcess 3704 detached around 16 of these lines every second, so 4 read and 4 write operations every second, which I don't consider to be a lot.. And finally, my question: Will this process ever finish? If those numbers from fseek (48404774912) represent bytes, that would be something like 45 gigabytes, with this beeing a 3 terrabyte disk, which would give me 134 days to go, if the speed stays constant, and e2fsck scans the disk like this completly and only once. Do you have some advice for me? I have most of the data on that disk elsewhere, but I've put a lot of hours into sorting and merging it to this disk, so I would prefer to getting this disk up and running again, without formatting it anew. I don't think that the hardware is damaged since the disk is only a few months and since I can't see any I/O errors in the dmesg output. UPDATE: I just looked at the strace output again (2012-11-06_2300), now it looks like this: lseek(4, 1419860611072, SEEK_SET) = 1419860611072 read(4, "3#\f\2447\335\0\22A\355\374\276j\204'\207|\217V|\23\245[\7VP\251\242\276\207\317:"..., 4096) = 4096 lseek(4, 43018145792, SEEK_SET) = 43018145792 write(4, "]\206\231\342Y\204-2I\362\242\344\6R\205\361\324\177\265\317C\334V\324\260\334\275t=\10F."..., 4096) = 4096 lseek(4, 1419860615168, SEEK_SET) = 1419860615168 read(4, "\262\305\314Y\367\37x\326\245\226\226\320N\333$s\34\204\311\222\7\315\236\336\300TK\337\264\236\211n"..., 4096) = 4096 lseek(4, 43018149888, SEEK_SET) = 43018149888 write(4, "\271\224m\311\224\25!I\376\16;\377\0\223H\25Yd\201Y\342\r\203\271\24eG<\202{\373V"..., 4096) = 4096 lseek(4, 1419860619264, SEEK_SET) = 1419860619264 read(4, ";d\360\177\n\346\253\210\222|\250\352T\335M\33\260\320\261\7g\222P\344H?t\240\20\2548\310"..., 4096) = 4096 lseek(4, 43018153984, SEEK_SET) = 43018153984 write(4, "\360\252j\317\310\251G\227\335{\214`\341\267\31Y\202\360\v\374\307oq\3063\217Z\223\313\36D\211"..., 4096) = 4096 So the numbers in the lseek lines before the reads, like 1419860619264 are already a lot bigger, standing for 1.29 terabytes if those numbers are bytes, so it doesn't seem to be a linear progress on a big scale, maybe there are only some areas that need work, that have big gaps in between them. UPDATE2: Okey, big disappointment, the numbers are back to very small again (2012-11-07_0720) lseek(4, 52174548992, SEEK_SET) = 52174548992 read(4, "\374\312\22\\\325\215\213\23\0357U\222\246\370v^f(\312|f\212\362\343\375\373\342\4\204mU6"..., 4096) = 4096 lseek(4, 46603526144, SEEK_SET) = 46603526144 write(4, "\370\261\223\227\23?\4\4\217\264\320_Am\246CQ\313^\203U\253\274\204\277\2564n\227\177\267\343"..., 4096) = 4096 so either e2fsck goes over the data multiple times, or it just hops back and forth multiple times. Or my assumption that those numbers are bytes is wrong. UPDATE3: Since it's mentioned here http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=282125&page=2 that you can testisk while e2fsck is running, i tried that, though not with a lot of success. When asking testdisk to display the data of my partition, this is what I get: TestDisk 6.13, Data Recovery Utility, November 2011 Christophe GRENIER <[email protected]> http://www.cgsecurity.org 1 P Linux 0 4 5 45600 40 8 732566272 Can't open filesystem. • Insert multiple records from a XML string differing on one parameter in SQL SERVER 2008

    - by Rohit
Below in a query which inserts records to SimpleDictationProfileMapping table after reading it from a XML string. Now this query inserts a single record in which DictationCaptureProfileID is @dictationCaptureProfileId . Now i want to insert multiple rows in which @dictationCaptureProfileId is different and other 2 values are same. What i want to achieve by this is in case parent changes all child values should also change. INSERT INTO SimpleDictationProfileMapping ( DictationCaptureProfileID, DictationProfileMappingAttributeID, DictationProfileMappingAttributeValue ) SELECT @dictationCaptureProfileId, row.value('@attrId','varchar(max)'), row.value('@value', 'varchar(max)') FROM @simpleDictationCaptureProfileMappings.nodes('/simpleMappingAtribute/attribute') AS d ( row ) ; I want INSERT INTO SimpleDictationProfileMapping ( DictationCaptureProfileID OR (SELECT DictationCaptureProfileID FROM DictationCaptureProfile WHERE SystemDictationCaptureProfileID = @systemDictationCaptureProfileID), DictationProfileMappingAttributeID, DictationProfileMappingAttributeValue ) SELECT @dictationCaptureProfileId , row.value('@attrId','varchar(max)'), row.value('@value', 'varchar(max)') FROM @simpleDictationCaptureProfileMappings.nodes ('/simpleMappingAtribute/attribute') AS d ( row ) ; Please tell how to achieve this.

  • Return database messages on successful SQL execution when using ADO

    - by peacedog
I'm working on a legacy VB6 app here at work, and it has been a long time since I've looked at VB6 or ADO. One thing the app does is to executes SQL Tasks and then to output the success/failure into an XML file. If there is an error it inserts the text the task node. What I have been asked to do is try and do the same with the other mundane messages that result from succesfully executed tasks, like (323 row(s) affected). There is no command object being used, it's just an ADODB.Connection object. Here is the gist of the code: Dim sqlStatement As String Set sqlStatement = /* sql for task */ Dim sqlConn As ADODB.Connection Set sqlConn = /* connection magic */ sqlConn.Execute sqlStatement, , adExecuteNoRecords What is the best way for me to capture the non-error messages so I can output them? Or is it even possible?

  • Using fft2 with reshaping for an RGB filter

    - by Mahmoud Aladdin
I want to apply a filter on an image, for example, blurring filter [[1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0], [1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0], [1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0]]. Also, I'd like to use the approach that convolution in Spatial domain is equivalent to multiplication in Frequency domain. So, my algorithm will be like. Load Image. Create Filter. convert both Filter & Image to Frequency domains. multiply both. reconvert the output to Spatial Domain and that should be the required output. The following is the basic code I use, the image is loaded and displayed as cv.cvmat object. Image is a class of my creation, it has a member image which is an object of scipy.matrix and toFrequencyDomain(size = None) uses spf.fftshift(spf.fft2(self.image, size)) where spf is scipy.fftpack and dotMultiply(img) uses scipy.multiply(self.image, image) f = Image.fromMatrix([[1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0], [1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0], [1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0]]) lena = Image.fromFile("Test/images/lena.jpg") print lena.image.shape lenaf = lena.toFrequencyDomain(lena.image.shape) ff = f.toFrequencyDomain(lena.image.shape) lenafm = lenaf.dotMultiplyImage(ff) lenaff = lenafm.toTimeDomain() lena.display() lenaff.display() So, the previous code works pretty well, if I told OpenCV to load the image via GRAY_SCALE. However, if I let the image to be loaded in color ... lena.image.shape will be (512, 512, 3) .. so, it gives me an error when using scipy.fttpack.ftt2 saying "When given, Shape and Axes should be of same length". What I tried next was converted my filter to 3-D .. as [[[1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0], [1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0], [1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0]], [[1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0], [1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0], [1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0]], [[1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0], [1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0], [1/9.0, 1/9.0, 1/9.0]]] And, not knowing what the axes argument do, I added it with random numbers as (-2, -1, -1), (-1, -1, -2), .. etc. until it gave me the correct filter output shape for the dotMultiply to work. But, of course it wasn't the correct value. Things were totally worse. My final trial, was using fft2 function on each of the components 2-D matrices, and then re-making the 3-D one, using the following code. # Spiltting the 3-D matrix to three 2-D matrices. for i, row in enumerate(self.image): r.append(list()) g.append(list()) b.append(list()) for pixel in row: r[i].append(pixel[0]) g[i].append(pixel[1]) b[i].append(pixel[2]) rfft = spf.fftshift(spf.fft2(r, size)) gfft = spf.fftshift(spf.fft2(g, size)) bfft = spf.fftshift(spf.fft2(b, size)) newImage.image = sp.asarray([[[rfft[i][j], gfft[i][j], bfft[i][j]] for j in xrange(len(rfft[i]))] for i in xrange(len(rfft))] ) return newImage Any help on what I made wrong, or how can I achieve that for both GreyScale and Coloured pictures.

Because of the language issue could this be a keyboard problem, or an encoding problem?

  • Facebook API returning wrong unread thread count

    - by houbysoft
I'm trying to query the thread FQL table to get all unread messages, and also the count of unread items in the thread. This is how I query the table: SELECT thread_id,updated_time,snippet,snippet_author,unread FROM thread WHERE folder_id=0 AND unread!=0 From reading the doc to which I linked above, it seems to me that unread should include the count of unread messages in the thread. However, I just tested the above call and Facebook gives me back a value of unread=1, despite the thread in question having 4 unread items. This is how the thread looks on facebook.com (notice the (4), showing that unread should be 4): This is what the API returns to me, which is wrong (notice the "unread":1): { "data":[ { "name":"messages", "fql_result_set":[ { "thread_id":"BLAH BLAH BLAH", "updated_time":1333317140, "snippet":"BLAH BLAH BLAH", "snippet_author":BLAH, "unread":1 } ] } ] } Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

  • gethostbyname in C

    - by Matic
I don't know how to write applications in C, but I need a tiny program that does: lh = gethostbyname("localhost"); output = lh->h_name; output variable is to be printed. The above code is used in PHP MongoDB database driver to get the hostname of the computer (hostname is part of an input to generate an unique ID). I'm skeptical that this will return the hostname, so I'd like some proof. Any code examples would be most helpful. Happy day, Matic

  • How to skip all the column names in MySQL when the table has auto increment primary key?

    - by Jian Lin
A table is: mysql> desc gifts; +---------------+-------------+------+-----+---------+----------------+ | Field | Type | Null | Key | Default | Extra | +---------------+-------------+------+-----+---------+----------------+ | giftID | int(11) | NO | PRI | NULL | auto_increment | | name | varchar(80) | YES | | NULL | | | filename | varchar(80) | YES | | NULL | | | effectiveTime | datetime | YES | | NULL | | +---------------+-------------+------+-----+---------+----------------+ the following is ok: mysql> insert into gifts -> values (10, "heart", "heart_shape.jpg", now()); Query OK, 1 row affected (0.05 sec) but is there a way to not specify the "10"... and just let each one be 11, 12, 13... ? I can do it using mysql> insert into gifts (name, filename, effectiveTime) -> values ("coffee", "coffee123.jpg", now()); Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec) but the column names need to be all specified. Is there a way that they don't have to be specified and the auto increment of primary key still works? thanks.

  • Full text search for irregular rapper names with Solr

    - by Horace Loeb
I'm implementing full text search functionality on my rap website, and I'm running into some issues with rapper and song names. For example, someone might want to search for the rapper "Cam'ron" using the query "camron" (leaving out the mid-word apostrophe). Likewise, someone might search for the song "3 Peat" using the query "3peat". "The Notorious B.I.G." is a bit of a weird case: both "The Notorious BIG" and "The Notorious B.I.G." both work (I guess because the solr.StandardFilterFactory removes dots from acronyms?), but "The Notorious B.I.G" (i.e., minus the trailing dot) doesn't. Ideally all reasonable variations of these names should work. I'm guessing the answer has something to do with the solr.WordDelimiterFilterFactory, but I'm not sure. Also, I'm using Sunspot with Rails if that's relevant.

  • Table and Image in a single page of QTextDocument in Qt4

    - by liaK
Hi, I want to display a table and a image side by side. i.e Left side the image and right side the table. I want this because the image is the reference image for the data present in the table. I want that output in pdf. So I am using QTextDocument, QTextCursor and QPrinter to get the output in pdf. So how it is possible to display the image and table in QtextDocument i.e within a single page of the pdf? I am using Qt 4.5.3 and Windows Xp. Any pointers regarding this are welcome.

I need programmatically way/sample code to perform a fastest 'trans-wrap' on iPhone/iPad application I tried to set AVAssetExportSession.outputFileType property to AVFileTypeMPEG4 but it not supported and I got exception I tried to do this transform using AVAssetWriter by specifying fileType:AVFileTypeMPEG4, actually I got .mp4 output file, but it was not 'wrap-trans', the output file was  3x bigger than source, and the convert process took 128 sec for video with 60 sec duration. I need solution that will run quickly and will keep the file size  please help

  • Finding Cities within 'X' Kilometers (or Miles)

    - by Mike Curry
This may or may not be clear, leave me a comment if I am off base, or you need more information. Perhaps there is a solution out there already for what I want in PHP. I am looking for a function that will add or subtract a distance from a longitude OR latitude value. Reason: I have a database with all Latitudes and Longitudes in it and want to form a query to extract all cities within X kilometers (or miles). My query would look something like this... Select * From Cities Where (Longitude > X1 and Longitude < X2) And (Latitude > Y1 and Latitude < Y2) Where X1 = Longitude - (distance) Where X2 = Longitude + (distance) Where Y1 = Latitude - (distance) Where Y2 = Latitude + (distance) I am working in PHP, with a MySql Database. Open to any suggestions also! :)

  • Expand in linq not loading inner data collections from service.

    - by Kit
    I am seeing odd behavior with service queries! I am using MVVM pattern for a silverlight 3 app on 3.5 framework and Dataservices 1.5. The following code eager loads correctly the parent object and the child heirarchy perfectly IF and ONLY IF I am preloading the data. But I would like to fetch a different set of the parent object (and its child heirarchy) on different button clicks. What I am seeing is that on button click, only the parent object is retrieved, and the child heirarchy contains nothing. Any suggestions? Any ideas how to tackle this? Thanks all. The method: DataServiceQuery serviceQuery = (DataServiceQuery)(from m1 in dbEntities.gis_Region.Expand("gis_RegionValue/gis_Measure") where m1.RegionGuid == new Guid(regionGuid) select m1); serviceQuery.BeginExecute(GetRegionDetailAsyncResult, serviceQuery); The wired Async Result: DataServiceQuery query = (DataServiceQuery)result.AsyncState; gis_Region region = query.EndExecute(result).First();

Basically I want to get the details from FILE 1 and compare with FILE2 (master list) . Example : A1 in FILE2 was not available in FILE1 , so in output file we have “-“ for 1st three fields and rest from FILE2 . Now, we have A11 and we got the detail in FILE1. So we write details of A11 from both File 1 & 2

  • Better way to make a bash script self-tracing?

    - by Kevin Little
I have certain critical bash scripts that are invoked by code I don't control, and where I can't see their console output. I want a complete trace of what these scripts did for later analysis. To do this I want to make each script self-tracing. Here is what I am currently doing: #!/bin/bash # if last arg is not '_worker_', relaunch with stdout and stderr # redirected to my log file... if [[ "$BASH_ARGV" != "_worker_" ]]; then $0 "$@" _worker_ >>/some_log_file 2>&1 # add tee if console output wanted exit $? fi # rest of script follows... Is there a better, cleaner way to do this?

Any ideas? The Application code works perfecty with any query so its not application code error but prolly some "super cool feature" from ODP.NET. Already tried to_number, to_whatever and same error always happens.

  • How do I get a right outer join in L2E?

    - by Dan
    I have two tables that I set up through the VS Entity Data Model Diagram tool. I'm trying to do a right outer join and it doesn't return results from the 2nd table. I have set up a 0..1 to MANY relationship from the diagram tool. When I run a Linq-To-Entities query, it still defaults to an INNER JOIN. From my understanding of entities, if I set up the relationship using VS, when I join the tables, it should automagically figure out the join syntax based on the relationship I supply. It doesn't seem to be doing that. I am using EF v1 (not Linq-to-Sql). Query I'm running: from s in SomeTable join t in SomeOtherTable on s.ID equals t.ID select new { s.MyFieldName, t.MyOtherFieldName }

  • Is it valid for Hibernate list() to return duplicates?

    - by skaffman
Is anyone aware of the validity of Hibernate's Criteria.list() and Query.list() methods returning multiple occurrences of the same entity? Occasionally I find when using the Criteria API, that changing the default fetch strategy in my class mapping definition (from "select" to "join") can sometimes affect how many references to the same entity can appear in the resulting output of list(), and I'm unsure whether to treat this as a bug or not. The javadoc does not define it, it simply says "The list of matched query results." (thanks guys). If this is expected and normal behaviour, then I can de-dup the list myself, that's not a problem, but if it's a bug, then I would prefer to avoid it, rather than de-dup the results and try to ignore it. Anyone got any experience of this?

  • Management Studio default file save location

    - by jayrdub
Open a new query window. Write some SQL. Save the script, the Save File As dialog box opens - but always to the same default location in the Profiles directory. Is there any way to set my default file location? ...Like I used to do with apps from the 1980s? Under Tools|Options a default location can be specified for query results. I need the same thing for new queries (the text editor). Tried changing locations in the Registry but SSMS just overwrote my changes. Any suggestions? (I saw this unanswered question at http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/30098335/management-studio-default.aspx and I had same exact question so I just reposted it here)

  • MySQL Dynamicly determine the tabel to use with inner join

    - by user366990
He guys, I'm stuck with a problem and I hope someone can help me out. I have a date. For example 2009-10-1. This date is used to check in which season I am working. This could be summer or winter. If whe are in the summer the table to use for my inner join whould be 'summer09_rooms'. If winter 'winter09_rooms'. So I basicly whant to do a CASE WHEN in my INNER JOIN. How to accomplish this. The query would look like this: SELECT name, arrival_date, departure_date FROM holliday a INNER JOIN ( CASE when arrival_date BETWEEN 2009-10-1 AND 2009-4-1 THEN summer09_rooms b ELSE winter09_rooms b END ) ON a.dossier=b.dossier Of course this query isn't working but now I hope you'l see what I want to accomplish. Kind regards, Digital Human
