• IE showing image (png) larger than actual size. Firefox displays it correctly.

  I have png images showing larger than their real dimensions in IE8. the img tag doesn't have width & height attributes. The images look fine in Firefox. Is this an issue with IE?

  My development PC has windows installed. And I've experienced weird php behaviour: <?php file_put_contents('c:/q', microtime(1) . "\r\n", FILE_APPEND); sleep(10); When I run this script in browser simultaneously in two different tabs I get such results 1294713622.125 1294713632.2188 which obviously is not what I expected, although in CLI everything is fine. So the question: what can block execution? (session.auto_start is Off)

• Copy and paste RESULTS of a file search

  In order for me to get the results of a file search in a readable format, I use the following command line in a command prompt: dir *.* /s > myResultList.txt I then open that list in Excel, use fixed width format to get rid of all the stuff I don't want and then I have my list. Seems like a lot to do for something so simple. Does anyone out there have any recommendations for something that would work better than this?

• JQuery Slideout only works on one side of the page?!

  I've been working on a little slideout code and it's just been impossible. It works perfectly sliding out from the right of the page but when I reverse everything and have it slide from the left, not a chance! The exact issue is that it slides out farther than the width of it's container. Example at http://demindu.com/sandbox/slideout/. I'd certainly appreciate any tips in the right direction.

This feature is available in all browsers I tested, but doesn't exist for the forms in my own projects. How can I approach that effect?
