  • Cancel the calculation if input-mismatch was found

    - by Lert Pianapitham
Hallo everybody, i have programmed a sub procedure, that will be called in the main procedure (called by event of mainForm), to valid the inputs before the main calculation. now i'm searching for a method, how can i cancel the calculation and refocus the mainForm if some inputs mismatch. i think, it's unnecessary to use the Try-Catch statment to trap the error from calculation because i know what is its source and it should be prevented due to the code preformance. Has someone an idea to due with this? best regards Lert Pianapitham

  • Language parsers

    - by prosseek
I need to parse C#, Ruby and Python source code to generate some reports. I need to get a list of method names inside a class. What parsers for those languages are provided? For C#, I found http://csparser.codeplex.com/Wikipage , but for the others, I found a bunch of parsers using those languages, but not the language parsers of them.

  • Where is the ActionPack Gemspec file in rails 2.3.5?

    - by chief
https://rails.lighthouseapp.com/projects/8994/tickets/3685-actionpack-235-gem-declares-incompatibility-with-rack-110 I am attempting to get thin running with rails 2.3.5 and it seems I need to modify some of the source code. Unfortunately I can't seem to locate this actionpack-2.3.5.gemspec. It is in the directory for rails 3 but for 2.3.5 I don't see it.

  • How to get four following text inputs after each checkbox?

    - by Richard Knop
I am traversing checkboxes like this: $('.day').each(function() { // here I need to get the following 4 text inputs in the HTML // and set some attributes on them }); After every checkbox there are four text input fields (there are also some div, span tags for CSS around them). So inside the loop above I need to get four text input fields that follow the checkbox in the HTML source so I can set some attributes on them. How would I go about that?

  • Best practice for an application with GUI

    - by chronosphenomena
Hi, I'm about to start an application which will have both console and GUI interfaces. What I wan't to achieve is COMPLETE decoupling of application logic from interface. In future, I may also add web interface, and I don't want to change anything in my application. Is there a good example (perhaps some open source project) where I can learn how this should be done properly.... also I'd appreciate advices/guidelines on how to do this. Thanks

  • C# Web Browser with click and highlight

    - by Tim Almond
Before I go off and code this, I thought I'd see if anyone here knows of any open source (or paid for) equivalents already built. I'm looking for a browser control where users can preview a web page and then highlight elements of it and once highlighted, I can get the div or id of the element selected. Has anyone seen such a thing?

  • Install python 2.6 in CentOS

    - by tehryan
I have a shell that runs CentOS For a project I'm doing I need python 2.5+ but centOS is pretty dependent on 2.4 From what I've read a number of things will break if you upgrade to 2.5 I wan't to install 2.5 separately from 2.4 but I'm not sure how to do it. So far I've downloaded the source tarball, untarred it and did a ./configure --prefix=/opt which is where I want it to end up. can I now just make, make install ? or is there more?

  • Joining the same model twice in a clean way, but making the code reusable

    - by Shako
I have a model Painting which has a Paintingtitle in each language and a Paintingdescription in each language: class Painting < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :paintingtitles, :dependent => :destroy has_many :paintingdescriptions, :dependent => :destroy end class Paintingtitle < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :painting belongs_to :language end class Paintingdescription < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :painting belongs_to :language end class Language < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :paintingtitles, :dependent => :nullify has_many :paintingdescriptions, :dependent => :nullify has_many :paintings, :through => :paintingtitles end As you might notice, I reference the Language model from my Painting model via both the Paintingtitle model and Paintingdescription model. This works for me when getting a list of paintings with their title and description in a specific language: cond = {"paintingdescription_languages.code" => language_code, "paintingtitle_languages.code" => language_code} cond['paintings.publish'] = 1 unless admin paginate( :all, :select => ["paintings.id, paintings.publish, paintings.photo_file_name, paintingtitles.title, paintingdescriptions.description"], :joins => " INNER JOIN paintingdescriptions ON (paintings.id = paintingdescriptions.painting_id) INNER JOIN paintingtitles ON (paintings.id = paintingtitles.painting_id) INNER JOIN languages paintingdescription_languages ON (paintingdescription_languages.id = paintingdescriptions.language_id) INNER JOIN languages paintingtitle_languages ON (paintingtitle_languages.id = paintingtitles.language_id) ", :conditions => cond, :page => page, :per_page => APP_CONFIG['per_page'], :order => "id DESC" ) Now I wonder if this is a correct way of doing this. I need to fetch paintings with their title and description in different functions, but I don't want to specify this long join statement each time. Is there a cleaner way, for instance making use of the has_many through? e.g. has_many :paintingdescription_languages, :through => :paintingdescriptions, :source => :language has_many :paintingtitle_languages, :through => :paintingtitles, :source => :language But if I implement above 2 lines together with the following ones, then only paintingtitles are filtered by language, and not the paintingdescriptions: cond = {"languages.code" => language_code} cond['paintings.publish'] = 1 unless admin paginate( :all, :select => ["paintings.id, paintings.publish, paintings.photo_file_name, paintingtitles.title, paintingdescriptions.description"], :joins => [:paintingdescription_languages, :paintingtitle_languages], :conditions => cond, :page => page, :per_page => APP_CONFIG['per_page'], :order => "id DESC" )

  • C# compare algorithms

  • (iphone) how can I tell I need a 3.0 + iOS installed device when looking at apple doc?

    - by Eugene
Hi, I've seen iphone related open source library which says something like, "You need 4.0+ iOS build environment but the code will run on 3.0+ iOS device." I wonder how those two requirements can differ and how can I tell a minimum 'device' iOS version which a certain api would need. For instance I want to use UIGestureRecognizer but the apple doc says it's 3.2+, but I want my app run on 3.12+. Is there a difference between build os requirement and device os requirement to run an app? Thank you

  • VSS causing crash in VS 2008

    - by David
We use Visual Studio 2008, with visual source safe v8. Lately, I seem to be getting a lot more crashes than usual, mainly when viewing history (comparing, etc.). I have taken a screencapture of the series of dialog boxes that will always appear, leading up to the crash: http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/1360/msvscrash.jpg Does anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks.

  • CVS Diff to output only modified files?

    - by Somebody still uses you MS-DOS
Is it possible? Run a cvs diff in terminal at the project root that outputs only modified files (like local files that aren't in source control and local modified files). I'm running cvs diff --brief but I still have too many results since my project is large, and with a lot of subdirectories - it shows the whole hierarchy and I just want to know which files are different from HEAD revision. I'm using Linux.
