  • Launch an SWF full screen

    I have a swf file (a flash game). I want to run some script to open it in full-screen mode. I'm not attached to any browser, but I do run Linux, so a bash, or generic answer is what I'm looking for. I'm also open to building a lite browser application if need-be.

    Hello, Im writing application in c++ and after try to run built (in debug mode) application on another machine I had error (The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorect). I realised that there are missed DLLs from windows\WinSxS\ But I dont really know which folder contains what I really need and secondly I dont know how to check my compiler version in visual studio.     Whe I call: select * from Database.dbo.Table where NAME = 'cat' It takes: 200 ms And when I change database to Database in Management Studio and call it without fully qualified name it's much faster: select * from Table where NAME = 'cat' It takes: 17 ms Is there any way to make fully qualified queries faster without changing database?

  • iPhone Application failing to come back from sigkill

    I have no idea if this is intended behaviour, but whenever the application exits (say, the user is double-clicking the home button and pressing on the red dash on the icon) I get the dreaded SIGKILL. Now, when I try to launch the app again all I get is the old screen state and a frozen (I presume ?) program. It could be because of clunky memory management, but NSZombieEnabled doesn't seem to agree. Any thoughts ?

    I'm late to the boat and have only just now started using Core Data in OS X / Cocoa - it's incredible and is really changing the way I look at things. Is there an equivalent technology in C# or the modern Windows frameworks? i.e. having managed data types where you get saving, data management, deleting, searching all for free? Also wondering if there's anything like this on Linux.

    For what x is The expression x IS NOT NULL is not equal to NOT(x IS NULL), as is the case in 2VL (quote from this answer, which is quoting Fabian Pascal Practical Issues in Database Management - A Reference for the Thinking Practitioner -- near the end of that answer) My guess is when x IS NULL is NULL, but I cannot guess when that would be (i.e. I haven't checked the SQL standard).

  • Jump to 'git add -i' patch command (5) directly

    How can I get "git add -i" to start up in patch mode directly without having to type "5" + Enter? I know about "git add -p", but it's not the same as it doesn't show me a list of files to select from first. This is very annoying because I'd like to jump between "git add -i" and "git commit" very quickly to turn my dirty tree into some nice looking commits.

I'm currently stuck on the basics of basics: How to install and configure sql server How to connect to it I installed Sql Server through Web Platform Installer, and have Visual Studio 2008 installed. Still, I can't understand how to connect to my server: I see that the SQL service itself (SQLEXPRESS) is running in both in services.msc and Sql Server Configuration Manager I try to connect to it via the Management Studio, but I don't understand what to do. Where do I begin?

When i publish the application to IIS, lognet is not logging anything.     Using SQL ManagementStudio 2008 I created SQL 3.5 Compact DB (TestCompact.sdf) and I have created subscription to existing Publication. Using SQL Management Studio it is working. I have transfered TestCompact.sdf to Windows Mobile 5 emulator device and with QueryAnalyzer for Mobile I could query existing tables in TestCompact.sdf. I don't know how to start replication synchronization on that mobile device. Do I need to write some C# code or it is possible do it more simple?

  • Navigating to rootViewController of non-visible UINavigationController CRASH

    First off I'n not sure if this is exactly the issue... but it appears to be central to the problem. There are vast gaps in what I know and this may be something very obvious. I have a split view controller with various Master and Detail Views. From one 'menu' branch I want to return to the rootView of both the Master & Detail Navigation Controllers when the user taps a 'Done' button. Initially I had the button positioned on the navigation bar of the master view. This is the code I was using: - (IBAction)doneClicked:(id)sender { UINavigationController *detailNav = [self.splitViewController.viewControllers objectAtIndex:1]; NSArray *allDetailViewControllers = detailNav.viewControllers; HomePage *destinationDetailVC = [allDetailViewControllers objectAtIndex:0]; destinationDetailVC.splitViewBarButtonItem = self.splitViewButton; [detailNav popToRootViewControllerAnimated:NO]; [self.navigationController popToRootViewControllerAnimated:NO]; } That works fine but if the device is in portrait mode it means the user has to open the menus to access the button. So I decided to put the 'Done' button onto the detail view NavBar instead. Using a delegate declared in the detailVC and adopted by the masterVC I am now using this method: - (void)theUserClickedDoneInTheDetailView:(DetailVC *)controller withButton:(UIBarButtonItem *)splitViewButton { UINavigationController *detailNav = [self.splitViewController.viewControllers objectAtIndex:1]; NSArray *allDetailViewControllers = detailNav.viewControllers; HomePage *destinationDetailVC = [allDetailViewControllers objectAtIndex:0]; destinationDetailVC.splitViewBarButtonItem = splitViewButton; [detailNav popToRootViewControllerAnimated: NO]; [self.navigationController popToRootViewControllerAnimated:NO]; } Both methods are in the MasterVC.m file The only difference between the two is that on is passed a UIBarButtonItem to use and the other has already had it passed when it is set in the detail view. That seems to be working because I do get a button. When the device is in Landscape mode both methods work fine. All behaviour as expected. When the device is in Portrait the first method still works fine. The second appears to work fine and the detail view is the rootView, the button for the menus is there BUT, as soon as I turn the device to landscape it crashes. The only thing I can think of is that it is because the masterView is hidden. Can anyone help...?

    Hi! The problem is: How to access x,y,z coordinates of my touchpad? Now that SHMConfig is disabled by default, I've found out that, in order to do it, I need to access a file from /dev/input/. Those files are, sadly, readable by root only. Is there any way to access the touchpad while in user-mode?
