  • Setup Project in Visual Studio 2010 Requires .NET 4.0

    When setting up a Setup Project in Visual Studio 2010 and even to I removing all the prerequistes .NET 4.0 is still required on the computer that runs the Installation. Deploying with ClickOnce works but is not an option, but at least it doesn't ask for .NET 4.0. Is there a way to create a Setup Project in Visual Studio 2010 that doesn't require .NET 4.0 on installation?   • HttpWebRequest ReadWriteTimeout ignored in .NET; works in Mono

    When writing data to a web server, my tests show HttpWebRequest.ReadWriteTimeout is ignored, contrary to the MSDN spec. For example if I set ReadWriteTimeout to 1 (=1 msec), call myRequestStream.Write() passing in a buffer that takes 10 seconds to transfer, it transfers successfully and never times out using .NET 3.5 SP1. The same test running on Mono 2.6 times out immediately as expected. What could be wrong?

    Are there any ways to get count of current unfinished tasks at Google Appengine development server? I need it for making my integration test. I found a way to get this when running it local (just in mem), as described at appengine docs. But when i'm running it as a standalone server, from maven, this doesn't work. Just because library appengine-testing conflicts with Appengine SDK classes, and i can't use those classes together, when running sdk dev server.

    I have an identity mapping like so: Id(x => x.GuidId).Column("GuidId") .GeneratedBy.GuidComb().UnsavedValue(Guid.Empty); When I retrieve an object from the database, the GuidId property of my object is Guid.Empty, not the actual Guid (the property in the class is of type System.Guid). However, all of the other properties in the object are populated just fine. The database field's data type (SQL Server 2005) is uniqueidentifier, and marked as RowGuid. The application that is connecting to the database is a VB.NET Web Site project (not a "Web Application" or "MVC Web Application" - just a regular "Web Site" project). I open the NHibernate session through a custom HttpModule.     I have two almost similar source code trees, but do not have access to the source code repository so I am stuck with release packages that contain also test reports, documentation, binaries etc. the diff command only support --exclude, but I would like to do something like diff -wbur --include='*.c,*.h' tree1 tree2 I know that this question is somewhat related, but does not really address my issue. Bonus points for ignoring change blocks that are completely in C comments :)
