    I got laptop with HD 4250, and i want to use external screen. I want same picture like in original screen of laptop to the external screen. Problem is that how i can get 1920x1080 resolution for the external screen, i dont like 1366x768 resolution in 23¨ screen. Please help. If i wont use same picture like in original screen, it says 1600x1200, but i cant apply it. I need 1920x1080 resolution. How i can get same picture like in original screen and get 1920x1080 resolution

    Some may claim that this has already been asked, but I don't see MY problem in any of those posts. And if they actually have the same problem as mine, I may not understand what they've been trying to point out, actually. I hope you understand as to why I require a direct answer to the problem I'm having. I installed Ubuntu 14.04 along my Windows using a USB stick. It is possible to access my Windows (8.1) files from the folder page. I took off the Windows sticker, so I cannot get a Windows CD or anything from the support guys. I would delete my Windows partition then, but it's also tangled in this geeky mystery. Couple of days ago I created simple ground in Photoshop and a simple character and imported them to Unity3D. Whenever I use my code above the character keeps falling from the scene. Like the character has nothing to stand on. After thinking about it it make sense because I really didn't make anything to make the player character understand that he should stand on something so I started reading about this issue and I realized that there is something called Collider2D and Rigidbody2D. Now I'm really stuck here I just don't know what to do. I applied the rigibody2d to my character picture and the Collider2D to the ground picture but whenever I play the project the gravity makes my character falls down. This is my question: How can I make the rigibody2d object realize that it shouldn't fall if there is a Collider2D object under it? So when I jump it's going to jump and the gravity going to bring it back to the ground.

  • I upgraded ubuntu to 12.10, and the internet does not work on vbox

    Last week, I upgraded my operating system to Ubuntu 12.10 from 12.04, and the internet stopped working on two virtual machines (launched with virtualbox), Windows XP and OSX Snow Leopard. OSX also stopped working completely at first, but I fixed that by switching to the 64 bit option in the vbox settings. I switching to bridged networking from NAT restored the internet to Windows, but not to OSX. Does anybody know what I could be doing wrong?

    I've been using Spotify for 18 months without a problem. I use Ubuntu 12.04. Today Spotify stopped and doesn't start anymore. I only see a quick flash of the Spotify-startup-screen and thats it. I uninstalled using Synaptic and reinstalled using Synaptic. No solution. I uninstalled using Synaptic and reinstalled by terminal. No solution. I used Backup to set the system back two days. No solution. I see no error message and I ran out of options I know of.

  • Ubuntu 12.04 Nvidia GTX 460 video card installation

    Currently testing Ubuntu 12.04 x64 for our development team. After upgrading from 11.10 I've been having video card issues. I'm using Nvidia GeForce GTX 460. When ever I try to launch Nvidia X server I get the following error message. You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run nvidia-xconfig as root), and restart the X server. I've tried running sudo nvidia-xconfig multiple times and rebooting with no success. I've also tried getting the nvidia-current driver from the x-swat repo sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install nvidia-current Followed again by a reboot did nothing for me but knock my resolution down to 800x600 Finally I've tried sudo apt-get purge xserver-xorg sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg xserver-xorg-video-all sudo reboot Does anyone have any thoughts or directions they could point me in? To the best of my understanding my video card is suppose to be supported.

But UTube and bitgravoty work fine (also flash based). 64-bit windows 7 - but I have 64-bit windows 7 on my desktop machine and everything works fine there. Good place to test is here http://live.twit.tv/ where the bitgravity feeds work fine, but ustream and justin.tv don't.

  • Invalid domains in DNS don't work on mac/*nix like systems

    At work we use domains like abc-01, which work fine on windows. Whilst developing mobile applications we already saw that this doesn't work on both iOS and android which we fixed for a few specific domains (by setting the dns up that abc-01.def.local also works in those) and was assumed to be caused by it being an invalid domain. Now however it's necessary to connect through VPN from a mac and changing all relevant domains is not an option at the moment (far too many of them and would require changing the settings of far too many applications), so I was hoping whether somebody knows a trick or setting to get this to work on mac (or even linux in general).
