I am creating some JSON on the fly, serializing it and saving it to the DB.
To run it, i create a script element, and load it that way.
Is there a way to load the script source to a textarea?
I am creating a secure web based API that uses HTTPS however if I allow the users to configure it (include sending password) using a query string will this also be secure or should I force it to be done via a POST?
I wonder if there is a supported way to access the SharePoint 2010 SQL Server through an API?
I'm not talking about modifying any SharePoint Database directly (I know that that is still unsupported), but I'd like to store some data that my application needs, and instead of asking the user to enter a Connection String, I'd prefer to create my own database on the SQL Server that SharePoint uses.
I think I could use the new Service Application stuff, but that seems a bit overkill?
In my Django app, I just ran
$ python manage.py sqlall
and I see a lot of SQL statements that look like this, when describing FK relationships:
ALTER TABLE `app1_model1` ADD CONSTRAINT model2_id_refs_id_728de91f FOREIGN KEY (`model2_id`) REFERENCES `app1_model2` (`id`);
Where does "7218de91f" come from? I would like to know because I'd like to manually write SQL statements to accompany models changes in the app so that my db's can be kept up to date.
I have an app that creates a new data entry in a sqlite db with several columns. I would like to have a simple share button on the final activity so they can share the results (or even a simple text field) with apps that accept it (email, mms, twitter, etc..).
I did some reading on ContentProviders but the more I read, the more I'm thinking i'm heading down the wrong path. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Experts,
I am having an issue with importing a large(60MB) CSV file in MYSQL DB.
The problem arises when an address field has multiple comma seperated values e.g. home no, street no, town etc.
I tried to use BigDump for it but, the problem did not solved because of a single field containing multiple comma separated values.
Any idea, suggestion or solution from experts how to handle it?
Please reply, because I am sick of it.
Thanks

A client has trouble logging into our webpart (SP 2007). Apparently, his internet connection is via a proxy server. He has no problem logging in to our main website. Authentication from both the webpart and the website is through the same API.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
I have a file format plugin and everytime I attempt to write to the file in DoWriteStart, the callouts fail.
The Photoshop API is using the windows WriteFile callout which is returning a 0 value. when an attempt to write to the file is made

Net::HTTP.get_print URI.parse(URI.encode('https://graph.facebook.com/me/likes?access_token=mytoken', '|'))
(My Token is my actual token in code)
I get a EOFError: end of file reached error
If I visit the page with my browswer it loads up a JSON page. Any idea what could be causing the error? It was working a few days ago. Can't see any changes to facebook api.

I would like to create a copy of a database with approximately 40 InnoDB tables and around 1.5GB of data with mysqldump and MySQL 5.1.
What are the best parameters (ie: --single-transaction) that will result in the quickest dump and load of the data?
As well, when loading the data into the second DB, is it quicker to:
1) pipe the results directly to the second MySQL server instance and use the --compress option
or
2) load it from a text file (ie: mysql < my_sql_dump.sql)
I'm getting a strange NullPointerException, evidently thrown by the following line of code:
Iterator<Note> it = notes.iterator();
I've checked, and at the time the java.util.TreeSet notes is always non-null (with 15 elements). The TreeSet API says nothing about iterator() throwing NullPointerExceptions. What else could be going here?
My company is working on end user/developer docs using mediawiki. I'd like to take a lot of the API docs that phpdoc spit out (for specific functions/methods) and have it in wiki markup for easy transfer.
Any solutions out there for getting wiki markup or wiki output from phpDoc? I've looked around and found nothing.
I'm trying to make an app that links to Google streetview using latitude/longitude coordinates, and shows a streetview of the nearest road. This is coming from a fairly small and well covered area, so there isn't going to be any coordinates in the middle of the ocean.
Is there a published API showing the get parameters you need to link directly to streetview?
Hi-- I have a UK date in the format "06/Apr/2010 13:24" that I need to insert into a mysql db date field.
The PHP strtotime function can't handle this string-- has anyone got any ideas other than writing a custom function?
Thanks!

Hi all,
I have to make some charts on a "mobile" website, what is the best framework to do this?
I see Google Charts API, JQuery Visualize, Raphael and JS Charts... but i don't know who is the best one in Safari Mobile.
Thanks in advance to your response.
I don't know the best way to title this question but am trying to accomplish the following goal:
When a client logs into their profile, they are presented with a link to download data from an existing database in CSV format. The process works, however, I would like for this data to be 'fresh' each time they click the link so my plan was - once a user has clicked the link and downloaded the CSV file, the database table would 'erase' all of its data and start fresh (be empty) until the next set of data populated it.
My EXISTING CSV creation code:
<?php
$host = 'localhost';
$user = 'username';
$pass = 'password';
$db = 'database';
$table = 'tablename';
$file = 'export';
$link = mysql_connect($host, $user, $pass) or die("Can not connect." . mysql_error());
mysql_select_db($db) or die("Can not connect.");
$result = mysql_query("SHOW COLUMNS FROM ".$table."");
$i = 0;
if (mysql_num_rows($result) > 0) {
while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) {
$csv_output .= $row['Field'].", ";
$i++;
}
}
$csv_output .= "\n";
$values = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM ".$table."");
while ($rowr = mysql_fetch_row($values)) {
for ($j=0;$j<$i;$j++) {
$csv_output .= '"'.$rowr[$j].'",';
}
$csv_output .= "\n";
}
$filename = $file."_".date("Y-m-d",time());
header("Content-type: application/vnd.ms-excel");
header("Content-disposition: csv" . date("Y-m-d") . ".csv");
header( "Content-disposition: filename=".$filename.".csv");
print $csv_output;
exit;
?>
any ideas?
I read a lot of blogs and see people all the time talking about bad things in the java programming language; a lot of them are about annotations and generics that were added to the language in 1.5 release. What are the things in the language or the API that you don't like or would design differently?
