  • How to make a div expand vertically to wrpa the content within it?

    I have a div which wraps a number of images that are generated dynamically. I don't know how high the list of images is. My problem is the div that contains the dynamically generated images doesn't behave like it is housing any content - I want it to extend to the height of the list of images. Each image is itself wrapped in a div. This is the wrapper div: .block { padding:10px; margin-top:10px; height:auto; background-color:#f9f9f9; } This is the markup dynamically generated for (one of) the images: <div class="block"> <div style="float: left; padding: 2px 2px 2px 2px;"><IMG SRC="45.jpg" BORDER="0"/></div> .....     Hi, I have a collection of image paths, and a larger collection of Image objects (Which contain a path property). I have the code to check for any matching images, but if there are supposed to be four matching image paths (as that is how many are in the first collection), and there is less than this, how can I get the missing one without writing loops? List<string> ImagesToCheck = new List<string>() { "", "s", "ssdd" }; IEnumerable<HtmlImage> Images = manager.ActiveBrowser.Find.AllControls<HtmlImage>(); var v = from i in Images where ImagesToCheck.Any(x => x == i.Src) select i; if (v.Count() < 3) { } So I need to get the items which are not in the collection titled v, but are in ImagesToCheck.     Hello. I am developing a pretty large website for a client, and its about 90% complete. It is currently hosted on a subdomain like so: now: v2.websitehere.com when complete: www.websitehere.com My problem is that SO much of this site is linked to the temporary subdomain. The newsletter service, multiple google apis, etc. I also have multiple blogs installed that would be hard to move over. Literally, I have over 20 blogs hosted on the subdomain. I also have other PHP scripts that utilize SQL databases. So, what I am getting at is that a migration would be very difficult: time consuming, frustrating, and not something I want to do. I am looking for a a good solution...similar to Wordpress's URL rewriting. Is there something I can do with .htaccess file? Any ideas would be MUCH appreciated.

    When mapping a HasMany or HasManyToMany in fluent nhibernate, you can specify the column name to use for the list as a parameter to the AsList() method as follows: HasMany(c => c.Customers) .AsList(c => c.Column("PositionIndex")); I would prefer to be able to set this using a Fluent NHibernate convention (either a pre-existing one, or a custom one), especially since the default name appears to be "Index" which is a reserved word in MSSQL. I've tried using a custom convention implementing IHasManyConvention, but the instance parameter does not seem to contain the information about whether its a list, a bag, or a set, and also does not contain the column details for the index column. public void Apply(IOneToManyCollectionInstance instance) { } Any ideas?

    I almost have this solved but need a little push. Here's what I have: In the database I have a field called active that is a bit field (True/False) I have placed a dropdownlist on the View form like this: <%= Html.DropDownList("lstActive", new SelectList((IEnumerable)ViewData["ActiveList"])) %> In my controller, I simply have this code to generate the True/False in the dropdown: List<string> activeList = new List<string>(); activeList.Add("True"); activeList.Add("False"); ViewData["ActiveList"] = new SelectList(activeList); I want to bind to the field in the database called active and select it in the dropdown. When I view it like this I get this: So the questions are these: Obviously I am not pointing to the Value and Text property but what is that in this case? And how do I select the value that is in the database? Any help would be appreciated.

    So I've noticed some very weird behaviour from my program. Here's a simplified code snippet and then I'll explain what occurs when built and ran. -(void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; ... if (self.sampleBool) { [self performSegueWithIdentifier:@"mySegue" sender:self]; } else { // do stuff } } ... -(IBAction)myMethod:(UITapGestureRecognizer*)sender { ... [self performSegueWithIdentifier:@"mySegue" sender:self]; } The segue triggers via the UITapGestureRecognizer fine - so I know the segue is linked correctly. However, when self.sampleBool is true and performSegueWithIdentifier is called within viewDidLoad, the segue does not fire. Anyone have any guesses? Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks

The problem is when I use the query I'm currently using any events with a start day that has passed will show up lower on the list of upcoming events regardless of the fact that they are current My table (yaml): columns: title: type: string(255) notnull: true default: Untitled Event start_time: type: time end_time: type: time start_day: type: date notnull: true end_day: type: date description: type: string(500) default: This event has no description category_id: integer My query (doctrine): $results = Doctrine_Query::create() ->from("sfEventItem e, e.Category c") ->select("e.title, e.start_day, e.description, e.category_id, e.slug") ->addSelect("c.title, c.slug") ->orderBy("e.start_day, e.start_time, e.title") ->limit(5) ->execute(array(), Doctrine_Core::HYDRATE_ARRAY); Basically I'd like any events that is currently going on (so if today is in between start_day and end_day) to be at the top of the list. How would I go about doing this if it's even possible? Raw sql queries are good answers too because they're pretty easy to turn into DQL.

I have to work with an application in C++ similar to a phone book: the class Agenda with an STL list of Contacts.Regarding the contacts hierarchy,there is a base-class named Contact(an abstract one),and the derived classes Friend and Acquaintance(the types of contact). These classes have,for instance, a virtual method called getName,which returns the name of the contact. Now I must implement the Composite pattern by adding another type of contact,Company(being derived from Contact),which also contains a collection of Contacts(an STL list as well),that can be either of the "leaf" type(Friends or Acquaintances),or they can be Companies as well. Therefore,Company is the Compound type. The question is: how and where can I implement an STL find_if to search the contact with a given name(via getName function or suggest me smth else) both among the "leaf"-type Contact and inside the Company collection? In other words,how do I traverse the tree in order to find possible matches there too,using an uniform function definition? I hope I was pretty clear...

  • How to improve the speed of a loop containing a sqlalchemy query statement as conditional

    This loop checks if a record is in the sqlite database and builds a list of dictionaries for those records that are missing and then executes a multiple insert statement with the list. This works but it is very slow (at least i think it is slow) as it takes 5 minutes to loop over 3500 queries. I am a complete newbie in python, sqlite and sqlalchemy so I wonder if there is a faster way of doing this. list_dict = [] session = Session() for data in data_list: if session.query(Class_object).filter(Class_object.column_name_01 == data[2]).filter(Class_object.column_name_00 == an_id).count() == 0: list_dict.append({'column_name_00':a_id, 'column_name_01':data[2]}) conn = engine.connect() conn.execute(prices.insert(),list_dict) conn.close() session.close() edit: I moved session = Session() outside the loop.   • Is C# compiler not reporting all errors at once at each compile?

    When I am compiling this project, it show like 400+ errors in the Error List window, then I go to error sites, fix some, and the number goes to say 120+ errors, and then after fixing some more, the next compile reports like 400+ again. I can see that different files are coming in in the Error List window, so I am thinking the compiler aborts after a certain number of errors? If so, what's the reason for this? Is it not supposed to gather all the errors that are present in the project even if they are over 10K+?

Most of the examples aren't detailed enough, or do stuff via code, but I'd like to take advantage of the IDE as much as possible. Whats the difference between ItemsSource and DataContext? I'd like to bind it to just a List for starters. I don't need SQL or databases or anything fancy. Where would I declare my list? In MainWindow.xaml.cs? How do I get it to appear in that dialog?

  • Getting service unavailable message when sending messages to google xmpp using wokkel

    Hi, I made a wokkel (twisted python) bot to send and receive messages from the google xmpp service. Everything (auth, presence) etc works fine. One of the rquirements of our prject is that we need to send broadcast messages to everyone in the list. Normal messages and replies work fin, but when i snd a broadcast message, i get this service unavailable error 503 message. There are about 1000 user in my contact list. Is this some bug in the code or is it google policy to prevent rapid messaging. Also, how do other google bots cater to a large contact base ? does google provide a commercial solution for such applications ? Thanks

Was there a legitimate reason?

    I'm trying to figure out the best practice to setup hierarchy data that i take from a database into some contoller that would show the hierachy. Basicly this would look like a normal tree but when you press the items that are under "chapters" you get a link to another page. I have these tables and this is the way they are connected Period Courses Subjects Chapters I select Period from a DropDownBox and then i want all the courses in that period to line up. Under each course would be the subject and under them are the chapers, typical hierarchy. The tables are linked together with refrences to each other in linear way. I have tried to use treeview to show this, but dont understand how to do it. I though i could use <ul><il> tags and do it at runtime. Reapeter or datalist, possible ? Is it better to do this with databinding in XAML or in code ?

    Hi, Does anyone know of a very basic tag JQuery script? (Facebook like tag feature) All I want to do is when I type @ in a text box for it to search an AJAX search, it then brings back a display name i.e. "Bob Johnson" and an associated Id and stores the Id in a comma delimited list. So an example would be the following .... [TextArea] [Name 1] [Name 2] [Name 3] The thing is it also needs to remove this entry (Id) once the tag gets removed, also it needs to load into a DIV which has a scrollbar so that the list doesn't get to big. If anyone know's how/if this is possible that would be great. Thanks.

    I'm trying to write a simple/small Windows Communication Foundation service application in Visual Basic (but I am very novice in VB) and all the good examples I've found on the net are written in C#. So far I've gotten my WCF service application working but now I'm trying to add callback functionality and the program has gotten more complicated. In the C# example code I understand how everything works but I am having trouble translating into VB the portion of code that uses a delegate. Can someone please show the VB equivalent?     I continue to work on a printer for F# quoted expressions, it doesn't have to be perfect, but I'd like to see what is possible. The active patterns in Microsoft.FSharp.Quotations.Patterns and Microsoft.FSharp.Quotations.DerivedPatterns used for decomposing quoted expressions will typically provide MemberInfo instances when appropriate, these can be used to obtain the name of a property, function, etc. and their "declaring" type, such as a module or static class. The problem is, I only know how to obtain the CompiledName from these instances but I'd like the F# name. For example, > <@ List.mapi (fun i j -> i+j) [1;2;3] @> |> (function Call(_,mi,_) -> mi.DeclaringType.Name, mi.Name);; val it : string * string = ("ListModule", "MapIndexed") How can this match be rewritten to return ("List", "mapi")? I am building out an application in GAE and need to generate a report that contains the values for a user-defined subset of fields. For example, in my db model, CrashReport, I have the following fields: entry_type entry_date instance_id build_id crash_text machine_info I present a user with the above list as a checkbox group from which they select. Whichever fields the user selects, I then create a report showing all the values in the datastore, but only for the fields that they selected. For example, if from the above list, the user selects the build_id and crash_text fields, the output might look like this: build_id crash_text 0.8.2 blown gasket 0.8.2 boom! 0.8.1 crack! ... So the question is, how exactly do I only access the values for the fields which the user has defined?

I am using routes to determine localization. ie: if the url has es or fr in the route it will load either spanish or french resources. for example: www.someroute/es/checkstuff/checkstuff.aspx will load: www.someroute/checkstuff/checkstuff.aspx with the spanish resources. Is there a way to do this with some kind of pattern matching so I can avoid adding a specific route for each page in the application. While I know I could use a t4 template to generate the routes, I guess I am looking for a dynamic way to create the list
