    Hi all, it may be wrong place to ask this question, but i hope u all programmer must have the interesting naming convention of variables. i have seen many places that some variable names are very good n effective like common variable names $link $db $connect $query $stmt $sql $qry $output $result $list so please suggest me some good names for variable , bcoz all time i have to write $x, $y etc.. if i want to save something instantly on page...that are even not relevant, so please suggest me good variable names

What I'm interested in learning are method call costs, what it costs to create objects and such. My aim of learning this is to get a better understanding of how increase the performance of an application and get a better understanding of how the C# language works.   • Get all Vector2 Points Within Radius

    I am looking for a formula that will give me all of the Vector2 Points within a certain radius given the center. Essentially what I am trying to do is change the color of each pixel in a 256 x 256 texture that is within a certain radius from a specific pixel (Using the Unity3d Game Engine). Programming Language doesn't really matter, as I can probably convert it to something I can use.

    I'm trying to use the method for naming a lua package after the filename mentioned here, however _REQUIREDNAME is never defined. For example I have these two files samplePackage.lua: print("_REQUIREDNAME: ", _REQUIREDNAME) return nil; packageTest.lua: require "samplePackage" And when I run packageTest.lua it outputs > _REQUIREDNAME: nil I also couldn't find any mention of _REQUIREDNAME in the Lua 5.1 Refrence manual, so was this removed from the language, or am I missing something?

    Actually what I want - simple DB with simple User Interface. Like MS Access, but for web and it can be without Dragn n Drop, but described with markup language. For example if I want to create list report, then i need to write something like: <table query="SELECT * from mytable"></table> It needed for simple data applications. In that kind application no programming logic required. Just working with DB. Changing DB data and showing it.

I want to try to avoid code like this: if (order is Order) SetupScreenForOrder(); if (order is Quote) SetupScreenForQuote(); But maintaining two screens is not good either. If I create some common interface between a Quote and Order then how do you deal with fields like OrderNumber or QuoteDate? What's the best way to handle this?
