  • How can I setup a simple custom route using Zend Framework?

    - by Billy ONeal
I'm looking to setup a custom route which supplies implicit parameter names to a Zend_Application. Essentially, I have an incoming URL which looks like this: /StandardSystems/Dell/LatitudeE6500 I'd like that to be mapped to the StandardsystemsController, and I'd like that controller to be passed parameters "make" => "Dell" and "model" => "LatitudeE6500". How can I setup such a system using Zend_Application and Zend_Controller_Router?

  • Placement/Positioning/Alignment of UIScrollView w.r.t. length of Title NSString

    - by Shoaibi
I have a scenario where i show stuff like: ----------------------------------- titleview (UITextView) ______________ tArea (UIScrollView) ttextview (UITextView) ----------------------------------- Now here is the condition: Length of titleview's text is dynamic, varies based on user input. Because of the condition I have trouble placing tArea e.g. UIScrollView on the screen, it either appears way too below than the titleview, or overlaps it. Previously what i did: Count the number of characters in titleview.text.length and divide them by 27 (e.g. characters in one line when using boldSystemFontOfSize:20) and multiply by 10 to get the starting X of tArea e.g. UIScrollView. But that sucked. Because i had to duplicate code for rotation to landscape. What do i have now? : CGSize titlesize = [title sizeWithFont:[UIFont systemFontOfSize:20] constrainedToSize:CGSizeMake(5, 90) lineBreakMode:UILineBreakModeWordWrap]; ttitleview = [[UITextView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(5, 5, 310,titlesize.height)]; ttitleview.text = title; ttitleview.font = [UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:20]; ttitleview.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; ttitleview.editable = NO; [self.view addSubview:ttitleview]; CGSize textsize = [ttext sizeWithFont:[UIFont systemFontOfSize:20] constrainedToSize:CGSizeMake(5, 350) lineBreakMode:UILineBreakModeWordWrap]; tArea = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(5, titlesize.height, 310, 230)]; tArea.contentSize = CGSizeMake(310, textsize.height+20); tArea.pagingEnabled = FALSE; tArea.scrollEnabled = TRUE; tArea.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; [self.view addSubview:tArea]; ttextview = [[UITextView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 310, textsize.height + 20)]; ttextview.text = ttext; ttextview.font = [UIFont systemFontOfSize:20]; ttextview.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; ttextview.editable = NO; [tArea addSubview:ttextview]; But its no use. Looking for an elegant solution than this.

  • Logon script for a mixed operating system environment

    - by ricky2002
Hi Friends, I have a Active Directory controller on a Windows 2003 server. My users use Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Novell Operating system on client machines. I need to create a login script which is interoperable on all the client operating systems. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated on how to accomplish this. I was searching for a script which when runs, detects the target OS type and then run the related script to that OS. Any Ideas?

  • Initial text and paperclipped-URL for action in UIActivityViewController & UIActivityItemSource?

    - by Benjamin Kreeger
Finally been making it through Apple's (rather dismal) documentation on the new UIActivityViewController class and the UIActivityItemSource protocol, and I'm trying to send different data sets to different actions called from the activity view. To simplify things, I'm looking at two things. A Facebook posting action, which should say "Check this out!" and also attach a URL to the post (with that cute little paperclip). A Twitter posting action, which should say "Check this out, with #hashtag!" and also attach that same URL (with the same paperclip). Here's the code I've got implemented right now. - (id)activityViewController:(UIActivityViewController *)activityViewController itemForActivityType:(NSString *)activityType { if ([activityType isEqualToString:UIActivityTypePostToFacebook]) { return @"Check this out!"; } else if ([activityType isEqualToString:UIActivityTypePostToTwitter]) { return @"Check this out, with #hashtag!"; } return @""; } - (id)activityViewControllerPlaceholderItem:(UIActivityViewController *)activityViewController { return @""; } And then when I set up this activity view controller (it's in the same class), this is what I do. UIActivityViewController *activityView = [[UIActivityViewController alloc] initWithActivityItems:@[self] applicationActivities:nil]; [self presentViewController:activityView animated:YES completion:nil]; My dilemma is how to attach that NSURL object. It's relatively easy when calling the iOS 6 SL-class posting modals; you just call the individual methods to attach a URL or an image. How would I go about doing this here? I'll note that instead of returning NSString objects from -activityViewController:itemForActivityType, if I return just NSURL objects, they show up with that paperclip, with no body text in the post. If I return an array of those two items, nothing shows up at all.

  • Android - BroadcastReceiver CONNECTIVITY ACTION

    - by Marc Ortiz
in my project there's a service that listens for changes in the connectivity. When wifi is switched off to on then it gets called. The problem it's that i'm using a fragment and inside a fragment there's a button with the setonclicklistener(); and onclick(); SOMETIMES when i touch the button then the service receives an intent that the connectivity has changed (the method gets called without any reason...). Here's the code of my fragment activity for the viewpager layout: public static class FragmentSelection extends Fragment { int mNum; static FragmentSelection newInstance(int num) { FragmentSelection f = new FragmentSelection(); // Supply num input as an argument. Bundle args = new Bundle(); args.putInt("num", num); f.setArguments(args); return f; } /** * When creating, retrieve this instance's number from its arguments. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); mNum = (getArguments() != null ? getArguments().getInt("num") : 1) + 1; } @Override public View onCreateView(LayoutInflater inflater, ViewGroup container, Bundle savedInstanceState) { final View v = inflater.inflate(R.layout.fragment_intro_contenido, container, false); Button btStart = (Button) v.findViewById(R.id.btChanged); final • Caching and accessing configuration data in ASP.NET MVC app.

    - by Sosh
I'm about to take a look at how to implement internationalisation for an ASP.NET MVC project. I'm looking at how to allow the user to change languages. My initial though is a dropdownlist containing each of the supported langauages. Whoever a few questions have come to mind: How to store the list of supported languages? (e.g. just "en", "English"; "fr", "French" etc.) An xml file? .config files? If I store this in a file I'll have to cache this (at startup I guess). So, what would be best, load the xml data into a list (somehow) and store this list in the System.Web.Cache? Application State? How then to load this data into the view (for display in a dropdown)? Give the view direct access to the cache? Just want to make sure I'm going in the right direction here... Thank you.

  • Are there any drawbacks to using helper :all in Rails

    - by Rob Jones
In Rails 'helper :all' makes all your helpers 'available' to all your controllers. This is concise and convenient, but does it have any memory and/or performance implications compared to explicitly calling the helpers that each controller actually needs? It's unclear form the docs whether using it involves 'require'ing all those files, or whether autoload is being used. I can't tell from the source in the Rails framework docs. thanks

  • Dealing with Time Zones

    - by RavIncredible
Hi All, I need some guidance with one of my project requirements, I am developing an application which has to deal with various time zones. Scenario: User 1 is from India, so his time zone would be GMT+05:30 User 2 is from UK, so his time zone would be GMT+01:00 If the User 1 sends a message to User 2, I want to show the Message Sent/Received Time as per the user’s time zone. For example User 1 sends a message at 6:30 Indian time, when User 2 would view the message it would show as 2:00 UK time. Here goes my question, whenever I save the message should I convert it to GMT+00, so all my base times stamps are the same and then later when I display the message, I convert it back to User specific time zone. Would this be complex? Is this the best way of doing this? I like to get views for both saving and displaying, also when I should do the time conversion from optimization point of view. I would need do deal with any/all timezones. I am developing this application with PHP and MySQL and I am aware of timezone conversion method come with both PHP and MySQL. I am just trying to figure out the best way of doing this. Look forward to have all valuable suggestions. Note : As of now I am not much worried with day/light savings. Thanks Ravi

  • Auto populate input based on file name with AngularJS

    - by LouieV
    I am playing around with AngularJS and have not been able to solve this problem. I have a view that has a form to upload a file to a node server. So far I have manage to do this using some directives and a service. I allow the user to send a custom name to the POST data if they desire. What I wan to accomplish is that when the user selects a file the filename models auto populates. My view looks like: <div> <input file-model="phpFile" type="file"> <input name="filename" type="text" ng-model="filename"> <button ng-click="send()">send</button> </div> file-model is my directive that allows the file to be assigned to a scope. myApp.directive('fileModel', ['$parse', function($parse) { return { restrict: 'A', link: function(scope, element, attrs) { var model = $parse.(attrs.fileModel); var modelSetter = model.assign; element.bind('change', function() { scope.$apply(function() { modelSetter(scope, element[0].files[0]); }); }); } }]); The service: myApp.service('fileUpload', ['$http', function($http){ this.uploadFileToUrl = function(file, uploadUrl, optionals) { var fd = new FormData(); fd.append('file', file); for (var key in file) { fd.append(key, file[key]); } for(var i = 0; i < optionals.length; i++){ fd.append(optionals[i].name, optionals[i].data); } }); }]); Here as you can see I pass the file, append its properties, and append any optional properties. In the controller is where I am having the troubles. I have tried $watch and using the file-model but I get the same error either way. myApp.controller('AddCtrl', function($scope, $location, PEberry, fileUpload){ //$scope.$watch(function() { // return $scope.phpFile; //},function(newValue, oldValue) { // $scope.filename = $scope.phpFile.name; //}, true); // if ($scope.phpFiles) { // $scope.filename = $scope.phpFiles.name; // } $scope.send = function() { var uploadUrl = "/files"; var file = $scope.phpFile; //var opts = [{ name: "uname", data: file.name }] fileUpload.uploadFileToUrl(file, uploadUrl); }; }); Thank you for your help!

  • MVVM: Thin ViewModels and Rich Models

    - by Dan Bryant
I'm continuing to struggle with the MVVM pattern and, in attempting to create a practical design for a small/medium project, have run into a number of challenges. One of these challenges is figuring out how to get the benefits of decoupling with this pattern without creating a lot of repetitive, hard-to-maintain code. My current strategy has been to create 'rich' Model classes. They are fully aware that they will be consumed by an MVVM pattern and implement INotifyPropertyChanged, allow their collections to be observed and remain cognizant that they may always be under observation. My ViewModel classes tend to be thin, only exposing properties when data actually needs to be transformed, with the bulk of their code being RelayCommand handlers. Views happily bind to either ViewModels or Models directly, depending on whether any data transformation is required. I use AOP (via Postsharp) to ease the pain of INotifyPropertyChanged, making it easy to make all of my Model classes 'rich' in this way. Are there significant disadvantages to using this approach? Can I assume that the ViewModel and View are so tightly coupled that if I need new data transformation for the View, I can simply add it to the ViewModel as needed?

  • How do I change the CellErrorStyle for an Xceed Datagrid?

    - by Bob
So in the Xceed documentation there is a code example that does not work for me. It may be because my grid is bound to a DataGridCollectionView. The objects in the collection used by the datagridcollection are what implement IDataErrorInfo. The errors are showing up just fine. The problem is that they are using the default orange background for errors...I need a red border. Below is the XAML instantiation of my grid. I set the DataCell background property to red just so I could be sure I had access to the grid's properties... I do. I just can't find the way to identify the cell's w/ errors so I can style them. Thanks! <XceedDG:DataGridControl Grid.Row="1" Grid.ColumnSpan="5" ItemsSource="{Binding Path = ABGDataGridCollectionView, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" Background="{x:Static Views:DataGridControlBackgroundBrushes.ElementalBlue}" IsDeleteCommandEnabled="True" FontSize="16" AutoCreateColumns="False" x:Name="EncounterDataGrid" AllowDrop="True"> <XceedDG:DataGridControl.View> <Views:TableView ColumnStretchMode="All" ShowRowSelectorPane="True" ColumnStretchMinWidth="100"> <Views:TableView.FixedHeaders> <DataTemplate> <XceedDG:InsertionRow Height="40"/> </DataTemplate> </Views:TableView.FixedHeaders> </Views:TableView> </XceedDG:DataGridControl.View> <!--Group Header formatting--> <XceedDG:DataGridControl.Resources> <Style TargetType="{x:Type XceedDG:GroupByControl}"> <Setter Property="Visibility" Value="Collapsed"/> </Style> <Style TargetType="{x:Type XceedDG:DataCell}"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="Red"/> </Style> </XceedDG:DataGridControl.Resources> ...

  • iPhone: objc_class_name_TTTabStrip symbol not found build error

Hello friends, I am trying to implement 'scrollview' effect in 'Tabbar' which has 'TabItems'. I found that the good example is from 'facebook' open source 'TTCatlog' project 'Tabs' section. So i included all the source from it to my project and trying to build it. I have followed the following links to go ahead on this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/822792/how-to-create-a-horizontal-scrolling-view-on-iphone source: http://github.com/facebook/three20/tree/master/samples/ My calling code is like below: _tabBar1 = [[TTTabStrip alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(10, 68, 300, 28)]; _tabBar1.tabItems = [NSArray arrayWithObjects: [[[TTTabItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Item 1"] autorelease], [[[TTTabItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Item 2"] autorelease], [[[TTTabItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Item 3"] autorelease], [[[TTTabItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Item 4"] autorelease], [[[TTTabItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Item 5"] autorelease], [[[TTTabItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Item 6"] autorelease], [[[TTTabItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Item 7"] autorelease], [[[TTTabItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Item 8"] autorelease], [[[TTTabItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Item 9"] autorelease], [[[TTTabItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Item 10"] autorelease], nil]; [self.navigationController.view addSubview:_tabBar1]; My project folder as like below: ..../iphone/MyProgram/MyProgram.xcodeproj ..../iphone/Three20/src/Three20.... In my project settings for header search path, I have ../Three20/src But when i try to build it, it throws the following error: "objc_class_name_TTTabStrip symbol not found" "objc_class_name_TTTabItem symbol not found" I see there, all these files (.h and .m) are availbale there. Could someone please help what's wrong there and how do i get rid of this issue and continue working with it?

  • Publish failed using Ant publisher (Eclipse/datanucleus).

    - by aronp
Dear All, I am being driven mad the following (apparently hard) error from eclipse. Publish failed using Ant publisher Resource is out of sync with the file system: '/MyServlet/build/classes/com/inver/hotzones/database/BaseNetworkData.class'. I have seen comments on similar errors where refreshing eclipses view of the project helps but it is not helping me. Have tried cleaning the project, removing it from the webserver, deleting war files but cant seem to clear it. I have reset my TMPDIR variable so that it uses a directory on the same filesystem as that appeared to be another possible cause. The error occurs on classes which have been enhanced by datanuculeus. I have auto-enhance on the project. The other references to this problem indicate that it is due to Eclipses view of the project being out of step with the filesystem, and I am guessing that this has something to do with thedata nucleus enhancement. Any ideas? Thanks. I am using Eclipse 3.5.2 with latest datanucleus pluggins. • detail disclosure indicator on UIButton

    - by Ben Collins
Is there a simple way to place a detail disclosure icon on a UIButton? I'm using a navigation controller and I want a button press to push a new view on the stack, so I thought a detail disclosure icon would be appropriate, but I haven't found a straightforward way to do that yet.

  • Joomla - Force File Download / CSV Export

    - by lautaro.dragan
I'm in need of help... this is my first time asking a question in SO, so please be kind :) I'm trying to force-download a file from php, so when the user hits a certain button, he gets a file download. The file is a csv (email, username) of all registered users. I decided to add this button to the admin users screen, as you can see in this screenshot. So I added the following code to the addToolbar function in administrator/components/com_users/views/users/view.html.php: JToolBarHelper::custom('users.export', 'export.png', 'export_f2.png', 'Exportar', false); This button is mapped to the following function in the com_users\controller\users.php controller: public function exportAllUsers() { ob_end_clean(); $app = JFactory::getApplication(); header("Content-type: text/csv"); header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=ideary_users.csv"); header("Pragma: no-cache"); header("Expires: 0"); echo "email,name\n"; $model = $this->getModel("Users"); $users = $model->getAllUsers(); foreach ($users as $user) { echo $user->email . ", " . ucwords(trim($user->name)) . "\r\n"; } $app->close(); } Now, this is actually working perfectly fine. The issue here is that after I download a file, if I hit any button in the admin that causes a POST, instead of it performing the action it should, it just downloads the file over again! For example: I hit the "Export" button "users.csv" downloads Then, I hit the "search" button "users.csv" downloads... what the hell? I'm guessing that when I hit the export button, a JS gets called and sets a form's action attribute to an URL... and expects a response or something, and then other button's are prevented from re-setting the form's action attribute. I can't think of any real solution for this, but I'd rather avoid hacks if possible. So, what would be the standard, elegant solution that joomla offers in this case?

  • iPhone SDK - UITextField with + Button for Contacts

    - by Isaac Waller
Hello, In some applications like Mail, when you have a UITextField, there is a little + button to the right. When you tap it, a modal view controller comes up which you can select a phone number, address, etc from, and it will appear in the text field. I was wondering how to implement this in my own app. Thanks, Isaac

  • NSMutableDictionary with UIButton* as keys - iPhone development

    - by Alejandro A.
Hi, I'm new to iPhone development and I have a question that may have a very simple answer. I am trying to add buttons to a view and these buttons are associated with a custom class that I defined. When I add the buttons to the view, I would like to know what class these buttons correspond to. This is because when I press the button, I need to get some information about the class, but the receiver of the message is another class. I couldn't find information about an error that I'm getting on the web. The problem I have is that I'm trying to create an NSMutableDictionary where the keys are of type UIButton* and the values are of my custom type: // create button for unit UIButton* unitButton = [[UIButton alloc] init]; [sourceButtonMap setObject:composite forKey:unitButton]; Of course, the sourceButtonMap is defined in the class and initialized in the init function as sourceButtonMap = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; The error I get when I try to add the key-value pair is: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[UIButton copyWithZone:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x3931e90' Is this happening because I can't store UIButton* as keys? Can anyone point me why I'm getting this error? Thank you all, aa

  • Architectural conundrum

    - by Dejan
The worst thing when working on a one man project is the lack of input that you usually get from your coworkers. And because of the lack of that you tend to make obvious mistakes. After going down that road for some time I would need some help from the community. I started a little home-brew project that should turn into a portal of some sorts. And the main thing that is bothering me is the persistence layer that i have concocted. It should be completely separated from the presentation layer for starters and a OR mapper is also somewhere. This is because I have multiple data stores that have to be used. So the base idea was that the individual "repositories" operate each on their individual database and that the business layer then aggregates the business objects which are then transformed in the presentation layer into view objects. The main problem I face is the following: Multiple classes for the same concept - There is a DAL representation of a user and BL representation of user and a view representation of a user. I can handle the transformation with a tool but is this really the right way. I mean they are all nicely separated, but the overhead is quite something. What do you think? Am I going too deep into the separation of concern rabbit hole or is this still normal?
