    The images are displayed horizontally using . At first no images are selected if selected it has to be highlighted. If user changes the selection the old has to go normal and new has to be highlighted. while in edit mode we need to highlight the already selected image and they may change in this mode so highlight should change.   • Comparison of Java and .NET technologies/frameworks

    I work in a shop that is a mix of mostly Java and .NET technologists. When discussing new solutions and architectures we often encounter impedance in trying to compare the various technologies, frameworks, APIs etc. in use between the two camps. It seems that each camp knows little about the other and we end up comparing apples to oranges and forgetting about the bushels. While researching the topic I found this: Java -- .Net rough equivalents It's a nice list but it's not quite exhaustive and is missing the key .NET 3.0 technologies and a few other tidbits. To complete that list: what are the near/rough equivalents (or a combination of technologies) in Java to the following in .NET? WCF WPF Silverlight = JavaFx WF = jBMP (Java Business Process Management) Generics Lambda expressions = lambdaJ project or Closures Linq (not Linq-to-SQL) ...have i missed anything else? Note that I omitted technologies that are already covered in the linked article. I would also like to hear feedback on whether the linked article is accurate. Thanks. (Will CW if requested.)

  • jQuery .toggle() called by window.setInterval() not functioning

    I am trying to alternate between two logos every 5 seconds using the following code: window.setInterval( function () { //breakpoint 1 $("#logo").toggle( function() { //breakpoint 2 $(this).attr('src', '/Images/logo1.png'); }, function() { //breakpoint 3 $(this).attr('src', '/Images/logo2.png'); } ); }, 5000 ); I can get a simple toggle to work, but when I introduce the toggle within window.setInterval(), the toggle's two handlers won't fire. I set breakpoints on the lines directly beneath the comments in the code above. Breakpoint 1 hits every 5 seconds. However, Breakpoint 2 and 3 never hit. Why are neither of the toggle function's handlers firing?

    Any easy way to read all the columns in Matlab? my format is date time y1 y2 y3 y4 ......................... 4/27/2010 00:3:09 34 45 45 56 ................ so on currently i am reading these with the code [c,pathc]=uigetfile({'*.txt'},'Select the data','C:\Data'); file=[pathc c]; data= dlmread(file, ',', 1,3); so needless to say i am skipping the time stamps. Was wondering if there is aeasy way to read the time stamps and plot my other colums agianst the time in hours. my files are 43200 X 30 and some are 86400 X 90 Related question : is the format same for .csv and .xls files , i mean except ofcourse xlsread

  • How do you use glFrustrum in OpenGL ES1 on iPhone

    So I am using Xcode 3.2.1 and am trying to make an iPhone OpenGL ES1 project. The default template for an opengl project is ok, but I have been trying to split the code up so not everything is done per frame on the drawView() call. I have a seperate setupRC method that sets the lighting, turns on depth test, turns on culling and sets the clear color. This is called on the init of the EAGLView and this works just fine. I have took the glViewport() and glFrustrum() calls and put them at the end of the resizeFromLayer() method in the ES1Renderer.m file. This gets hit when the app starts and when the app gets resized as it should. Now the problem is the frustrum's far seems to be messed up, as in all my objects get cut / clipped off. I tried adjusting the camera position and angle and it still all objects are cut / clipped. I increased the far from 1000.0f to 30000.0f and still get the same result. What is crazy is that if i call both the glViewport() and glFrustrum() calls in the drawView() every frame everything looks right. Nothing is clipped and looks like i want it. From everything I've been reading the frustrum and viewport calls only need to be called when the window / gets made and resizes, but If I don't call it every frame in my project it doesn't work.     I am having trouble deleting orphan nodes using JPA with the following mapping @OneToMany (cascade = CascadeType.ALL, fetch = FetchType.EAGER, mappedBy = "owner") private List<Bikes> bikes; I am having the issue of the orphaned roles hanging around the database. I can use the @org.hibernate.annotations.Cascade Hibernate specific tag but obviously I don't want to tie my solution into a hibernate implementation. Any pointers greatly appreciated.

  • How did My Object Get into ASP.NET Page State?

    I know what this error is, how to fix it, etc. My question is that I don't know why my current page I am developing is throwing this error when I am not using the foo class directly in any way, nor am I setting anything to the viewstate. I am using postbacks alot, but like I said, I am not storing anything in the viewstate etc one integer. I am using nhibernate if that is relevant.   • Android Java writing text file to sd card

    I have a strange problem I've come across. My app can write a simple textfile to SD card and sometimes it works for some people but not for others and I have no idea why. Some people it force closes if they put some characters like "..." in it and such. I cannot seem to reproduce it as I've had no troubles but this is the code that handles it.   • Good File Organization Suggestions for Developer

    I am struggling a little with folder organization to organize the many projects that I work on. I work on OS X - right now I am using ~/Development/ as the root folder, and I have many types of projects. For example, I have my iPhone apps under ~/Development/Xcode I develop in many languages, from PHP, to Ruby, to Python, to Objective-C. So, for example, I might have a couple of open-source apps based on PHP where I am using the Zend framework. Some of these projects are for clients, others are tests/experiments when learning a new language or general experimenting. I am really interested in how other developers have organized code/projects and could pass along some advice to make it very easy to navigate through code/projects related to many languages and types of projects.

  • Drupal rendering incomplete views

    I got tapped to do some quick maintenance on a recently migrated Drupal site. I'm pretty new to Drupal, so hopefully the problem is something that more experienced guys will figure out quick. Behavior is as follows. The public content works fine as far as I can tell. When I go to login, the login form renders correctly, but when I post the form w/ my credentials, I get back a blank page (not a 404; looks like a 200 to the /user URL, but all the gets rendered is empty Head and body tags). If i refresh the page, I get the content of my profile view, but none of the site chrome or CSS. Note that this is not an issue on the site it was migrated from, so it seems like something wasn't copied over correctly. The site's not public, so I can't provide a URL, sorry!

  • Why are types found on an imported namepace but not on a fully qualified namespace after retargeting the framework?

    We've just re-targeted a VB.NET project from .Net 2.0 to 3.5. Various framework types are now missing from our project. Wherever the type is referenced using a fully qualified namespace it's missing. If the relevant namespace is imported for the type; it's found. For example, this doesn't find the type Object, with compiler error "System.Object is not defined.": Public Class Foo Inherits System.Object End Class However, this works ok: Imports System Public Class Foo Inherits [Object] End Class I've already tried re-opening the solution with no success.

  • Visual Studio (2005 & 2008) Compile Completed Alert?

    Does anyone know of any kind of plugin or alert system which will let me know when my compiles are completed? Some of the solutions I work with are gigantic and sometimes the compiles can take 5-20 minutes (depending on the PC). Thus I would like to do something else in the meantime, but I don't want to keep checking back to see if the compile is done. Is there any way to have a windows alert, or flash the screen when the compile is done? It would let me browse the internet whilst waiting for the compile to finish without worrying that its been complete and I'm just wasting time.

    We're about to embark on some ASP.NET MVC development and have been using our own entity framework for years. However we need to support more than our entity framework is capable of and so I'd like to get some opinions about using MVC with a more robust framework. We have narrowed down or choices to either NHibernate (with the Fluent APIs) or LINQ to SQL. Which framework lends itself best to MVC style development (I know SO uses LINQ to SQL)? If we want to support SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL - does that exclude LINQ to SQL?

    I need an algorithm written in any language to find an image inside of an image, including at different scales. Does anyone know a starting point to solving a problem like this? For example: I have an image of 800x600 and in that image is a yellow ball measuring 180 pixels in circumference.     I have looked for some explanation on the exact usages for the set of standards known as OpenSocial. I need some clarification if I can use OpenSocial like the following. I would like to create one library used to community with an OpenSocial api for use in my website that will not 'behave' like an application described by common sites like facebook and myspace. I'm not making a myspace of facebook application, I'm creating my own website and I want users to be able to find friends. I would like to allow users to store usernames and passwords for various OpenSocial-supported social networks. I would also like to use the api to sync events from my web site to their specified social network. I would also like to allow my users to view a list of friends and invite them. Is it possible to create one library that supports OpenSocial and simple "point" to and social network that supports it to get a list of friends and etc?

    Hello, I am searching for a rails-based CMS that provide rich text editing feature (e.g. I need an interface very similar to that of Wordpress where you can easily style up your static pages and upload pictures without knowing any css or html) AND easy to be dropped into an existing rails application. Camtose, RadiantCMS and few other ones did not seem to offer the rich interface I was looking for. RefineryCMS had conflict with my existing user authentication and I did not really find a solution to it. I am just wondering if there are any rails based cms that can meet my needs. Please advise if you know of any such rails-based CMS. Thank you for your help!

  • importing symbols from python package into caller's namespace

    I have a little internal DSL written in a single Python file that has grown to a point where I would like to split the contents across a number of different directories + files. The new directory structure currently looks like this: dsl/ __init__.py types/ __init__.py type1.py type2.py and each type file contains a class (e.g. Type1). My problem is that I would like to keep the implementation of code that uses this DSL as simple as possible, something like: import dsl x = Type1() ... This means that all of the important symbols should be available directly in the user's namespace. I have tried updating the top-level __init__.py file to import the relevant symbols: from types.type1 import Type1 from types.type2 import Type2 ... print globals() the output shows that the symbols are imported correctly, but they still aren't present in the caller's code (the code that's doing the import dsl). I think that the problem is that the symbols are actually being imported to the 'dsl' namespace. How can I change this so that the classes are also directly available in the caller's namespace?
