  • Dashcode: How to create a custom/new Project Template?

    I'm trying to customize the javascript that Dashcode uses. So that I won't step on Apple's Project Templates, I want to make a custom project template that would appear as a choice after you click "New Project." I have been able to modify one of the existing templates (like, Custom, Browser, Utility, RSS, and Podcast). I can not, however, seem to add a new template to the list, like adding "JJ's Awesome New Cross Platform Template" as a choice. I have tried copying the directory Plugins/TemplateWebCustom.wdgtTemplate and changing in Custom's Info.plist file the com.apple.Dashcode.template.web.custom to, say com.apple.Dashcode.template.web.custom2 and in Resouces/project.plist updating the key value pair: TemplateIdentifier ==>com.apple.Dashcode.template.web.custom Is it possible to add a new Project Template?   • dynamically created datagridview columns not accessible unless added to a form...why?

    We simply created a DataGridView control dynamically and bound it to a DataTable. We were tying to style certain columns. But, when we tried to access the columns we got a null reference. On further investigation we found that if we add the DataGridView control to the main form, and then try to access its columns, it works fine!!! Code which throws error: DataGridView gv = new DataGridView(); gv.DataSource = GetDataTable(); //binding it to datatable Debug.Assert(gv.Columns == null); Code which works fine: DataGridView gv = new DataGridView(); gv.DataSource = GetDataTable(); //binding it to datatable this.Controls.Add(gv); //adding to form Debug.Assert(gv.Columns == null); //the assertion fails! Why is this behaviour so? Is there a workaround for this?

  • How to generate a compiler error based on an attribute being missing in C#?

    I create a number of add-ins for the Revit Structure API. Each tool has to habe a class which implements the interface IExternalCommand. In the latest version of Revit, for your tool to work you need to have two attributes on the class that implements that interface: [Regeneration(RegenerationOption.Manual)] [Transaction(TransactionMode.Automatic)] The values in brackets can change, but there must be something there. Often I am finding myself forgetting to put the attributes on, then when it comes to runtime it crashes. Is there any way in Visual Studio 2010 to add a compiler warning or error saying that if your class implements that interface it must have those 2 attributes? I have resharper if that helps. Can anyone point me into the right direction?

  • How to use mencoder to speed up video ?

    There's a webcam streaming WMV video that I can play/record with mplayer/mencoder (Debian Lenny including Debian-multimedia) just fine. I'd like to capture the video such that, when played back, it's faster (so say 100s of real time zooms past in every 1s of video). The "frameskip" filter seems like it ought to do this, but when I try e.g mencoder -o output.avi -ofps 25 -vf framestep=100 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:... <mms source URL> what I actually get is something which plays for the same length of time as it's allowed to capture for, but which only updates the displayed image every 4 seconds. Is there any way mencoder can be persuaded to do what I want ? (By the way, ideally I'd like to average the frames together to obtain motion-blur instead of just dropping/discarding most of them.).

  • Binding Many-to-Many Core Data relationships in UI

    Basically my setup is this. I have a many-to-many relationship in Core Data where a student entity can have multiple courses, and a course entity can have multiple students. My problem is in trying to figure out how to bind this relationship to the UI in Interface Builder. I want to be able to add courses to a course array controller, then have those courses displayed in a popup menu in a NSTableView in the Edit Student window where you can add courses to a student.     Consider this topic a sequel of the following topic: Previous Installment Undefined Behavior and Sequence Points Let's revisit this funny and convoluted expression (the italicized phrases are taken from the above topic *smile* ): i += ++i; We say this invokes undefined-behavior. I presume that when say this, we implicitly assume that type of i is one of built-in types. So my question is: what if the type of i is a user-defined type? Say it's type is Index which is defined later in this post (see below). Would it still invoke undefined-behavior? If yes, why? Is it not equivalent to writing i.operator+=(i.operator ++()); or even syntactically simpler i.add(i.inc());? Or, do they too invoke undefined-behavior? If no, why not? After all, the object i gets modified twice between consecutive sequence points. Please recall the rule of thumb : an expression can modify an object's value only once between consecutive "sequence points. And if i += ++i is an expression, then it must invoke undefined-behavior. If so, then it's equivalents i.operator+=(i.operator ++()); and i.add(i.inc()); must also invoke undefined-behavior which seems to be untrue! (as far as I understand) Or, i += ++i is not an expression to begin with? If so, then what is it and what is the definition of expression? If it's an expression, and at the same time, it's behavior is also well-defined, then it implies that number of sequence points associated with an expression somehow depends on the type of operands involved in the expression. Am I correct (even partly)?     Hello, if i have got 1 Window and in the interface builder i add a second view, then in the Main Interface Builder Window I see 2 Views which are both called "View". How do I add one of this views programmatically to the m and the h file, and what do i have to edit in the interface builder so that i can run the second generated view (how do i name it,..)     Hi all, I'm new to JTable.I'm working in Swings using JTable & Toplink(JPA). I have two buttons "add Row", "Del Row" and I have some records displayed from db. when ever "add row" is clicked a new record, row header should be added to JTable with an auto increment number displayed in sequential order to the JTable Row Header. During deletion using "Del row " button the record has to be deleted & not its corresponding header so that next rows got updated to the previous headers & the auto increment number remain unchanged and always be in sequence. please help me on this regard.   • Creating an installer with WPF forms, packaged files and custom setup actions in C#

    I'm trying to create a way of deploying a set of tools (which are add-ins to 3rd party software) to my users. I would like to do the following: User Enters Serial Dlls in their directory structure is extracted to program files a file is copied to a location in ProgramData (this registers my add-ins to the 3rd party application) Online activation for software is performed Can anyone point me into the right direction for this? I had a look at deployment projects in Visual Studio but I'm not sure if they are what I'm after. Main problem is they are ugly, I would like to have a nice WPF installer, and have a more custom experience. But I guess that can be traded off if its going to make things easier. I was thinking, I could just make my own C# project that extracts the files, but I have no idea how to package them up and extract them all as part of one download (like the MSI files that the deployment projects create). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    i would like to have your opinion in a project i am currently working on. class Product has_many :orders end class Order attr_accessor :deliverable # to contain temporary data on how many items can be delivered for this order belongs_to :product end somehow i want to have Order.all_deliverable that will calculate the Product's quantity, subtract from list of Orders until the Product is empty or there is no more Order for this Product to illustrate Product A, quantity: 20 Product B, quantity: 0 Order 1, require Product A, quantity: 12 Order 2, require Product B, quantity: 10 Order 3, require Product A, quantity: 100 so if i call Order.all_deliverable, it will give Order 1, deliverable:12 Order 3, deliverable: 8 #(20-12) i have been thinking on using named_scope, but i think the logic will be too complex to be put in a named_scope. Any suggestion? the pseudo code for all_deliverable will be something like this: go to each orders find the remaining quantity for specific product deduct the product to max amount of order, if product is not enough, add the maximum product add to the order end From what i read around in the web, named_scope deal mostly like find and have not many method calling and looping.

    I'm using Hibernate 3.2, and using criteria to build a query. I'd like to add and "order by" for a many-to-one association, but I don't see how that can be done. The Hibernate query would end up looking like this, I guess: select t1.a, t1.b, t1.c, t2.dd, t2.ee from t1 inner join t2 on t1.a = t2.aa order by t2.dd <-- need to add this I've tried criteria.addOrder("assnName.propertyName") but it doesn't work. I know it can be done for normal properties. Am I missing something?

  • Click edit button twice in gridview asp.net c# issue

    I have a gridview created on a page where I want to provide an edit button for the user to click in. However the issue is the grid view row becomes editable only while clicking the edit button second time. Not sure what is going wrong here, any help would be appreciated. One additional point is my grid view is displayed on the page only on a click of a button and is not there on page_load event hence.   • Why does ASP.NET web site reference assembly from GAC, when adding local reference?

    When you use ASP.NET web site (instead of web application model) and add reference to an assembly from local folder, Visual Studio, it seems, understands that this local assembly is also in GAC and so does NOT copy this assembly to bin folder (as it does with non-GAC assemblies), but simply adds new record in web.config file. Why such a behaviour? Is it possible to force copy to bin folder (I need this since .dll is not on target environment)? I can add assembly to bin folder as file and it will work, but in this case bin folder contents will be in source control, which is not good.

    Hi All, I need to open an internal web browser from a custom eclipse wizard I have created - and so I am using IWebBrowser webBrowser = browser.createBrowser (IWorkbenchBrowserSupport.LOCATION_BAR | IWorkbenchBrowserSupport.AS_EDITOR | IWorkbenchBrowserSupport.NAVIGATION_BAR | IWorkbenchBrowserSupport.STATUS, null,"TestBrowser", "TestBrowser"); URL url = new URL("http://localhost:8080/app"); webBrowser.openURL(url); Now the problem is - the openURL needs time to complete as it tries to load a page for a webapp and as I am not able to get the progress of the 'load page' operation of the URL - my wizard progressmonitor completes before the URL can be completely loaded . Is there any way to get the status of the page load operation - (to check if its complete or it failed) or add a listener to indicate completion of page load? It is okay for me to use some other implementations of internal web browsers - so please suggest some other approach we cannot add a listener to IWebBrowser.. Thanks for ur help !!

  • Converting app to MVC and running it in both console and gui

    I have a simple java gui calculator, with 3 number systems (there are some bugs but that doesn't matter now). Currently all code is in one file. My task is to rewrite it as MVC, and add possibility to run it in either gui or console mode. How should I divide this program to organise it as M-V-C ? Is it written properly enough to add console functionality to it? (guess I'll have to change all methods invoking to JLabel Output to something simply storing an output String as a model argument and then having View to get it). In the Fruit model I have: set_inheritance_column :taste_type In my migration to add STI I have: class AddSTI < ActiveRecord::Migration def self.up add_column :fruits, :taste_type, :string, :limit => 100, :null => false Fruit.reset_column_information Fruit.find_by_id(1).update_attributes({:taste_type => 'Sour'}) end def self.down remove_column :fruits, :taste_type end end When I run the migration, I get the following error: Mysql::Error: Column 'taste_type' cannot be null: ... Any idea what's going? I can get the migration to run if I comment the set_inheritance_column in the Fruit model, then uncomment it after I run the migration. Obviously, I don't want to do this, however.

  • How can I allow a linux subversion user to only execute svnserve?

    I've got a user that I'd like to only be able to use subversion. We like to use svn+ssh:// URLs sometimes (for public keys and whatnot), so I need them to be able to connect over ssh and run only the svnserve command. When using a svn+ssh URL, svn ssh'es in and passes the arguments "-c svnserve -t". I wrote a custom shell as follows to filter the commands that can be run. This works, but it's not passing the input to svnserve, so when I try to "svn up" I get "svn: Connection closed unexpectedly". #!/bin/bash if [ "$1" == "-c" ] && [ "$2" == "svnserve" ] && [ "$3" == "-t" ] && [ "$4" == ""] ; then exec svnserve -t else echo "Access denied.   • razor intellisense not working on VS2010 for microsoft.web.helpers

    I have VS2010 Premium,.NET4.0, MVC3 Tools Update. I've nugetted microsoft-web-helpers successfully. I cannot get @razor intellisense to recognize the microsoft.web.helpers classes. They do work correctely at runtime, i.e. @Twitter.profile shows a profile, but at design time the statent is seen as an error and no members are shown after "." I've tried to add <add assembly="System.Web.Helpers, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" /> to the <assemblies> element in web.config, but it didn't help. Any idea? thanks.
