• update entire table with pdo

    - by MephDaddy
    I am working on a simple gaming ladder script. I am having little to no luck trying to find an effective way to reset my ladder information while leaving my table id and name fields intact. I am trying to get create a loop to update my entire table, similar to the way I draw my table. Shown below. ...... //Start displaying ladder with with team with most wins at the top echo "

"; foreach($db->query('SELECT * FROM test ORDER BY win DESC , name ASC') as $row) { echo "

" . $row['name'] . "

" . $row['win'] . "

"; echo $row['loss'] . "

" . $row['battles'] . "

"; echo $row['score'] . "

"; } ...... I currently have a table with 6 fields(id,name,win,loss,battles,score). I want to reset the values of win,loss,battles, and score back to 0. While leaving id and name alone. Effective reseting my ladder for a new season to begin. The only way I have been able to complete this is to find out how many rows there are and run a for loop. It seems vary inefficient. Was hoping I could get some better insight as to how to go about this.

  • How come this relative positioned div is displayed differently in IE?

    - by Camran
    What is with these microsoft browsers? Does microsoft ever do a good job at anything... Anyways, I have a relative positioned div inside another div. The inside-div is positioned with percentage (left: 0%; top:13%). My problem is that in all IE versions the div is displayed some pixels further down than where it is displayed in Chrome, or FF... Anybody recognize this?

Also, I am just about to browser adjust my website so some article about most common problems with IE is appreciated. Thanks UPDATE: Here is the style for the primary div. .nav_container { background-image: url(../Graphics/menu_lvl1.gif); height: 101px; width: 720px; }

  • click event working in Chrome but error in Firefox and IE

    - by Hunter Stanchak
    I am writing a messaging system with jquery. When you click on a thread title with the class '.open_message', It opens a thread with all the messages for that thread via Ajax. My issue is that when the thread title is clicked it is not recognizing the id attribute for that specific thread title in firefox and IE. It works fine in chrome, though. Here is the code: $('.open_message').on('click', function(e) { $(this).parent().removeClass('unread'); $(this).parent().addClass('read'); $('.message_container').html(''); var theID = e.currentTarget.attributes[0].value; theID = theID.replace('#', ''); var url = '".$url."'; var dataString = 'thread_id=' + theID; $('.message_container').append(''); $.ajax({ type: 'POST', url: 'get_thread.php', data: dataString, success: function(result) { $('#loading').hide(); $('.message_container').append(result); } }); return false; }); Thanks for the help!

  • Why can't I display same object in multiple viewports?

    - by user288973
    Hi, I'm pretty new to OpenGL. Was playing around with some code but can't figure out why the following will not produce two viewports with the same object view. Heres the code: glViewport(0, windowHeight/2, windowWidth/2, windowHeight); glScissor(0, windowHeight/2, windowWidth/2, windowHeight); glMatrixMode(GL_PROJECTION); glLoadIdentity(); gluPerspective( 45.0, (GLfloat)(windowWidth/2)/(GLfloat)(windowHeight/2), 0.1f, 500.0 ); glMatrixMode(GL_MODELVIEW); glLoadIdentity(); glClear(GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT | GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT); drawParticleView(); glViewport(windowWidth/2, 0, windowWidth, windowHeight/2); glScissor(windowWidth/2, 0, windowWidth, windowHeight/2); glMatrixMode(GL_PROJECTION); glLoadIdentity(); gluPerspective( 45.0, (GLfloat)(windowWidth/2)/(GLfloat)(windowHeight/2), 0.1f, 500.0 ); glMatrixMode(GL_MODELVIEW); glLoadIdentity(); glClear(GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT | GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT); drawParticleView(); drawParticleView() just draws an array of rectangles. The problem is that the second viewport is a squashed representation of the first. My window width is 1280 and height 960. I'm obviously doing something wrong but what? Thanks

  • Smarty/PHP loop not being passed to IE(Pc) or Chrome/FF(Mac)

    - by Kyle Sevenoaks
    Hi, I've been working on a site that has a lot of PHP/Smarty involved, I've been asked to re-skin a webstore checkout process, but during this we've discovered this issue. This particular quirk is one part of a tax calculation that doesn't get sent to the browser in IE for PC and Chrome/FF for the Mac. It's NOT in the output source in the browsers, but is in FF, Chrome and Opera on the PC. Here is the code that doesn't "work:" {foreach $cart.taxes.$currency as $tax}

{$tax.name_lang}:

{$tax.formattedAmount}

{/foreach} It's not a CSS issue as if you go all the way through the checkout process and then back to the order page (Not using the back button, using the on-site links) it works. There is another calculation on the last page of the process that does the same thing: {foreach from=$order.taxes.$currency item="tax"}

{$tax.name_lang}:

{$tax.formattedAmount}

{/foreach} I guess my question is what could cause this to not be read (Parsed?) in IE and the mac but other browsers do it fine on the PC. Thanks.

  • Image error with wordpress and php

    - by bubdada
    It may seem stupid question, but i've a serious problem... if you could check out orcik.net the thumbnail images does not appear. I figured out the reason but I don't know how to solve.. http://orcik.net/projects/thumb/orcikthumb.php?src=http://orcik.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/mac-safari-search-cache.png If you go to the above link you will get page not found error. However, if you go to the link below you'll get the thumbnail version of the image... http://orcik.net/projects/thumb/orcikthumb.php?src=/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/mac-safari-search-cache.png I'm using this piece of code on wordpress and the line appears like <a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark"> <img src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/includes/orcikthumb.php?src=<?php get_thumbnail($post->ID, 'full'); ?>&h=<?php echo get_theme_mod($height); ?>&w=<?php echo get_theme_mod($width); ?>&zc=1" alt="<?php the_title(); ?>" /> Thus, I believe I can't change the directory of image. But I could not figure out why I am getting page not found error. Is that might be CHMOD'es??? or something else?? Thanks

  • How to save data of two for loops in one array?

    - by Homer_Simpson
    I have two for loops and I wanna save that data in one array. The first for loop will create 5 rectangles in the array. After that, the second for loop will create 5 rectangles and add them to the array. But something doesn't work. I get that "Index was outside the bounds of the array" error message in the last line of the code and I don't know what to change. int framewidth = texture.Width / sourceRects.Length; int frameheight = texture.Height; private void vorrück(Rectangle[] sourceRects, int framewidth, int frameheight) { int doublelenght = sourceRects.Length * 2; for (int i = 0; i < sourceRects.Length; i++) sourceRects[i] = new Rectangle(i * framewidth, 0, framewidth, frameheight); for (int normallenght = sourceRects.Length; normallenght < doublelenght; normallenght++) sourceRects[normallenght] = new Rectangle((sourceRects.Length - 1 - normallenght) * framewidth, 0, framewidth, frameheight); }

  • Using large transparent pictures as texture atlases

    - by azlisum
    i'm new to android programming and i'm trying to create a relatively big 2D game. I have to use lots of images and objects in my game so I decided to use OpenGL ES. I have several texture atlases, all of them saved as png's because of the transparency. I also know, but i'm not sure why, that I have to use images, which height and width is multiple of two. I test my game on an old HTC Hero running Android 2.3.3. When my picture atlases are 512x512 each, my game has a frame rate of between 50 to 60 fps. When I use 1024x1024 non transparent png, there is no problem - the FPS is again between 50 to 60 fps. But when i decide to use a 1024x1024 transperent PNG's my frame rate drops to 4,5 fps. Could this be a problem related to the age of the device i'm using for testing? These are the OpenGL functions I use each loop to draw batches: gl.glEnable(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_2D); gl.glEnable(GL10.GL_BLEND); gl.glBlendFunc(GL10.GL_SRC_ALPHA, GL10.GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA); //drawing happens here gl.glDisable(GL10.GL_BLEND); Thanks in advance :)

  • How do you have jquery slide up and down on hover without distorting shape?

    - by anita
    How do you have an object slide up as if it were hidden behind something, rather than bending out. example In the jsfiddle demo, you can see the circle bends flat as it slides, but I'd like it to slide out as if it were hidden behind something. (I unfortunately can't just put an image or div with the same background color over the circle and have the circle underneath slide upward.) html
Hover

Sliding down!
jquery $('.box').hide(); $('.button').hover( function() { $('.box').slideToggle('slow'); } ); update: You guys had really good answers! But I found one of the solutions: http://jsfiddle.net/7fNbM/36/ I decided to just wrap the .button div and .box div in a container, and give the container a specific height, specific width, and overflow of hidden. This way I wouldn't have to cover the image in the background and it provides the effect I was looking for.

  • Dynamically changing layout

    - by LTMOD
    I have a 2 x 2 grid of buttons. Each row of 2 is wrapped in a horizontal linear layout. <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="100dip"> At times I want to show all 4 buttons, and other times, I show the top 2 only, and sometimes, I need to show 2 on top, and one on the bottom. I would like to center the bottom one, but can't seem to accomplish this. In my code, I call btn4.setVisibility(8); //8 = GONE, which makes my 4th button disappear, but then btn3 ends up filling the entire layout. What I would like it to do instead is center itself within the layout at its correct width / height. I'm a bit new to this, so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  • Retrieving an element by array index in jQuery vs the each() function.

    - by Alex Ciminian
    I was writing a "pluginable" function when I noticed the following behavior (tested in FF 3.5.9 with Firebug 1.5.3). $.fn.computerMove = function () { var board = $(this); var emptySquares = board.find('div.clickable'); var randPosition = Math.floor(Math.random() * emptySquares.length); emptySquares.each(function (index) { if (index === randPosition) { // logs a jQuery object console.log($(this)); } }); target = emptySquares[randPosition]; // logs a non-jQuery object console.log(target); // throws error: attr() not a function for target board.placeMark({'position' : target.attr('id')}); } I noticed the problem when the script threw an error at target.attr('id') (attr not a function). When I checked the log, I noticed that the output (in Firebug) for target was:

If I output $(target), or $(this) from the each() function, I get a nice jQuery object: [ div#8.square ] Now here comes my question: why does this happen, considering that find() seems to return an array of jQuery objects? Why do I have to do $() to target all over again? [div#0.square, div#1.square, div#2.square, div#3.square, div#4.square, div#5.square, div#6.square, div#7.square, div#8.square] Just a curiosity :).

  • how Two elements - IMG - DIV when hover over IMG show/hide the DIV - added with hover hide/show on i

    - by Jan Fosgerau
    Im very new to the wonder that is jquery. and i just figure out how to make my img buttons show/hide with a opacity difference (as such) which is good and all. but i also need to make the button when hovered over show text just above it that is specific to that button. i made these here elements that are looped in a for each.

<xsl:value-of select="@nodeName"/>

    i need to make the individual text appear when hovered over its button. hence i have the id="page-{@id}" looped out along and need to get this place in the jquery code i presume. so when i hover over a img class="ExcommKnap" it makes the correct text visible. But i need the div id="page-{id}" to be invisible to begin with on pageload and then visible when its button is being hovered over. can anyone help ?

  • Zoom in on a point (using scale and translate)

  • 3D coordinate of 2D point given camera and view plane

    - by Myx
    I wish to generate rays from the camera through the viewing plane. In order to do this, I need my camera position ("eye"), the up, right, and towards vectors (where towards is the vector from the camera in the direction of the object that the camera is looking at) and P, the point on the viewing plane. Once I have these, the ray that's generated is: ray = camera_eye + t*(P-camera_eye); where t is the distance along the ray (assume t = 1 for now). My question is, how do I obtain the 3D coordinates of point P given that it is located at position (i,j) on the viewing plane? Assume that the upper left and lower right corners of the viewing plane are given. NOTE: The viewing plane is not actually a plane in the sense that it doesn't extend infinitely in all directions. Rather, one may think of this plane as a widthxheight image. In the x direction, the range is 0--width and in the y direction the range is 0--height. I wish to find the 3D coordinate of the (i,j)th element, 0

  • IE showing hidden div under certain circumstances

    - by karola
    After googling around and finding a lot of ie bugs I still did not find a description of the problem I have. The initial situation is a standard one. We have a tooltip which is actually a hidden div that will be displayed on mouseover at a given location. The div is hidden with display:none and contains a table with the content. We tried different libraries for showing the div (scriptaculous and jQuery Cluetip) but the effect is the same. The problem: Everything is fine as long as the contents fits the width of my window. But when I resize it until the horizontal scrollbar is activated the content of the hidden div will be shown at the end of the page when the tooltip is activated. This is really strange as it happens only under these premises. When more than one tooltip is involved the browser might even crash (and under Vista takes the whole system with him duh). I know it's a bit complicated to explain but I hope that someone at least had heard of that bug and can point me into the right direction.

  • BlackBerry Field class extension will not paint.

    - by jlindenbaum
    Using JRE 5.0.0, simulator device is an 8520. On a screen I am using a FlowFieldManager(Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLL) and adding Fields to it to show data. When I do this.flowManager = new FlowFieldManager(Manager.VERTICAL_SCROLL); Field field = new Field() { protected void paint(Graphics graphics) { graphics.drawTest("Test", 0, 0); } protected void layout(int width, int height) { this.setExtend(300, 300); // just testing } } this.flowManager.add(field); The screen renders correctly and 'Test' appears on the screen. If, on the other hand, I try and abstract this into a class called CustomField with the same properties and add it to the flow manager the render will not happen. Debugging shows that the device enters into the Object, into the layout function, but not the paint function. I can't figure out why the paint function is not called when I extend Field. The 4.5 API says that layout and paint are the only functions that I really need to extend. (getPreferredWidth and getPreferredHeight will be used to calculate screen sizes etc.) Thanks in advance.

  • Popovercontroller doesn't display full

    - by user2959234
    I have an UIPopovercontroller in with an content that generate from an viewcontroller. popOverController = [[UIPopoverController alloc]initWithPopUp:emLightPopUp]; popOverController.delegate = self; // Get device position. CGRect position = {parentButton.frame.origin,emLightPopUp.popUpView.frame.size}; CGSize popUpViewFrameSize = emLightPopUp.popUpView.frame.size; Link screenshot: http://i.stack.imgur.com/AxqoG.png The issue is that when I change the position of select devices (touched button) upwards, the displayed popup will be resized like the screenshot. I already try to set content size inside the subclass of uipopover but it still doesn't work: self.popoverContentSize = emLightPopUp.popUpView.frame.size; EDIT: I solved this problems by calculate the position that display the popup and scroll the scrollview inside into an upper position. Check out this code: -(void)moveDeviceOutMiddleScreen:(id)deviceButton { UIButton* button = (UIButton*)deviceButton; CGFloat yPositionRange = button.frame.origin.y - self.floorZoomScrollView.contentOffset.y; int middle_top_y = 70; int middle_bottom_y = 166; if (yPositionRange > middle_top_y && yPositionRange < middle_bottom_y) { CGRect newRect = CGRectMake(self.floorZoomScrollView.contentOffset.x, self.floorZoomScrollView.contentOffset.y +yPositionRange*0.6, self.floorZoomScrollView.frame.size.width, self.floorZoomScrollView.frame.size.height); [self.floorZoomScrollView scrollRectToVisible:newRect animated:NO]; } } Thanks for your responses.

  • Call a Javascript Function with Jquery

    I have two functions in Javascript: function getWindowWidth(){ var x = 0; if (self.innerHeight){ x = self.innerWidth; }else if (document.documentElement && document.documentElement.clientHeight){ x = document.documentElement.clientWidth; }else if (document.body){ x = document.body.clientWidth; }return x; }function getWindowHeight(){ var y = 0; if (self.innerHeight){ y = self.innerHeight; }else if (document.documentElement && document.documentElement.clientHeight){ y = document.documentElement.clientHeight; }else if (document.body){ y = document.body.clientHeight; } These appear to set the height and width of the document window, based on the size of the window? I could be wrong here.... What I have done is embeded a toolbar above this document, this toolbar can be hidden or shown at various points. I need the above function to be called when I use the following jQuery, $("#Main").animate({top: "89px"}, 200); Any assistance greatly appreciated!

  • What's best performance way to constantly change image on WP7?

    - by AlRodriguez
    I'm trying to make my own type of remote desktop for WP7. I have a WCF service that returns an image on what's on the target machine's screen. Here's the WCF Server Code: // Method to load desktop image Bitmap image = new Bitmap( ViewSize.Width, ViewSize.Height ); Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage( image ); g.CopyFromScreen( Position.X, Position.Y, 0, 0, ViewSize ); g.Dispose( ); return image; // Convert image to byte[] which is returned to client using ( MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream( ) ) { Bitmap image = screenGrabber.LoadScreenImage( ); image.Save( ms, ImageFormat.Jpeg ); imageArray = ms.ToArray( ); } Here's the code for the WP7 client: MemoryStream stream = new MemoryStream( data ); BitmapImage image = new BitmapImage( ); image.SetSource( stream ); BackgroundImage.Source = image; The BackgroundImage variable is an Image control. I'm noticing this freeze on the emulator after a short while, and will eventually crash from an OutOfMemoryException. This is already pretty slow ( images show up a good half second later than what's on the screen ), and I'm wondering if there's a better/faster way of doing this? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.
