    Hi, I am a newbie in powershell. I have a simple powershell script that just replace text but I found that the regex replace turn my multiline data source into a single line text when the output is produced. I want the line breaks to be preserved. Here is the dumb down version of the script. $source=(Get-Content textfile.txt) $process1 = [regex]::Replace($source, "line", "line2") $process1 | out-file -encoding ascii textfile2.txt You can create a test file call textfile.txt with simple lines like this to test it line line Some line More line here Have I missed something obvious?     Hi, I am working on screen scraping and done successfully in 3 websites, I have an issue in last website here is my url, When I hit with my parameter, it is showing result on next page, simply posting to other page and showing the result fine on other page Here is My Test However, when I hit from my application, since here I don't have an option to post, it only fetch html of requested page that is obviously my above mention HTML test link, that actually have parameter in URL to get the result. How can I handle this situtation? Please give me hint.     How can I pass in the current datetime parameter to a SOAP request? I know you can pass in parameters by adding a datasource to the web test project and reference it like this {{DataSource.TableName.FieldName}}. But I want to pass in current datetime parameter as a dynamic value (something like DateTime.Now). How do I go about doing this?     I'm having frequent disconnects with my new install of Ubuntu 12.10. I tried updating the kernel driver to the latest intel release to no avail. My expertise is spent.   • Sporadic name resolution failure happening on web service call

    One of our wcf service applications calls a seperate third party web service to submit information. We are getting the following error every so often, but not all the time: System.Net.WebException: The remote name could not be resolved: 'ws.examplesite.net' at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetRequestStream() at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters) The wierd thing is that after the error happens, we can hit "Submit" again a second later and it will go through just fine. We have checked and double checked with our network guys and they have confirmed that DNS is correct, and they have done multiple nslookups in a row to confirm. This is happening in all environments (dev, test and prod). We use the third party test and prod urls, and it is happening when we point to both. Does anyone have any other trouble shooting techniques for this or any reason this would happen? Much thanks, ~Ansley

I am using James Padolsey's xdomainajax.js plugin from: http://james.padolsey.com/javascript/cross-domain-requests-with-jquery/ When I open my test page, I get no output, but FireBug shows the JSON result, including the error message: "forbidden":"robots.txt for the domain disallows crawling for url: http://qxlapp.dk/projects/dagens_kup/show.php". The robots.txt on the qxlapp.dk domain contains the following: User-agent: Yahoo Pipes 2.0 Allow: / User-agent: * Allow: / So I don't see what the problem is? Shouldn't it pull the page just fine with those settings?

  • Flash CS4 <b> tag in with htmlText

    Wow, this one is really weird. I have the following setup: Two textfields on the stage with Arial normal and Arial bold, both embedded. I then have another textfield which I am setting like so: tb.htmlText = "Test <b>Test</b>"; For some reason, the bold text is not displaying as bold, but as regular weight. I have tried embedding the fonts in the library, using the [Embed] meta tag and even resorted to using CSS to force the fontFamily. Weirdly, I can use Font.enumurateFonts and see both fonts are embedded, but the textfield refused to use the bold version inside the < b tags. I've been told this is a problem with Flash CS4 on a mac and that it will work on PC. I refuse to believe this is the case, however. Surely Adobe would have fixed this by now? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi, Can I rerender a jsf ui component when a valuechangelistener method is run? The reason i'm asking is that my valuechangelistener method changes the values of the input boxes but when I run it, they don't seem to be rerender. The following doesn't work: <h:inputText id="inputbox_id"/> <h:selectOneMenu valueChangeListener="#{myBean.changeCountryMenu}"> <a4j:support event="onchange" rerender="inputbox_id" action="#{bean.test}> </h:selectOneMenu> Notice that bean.test() is never run. I was expecting "ugly" at C:/www/test.pl line 8. If instead I die pp(%ModPerl::ROOT::ModPerl::Registry::C_3a_www_test_2epl::); ...after restarting the service to clear any cached variables, face is not even listed. I could have sworn this code was working the last time I used it...I wrote a whole die hook around this way of naming local variables so that I could get at certain local variables to dump debug information. What's the local namespace?

    Whenever we format a disk volume, it is a good idea to name the label so it will be easier to categorize. To label a volume, we can use LABEL command or UI depends on your preference. Windows CE does provide FAT driver and support various format (FAT12, FAT16,FAT32, ExFAT and TFAT - transaction-safe FAT) and many feature to let you scan and even defrag the volume but not labeling. At any time you format a volume in CE and then mount it on PC, the label is always empty! Of course, you can always label the volume on PC, even it is formatted in CE. So looks like CE does not care about the volume label at all, neither report the label to OS nor changing the label on FAT.So how can we set the volume label in CE? To Answer this question, we need to know how does FAT stores the volume label. Here are some on-line resources are handy for parsing FAT. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_Allocation_Table http://www.pjrc.com/tech/8051/ide/fat32.html http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system/platform/firmware/fatgen.mspx You can refer to PUBLIC\COMMON\OAK\DRIVERS\FSD\FATUTIL\MAIN\bootsec.h and dosbpb.h or the above links for the fields we discuss here. The first sector of a FAT Volume (it is not necessary to be the first sector of a disk.) is a FAT boot sector and BPB (BIOS Parameter Block). And at offset 43, bgbsVolumeLabel (or bsVolumeLabel on FAT16) is for storing the volume lable, but note in the spec also indicates "FAT file system drivers should make sure that they update this field when the volume label file in the root directory has its name changed or created.". So we can't just simply update the bgbsVolumeLabel but also need to create a volume lable file in root directory. The volume lable file is not a real file but just a file entry in root directory with zero file lenth and a very special file attribute, ATTR_VOLUME_ID. (defined in public\common\oak\drivers\fsd\fatutil\MAIN\fatutilp.h) Locating and accessing bootsector is quite straight forward, as long as we know the starting sector of a FAT volume, that's it. But where is the root directory? The layout of a typical FAT is like this Boot sector (Volume ID in the figure) followed by Reserved Sectors (1 on FAT12/16 and 32 on FAT32), then FAT chain table(s) (can be 1 or 2), after that is the root directory (FAT12/16 and not shows in the figure) then begining of the File and Directories. In FAT12/16, the root directory is placed right after FAT so it is not hard to caculate the offset in the volume. But in FAT32, this rule is no longer true: the first cluster of the root directory is determined by BGBPB_RootDirStrtClus (or offset 44 in boot sector). Although this field is usually 0x00000002 (it is how CE initial the root directory after formating a volume. Note we should never assume it is always true) which means the first cluster contains data but not like the root directory is contiguous in FAT12/16, it is just like a regular file can be fragmented. So we need to access the root directory (of FAT32) hopping one cluster to another by traversing FAT table. Let's trace the code now. Although the source of FAT driver is not available in CE Shared Source program, but the formatter, Fatutil.dll, is available in public\common\oak\drivers\fsd\fatutil\MAIN\formatdisk.cpp. Be aware the public code only provides formatter for FAT12/16/32 for ExFAT it is still not available. FormatVolumeInternal is the main worker function. With the knowledge here, you should be able the trace the code easily. But I would like to discuss the following code pieces     dwReservedSectors = (fo.dwFatVersion == 32) ? 32 : 1;     dwRootEntries = (fo.dwFatVersion == 32) ? 0 : fo.dwRootEntries; Note the dwReservedSectors is 32 in FAT32 and 1 in FAT12/16. Root Entries is another different mentioned in previous paragraph, 0 for FAT32 (dynamic allocated) and fixed size (usually 512, defined in DEFAULT_ROOT_ENTRIES in public\common\sdk\inc\fatutil.h) And then here   memset(pBootSec->bsVolumeLabel, 0x20, sizeof(pBootSec->bsVolumeLabel)); It sets the Volume Label as empty string. In FAT12/16, the dwRootSectors is calculated as the sectors we need for the root entries (512 for most of the case) and in FAT32 it just zero out the one cluster. Please note that, if it is a TFAT volume, it initialize the root directory with special volume label entries for some special purpose. Despite to its unusual initialization process for TFAT, it does provide a example for how to create a volume entry. With some minor modification, we can assign the volume label in FAT formatter and also remember to sync the volume label with bsVolumeLabel or bgbsVolumeLabel in boot sector.

Having printed the String to test the "read-in" code, there is an additional space between every character. As I am using the String to generate character bigrams, the spaces are making the sample text useless.   • SSLException: Keystore does not support enabled cipher suites

    I want to implement a small android application, that works as SSL Server. After lot of problems with the right format of the keystore, I solved this and run into the next one. My keystore file is properly loaded by the KeyStore class. But when I try to open the server socket (socket.accept()) the following error is raised: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Could not find any key store entries to support the enabled cipher suites. I generated my keystore with this command: keytool -genkey -keystore test.keystore -keyalg RSA -keypass ssltest -storepass ssltest -storetype BKS -provider org.bouncycastle.jce.provider.BouncyCastleProvider -providerpath bcprov.jar with the Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy for Java SE6 applied to my jre6. I got a list of supported ciphers suites by calling socket.getSupportedCipherSuites() that prints a long list with very different combinations. But I don't know how to get a supported key. I also tried the android debug keystore after converting it to BKS format using portecle but get still the same error. Can anyone help and tell how I can generate a key that is compatible with one of the cipher suites?     Hi, im getting "Bus Error" trying to read stdin into a char* variable. I just want to read whole stuff coming over stdin and put it first into a variable, then continue working on the variable. My Code is as follows: char* content; char* c; while( scanf( "%c", c)) { strcat( content, c); } fprintf( stdout, "Size: %d", strlen( content)); But somehow i always get "Bus error" returned by calling "cat test.txt | myapp", where "myapp" is the compiled code above. My question is how do i read stdin until EOF into a variable? As you see in the code, i just want to print the size of input coming over stdin, in this case it should be equal to the size of the file "test.txt". I thought just using scanf would be enough, maybe buffered way to read stdin?

The question is, where and when is it correct to remove hadler? Do I need to implement the IDisposable interface in the base class and RemoveHandler in Dispose?

  • WPF MenuItem ViewModel Command

    Hi, I am fairly new to WPF and am struggling a little with a scenario. I have a menu which has menu items. When one of these menu items gets clicked a method needs to be called that will do something based upon the text displayed associated with that menu item. So for example, the menu item's content was "test" so I would need to do something with "test". FYI, this "something" directly affects a collection on the ViewModel. This is easy to achieve using the click event and no ViewModel, but I was trying to implement MVVM using an explicit ViewModel. So I started to look into Commands but cannot see how I would pass anything from the View back into the Command in the ViewModel. Any suggestions on what I should be doing here? Thanks
