• Services - Separate Sites or One Site - Impact on SEO

  I have a client who is a lawyer that specializes in Criminal Defense and DUI, however, he does not show up well in Google. In researching the sites that rank better have much more content for those specialties than his site does and my thought it that he needs to add more quality content to rank better for those searches. On his site he mentions his specialties, but also he has various personal things on his sites that reflect his interest. These are clearly separated from the business portion. My questions are should he 1) separate his personal information into a new domain and 2) should he have a separate URL for each of his specialties? OR would one URL work as long as everything is clearly separated? I read once that for legal services to rank well you should make a separate site for each specialty and have that site focus solely on that service.

  I've seen websites that screen programmers by their ability to write code. It's a service that you enter a programming question into and then send out a link. Job candidates program their solution to the question as they are timed and recorded. The person who posted the question can then playback a video of their candidate programming the script. This video allows them to see how quickly and neatly their job candidate can code. Are these types of services worth it?   What is the real benefits of all of these? From what I can understand, HDMI offers the ability to send audio along the same cable as well as the ability to do progressive scan. I've Googled but I can't seem to find any real answers. Why would someone care to run 1280x1024 over HDMI or DVI instead of VGA? What about component? All I hear is one is digital and one is analog, but I can't find what that means from a feature/benefit stand point.

• Splitting CA component off puppet master

  We are scaling our puppet infrastructure and would like to split off the CA component from the puppet master server to another server. Part of the change involves a servername change for the puppetmaster too. I'm no puppet expert but i'm at a point where I -think- we need to create a SAN cert with both the old and new names in it (to be safe), and then re-sign all the agent nodes all over again which is going to be a royal PITA. Is there a quicker/smarter way to do this? We already have hundreds of agent nodes out there and individually re-signing them will be an arduous task.

  Hello, I have a strange cord that has a male 3.5mm headphone jack on one side, and some component video and audio ouputs on the other. When I plug the headphone side into my computer, and the other side into my TV, I get audio across the cable, but no video. How can I send some video over the headphone jack in OS X? I know you can, because this cable is actually for a Beyblade toy and it somehow transferred video over this cable. Thanks, Isaac I think I found some more information (from Wikipedia:) "A four conductor version (of a 3.5mm headphone jack) is becoming a de facto standard output connector for compact camcorders, providing stereo sound plus a video signal." So how can I do this on Mac?
