  • Implementing hoverIntent for Drop Down Menu (coming from click_event)

    I've just recently started programming, I was hoping for some help. I have a drop down menu that was originally activated by click_event, however I want to now implement hoverIntent in order to make the menu drop. The issue I am having now is being able to use the menu, because whenever I invoke the menu now, once I leave the area that activates the menu, the menu closes.     I am trying to push elements to an array. for (a=0; a < test.length; a++){ if(this.testnumber != test[a].number){ //it will only loop 8 times under conditional statement group = { title: test.Title , ID: test.ID, contents: [] }; this.company.push(group); this.testnumber = test.number[a]; } //outside of if conditional statement.. it will loop 15 times //i want every test[a].conetents get pushed to group.contents array. //this.company is the final variable I need for this function... group.contents.push(test[a].contents); } However, when I do console.log(this.company); I see 8 elmements with only 1 element in each group.contents array The ideal situation is to have 8 elements with 2 to 3 elements in the group.contents array I hope I explain my situation well.     Hi All, Im having a bit of trouble getting my JSON to be recognised by my web page. I have validated JSON that im getting returned from server, so i know that is correct, however my javascript function is not doing anything with it.     Based on a variable SomeCondition, I need to intercept a click event on a button, and ask for confirmation, if they say ok, proceed, otherwise ignore click. So something like: if(SomeCondition) { // disable click on button var isOk = window.confirm("Are you sure?"); if(isOk) { $("#button1").click(); } } Note: button1 has already been wired up with a click event via javascript from an external .js file that I can't change. I don't know what the click event was bound too, so I have to disable the click if SomeCondition is true, then ask for confirmation, then continue with the click.

    I have images being dynamically added to a page, I don't seem to be able to get the 'load' event working dynamically with live(). This is the code I currently have: $('#largeImg' + nextUniqueItemID).hide(); $('#largeImg' + nextUniqueItemID).live('load' , function() { $('#loader' + nextUniqueItemID).hide(); $('#largeImg' + nextUniqueItemID).show(); }); with '#largeImg' + nextUniqueItemID being an image that was added to the page earlier in the function and '#largeImg' + nextUniqueItemID being a loading image. I feel as if I may be misusing "live" as it doesn't really need a listener but to trigger the event immediately.

Now i created a function to fetch the list from a mysql table. $.get('get_zorgvormen.php', function(data) { var zvmlist = '{'+data+'}'; //alert(zvmlist); }); when i enable the alert function it shows me the var(array).     I need to return multiple values from a ColdFusion function in an ajax callback function. I need the function to also pass back other values. One might be the primary key of the row that caused the error. Another might be the old StateName, so that I can refresh the old value on the screen so that the client will know absolutely for sure that their change did not take effect. I guess I'm breaking the rule of atomicity here and need to fix that, because I'm using result as both the primary key of the row that was updated, or it's the error message if the update fails. I need to return both the primary key and the error message.
