  • Redirect to show ModelAndView from another Controller - (Spring 3 MVC, Hibernate 3)???

    - by Mimi
How exactly can I trigger display of a model and view from another model and view’s controller? [B][COLOR="Blue"]HTTP Request View -- HttpRequestController POST - new HttpResponse POJO and a string of the POJO in XML as an Http Response msg to be sent back to the Requestor --[/COLOR][/B] [B][COLOR="Red"][/COLOR][/B] I have HttpRequestController() to handle a POST message with data from an input Form and populated an HttpRequest POJO with it. An HttpResponse POJO is composed and persisted along with the HttpRequest to a Db. I made this HttResponse POJO an XML string as the @Responsebody to be sent back by the HttpRequestController() (as an actual HTTP Response message with header and body) and I want to present this HttpResponse POJO in a View. I tried different things, none worked and I could not find a similar example anywhere.

  • Java type for date/time when using Oracle Date with Hibernate

    - by Marcus
We have a Oracle Date column. At first in our Java/Hibernate class we were using java.sql.Date. This worked but it didn't seem to store any time information in the database when we save so I changed the Java data type to Timestamp. Now we get this error: springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'org.springframework.dao.an notation.PersistenceExceptionTranslationPostProcessor#0' defined in class path resource [margin-service-domain -config.xml]: Initialization of bean failed; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreatio nException: Error creating bean with name 'sessionFactory' defined in class path resource [m-service-doma in-config.xml]: Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is org.hibernate.HibernateException: Wrong column type: CREATE_TS, expected: timestamp Any ideas on how to map an Oracle Date while retaining the time portion? Update: I can get it to work if I use the Oracle Timestamp data type but I don't want that level of precision ideally. Just want the basic Oracle Date.

  • google book api

    - by ohana
hi, i need to add google's book preview button in my web app. I tried Google Book Search APIs, and used their dynamic links, and added the following in my jquery code: var cburl = "http://books.google.com/books"; var api_url = cburl + "?jscmd=viewapi&bibkeys=" + "0321525566"; document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src=" + api_url + " type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E")); from firebug, i can see google responsed: var _GBSBookInfo = {"0321525566":{"bib_key":"0321525566","info_url":"http://books.google.com/books?id=VBRePgAACAAJ\u0026source=gbs_ViewAPI","preview_url":"http://books.google.com/books?id=VBRePgAACAAJ\u0026cd=1\u0026source=gbs_ViewAPI","thumbnail_url":"http://bks4.books.google.com/books?id=VBRePgAACAAJ\u0026printsec=frontcover\u0026img=1\u0026zoom=5\u0026sig=ACfU3U2i79GUit7BKFSvfvuZ1daX4EpZjg","preview":"noview","embeddable":false}}; however jquery complaint 'No _GBSBookInfo is defined'. then i tried jquery's ajax as blow instead of Document.write(): $.ajax({ url:api_url, success: function(_GBSBookInfo) { alert(_GBSBookInfo); alert('load was performed'); } }); still got the same complaint...anyone can help?

  • Security behaviour in Adobe Air

    - by t.stamm
Hi everyone! I am trying to load external SWFs in my Adobe AIR App. The loaded SWF is trying to access an URL to retrieve some informations via XML. When starting the SWF by itself it works fine. When loading the SWF from the File.applicationStorageDirectory i will get an Security-Error because the loaded App is executed in a local-with-filesystem Sandbox appareantly. First Question: Is there a way to change this? That the loaded SWF is running in a network Sandbox? Since that first attempt didn't worked i've moved the SWF to the app:// directory. Now i'll get a Security-Error because there is no policy file on the Server available where the XML data should be retrieved. Second Question: Why is the policy file not necessary when running the SWF by itself, but is necessary when trying to load the data from the application Sandbox? What am i doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

  • Dynamically populate an InfoPath DropownList with managed code

    - by Jared
I have an InfoPath form with custom C# code, and a Sharepoint list. I have a dropdownlist in the InfoPath form that I want to populate with a certain field from the Sharepoint list (I want the InfoPath dropdownlist to contain this field's value from every item in the Sharepoint list. I can successfully get the list of values I need from Sharepoint in my managed code, but I do not see how I can get these values into the dropdownlist (either bind to the list, or add each item in the list one by one). I thought I could modify the XML of the dropdownlist to insert my items, but the XML only contains the first item in the dropdownlist: <my:RelatedRiskID xmlns:my="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/myXSD/2009-07-20T18:12:59">Option 1</my:RelatedRiskID> I feel like this should be possible, but I can't find any resources on how to do it. Thanks in advance for the help. Jared

  • Hibernate annotations cascading doesn't work

    - by user304309
    Hi all, I've decided to change hbm.xml style to annotations using hibernate. I had in my hbm.xml: <hibernate-mapping package="by.sokol.jpr.data"> <class name="Licence"> <id name="licenceId"> <generator class="native" /> </id> <many-to-one name="user" lazy="false" cascade="save-update" column="usr"/> </class> </hibernate-mapping> And changed it to: @Entity public class Licence { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) private int licenceId; @ManyToOne(targetEntity=User.class, fetch=FetchType.EAGER, cascade = CascadeType.ALL) @Cascade(value = { org.hibernate.annotations.CascadeType.SAVE_UPDATE }) private User user; } And hibernate doesn't save user on saving. I really need help!

  • Tutorial for Quick Look Generator for Mac

    - by vgm64
I've checked out Apple's Quick Look Programming Guide: Introduction to Quick Look page in the Mac Dev Center, but as a more of a science programmer rather than an Apple programmer, it is a little over my head (but I could get through it in a weekend if I bash my head against it long enough). Does anyone know of a good basic Quick Look Generators tutorial that is simple enough for someone with only very modest experience with Xcode? For those that are curious, I have a filetype called .evt that has an xml header and then binary info after the header. I'm trying to write a generator to display the xml header. There's no application bundle that it belongs to. Thanks!

  • How to get scrollTop of page afer browser scrolled such page?

    - by Marco Demaio
I know how to get the scrollTop of a page, I use this simple JS function (code copied around): function GetScrolledTop() { //I never work in IE quirkmode, I always use DOCTYPE as 1st line, so I don't need to test for document.body.scrollTop return self['pageYOffset'] || document.documentElement.scrollTop; } This works and my problem is the following: I tried to add it in the page onload event <body onload="alert(GetScrolledTop());"> On page load I get ZERO (which make sense), but the problem is that I get ZERO even if I scroll the page and then reload it without touching the scrollbar. It seems like the browser does: loads page calls my GetScrolledTop() (so obviously shows ZERO) then scrolls the page to where it was before. Do you know how to get the scolledTop after the step 3? I mean how to get the scrolledTop AFTER the browser scrolled the page? (maybe without using a timer) Thanks!

  • Copied Netbeans IDE Maven Web project failes to compile

    - by Quaternion
If I am going to make serious changes to my project I like to make a copy (right click project and select copy). I have created copies of my projects many times (maven web applications included) without issue. Now all I do is copy the project making no changes, leaving the copy settings on default (project name etc) and then try to run it and spring decides to take issue with it. Again I try running the original and it works. I deleted the faulty copy, restarted and tried again and still it does not work. Here are my maven/system details: Apache Maven 2.2.1 (rdebian-4) Java version: 1.6.0_20 Java home: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre Default locale: en_CA, platform encoding: UTF-8 OS name: "linux" • Firefox logs invalid URL?

    - by thanks for help
I'm writing an extension for firefox. Using dom.location to keep track of visited search results pages, i'm getting this url http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=hi&aq=f&aqi=&oq=&fp=642c18fb4411ca2e . If you click it, the google search results for "hi" should come up. You'll know that from the title bar - because the rest of the page won't load. This happens with any google search. Oddly enough, if you cut part of it off, so say, http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=hi - it works! But Googling "hi" myself does give me a longish URL - http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=hi&aq=f&aqi=&oq=&fp=db658cc5049dc510 . I know for a fact that the first time that URL was visited, the page loaded, I did it myself. Can anyone make reason out of this? I just tried my experiment again, this time saving the original URL in the location bar. It turns out, dom.location.href is giving a different value. How is this happening? Original: http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=hi&aq=f&aqi=&oq=&fp=642c18fb4411ca2e dom.location.href http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=hi&aq=f&aqi=&oq=&fp=642c18fb4411ca2e window.addEventListener("load", function() { myExtension.init(); }, false); var myExtension = { init: function() { var appcontent = document.getElementById("appcontent"); // browser if(appcontent) appcontent.addEventListener("DOMContentLoaded", myExtension.onPageLoad, true); var messagepane = document.getElementById("messagepane"); // mail if(messagepane) messagepane.addEventListener("load", function () { myExtension.onPageLoad(); }, true); }, onPageLoad: function(aEvent) { var doc = aEvent.originalTarget; // doc is document that triggered "onload" event // do something with the loaded page. // doc.location is a Location object (see below for a link). // You can use it to make your code executed on certain pages only. var url = doc.location.href; if (url.match(/(?:p|q)(?:=)([^%]*)/)) {alert("MATCH" + url);resultsPages.push(url);} else {alert(url); } } This snippet comes directly from Mozilla with the matching and alerts my own. I apologize for not posting the code earlier.

  • Spring ROO issue with UrlRewrite in STS (eclipse)

    - by user224270
    Hi. I'm having trouble figuring out how to solve this issue. I have a file called: "urlrewrite.xml" which was automatically generated by spring ROO after running the "controller" command in ROO Shell. However, I still get the following error: "Referenced file contains errors (http://tuckey.org/res/dtds/urlrewrite3.0.dtd). For more information, right click on the message in the Problems View and select "Show Details..." Here's the content of the urlrewrite.xml file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <!DOCTYPE urlrewrite PUBLIC "-//tuckey.org//DTD UrlRewrite 3.0//EN" "http://tuckey.org/res/dtds/urlrewrite3.0.dtd"> <urlrewrite default-match-type="wildcard"> <rule> <from>/resources/**</from> <to last="true">/resources/$1</to> </rule> <rule> <from>/static/WEB-INF/**</from> <set type="status">403</set> <to last="true">/static/WEB-INF/$1</to> </rule> <rule> <from>/static/**</from> <to last="true">/$1</to> </rule> <rule> <from>/</from> <to last="true">/app/index</to> </rule> <rule> <from>/app/**</from> <to last="true">/app/$1</to> </rule> <rule> <from>/**</from> <to>/app/$1</to> </rule> <outbound-rule> <from>/app/**</from> <to>/$1</to> </outbound-rule> </urlrewrite> Any thoughts on how to get rid of this error?

  • Converting HTML to its safe entities with Javascript

    - by James P
I'm trying to convert characters like < and > into &lt; and &gt; etc. User input is taken from a text box, and then copied into a DIV called changer. here's my code: function updateChanger() { var message = document.getElementById('like').value; message = convertHTML(message); document.getElementById('changer').innerHTML = message; } function convertHTML(input) { input = input.replace('<', '&lt;'); input = input.replace('>', '&gt;'); return input; } But it doesn't seem to replace >, only <. Also tried like this: input = input.replace('<', '&lt;').replace('>', '&gt;'); But I get the same result. Can anyone point out what I'm doing wrong here? Cheers.

  • Unique ID for WORD2007 paragraph

    - by Ganish
Hello, I am writing large WORD2007 socuments, which are often being changed. I ahve to number paragraphs with stationary unique unmbers, that will not change while changing the documents. The numbers should be unique, and will not change even if previous numbers are deleted. The order of the list is not mandatory, and addition of a new number before existing numbers is possible (for instance: the sequence 1, 4, 3 means that paragraphs 1-3 were written, then #2 was deleted, then #5 was added. #3 was not affected by the later editing) The mechanism should be internal to the document, as I am working on line and off line. The numbers are allocated to every document indovidually. Since I don't know to program under WORD, I'd appreciate getting complete solution. REgards Ganish

  • How to use Selenium Grid???

    - by user300591
Hi All, I'm researching Selenium and have a seminar for my group... I meet many troubles with this I use C# language and write a demo SeleniumExample.dll Then i start selenium RC and NUnit and run it with nUnit to see the test report. I read testdata from xml. Here's the SeleniumExample.dll: using System; using System.Xml; using System.Text; using System.Text.RegularExpressions; using System.Threading; using NUnit.Framework; using Selenium; namespace SeleniumExample { public class Success_Login { //User defined private string strURL = "http://newtours.demoaut.com/ mercurywelcome.php"; private string[] strBrowser = new string[3] { "*iehta", "*firefox", "*safari" }; // System defined private ISelenium selenium; private StringBuilder verificationErrors ; [SetUp] public void SetupTest() { selenium = new DefaultSelenium("localhost", 4444, this.strBrowser[0], this.strURL); selenium.Start(); verificationErrors = new StringBuilder(); } [TearDown] public void TeardownTest() { try { selenium.Stop(); } catch (Exception) { // Ignore errors if unable to close the browser } Assert.AreEqual("", verificationErrors.ToString()); } [Test] public void Success_LoginTest() { try { XmlDocument doc = new XmlDocument(); XmlNode docNode; doc.Load("XMLFile1.xml"); docNode = doc["TestCase"]; foreach (XmlNode node in docNode) { selenium.Open("/"); selenium.Type("userName", node["username"].InnerText); selenium.Type("password", node["password"].InnerText); selenium.Click("login"); selenium.WaitForPageToLoad("30000"); Assert.AreEqual("Find a Flight: Mercury Tours:", selenium.GetTitle()); } } catch (AssertionException e) { verificationErrors.Append(e.Message); } } } } Now I wan to have a demo that using Selenium Grid (SG) but i dont know how to do. I read document and understand the way SG works. I install SG and install Ant1.8. The tests will communicate with Selenium Hub. Actually, I just understand the theory i dont know how to make the tests communicate with Selenium Hub and how to make Selenium Hub control Selenium RC. I am a new for Selenium. • Why is android:FLAG_BLUR_BEHIND creating a gradient background in my new activity instead of bluring

    - by nderraugh
Hi, I've got two activities. One is supposed to be a blur in front of the other. The background activity has several ImageViews which are set up as thin gradients extending across most of the screen and 10dip high. When I start the second activity it sets the background as a gradient occupying the entire window space, that is it appears to be fill_parent'd for both height and width. If I comment out the ImageViews then it blurs and looks as expected. Any thoughts? Here's the code doing the blur. import android.app.Activity; import android.os.Bundle; import android.view.View; import android.view.WindowManager; import android.view.View.OnClickListener; public class TransluscentBlurSummaryB extends Activity { @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle icicle) { super.onCreate(icicle); getWindow().setFlags(WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_BLUR_BEHIND, WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_BLUR_BEHIND); getWindow().getAttributes().dimAmount = 0.5f; getWindow().setFlags(WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_DIM_BEHIND, WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_DIM_BEHIND); setContentView(R.layout.sheetbdetails); OnClickListener clickListener = new OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View v) { TransluscentBlurSummaryB.this.finish(); } }; findViewById(R.id.sheetbdetailstable).setOnClickListener(clickListener); } } And here's the layout with the ImageView gradients. <?xml version="1.0" • jquery selector problem with script tags

    - by Tauren
I'm attempting to select all <script type="text/html"> tags in a page. I use <script> tags to store HTML templates, similar to how John Resig does it. For some reason, the following jquery selector doesn't seem to be selecting anything: $("script[type*=html]").each(function() { alert("Found script "+this.id); }); This markup is in the BODY of the HTML document: <body> <script id="filter-search" type="text/html"> <dt>Search</dt> <dd><input type="text"/></dd> </script> </body> I've also tried putting it into the HEAD of the HTML document, and it is still not found. No alert is ever shown. If I instead change my code to this: $("script[type*=javascript]").each(function() { alert("Found script "+this.id); }); Then it finds only the scripts in the HEAD that have a src to an external file. Scripts in the actual page are not found. For instance, with the following in HEAD: <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.js" id="jquery"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-ui.js" id="ui"></script> <script type="text/javascript" id="custom"> $(document).ready( function() { $("script[type*=javascript]").each(function() { alert("Found script "+this.id); }); $("script[type*=html]").each(function() { alert("Found TEMPLATE script "+this.id); }); }); </script> <script id="filter-test" type="text/html"> <dt>Test</dt> </script> </head> <body> <script id="filter-search" type="text/html"> <dt>Search</dt> <dd><input type="text"/></dd> </script> </body> I get the following alerts: Found script jquery Found script ui The custom and filter-test scripts in the HEAD are not selected, nor is the filter-search script in the body tag. Is this the expected behavior? Why does this not work? I can work around it, but it is annoying that it doesn't work.

  • Outputting Javascript from PHP?

    - by Aristotle
Are there any libraries or tools specifically designed to help PHP programmers write Javascript? Essentially, converting the PHP logic into Javascript logic. For instance: $myFoo = $document->getElementById("foo"); $myFoo->value = "Hello World"; Being converted into the following output: var myFoo = document.getElementById("foo"); myFoo.value = "Hello World"; Of course it would be excellent if more complicated solutions could be derived too, perhaps converting objects and internal methods into javascript-objects, etc.

  • JavaScript: Keeping track of eventListeners on DOM elements

    - by bobthabuilda
What is the best way to keep track of eventListener functions on DOM elements? Should I add a property to the element which references the function like this: var elem = document.getElementsByTagName( 'p' )[0]; function clickFn(){}; elem.listeners = { click: [clickFn, function(){}] }; elem.addEventListener( 'click', function(e){ clickFn(e); }, false ); Or should I store it in my own variable in my code like below: var elem = document.getElementsByTagName( 'p' )[0]; function clickFn(){}; // Using window for the sake of brevity, otherwise I wouldn't =D // DOM elements and their listeners are referenced here in a paired array window.listeners = [elem, { click: [clickFn, function(){}] }]; elem.addEventListener( 'click', function(e){ clickFn(e); }, false ); Obviously the second method would be less obtrusive, but it seems it could get intensive iterating through all those possibilities. Which is the best way and why? Is there a better way?
