  • How to prevent users to change url parameter in PHP?

    - by Sachin
    I am developing a site where I am sending parameters like ids by url. I have used urlencode and base64encode to encode the parameters. My problem is that how can I prevent the users or hackers to play with url paramenters Or give access only if the parameter value is exist in database? I have at least 2 and at most 5 parameter in url so is this feasible to check every parameter is exist in database on every page? Thanks

I basically have a search bar that i want it to search in both of the fields in both of the tables. (the two fields being called "Name" and "Location" SO far I have $sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM Cottages WHERE Name LIKE '%$term%' or Location LIKE '%$term%' LIMIT 0, 30"); But this only searches the Cottages table, how can I make it search both the cottages and hotel tables? • transforming flat php array into multidimensional one based on key value?

    - by PopRocks4344
    I have a flat array that I'm trying to make multidimensional. Basically, I want to find the items that have parents and create a subarray for that parent id. Right now (and this is simplified), it looks like this: Array ( [0] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 1 [parent] => 0 [name ] => Parent1 ) [1] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 7 [parent] => 1 [name] => Child1 ) [2] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 9 [parent] => 1 [name] => Child2 ) [3] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 2 [parent] => 0 [name ] => Parent2 ) [4] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 88 [parent] => 2 [name] => Childof2 ) ) I'm trying to make this: Array ( [0] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 1 [parent] => 0 [name ] => Parent1 [children] => stdClass Object ( [1] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 7 [parent] => 1 [name] => Child1 ) [2] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 9 [parent] => 1 [name] => Child2 ) ) ) [1] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 2 [parent] => 0 [name ] => Parent2 [children] => stdClass Object ( [0] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 88 [parent] => 2 [name] => Childof2 ) ) ) )

  • jQuery slider to load content one at a time

    - by Barrett
    I have a slider that load all of my content at once. Into a div. Like so: external page.php $get_users = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM user WHERE id!='$user_id'"); while ($rows = mysql_fetch_assoc($get_users)) { $id = $rows['id']; $firstname = $rows['firstname']; $display_info .= ' <div class="f_outer" id="' . $id . '"> <div class="f_name likeu">' . $firstname . '</div> </div>'; } echo $display_info; I call this page from my find.php page using bxslider Here is my find.php page below. <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { var slider = $("#slider1").bxSlider(); $("#slider-like").live('click', function() { slider.goToNextSlide(); return false; }); }); </script> <div id="slider-like>Yes</div> <div id="slider1"> <?PHP include ("external.php"); ?> </div> So what I get is all of my .f_outer div on the find.php page. I have hundreds of user and they will all be loaded at once. I would like to only load one slide at a time. So when I click #slider-like it load one of my dive from my external page.

  • How do I extract info from a block of URLs in php?

    - by Jack
    I have a list of urls, which can come in any format. One per line, separated by commas, have random text in between them, etc. the URLs are all from 2 different sites, and have a similar structure For this example, lets say it looks like this Random Text - http://www.domain2.com/variable-value Random Text 2 - http://www.domain1.com/variable-value, http://www.domain1.com/variable-value, http://www.domain1.com/variable-value http://www.domain1.com/variable-value http://www.domain2.com/variable-value http://www.domain1.com/variable-value http://www.domain2.com/variable-value http://www.domain1.com/variable-value I need to extract 2 pieces of information. Check to see if its domain1 or domain2 and the value that follows "variable-" So it should create a multi-dimensional array, which would have 2 items: domain + value. Whats the best way of doing that?

  • Why did I get a 400 Bad Request when getting a page with PHP Curl?

    - by user307272
    Hi, I was trying to access a page using curl. I could access it perfectly using the browser and using "static" strings as the URL, like: $url = "http://www.example.com/?q=1234" But when I tried to access the page using a variable in the URL string like: $url = "http://www.example.com/?q=$param" I got a 400 error code. I checked out on the web and found some comments here in this stackoverflow thread: Then, just for curiosity I did the following: $url = "http://www.example.com/?q=" . trim($param); and it worked! And no, $param did NOT contain any spaces. To me, it seems that it can be some encoding error, but I really can't find an explanation for it. Does anyone here in stackoverflow know what it can possibly be? Thanks in advance :)

    - by David

'.$num.'<BR>'; } round_to_sf(41918.522, 1); Produces the following output: 4.1918522 -0 How can the result of a computation be different when it's assigned to a variable?

  • How should I lay-out my PHP login class?

    - by ThinkingInBits
    So, there is going to be one login form; however 1 of 3 types of members will be signing in member_type_a, member_type_b, member_type_c all of whom have some of the same properties, and some whom may have specific methods and/or properties to them. I want the class to be saved to a session variable for use with member area pages. Any suggestions on applicable design patterns?
