  I have written a very simple WCF service (hosted in IIS) and web application that talks to it. If they are both in the same domain, it works fine. But when I put them in different domains (on different sides of a firewall), then the web applications says: The request for security token could not be satisfied because authentication failed. • App crashes after a few seconds

  I am new to Hibernate world. It may be a silly question, but I am not able to solve it. I am testing many to One relationship of tables and trying to insert record. I have a Department table and Employee table. Employee and Dept has many to One relationship here. I am using Fluent NHibernate to add records. All codes below. • How to solve a deallocated connection in iPhone SDK 3.1.3? - Streams - CFSockets

  Hi everyone, Debugging my implementation I found a memory leak issue. I know where is the issue, I tried to solve it but sadly without success. I will try to explain you, maybe someone of you can help with this. First I have two classes involved in the issue, the publish class (where publishing the service and socket configuration is done) and the connection (where the socket binding and the streams configuration is done). The main issue is in the connection via native socket. In the 'publish' class the "server" accepts a connection with a callback. The callback has the native-socket information. Then, a connection with native-socket information is created. Next, the socket binding and the streams configuration is done. When those actions are successful the instance of the connection is saved in a mutable array. But when the callback-handler tries to use this connection the error occurs, it says that such connection is deallocated. The issue here is that I don't know where/when the connection is deallocated and how to know it. • Deserializing Metafile

  I have an application that works with Enhanced Metafiles. I am able to create them, save them to disk as .emf and load them again no problem. I do this by using the gdi32.dll methods and the DLLImport attribute. However, to enable Version Tolerant Serialization I want to save the metafile in an object along with other data. This essentially means that I need to serialize the metafile data as a byte array and then deserialize it again in order to reconstruct the metafile. The problem I have is that the deserialized data would appear to be corrupted in some way, since the method that I use to reconstruct the Metafile raises a "Parameter not valid exception". At the very least the pixel format and resolutions have changed. Code use is below. The saved file is then deserialized again using a BinaryFormatter and the dataArray retrieved from the object. If this same method is used to save the original Metafile before it is serialized everything is OK. So something is happening to the data during serialization/deserializtion. Indeed if I check the Metafile properties in the debugger I can see that the ImageFlags, PropertyID, resolution and pixelformats change. Original Format32bppRgb changes to Format32bppArgb Original Resolution 81 changes to 96 I've trawled though google and SO and this has helped me get this far but Im now stuck. Does any one have enough experience with Metafiles / serialization to help..? EDIT: If I serialize/deserialize the byte array directly (without embedding in another object) I get the same problem.

• Error when pushing to Heroku - StatementInvalid - Ruby on Rails

  I am trying to deploy my first rails app to Heroku and seem to be having a problem. After git push heroku master I get an error saying that relation "tags does not exist. I understand that without knowledge of my application it will be hard to help but I am wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I have checked the schema.rb file and also been over all my migrations and there doesn't seem to be a problem there. The error message lead me to believe that I left something out of my routes.rb file but can't seem to find anything there either. Perhaps just some help deciphering this message.   Has anyone been able to communicate using WCF on Windows Phone Series 7 emulator? I've been trying for the past two days and it's just happening for me. I can get a normal Silverlight control to work in both Silverlight 3 and Silverlight 4, but not the phone version. I've downloaded and used Metro to generate Java proxy classes, but they aren't generating what I expect, and I believe this is because of the WSDL that the WCF service generates. Since this service has always worked in Visual Studio I've never questioned this before, but maybe that could be causing my problem? Anyhow, when I run Metro's wsimport.bat on the service the following error message is generated: [WARNING] src-resolve.4.2: Error resolving component 'q1:guid' and the outputted Java version of TestResponse lacks any of the properties from ResponseMessage. I hacked the WSDL a bit and changed ErrorIdentifier to be typed as xsd:string, which makes the message about resolving the GUID type go away, but I still don't get any of ResponseMessage's properties. Finally, I altered the WSDL to include the 3 properties from ResponseMessage in TestResponse, and of course the end result is that the generated .java file contains them. However, when I actually call the WCF service from Java, those 3 properties are always null. Any advice, apart from writing the proxy classes myself?

It uses PHP to upload the files and sends back a status message which gets displayed in a status box to the user. • Unable to host WCF service correctly in IIS7

  I have a WCF Service library written in .NET 4.0. I have a WCF application (in order to host this service in IIS) within the same solution. It contains the WCF library assembly reference and a service.svc file pointing to the service from the library along with a web.config that is a replica of the WCF service library's app.config. The WCF application is set to host the service in IIS7 (the virtual directory has been set). The same solution contains an ASP.NET Webforms solution to which I have added a service reference pointing to the WCF service I hosted in IIS (as mentioned). When i start an instance of this ASP.NET Web application, I get a message saying that "The WCF service has been hosted" and the ASP.NET application can access the data from it correctly. However, when i try and access this data via a service reference added to an MVC 2 Web Application on the same machine in a different solution (pointing to the service hosted in IIS), I get a "The remote server returned an error: (405) Method Not Allowed." protocol exception . However, the MVC application is able to access the service data if I manually invoke an instance of the WCF Application that I was using to host the WCF Service Library from the other solution. I am using VS2010 Beta 2 as my development IDE. I have been stuck with this issue for a while now. Any help would be appreciated. • Single DispatcherServlet with Multiple Controllers

  I am trying to create some restful web services using Spring MVC 3.0. I currently have an issue that only 1 of my 2 controllers will work at any given time. As it turns out, whichever class comes first when sorted alphabetically will work properly. The error I get is: handleNoSuchRequestHandlingMethod No matching handler method found for servlet request: path '/polinq.xml', method 'GET', parameters map[[empty]] I had a very simliar message earlier also, except instead of the map being empty it was something like map[v--String(array)] Regardless of the message though, currently the LocationCovgController works and the PolicyInquiryController doesn't. If I change the change of the PolicyInquiryController to APolicyInquiryController, then it will start funcitoning properly and the LocationCovgController will stop working. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.   I want to know as to how to configure known types in WCF. For example, I have a Person class and an Employee class. The Employee class is a sublass of the Person class. Both class are marked with a [DataContract] attribute. I dont want to hardcode the known type of a class, like putting a [ServiceKnownType(typeof(Employee))] at the Person class so that WCF will know that Employee is a subclass of Person. Now, I added to the host's App.config the following XML configuration: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <system.runtime.serialization> <dataContractSerializer> <declaredTypes> <add type="Person, WCFWithNoLibrary, Version=1.0.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=null"> <knownType type="Employee, WCFWithNoLibrary, Version=1.0.0.0,Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null" /> </add> </declaredTypes> </dataContractSerializer> </system.runtime.serialization> <system.serviceModel> ....... </system.serviceModel> </configuration> I compiled it, run the host, added a service reference at the client and added some code and run the client. The InnerException message was 'Error in line 1 position 247. Element 'http://www.herbertsabanal.net:person' contains data of the 'http://www.herbertsabanal.net/Data:Employee' data contract. • How do I send an email with embedded images AND regular attachments in JavaMail?

  Hi, I'd like to know how to build an SMTP multipart message in the correct order so that it will render correctly on the iPhone mail client (rendering correctly in GMail). I'm using Javamail to build up an email containing the following parts: A body part with content type "text/html; UTF-8" An embedded image attachment. A file attachment I am sending the mail via GMail SMTP (via SSL) and the mail is sent and rendered correctly using a GMail account, however, the mail does not render correctly on the iPhone mail client. On the iPhone mail client, the image is rendered before the "Before Image" text when it should be rendered afterwards. After the "Before Image" text there is an icon with a question mark (I assume it means it couldn't find the referenced CID). I'm not sure if this is a limitation of the iPhone mail client or a bug in my mail sending code (I strongly assume the latter). I think that perhaps the headers on my parts might by incorrect or perhaps I am providing the multiparts in the wrong order. I tried to enter some break points around the code, and found out that the "value" in attribute is always null when the date is incorrect, but always gets a value if the date is in correct format. The same ( value == null) is passed also in the code generated by the designer. This thing is driving me nuts. Please can anyone help me deal with this? Also if someone can tell me where exactly is the point of entry from the view to the database. Is it related to the model binder? because i wanted to check exactly what value is passed once i press the "submit" button. Thank you.

  I have a business requirement that I filter a boolean value in my ngGrid. The filter has three states: only true, only false and both. Filtering like this seems to be a common enough use case that I should refactor that functionality out of my code for re use (possibly in a directive/filter?). I'd like to know how I can go about pulling out the customFilter function in my controller and make it so that I can pass the filter a property name on which to filter, and a value for selectedFilterOption. The code currently works, but I feel like this is a good chance to get better at angular :). • BroadcastReceiver not reading stored value from SharedPreferences

  In my app I have a broadcast receiver that turns on GPS upon receiving a set string of text. In the onLocationChanged method, I want to pass the GPS data and a value from my shared preferences to a thread in a string. I have the thread writing to log and can see all the GPS values in the string but the last value from my shared preferences is just showing up as 'prefPhoneNum' which I initialised the string to at the beginning of the receiver class. • How to use pipes for nonblocking IPC (UART emulation)

  I would like to write some test/emulation code that emulates a serial port connection. The real code looks like this: DUT <- UART - testtool.exe My plan is to use create a test application (CodeUnderTest.out) on linux that forks to launch testool.out with two (read & write) named pipes as arguments. But I cannot figure out how to make all the pipe IO non-blocking! The setup would look like this:. CodeUnderTest.out <- named pipes - testTool.out (lauched from CodeUnderTest.out) I have tried opening the pipes as following: open(wpipe,O_WRONLY|O_NONBLOCK); open(rpipe,O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK); But the write blocks until the reader opens the wpipe. Next I tried the following: open(wpipe,O_RDWR|O_NONBLOCK); open(rpipe,O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK); But then the reader of the first message never gets any data (doesn't block though) I also tried adding open and close calls around each message, but that didn't work either... At bullet point 8 in that tutorial it shows this image, which is what I should be expecting when I build: However this isn't what I get when I build. But why am I getting this extra build fail? It may also be of note that when downloading solutions/templates which should work out the box, I get the same error. I'm guessing I've set something up wrong here but I've just followed a tutorial 100% correctly!! If anyone could help I'd be very grateful! Thanks EDIT: According to this blog, this post and a few other websites, I'm not the only one getting this problem. It has been like this since the release of xCode 3.2, assuming the apple dev center documents and tutorials etc are pre-3.2 as well. However some say its a known issue whereas others seem to think this was intentional. I for one would like both the extended console and in code messages, and I certainly do not like the "Command /bin/sh..." error and really think they would have documented such an update. Hopefully it will be fixed soon anyway. UPDATE: Here's confirmation it's something changed since the release of xCode 3.2.1. This image: is from my test build using 3.2.1. A week ago, the WAR file produced by Rational Application Developer could be installed on the Portal server with no problems. Yesterday I made some seemingly minor changes to two JSP files and their associated "pagecode" Java files, and attempting to update the WAR on the server (using the Portal Administration web interface) now produces an error message. The WAR upload works, and the system shows me the correct list of portlets in the WAR file, but clicking "Finish" gives me a page with the error message "EJPAQ1319E: Cannot install the selected WAR file. Explanation: A portlet application containing legacy portlets can only be updated with another portlet application that contains legacy portlets. The same is true for standard portlet applications. User Response: Modify the portlet.xml of the application such that it matches the original API type, standard or legacy and try again. However, the "portlet.xml" file has not changed in about a month, and I've done several WAR updates for this application in that time with no problems. The problem seems to be caused by the code changes I did yesterday, but I have no clue why a few lines of code would do this. Any ideas?

I want to be able to mix expressions of the same calculus but not be allowed to mix expressions of different ones. So far, so good. I can create my calculus instances, but problem is that I can not write functions in other classes that manipulate them. For example, I am trying to create a parser to read expressions from a file and return them; I also was trying to write an random expression generator to use in my tests with ScalaCheck. Turns out that every time a function generates an Expr object I can't use it outside the function. Even if I create the Calculus instance and pass it as an argument to the function that will in turn generate the Expr objects, the return of the function is not recognized as being of the same type of the objects created outside the function. The proposed solution was to change the signature of the function to: def genRndExpr[E, C <: Calculus[E]](c: C, level: Int): C#Expr I changed the signature for all the functions involved: getRndExpr, getRndVal and getRndVar. And I got the same error message everywhere I call these functions and got the following error message: error: inferred type arguments [Nothing,C] do not conform to method genRndVar's type parameter bounds [E,C genRndVar(c) Since the compiler seemed to be unable to figure out the right types I changed all function call to be like below: case 0 => new c.Neg(genRndExpr[E,C](c, level+1)) After this, on the first 2 function calls (genRndVal and genRndVar) there were no compiling error, but on the following 3 calls (recursive calls to genRndExpr), where the return of the function is used to build a new Expr object I got the following error: error: type mismatch; found : C#Expr required: c.Expr case 0 = new c.Neg(genRndExpr[E,C](c, level+1)) So, again, I'm stuck. • php script dies when it calls a bash script, maybe a problem of server configuration

I have some problems with a PHP script that calls a Bash script.... in the PHP script is uploaded a XML file, then the PHP script calls a Bash script that cut the file in portions (for example, is uploaded a XML file of 30,000 lines, so the Bash script cut the file in portions of 10,000 lines, so it will be 3 files of 10,000 each one) The file is uploaded, the Bash script cut the lines, but when the Bash script returns to the PHP script, the PHP script dies, & I dont know why... I tested the script in another server and it works fine... I dont believe that is a memory problem, maybe it is a processor problem, I dont know, I dont know what to do, what can I do??? (Im using the function shell_exec in PHP to call the Bash script) The error only happens if the XML file has more than 8,000 lines, but if the file has less then 8,000 everything is ok (this is relative, it depends of the amount of data, of strings, of letters that contains each line) what can you suggest me???
