• Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14' Could not find stored procedure

  I am migrating a classic ASP web app to new servers. The database back end is migrating from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2008, and the app is moving from Win2000 x86 to Win2003R2 x64. I am getting the above error on every single stored procedure call within the application. I have verified: Yes, the SQL user is set up, using correct username and password Yes, the SQL user has execute permissions on the stored procedures in the database Yes, I have updated the TypeLib references to the new UUID Yes, I have logged into the database via SSMS with the SQL user id and it can see and execute the stored procedures just fine in SSMS, but not from the web app. Yes, the SQL user has the database set as its default database. The most frustrating thing is it works fine on the DEV server, but not on the production server. I have gone through every IIS setting 5 or 6 times and the web app is set up precisely the same in both environments. The only difference is the database server name in the connection string (DEV vs prod) EDIT: I have also tried pointing the prod web box at the dev database server and get the same error so I'm fairly sure the issue isn't on the database side.

  Hi, I am pretty rusty at C, and I'm getting a dereferencing error.   When trying to connect the iPad to the iPhone via bluetooth it stays on the "Looking for other iPhones or iPod touches" screen on both. If i try running the iPhone version on both, they find each other. Is this some sort of restriction? • Fastcgi 500 error on preg_match_all in PHP

  Hi, I'm trying to set up some exotic PHP code (I'm no expert), and I get a FastCGI Error 500 on a PHP line containing 'preg_match_all'. When I comment out the line, the page is returned with a 200 (but not how it was meant to be). The code is parsing php, html and javascript content loaded from the database and is composing them to return the finished page. Now, by placing around some error_log entries I could determine that the line with the preg_match_all is the cause of the 500. However the line is hit multiple times during the loading of the page and on other occasions, the line does not cause an error. Here's how it looks like exactly: preg_match_all ("/(<([\w]+)[^>]*>)((?:.|\n)*)(<\/\\2>)/", $part['data'], $tags, PREG_PATTERN_ORDER|PREG_OFFSET_CAPTURE); The subject string is a piece of text that looks like: <script> ... some javascript functions ... </script> [Edit:] This is code that is up and running correctly elsewhere, so this very well could be a PHP setting or environment difference. I'm using PHP 5.2.13 on IIS6 with FastCGI. [Edit:] Nothing is mentioned in the log files. At least not in the ones I checked: IIS Logs Event Logs PHP Log Any thoughts or direction would be welcome.

  Hi, I have a link error where the linker complains that my concrete class's destructor is calling its abstract superclass destructor, the code of which is missing. This is using GCC 4.2 on Mac OS X from XCode. I saw http://stackoverflow.com/questions/307352/g-undefined-reference-to-typeinfo but it's not quite the same thing. • Fatal error with Custom Magento Module on one server but not the other

  Hi, I am creating my own custom module in Magento and during testing on a Litespeed server (PHP v5.2.14) I am getting a Fatal Error: Call to a member function batch() on a non-object in ../../../BatchController.php on line 25 that was not appearing during testing on another linux server and a wamp server (PHP v5.2.11). This one has stumped me. I am guessing it has something to do with the server configuration rather than the code itself. But i am just guessing. I was hoping someone here could tell me. The only real major difference I could see, aside from the php versions and environment, is that the server that the error is on is using the Suhosin Patch. But would that be something that could cause this? The line in question is Mage::getModel('mymodule/mymodel')->batch(); which is enclosed in an IF statement. batch() is a public function located in my model file. If you need more code let me know. • Why does Tfs2010 build my Wix project before anything else?

  Hi all, A similar question was asked and answered about a year ago, but was either a different issue (everything was in beta) or misdiagnosed. It's located here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/688162/msbuild-task-fails-because-any-cpu-solution-is-built-out-of-order. My issue is that I have a wix installer project, and after upgrading to Tfs2010 on monday, the build fails on linking because it can't find the build product of the Wpf application in the project. After some digging, it's because it hasn't been built yet. Building in Vs2010 works as normal. The wix project is set to depend on the Wpf project, and when viewing Project Build Order in the IDE, everything looks as normal. The problem was originally encountered with only two platform definitions in the solution; x86 and x64. There are also two flavors, Debug and Release, and TFSBuild.proj is set to build all four combinations. There was no occurence of AnyCPU anywhere. Per the referenced question above, I tried changing the Wpf project to use AnyCPU so that it would be built first. At this point, the wix project used the exact configuration and the Wpf project used the flavor with AnyCPU. However, doing so didn't seem to change anything. I'm using the Tfs2010 RTM, Vs2010 RTM, and the most recent version of Wix, which at the time of this writing is 3.5.1602.0, from 2010-04-02. Anyone else running into this?

• Problems with Continuous Integration (CI) in TFS during Build Automation?

  Hi all, I am using TFS 2008 and Visual Studio and my boss has instructed me to implement Build Automation for Development and Release builds for a web Project. I am a total newbie in Build Automation. There are multiple developers working on the project on different machines using Visual Studio 2008 team System. Source is already being maintained on TFS 2008. SQL Server in Use is SQL Server 2000 and hosted IIS is IIS 7.5 on Windows Server 2008 x64. I have searched over the net and found Continuous Integration and Nightly Builds as two important Build Automation techniques. I was just wondering of any disadvantages associated with both the methodologies (CI and Nightly Builds). If someone could guide me to a working tutorial that explains both techniques the it would be quite helpful. Please also tell the requirements of IIS, SQL Server and any other that might be pre-requisite to implement build automation. Also i would like to know whether there are other techniques that are better then CI? Replies and discussion much appreciated. Thanks

• Is there a detailed description of optimizations in the Android build process?

  I've been curious as to all the optimizations that go into the building of an .apk. I'm curious because of two things I've tried in the past to bring down the size of my .apk: I have had a few large json assets in projects before, as well as a static sqlite database. I tried bringing down the size of the apk by gzipping them before the build process, but the resulting size is exactly the same. I just today tried pngcrush on my /drawable/ folders. The resulting build was exactly the same size as before. I would think that perhaps #1 could be explained by the zip process, but simply zipping the /drawable/ folders in #2 result in different-sized files. Perhaps the build process runs something akin to pngcrush? Regardless, I was wondering if anyone knew where to find a detailed description of all the optimizations in the Android build process. I don't want to waste my time trying to optimize what is already automated, and also I think it'd help my understanding of the resulting apk. Does anyone know if this is documented anywhere?
