    I am doing a webservice in phonegap.Here the application fetch values from a xml file in remote server when user search particular keyword and load the content to a div in my application.Here my problem is I want to show toast message like "loading..." or "progressing..." till the content is loaded into the div of application.I have created a toast message.But I dont know how to hide the toast message after the content is loaded since the time for fetching values from xml file is different for different keywords.   • MVC4 not binding a list of basic types

    I cannot, for the life of me, get this data to bind. Here's my JavaScript: var params = { 'InvItemIDs': ["188475", "188490"]}; $.post("api/Orders/OrderFromInventory?" + $.param(params)) and the Controller action: public HttpResponseMessage OrderFromInventory(IList<int> InvItemIDs) { return new HttpResponseMessage(); } I've built the query string so that it's sending: ?InvItemIDs=188475&InvItemIDs=188490 as well as ?InvItemIDs[]=188475&InvItemIDs[]=188490 and even ?InvItemIDs[0]=188475&InvItemIDs[1]=188490 and none of them are binding. InvItemIDs is always null. What am I doing wrong? EDIT: So it turns out all this is a bug (or something) in the new Web API controller code in MVC4. As soon as I moved the exact same code over to a standard controller it started working. I'm still interested if anyone has any insight as to why the Web API would break this binding.

    I'm creating a webapp using jQueryMobile. When I'm using the app and I click a button it runs the script multiple times.   • I need a simple slideshow for images of different sizes

    I'm looking for a very basic slideshow which displays images of various sizes. For example, the first image could be a standard 800x600 but the next might be a taller portrait image and so on. The slideshow doesn't need to have any controls. The specification just states that the page will be black and in the centre there'll be the area where images will display. As far as I know, it will be very simple like this - www.jeffcutter.net. I'm limited on time here so I'm not able to look into writing a custom one or anything like that. But everytime alert($(this).css('display')) showing block. How can I handle this?.   • How can I hide this overlay element intelligently?

    The site I'm working on has a collection of navigation elements across the top ("Products", "Company", etc.). When you mouse over the Products link, an overlay appears that shows a list of products with links to each. There's a small link at the top of the container that, when clicked, closes the container. All of this works as advertised. The client has asked that, once a user's mouse pointer is a sufficient distance from the overlay element, the overlay element would close (without them having to click the 'close' link). This element appears on multiple pages that have disparate content, so I'm afraid it won't be as simple as adding a mouseover listener to another single element within the page and have it work everywhere. My question, I suppose, is this: is there a relatively easy way to know when the mouse cursor is x pixels away from this container and trigger an event when this occurs? My other thought is that I could just find several elements on the page that fit this criteria and add mouseover listeners to each, but I'm assuming there's a more elegant way of handling this.
