    - by Yannick Richard
This morning our game is not working on my computer under IE9. The error I get is: access denied on http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v1/yL/r/X3oFUDWWu05.js When I load this URL in Chrome, FF, and IE 8, everything works fine. But under IE9 I have the following error: 'window is undefined' Error : 800A1391 Execution Error Microsoft JScript This is a Facebook script that I have no control over. • LDAP user data caching on local database

    - by Eduardo
I am integrating LDAP authentication in my web enterprise application. I would like to show listing of people name and email. Instead of querying the LDAP server for the name and email each time a listing containing several users I thought about caching the data locally in the database. Do you guys know about caching LDAP data best practices? Should I cache LDAP user data? When should I insert and refresh the data?

  • Custom Content-Type for File in Rails 'public' Folder

    - by Kevin Sylvestre
For assets stored in the 'public' folder of a ruby-on-rails application is it possible to change the 'Content-Type' when running 'script/server'? For example, I am attempting to create an HTML5 application supporting offline mode, and have an 'offline.manifest'. When I run: curl -I localhost:3000/offline.mainfest The following header information is returned: HTTP/1.1 200 OK ... Content-Type: text/plain ... However, HTML5 specifications require: HTTP/1.1 200 OK ... Content-Type: text/cache-manifest ...

  • Loading scripts using jQuery

    - by Nimbuz
$.ajax({ url: "plugin.js", dataType: 'script', cache: true, success: function() { alert('loaded'); }}); 1) I can't get the script to load, probably due to incorrect path, but how do I determine the correct path? The above code is in init.js, plugin.js is also in the same folder. 2) Can I load multiple plugins at once with the same request? eg. plugin.js, anotherplugin.js? Thanks for your help

  • Windsor PerWebRequest resolution in Application_Start

    - by zaph0d
I am injecting HttpContextBase into a caching class. HttpContextBase is registered as PerWebRequest. I interact with the caching class on each web request and this works fine, but I also need to initialise the cache at application start. I understand that PerWebRequest does not work in Application_Start though: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2670717/castle-perrequestlifestyle-not-recognize What is the best way to resolve this in my situation?

  • memcached vs. internal caching in PHP?

    - by waitinforatrain
Hey, I'm working on some old(ish) software in PHP that maintains a $cache array to reduce the number of SQL queries. I was thinking of just putting memcached in its place and I'm wondering whether or not to get rid of the internal caching. Would there still be a worthwihle performance increase if I keep the internal caching, or would memcached suffice?

  • Effect of suffixes in memory operations

    - by tur1ng
In x86 GNU Assembler there are different suffixes for memory related operations. E.g.: movb, movs, movw, movl, movq, movt(?) Now my question is the following: Does the suffix has ANY effect on how the processor is getting the data out of main memory or will always be one or more 32-bit (x86) chunks loaded into the cache ? What are the effects beside the memory access?

  • What is a good free ODBC viewer?

    - by wshato
At my job I have to work with three different databases. One is a SQL Server 2008, for which I use SQL Server Management Studio, and another is MySQL, for which I use the MySQL tools. The third however is a Cache database that I can only access through a ODBC connection. Currently I use the SLIK software ODBC View tool to access it, but it is severely lacking when compared with the other two tools. Can anyone recommend a good tool for this type of work?

  • Does anyone know what is the 32 character string before the product image filename in Magento ?

    - by Daniel Higgins
I ask this question, since I am trying to get the images I have just copied from Domain A to work in Domain B, (which is using the same database). http://DOMAIN_A/magento/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/b/0/b0041-1.jpg I think knowing what the 32 character string is, which help me find a good explanation why the images are not being found in the front or backend of Magento after reinstall on DOMAIN B. • How does SO's form remember previous input values?

    - by user198729
I've noticed that the Title or Body part is remembered if I come back to the Ask Question page by pressing Back button of my browser. This feature is available in all browsers I tested, but doesn't exist for the forms in my own projects. How can I approach that effect? UPDATE I still don't have any clue yet,but guess it that some kind of client cache enabled by http headers or javascript?

  • How does browser search tool work on web page?

    - by GTM
I am trying to figure out how the search tool in a web browser is being able to parse through the entire web page(assuming huge content on a page) and highlight the result as we type. Does it pre-cache the page while loading in a map or use regex to get a quick result on the fly?

  • Is it expensive to hold on to PreparedStatements? (Java & JDBC)

    - by sbook
I'm trying to figure out if it's efficient for me to cache all of my statements when I create my database connection or if I should only create those that are most used and create the others if/when they're needed.. It seems foolish to create all of the statements in all of the client threads. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
