    I'm trying to create a function in package that returns a table. I hope to call the function once in the package, but be able to re-use its data mulitple times. While I know I create temp tables in Oracle, I was hoping to keep things DRY. One error message is 'not enough values', which probably means that I should be selecting into the MEASURE_RECORD, rather than the MEASURE_TABLE. What am I missing?

  • Shadowbox + jQuery not working - No errors.

    First, apologies. I'm a js newb. I'm attempting to trigger a shadowbox with the load of a specific page - a "pop-up" if you will. Nothing happens and according to firebug, there are no errors to report. I should note that this is wordpress, so I'm using the default jQuery call and also shadowbox rolled into a WP plug-in.   • Setting Cursor property has no effect (C#)

    Hello, I have a class that I've derived from System.Windows.Forms.Panel, and my application has a main form with one of these panels. On the whole, the panel works great! The only thing I'm having trouble with is setting the cursor. Whether I'm setting it to one of the static members of the Cursors class (Default, WaitCursor, etc.) or setting it to a custom cursor that I've loaded from a resource, the end result is the same: it does nothing. I still see the default mouse pointer, no matter what. This line of code is inside a method of my panel-derived class: this.Cursor = Cursors.WaitCursor; I can set a break point there, and see that this line is being hit when I expect it to. I've also created an override for the OnCursorChanged method, and set a breakpoint in there just to see if it's being triggered. I can verify that both breakpoints are being hit when I expect them to. However, the cursor just never changes. There must be something that I'm missing. Does anyone have any ideas? P.S. I also did try setting Current.Cursor as well, however that did not help.

  • Simple stream read/write question in java

    Hi, I'm trying to upload a file via URLConnection, but i need to read/write it as a binary file without any encoding changes. So i've tried to read byte[] array from FileInputStream, but now i have an issue. The PrintWriter object i use for outputing to the server does not allow me to do writer.write(content) (where content is of type byte[]). How can i fix this? Or is there another way to quickly copy binary data from a FileInputStream to a PrintWriter? Thank you

  • mysqldump problem with case sensitivity? Win->linux

    When i dump a table with uppercase letters using mysqldump it comes out as lower case in my dump.sql file. I found a report here in 2006, almost 4 years old http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=19967 A solution here suggest making linux insensitive. I rather not if possible. Whats the easiest way to copy a win32 db into linux?

  • Flex, continuous scanning stream (from socket). Did I miss something using yywrap()?

    Working on a socketbased scanner (continuous stream) using Flex for pattern recognition. Flex doesn't find a match that overlaps 'array bounderies'. So I implemented yywrap() to setup new array content as soon yylex() detects < (it will call yywrap). No success so far. What files would I need to copy over? I believe the setup is pretty standard.

  • Getting scp's status bar to appear in a Java window

As it stands now, the program freezes up while the scp is copying the file, which can take a few minutes, so I'd like to be able to display the progress of the scp or at the very least get the terminal window with the scp progress to show up! Any suggestions?

    I have a stream onto which serialized objects representing messages are dumped periodically. The objects are one of a very limited number of types, and other than the actual sequence of bytes that arrives, I have no way of knowing what type of message it is. I would like to simply try to deserialize it as an object of a particular type, and if an exception is thrown, try again with the next type. I have an interface that looks like this: public interface IMessageHandler<T> where T : class, IMessage { T Handle(string message); } // elsewhere: // (These are all xsd.exe-generated classes from an XML schema.) public class AppleMessage : IMessage { ... } public class BananaMessage : IMessage { ... } public class CoconutMessage : IMessage { ... } Then I wrote a GenericHandler<T> that looks like this: public class GenericHandler<T> : IMessageHandler<T> where T: class, IMessage { public class MessageHandler : IMessageHandler { T IMessageHandler.Handle(string message) { T result = default(T); try { // This utility method tries to deserialize the object with an // XmlSerializer as if it were an object of type T. result = Utils.SerializationHelper.Deserialize<T>(message); } catch (InvalidCastException e) { result = default(T); } return result; } } } Two questions: Using my GenericHandler<T> (or something similar to it), I'd now like to populate a collection with handlers that each handle a different type. If I get a null result, move onto the next handler; otherwise, the message has been deserialized. Can this be done? Is there a better way to deserialize data of unknown (but restricted) type?

    I was wondering how one might extract the current state of the registry, of Windows XP, in C or C++? (While the OS is active). I been trying to use BackupRead() on the registry-files, but it is impossible to CreateFile() them. In CountryController, I'm retrieving a list of countries from a CountryService that uses the $resource object. This works fine, but I want to be able to share the list of countries with the ClientController. After some research, I read that I should use the CountryService to store the data and inject that service into both controllers.
