  • Handle events in SPWebPartManager

    - by Ashok
How do i handle events such as "WebPartMoving" and "WebPartMoved" in a page conataining webparts. The webpart manager tag is added to the master page. So i added the handler to code behind: m.WebPartMoving += new System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts.WebPartMovingEventHandler(m_WebPartMoved); but it's not working...what could be the reason?

  • Android - Help needed with designing a screen with either table layout or list views

    - by A. Cusano
I am currently developing an android app that is to be a counterpart to its sister iphone prototype. My task is to recreate the screen from a design mockup from the iphone app in android, as shown here (can't display an image as a new user - sorry!): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/thrawn891/iphone.jpg What would be the best layouts / views to use for replicating this screen in an activity? Thanks.

  • a good resource or book for architecting object-oriented software

    - by Ygam
I have looked at a couple of books and all I have looked at were just discussing the technicalities of OOP. By technicalities I mean, here's a concept, here's some code, now get working. I have yet to see a book that discusses the architectural process, what are the ways of doing this, why doing this is bad, how to actually incorporate design patterns in a real-world project, etc. Can you recommend a good resource or book? I am mainly programming with PHP but a language-agnostic book/resource would do :)

  • How Do I Hide wpf datagrid row selector

    - by Tim Almond
I'm using the WPF DataGrid control to show some details and a select button, and I don't need the grey selector column down the left hand side. It's also ruining the beauty of my design ;) Is there a way to remove it, or how can I style it to match if not?

  • how did i break :method -> :delete

    - by Tallboy
i refactored my entire application and gave it a whole new design. The one thing that seems to be broken is all the original link_to methods I had which were :method = :delete are now getting sent as a GET request. The only thing I did that I can remember that might cause it is delete jquery-rails from the gemfile (I'm just getting it from google ajax). Does anyone have any other ideas what I could have deleted?

  • Is there a way to implement OnReady() callback in Qt4?

    - by lilo
I want to do something which will access network when a QMainWindow is ready. I suppose I should not do it in the constructor, so I try to find a signal the widget will get and try to implement something like a OnReady() call back in other UI library. But I still can not find a way to do this. Thanks a lot in advance.

  • How do I map to a parent or child in the same table with NHibernate?

    - by adolfojp
Lets suppose that I have a Category table with a column that holds the id of a parent or child category from the same table. This design would allow me to have unlimited levels of Categories, or unlimited levels in a thread, for example. How can I map this relationship with NHibernate? Are there any disadvantages or warnings that I should take into consideration when doing this?

  • CSS Unwanted padding in IE using floats.

    - by user564176
It's been a long day of designing and I ran into a problem today. The website www.dcninc.com/newtest/security_testing.php is a new design I'm working on at work right now. If you view it in Firefox you will notice there is no padding on the 2 right boxes (I did that on purpose to trouble shoot my problem) However if you view that same page in IE, it adds padding to the right side. Here is my CSS and HTML below. http://pastebin.com/hRxZp9ub http://pastebin.com/YwSYn7ti

  • rewards the products qualify for

    - by Rod
products purchased -------------------------- bana bana bana stra kiwi reward requirements table (related to a rewards table) reward id, products ---------------------- 1,bana 1,bana 1,bana 2,stra 2,bana 3,stra 4,cart 5,bana 5,bana 5,oliv Can you help me with sql to get rewards the products purchased qualifies for? In the case above the reward ids would be: 1 2 3 If there is a better design that would make the solution easier I welcome those as well. I'm using product names for the sake of easier explaining, I hope. (I'll replace with product ids later)

  • How to generate an Intent that jumps into a specific short message conversation?

    - by Janusz
I would like to create an Intent that opens the messages application in a specific conversation. If a short message notification is clicked Logcat reveals the following: INFO/ActivityManager(31909): Starting activity: Intent { act=android.intent.action.VIEW dat=content://mms-sms/conversations/3 flg=0x34000000 cmp=com.android.mms/.ui.ConversationList bnds=[0,586][600,682] } This brought me a little bit further using content://mms-sms/conversations/3 as the data starts up the messages app in the correct conversation. I now only need to find out which conversation a message belongs to.

  • What are the things Java got wrong?

    - by Alon
I read a lot of blogs and see people all the time talking about bad things in the java programming language; a lot of them are about annotations and generics that were added to the language in 1.5 release. What are the things in the language or the API that you don't like or would design differently?
