  • Maximizing the current window in javascript

    - by user349134
    Is there a way I can maximize a currently minimized window from Javascript? Here's my situation: I have a series of links that all target the same external window (e.g. "MyNewWindow"). When I click a link, a new window pops up. If I click another link, the page pops up in the same window as expected. If I minimize the "MyNewWindow" popup, I'd like to be able to click another link and have that window maximize. My approach was to put something on the onLoad part of the body so that when the page is refreshed it will automatically "maximize" if it is minimized. Note: Using window.MoveTo() and window.resizeTo() doesnt seem to do the trick (the window stays minimized). Thanks!

  • Facebook FB.api post how to specify a target

    - by Laurent Luce
    I am using FB.api OpenGraph to post a message on the user's wall. I would like the link target to be equal to '_blank' so it opens in a new tab. Is it possible ? The Facebook documentation doesn't give much details. var params = {}; params['message'] = 'message'; params['name'] = 'name'; params['link'] = 'http://link'; params['picture'] = 'http://picture'; params['description'] = 'description'; FB.api('/me/feed', 'post', params, function(response) { if (!response || response.error) { alert('Error occured'); } else { alert('Post ID: ' + response); } });

  • lead capture apps

    - by Steve
    I'd like to build a lead capture website, where a visitor is required to enter their name and email address in order to receive a free report for download. Do you know of an app which will let me store captured information in a database, and present the download link to them after registering? I guess this can all be accomplished using a contact form script with database integration and jquery confirmation message.

  • Read XML from an XDocument with silverlight

    - by user625310
    Hi I have managed to load an XDocument with xml data from this link http://go.yr.no/go/e/main/http://www.yr.no/place/Norway/Telemark/Sauherad/Gvarv/forecast.xml. I am using C# and .Net in Blend and producing a web app (ie some of the normal .Net functions is not included in the silverlight plugin). I have researched this a lot but can not figure out: how to put the "text" in the link node in a string variable and how to all put the "-11" from ? in a array and link it to the "time from"? I think i have to use LINQ, but the stuff on MSDN and other tutorials is confusing and to general. huge thank in advance Regards Arnt I am sorry to ask such novice questions, but i have searched a lot. Also please excuse the typos, English is not my first language. Huge thank in advance Arnt

  • amp is included in url struts tag

    - by lakshmanan
    Hi, In my web application, I use strust2 url tag to pass parameters like id etc., For example, I use a link to delete an entity and I use param to pass the id of the entity to be deleted. And I follow this throughout my web app for adding, editing, deleting an entity. During run time, sometimes, I don't get the params to be stored in my action's bean properties. When I see the link that is generated, I get something like <a href='/projit1/p/discuss/viewDiscussion.action?d=11&amp;amp;amp;projid=11&amp;amp;disid=4'> What are these amps for ? why do they sit in between the action calls (made by link via url tag actions ) ? By the time I traverse back and forth in my web app, I get 10s and 20s of amp sitting in the request URL. What is the problem here ? Please help.

  • How to make a page print to printer just once

    - by menislici
    I have a basic html page generated through php and it prints to a printer after a link click using Ben Nadel's print plugin. However, I don't want the user to print the page again. I tried setting the 'print' link to a negative z-index using jquery after it's being clicked, but the user can refresh the page and reuse the link so it would print again. I also know that I can somehow disable the refresh feature, by modifying what F5 does, but that would't save the day since the user can refresh the page through the url bar, and I can't remove/hide, it as much as I know. It also runs on localhost so the user client and server are on the same side. Even the browser doesn't matter since I could use the one that fits this case.

  • The SQL of Membership: Equivalence Classes & Cliques

    It is awkward to do 'Graph databases' in SQL to explore the sort of relationships and memberships in social networks because equivalence relations are classes (a set of sets) rather than sets. However one can explore graphs in SQL if the relationship has all three of the mathematical properties needed for an equivalence relationship. Hello, I want to hide and show some form in my page. For each form theres a link, and i want that, when i click on this link, it hide and show the nearest form of the link. My code looks like this : $$('.flagLink').each(function(s){ $(s).observe('click', function(event) { // here i want to hide and show the nearest form }); }); I've tried this : $$('.flagLink').each(function(s){ $(s).observe('click', function(event) { $(s).next('form').toggle(); }); }); It works but, i would like to be more precise like : $$('.flagLink').each(function(s){ $(s).observe('click', function(event) { $(s).next('.flagForm').toggle(); }); }); but the .flagForm selector doesnt work.

  • Check if a MediaWiki page exists (Python)

    - by compie
    I'm working on a Python script that transforms this: foo bar Into this: [[Component foo]] [[bar]] The script checks (per input line) if the page "Component foo" exists. If it exists then a link to that page is created, if it doesn't exist then a direct link is created. The problem is that I need a quick & cheap way to check if a lot of wiki pages exist.I don't want to (try to) download all the 'Component' pages. I already figured out a fast way to do this by hand: Edit a new wiki page. paste all the 'component' links into the page, press preview, and then save the resulting preview HTML page. The resulting HTML file contains a different link for existing pages than for non-existing pages. So to rephrase my question: How can I save a mediawiki preview page in Python?

  • JqueryUI Tab Linking from Another Page

    - by pschorr
    I'm having some issues with jqueryui tabs and linking to certain tabs on another page. Basically, each page has tabs, and all are navigational via drop down at the top, with each 'tab' being available in the drop down. Currently I'm able to text-link, but only within the page I'm on, and I'm just lost on the getting it to work correctly from page to page. Here's what I currently got working with internal text link. $(function() { $("#tabs").tabs( {fx: { opacity: 'toggle' }, selected: 0} ); var $tabs = $('#tabs').tabs(); // first tab selected $('a.nutrlink').click(function() { // bind click event to link $tabs.tabs('select', 1); // switch to third tab return false; }); });

  • How to rename the original file before sending it to user

    - by Manish Jangir
    Actually I have some download link on my website something like "http://www.example.com/somesong.mp3". Now when user click on this link they get somesong.mp3 but I want to change it before they download. I found many scripts that made it possible but didn't get exact right script. Because I want that when the user clicks on download link the file downloading should be started just after the click with the new file name as I want to use. But in all the scripts which I downloaded, first the php processing starts for a few minute (I think it depends on the file size) and then rename it. Is there a way to direct force the file in header with new file name. Thanks.
