  • Facebook Like not Pulling Title

    I am having some issues with the new facebook like button. It shows up fine, however for some reason it's not pulling the title of the page. I have the and I am using og:title, all are filled in, when I view the source of the iframe created on the load of he button, the in there is blank. I am also trying to put the tweetmeme and that's seeing that title and not the meta, or the normal page title.   • VS2010 renders controls JS awkwardly

    I have created a Website Project in VS2010. My Controls are not rendered correctly. The JS that is produced is not correctly formatted.   • keypress event not being triggered only at start and end of text field in Firefox (JQuery)

    I'm listening for keypress events on an input field with delegation. For some reason, Firefox doesn't trigger the delegated event for cursor UP when at the start of the field, or cursor DOWN when at the end. LEFT and RIGHT work as expected all the time. Directly binding an event listener to the field works fine, so it has to be something to do with delegation. It gives the following error: "parseXML is not defined" var oSVG = document.getElementById("svg-wall").getSVGDocument(); var oNotes = oSVG.getElementById('notes'); oNotes.appendChild(parseXML(oFragment, document)); So my question is what am i doing wrong and is this even the best way to append a svg string to the dom?

    I have two div tags inside a parent div. I want to display the two divs in same line and centered.     I have never worked on classic ASP and unfortunately i am supposed to modify an old classisc ASP web site. ASP.Net ViewState does take care of maintaining control's sate automatically. How do i do it in classic ASP ? I have two radio buttons and a text box placed on my ASP page, when user types in something in the text box based on radio button selection we display different search results. Now what i need is to keep the previously selected radio button as checked after the page is postbacked. How do i do that ?

  • window.onbeforeunload ajax request problem with Chrome

    Hello, I have a web page that handles remote control of a machine through Ajax. When user navigate away from the page, I'd like to automatically disconnect from the machine. So here is the code: window.onbeforeunload = function () { bas_disconnect_only(); } The disconnection function simply send a HTTP GET request to a PHP server side script, which does the actual work of disconnecting: function bas_disconnect_only() { var xhr = bas_send_request("req=10", function() { } ); } This works fine in FireFox. But with Chrome, the ajax request is not sent at all. There is a unacceptable workaround: adding alert to the callback function: function bas_disconnect_only() { var xhr = bas_send_request("req=10", function() { alert("You're been automatically disconnected."); } ); } After adding the alert call, the request would be sent successfully. But as you can see, it's not really a work around at all. Could somebody tell me if this is achievable with Chrome? What I'm doing looks completely legit to me. Thanks,

I don't know where porblem. I run this fun after domloaded.     Would it be considered best practice to use a single template that changes it's output based on script values, or have multiple templates, and use the view to pick the correct one instead?   • Custom action getting published multiple times on user's timeline for same object

    I just noticed that when I publish an action on the user's timeline for the same object multiple times, using facebook's 'built-in' action type (eg: 'read' an article), i get an error response, something like "action is already associated to the user on this object". But when i try to do the same for a custom action that i created(eg: 'agreed' with an article), I don't get any error message, instead the actions gets published multiple times. I want my custom action to behave just like facebook's default action-type.

    Is there a solution for cross browser event. I need to check if user closes their window and to throw an ajax request to my database to sign them out. I've looked everyone but most cases its not working in all browsers. Anyone have a solution? Or Alternative on how to do this perhaps a conditional statement depending on the browser? Thanks!
