  • Split a map using Groovy

    - by Tihom
I want to split up a map into an array of maps. For example, if there is a map with 25 key/value pairs. I want an array of maps with no more than 10 elements in each map. How would I do this in groovy? I have a solution which I am not excited about, is there better groovy version: static def splitMap(m, count){ if (!m) return def keys = m.keySet().toList() def result = [] def num = Math.ceil(m?.size() / count) (1..num).each { def min = (it - 1) * count def max = it * count > keys.size() ? keys.size() - 1 : it * count - 1 result[it - 1] = [:] keys[min..max].each {k -> result[it - 1][k] = m[k] } } result } m is the map. Count is the max number of elements within the map.

  • Resuming execution of code after exception is thrown and caught

    - by dotnetdev
Hi, How is it possible to resume code execution after an exception is thrown? For exampel, take the following code: namespace ConsoleApplication1 { class Test { public void s() { throw new NotSupportedException(); string @class = "" ; Console.WriteLine(@class); Console.ReadLine(); } } class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { try { new Test().s(); } catch (ArgumentException x) { } catch (Exception ex) { } } } } After catching the exception when stepping through, the program will stop running. How can I still carry on execution? Thanks

  • C# SQL Parameter Errors in Loops

    - by jakesankey
    Please help me out with this. I have this small application to load txt files into a sql db and it works fine with sqlite. When I ported to SQL I started getting 'parameter already declared' errors.. If anyone can help me reorganize this code, it would be great! I need to get the parameter definitions outside of the loops or something.. using System; using System.Data; using System.Data.SQLite; using System.IO; using System.Text.RegularExpressions; using System.Threading; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Data.SqlClient; namespace JohnDeereCMMDataParser { internal class Program { public static List<string> GetImportedFileList() { List<string> ImportedFiles = new List<string>(); using (SqlConnection connect = new SqlConnection(@"Server=FRXSQLDEV;Database=RX_CMMData;Integrated Security=YES")) { connect.Open(); using (SqlCommand fmd = connect.CreateCommand()) { fmd.CommandText = @"SELECT FileName FROM Import;"; fmd.CommandType = CommandType.Text; SqlDataReader r = fmd.ExecuteReader(); while (r.Read()) { ImportedFiles.Add(Convert.ToString(r["FileName"])); } } } return ImportedFiles; } private static void Main(string[] args) { using (SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(@"Server=FRXSQLDEV;Database=RX_CMMData;Integrated Security=YES")) { con.Open(); using (SqlCommand insertCommand = con.CreateCommand()) { Console.WriteLine("Connecting to SQL server..."); SqlCommand cmdd = con.CreateCommand(); string[] files = Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\Documents and Settings\js91162\Desktop\", "R.txt*", SearchOption.AllDirectories); insertCommand.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@FeatType", DbType.String)); insertCommand.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@FeatName", DbType.String)); insertCommand.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@Value", DbType.String)); insertCommand.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@Actual", DbType.Decimal)); insertCommand.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@Nominal", DbType.Decimal)); insertCommand.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@Dev", DbType.Decimal)); insertCommand.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@TolMin", DbType.Decimal)); insertCommand.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@TolPlus", DbType.Decimal)); insertCommand.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@OutOfTol", DbType.Decimal)); List<string> ImportedFiles = GetImportedFileList(); foreach (string file in files.Except(ImportedFiles)) { var FileNameExt1 = Path.GetFileName(file); cmdd.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@FileExt", FileNameExt1)); cmdd.CommandText = @" IF (EXISTS (SELECT * FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES WHERE TABLE_SCHEMA = 'RX_CMMData' AND TABLE_NAME = 'Import')) BEGIN SELECT COUNT(*) FROM Import WHERE FileName = @FileExt; END"; int count = Convert.ToInt32(cmdd.ExecuteScalar()); con.Close(); con.Open(); if (count == 0) { Console.WriteLine("Parsing CMM data for SQL database...   • Filter a list of objects using a property that is another list. Usign linq.

    - by Luís Custódio
I've a nice situation, I think at beginning this a usual query but I'm having some problem trying to solve this, the situation is: I've a list of "Houses", and each house have a list of "Windows". And I want to filter for a catalog only the Houses witch have a Blue windows, so my extension method of House is something like: public static List<House> FilterByWindow (this IEnumerable<House> houses, Window blueOne){ houses.Select(p=>p.Windows.Where(q=>q.Color == blueOne.Color)); return houses.ToList(); } Is this correct or I'm losing something? Some better suggestion?

  • UITableViewCells loaded from NIB always nil

    - by Jason B
I'm trying to create a simple form using a UITableViewController as documented in the Apple Developer Documentation here: http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/UserExperience/Conceptual/TableView_iPhone/TableViewCells/TableViewCells.html What I'm trying to do is located in the section entitled: "The Technique for Static Row Content" I've created a couple of UITableViewCells and added them to my nib, but when I try and access them to add them to the UITableView (in the cellForRowAtIndexPath method) they are always null. It's like they are not being properly loaded from the nib. I've double/triple/quadruple checked my code to make sure I'm doing it exactly as detailed in the docs, but no luck. Is there something obvious I'm missing here? Thanks

  • ValidatorEnable is not defined when rolled with AJAX

    - by tigermain
I have some webforms which have been working fine with various static and dynamically generated validators. For some reason now that I have implemented UpdatePanels on the forms, when I manually call the ValidatorEnable() method on one of them (when I click a checkbox) I get the "ValidatorEnable is not defined" error message. I am passing the same clientID etc into the method that I was using before I implemented the AJAX.net controls It would seem .net isnt rendering the /WebResource.axd?d=aUu4P3dfjWWyw3KQ9t2ZdqxnzYhrtq9uWWiRZduXE-g1 script to the page, adding it manually I get other missing JS objects. So how can I force it to register the relevant scripts? N.B. The validators in question are being rendered in a repeater

  • Remote Development Workflow with Tomcat and Eclipse

    - by Smithers
Currently, I have tomcat installed on the production server to serve my java webapps. I develop in eclipse at my personal workstation and then I use an ant script to build the project into a war file and deploy that on the server. This setup works well when I am on the same network as the server because deploying is almost instantaneous. However, now that I am working remotely uploading the war file to the server is slow and in most cases very redundant (there are about .5 GB of static media included in the war file). Is there a better way to update my webapp on tomcat from eclipse and if so what are the best options for implementing such a solution with minimal effort?

  • Construct a variadic template of unsigned int recursively

    - by Vincent
I need a tricky thing in a C++ 2011 code. Currently, I have a metafunction of this kind : template<unsigned int N, unsigned int M> static constexpr unsigned int myFunction() This function can generate number based on N and M. I would like to write a metafunction with input N and M, and that will recursively construct a variadic template by decrementing M. For example, by calling this function with M = 3, It will construct a variadic template called List equal to : List... = myFunction<N, 3>, myFunction<N, 2>, myFunction<N, 1>, myFunction<N, 0> How to do that (if it is possible of course) ?

  • c#, Internal, and Reflection

    - by cyberconte
Duplicate of: Accessing internal members via System.Reflection? Is there a way to execute "internal" code via reflection? Here is an example program: using System; using System.Reflection; namespace ReflectionInternalTest { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { Assembly asm = Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly(); // Call normally new TestClass(); // Call with Reflection asm.CreateInstance("ReflectionInternalTest.TestClass", false, BindingFlags.Default | BindingFlags.CreateInstance, null, null, null, null); // Pause Console.ReadLine(); } } class TestClass { internal TestClass() { Console.WriteLine("Test class instantiated"); } } } Creating a testclass normally works perfectly, however when i try to create an instance via reflection, I get a missingMethodException error saying it can't find the Constructor (which is what would happen if you tried calling it from outside the assembly). Is this impossible, or is there some workaround i can do?

  • Automatically Word-Wrapping Text To A Print Page?

    - by sooprise
I have some code that prints a string, but if the string is say: "Blah blah blah"... and there are no line breaks, the text occupies a single line. I would like to be able to shape the string so it word wraps to the dimensions of the paper. private void PrintIt(){ PrintDocument document = new PrintDocument(); document.PrintPage += (sender, e) => Document_PrintText(e, inputString); document.Print(); } static private void Document_PrintText(PrintPageEventArgs e, string inputString) { e.Graphics.DrawString(inputString, new Font("Courier New", 12), Brushes.Black, 0, 0); } I suppose I could figure out the length of a character, and wrap the text manually, but if there is a built in way to do this, I'd rather do that. Thanks!

  • nginx improperly forwards to https, adds two trailing slashes when rewriting

    - by Kevin
I'm using nginx as a proxy for a django project on mod_wsgi and to serve the static content. I have two domain names for it: asdf-example.com and asdfexample.com. I want to use rewrites to redirect everything to www.asdf-example.com They're not quite working the way they should: asdf-example.com forwards to https:// www.asdf-example.com, which fails because I'm not using SSL. Though asdf-example.com/search forwards to http://.... asdfexample.com and www.asdfexample.com both forward to www.asdf-example.com//, which looks weird. My config file: server { listen 80; server_name asdf-example.com asdfexample.com; if ($host ~* ^asdf-example\.com){ rewrite ^(.*)$ http://www.asdf-example.com/$1 permanent; } if ($host ~* ^asdfexample\.com){ rewrite ^(.*)$ http://www.asdf-example.com/$1 permanent; } if ($host ~* ^www\.asdfexample\.com){ rewrite ^(.*)$ http://www.asdf-example.com/$1 permanent; } ... • Remove all references to a DLL across all application domains

    - by ck
I have a web application that dynamically loads assemblies based on database configuration entries to perform certain actions (dynamic plugin style architecture). The calls to the objects are in a Factory Pattern implementation, and the object is cached (in a static dictionary< within the Factory) as the calls can be made many thousands of times in a minute. The calls to this factory are made from both the main web application and a number of webservices, some in different assemblies/projects. When I need to update one of these DLLs, I have to recycle IIS to get the DLL released. As this has an impact on another application on the server, I wanted to know if there was a way I could release the DLL without restarting IIS?

  • Please help, now I have a matrix, I want use Combination algorithm to generate a array for length 6

    The first thanks a lot for your help , the following is my matrix, I want to implement combination algorithm between multiple arrays in LINQ for this matrix. int[,] cj = { { 10, 23, 16, 20 }, { 22, 13, 1, 33 }, { 7, 19, 31, 12 }, { 30, 14, 21, 4 }, { 2, 29, 32, 6 }, { 18, 26, 17, 8 }, { 25, 11, 5, 28 }, { 24, 3, 15, 27 } }; other: public static IEnumerable<IEnumerable<T>> Combinations<T>(this IEnumerable<T> elements, int k) { return k == 0 ? new[] { new T[0] } : elements.SelectMany((e, i) => elements.Skip(i + 1).**Combinations**(k - 1).Select(c => (new[] { e }).Concat(c))); } The above method has a error in my project, System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable' does not contain a definition for 'Combinations' and no extension method 'Combinations' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference? I use .Net Framework3.5, what is the reason it?

  • C: getopt with list of acceptable optarg. What is the best practise ?

    - by Xavier Maillard
Hi, I am writing a C program which is a frontend to a myriad tools. This fronted will be launched like this: my-frontend --action <AN ACTION> As all the tools have the same prefix, let say for this example this prefix is "foo". I want to concatenate "AN ACTION" to this prefix and exec this (if the tool exists). I have written something but my implementation uses strcmp to test that "AN ACTION" is a valid action. Even if this works, I do not like it. So I am looking for a nicer solution that would do the same. The list of possibilities is pretty small (less than 10) and static (the list is "hardcoded") but I am sure there is a more "C-ish" way to do this (using a struct or something like that). As I am not a C expert, I am asking for your help. Regards

  • Is this casting safe?

    - by Itsik
I need to write a Util function (in my c++cli app) that converts a String to a Double or Float or Int. template<typename T> static T MyConvert(String^ str) { return static_cast<T>(System::Convert::ToDouble(str)); } Is this safe? Can it somehow convert 2 to 1.999 and then to 1 if I call MyConvert<int>("2") ? I was wondering why the Convert class isn't templated in the first place? (That would let me call Convert<T> instead of Convert.ToDouble() for all types) This is C++/Cli so I can use any convert methods in c++ or .net, but I only know Convert.ToDouble()|ToString()|ToInt32()) Thanks

  • How to tell a method has a varargs argument using reflection?

    - by Anthony Kong
Here is a sample code package org.example; import java.lang.reflect.Method; class TestRef { public void testA(String ... a) { for (String i : a) { System.out.println(i); } } public static void main(String[] args){ Class testRefClass = TestRef.class; for (Method m: testRefClass.getMethods()) { if (m.getName() == "testA") { System.out.println(m); } } } } The output is public void org.example.TestRef.testA(java.lang.String[]) So the signature of the method is reported to take a array of String. Is there any mean in the reflection library I can tell that the method is originally declared to take a varargs?

  • Configuring MySQL Cluster Data Nodes

In this post, I’ll share best practices on the configuration of data nodes to achieve optimum performance on the latest generations of multi-core, multi-thread CPU designs. Configuring the Data Nodes The configuration of data node threads can be managed in two ways via the config.ini file: - Simply set MaxNoOfExecutionThreads to the appropriate number of threads to be run in the data node, based on the number of threads presented by the processors used in the host or VM. - Use the new ThreadConfig variable that enables users to configure both the number of each thread type to use and also which CPUs to bind them too. The flexible configuration afforded by the multi-threaded data node enhancements means that it is possible to optimise data nodes to use anything from a single CPU/thread up to a 48 CPU/thread server. Co-locating the MySQL Server with a single data node can fully utilize servers with 64 – 80 CPU/threads. It is also possible to co-locate multiple data nodes per server, but this is now only required for very large servers with 4+ CPU sockets dense multi-core processors. 24 Threads and Beyond! An example of how to make best use of a 24 CPU/thread server box is to configure the following: - 8 ldm threads - 4 tc threads - 3 recv threads - 3 send threads - 1 rep thread for asynchronous replication. Each of those threads should be bound to a CPU. It is possible to bind the main thread (schema management domain) and the IO threads to the same CPU in most installations. In the configuration above, we have bound threads to 20 different CPUs. We should also protect these 20 CPUs from interrupts by using the IRQBALANCE_BANNED_CPUS configuration variable in /etc/sysconfig/irqbalance and setting it to 0x0FFFFF. The reason for doing this is that MySQL Cluster generates a lot of interrupt and OS kernel processing, and so it is recommended to separate activity across CPUs to ensure conflicts with the MySQL Cluster threads are eliminated. When booting a Linux kernel it is also possible to provide an option isolcpus=0-19 in grub.conf. The result is that the Linux scheduler won't use these CPUs for any task. Only by using CPU affinity syscalls can a process be made to run on those CPUs. By using this approach, together with binding MySQL Cluster threads to specific CPUs and banning CPUs IRQ processing on these tasks, a very stable performance environment is created for a MySQL Cluster data node. On a 32 CPU/Thread server: - Increase the number of ldm threads to 12 - Increase tc threads to 6 - Provide 2 more CPUs for the OS and interrupts. - The number of send and receive threads should, in most cases, still be sufficient. On a 40 CPU/Thread server, increase ldm threads to 16, tc threads to 8 and increment send and receive threads to 4. On a 48 CPU/Thread server it is possible to optimize further by using: - 12 tc threads - 2 more CPUs for the OS and interrupts - Avoid using IO threads and main thread on same CPU - Add 1 more receive thread. Summary As both this and the previous post seek to demonstrate, the multi-threaded data node extensions not only serve to increase performance of MySQL Cluster, they also enable users to achieve significantly improved levels of utilization from current and future generations of massively multi-core, multi-thread processor designs. A big thanks to Mikael Ronstrom, Senior MySQL Architect at Oracle, for his work in developing these enhancements and best practices. • Twitter API + OAuth - 401 error developing locally using reverse SSH tunnel

    - by oliland
I'm developing a django application which lets users connect their Twitter account. As I'm developing locally, I have set up a reverse SSH tunnel so that the Twitter API has a valid callback url (myserver.net): ssh -nNTR :6969:localhost:8000 myserver.net On successful authentication, Twitter passes back its OAuth access tokens to myserver.net, which in turn attempts to access Twitter's API, which returns a 401 error. I assume that because the callback is different to the address which is accessing the API (myserver.net / localhost), Twitter denies me access. I have tried this: export http_proxy="http://myserver.net:3128" Where myserver.net:3128 is running a Squid Proxy server to tunnel Twitter's API requests from my development machine so they appear to be coming from myserver, but receive the same 401 error. When I deploy to a server with a proper hostname / static IP address it works fine. What else do I need to do?

  • Converting between unsigned and signed int safely

    - by polemic
I have an interface between a client and a server where a client sends (1) an unsigned value, and (2) a flag which indicates if value is signed/unsigned. Server would then static cast unsigned value to appropriate type. I later found out that this is implementation defined behavior and I've been reading about it but I couldn't seem to find an appropriate solution that's completely safe? I've read about type punning, pointer conversions, and memcpy. Would simply using a union type work? A UnionType containing signed and unsigned int, along with the signed/unsigned flag. For signed values, client sets the signed part of the union, and server reads the signed part. Same for the unsigned part. Or am I completely misunderstanding something? Side question: how do I know the specific behavior in this case for a specific scenario, e.g. windriver diab on PPC? I'm a bit lost on how to find such documentation.

  • numpy array C api

I don't understand why the first print is ok.

  • PHP: friend classes and ungreedy caller function/class

    - by avetis.kazarian
Is there any way to get the caller function with something else than debug_backtrace()? I'm looking for a less greedy way to simulate scopes like friend or internal. Let's say I have a class A and a class B. Until now, I've been using debug_backtrace(), which is too greedy (IMHO). I thought of something like this: <?php class A { public function __construct(B $callerObj) {} } class B { public function someMethod() { $obj = new A($this); } } ?> It might be OK if you want to limit it to one specific class, but let's say I have 300 classes, and I want to limit it to 25 of them? One way could be using an interface to aggregate: public function __construct(CallerInterface $callerObj) But it's still an ugly code. Moreover, you can't use that trick with static classes. Have any better idea?
