I'm starting a new desktop (Adobe AIR) app project but I found myself having difficulties with: stuck with thinking about overall UI design in the traditional page model not sure how to handle the navigation part in the UI not taking advantage of states deciding what should be implemented on client vs server side. Examples of what they'd want to do with the site is: Add/Edit/Remove content which will be displayed on various pages Manage a forum - Just the basic Drupal Forum module Add / Ban Users Respond to comments left using the webforum I see there is an Admin module, that looks pretty promising.   • Same project...multiple apps?

    We have a an iPhone app project that we wish to deploy multiple times under different client names. The individual apps will be very similar but will have different resources (icon, images etc) and config settings stored in plists (server names, options etc). What is the preferred means to manage this in Xcode? Obviously we really don't want different XCode projects for each App deployment since it's 90% shared code.

Or to ask it another way, in Visual Studio 2010, during WinForm Gui development, how do you navigate your Gui hierarchically?     A possible reason because a NullPointerException is a runtime exception is because every method can throw it, so every method would need to have a "throws NullPointerException", and would be ugly. But this happens with RemoteException. And a possible reason because RemoteException is not a runtime exception, is to tell it client to treat the exception. But every method in a remote environment need throws it, so there is no difference of throwing NullPointerException. Speculations? Was I clear?

  • looking to scan documents directly to be uploaded to a webpage

    I was hoping to do this from a flash plugin, kind of how flash accesses the microphone or webcam but it doesn't seem possible. Is this going to be possible using Java, or ActiveX, or some other strategy that I haven't looked at yet? The idea is to do it without a client install, or at least something lightweight and browser and platform independent, (and possibly the moon on a stick as welll ;-))

  • How to import php with javascript?

    I know JavaScript is client side and PHP is server-side. I also know this is an odd question. However, the CMS editor I'm using will not allow php to be stored to the database (it's the same editor used by Dupral). I can store JavaScript though. Can I import a php file with JavaScript. Or rather read the php file, store the content in a variable then out put the content to the screen?
