• Javascript, jQuery - how signed actions to just created object?

  I am trying to make simple list with ability to add and delete elements. For now I am working on adding and performing a simple action on each of list elements object (existing and added). Unfortunately I have met some difficulties with that. I am able to modify objects that are created at the beginning, but not one added during "webpage working". First of all my idea was to add AJAX to this, but I don't think it is the easiest way. I think that some time ago (I don't remember where) I read how to make this work, but now I don't know. I would be really glad if someone would help me with this or at least give a link to good explanation of this. • In Rails, how do I find records by "not equal"

  I'm building an application that contains a bunch of projects that are at various stages, and I need to list the completed projects, or the projects that are at various other stages. So to list the completed projects, I name a scope; named_scope :current, :conditions => { :current_stage => "Completed" } and use; @projects = Project.current in my controller. But I how do I find all the projects at other stages? I thought it would involve != but I can't get that to work. Any pointers very much appreciated. Thanks a lot

  Let's assume we have two models linked with a 1-to-many relationship (like clients and invoices - a client can have many invoices). In a view of a 'client' (let's say the 'show' view), there is a form to capture an 'invoice'. I found 2 approaches: This form should be handled by the 'invoice' controller (method create), having client_id passed as a parameter This form should be handled by a new method in 'client' controller, probably a PUT method defined in routes.rb. Is there a 'Rails way', or both of them are good? Is there a preffered way? Thanks!

  Hi, I have a select lists, which has lots of option. Depending on some input I want to hide few options from select list. To hide options from select list I have written jquery like $('#selectlist1 option').each(function(){ $(this).hide(); }) But this code seems to work only for firefox and its not working on chrom and ie. Whereas if I write $('#selectlist1').hide(); it works for all browser. Any pointer where should I look at?

  Hello All, I been recently playing with F# . I was wondering instead of using a for loop to generate a sequence to element which are multiplied with every other element in the list how can I use a Seq map function or something similar to generate something like below. So for e.g. I have a list [1..10] I would like to apply a fun which generates a result something like [(1*1); (1*2);(1*3); (1*4); (1*5)......(2*1);(2*2);(2*3).....(3*1);(3*2)...] How can i achieve this ?. • Proper Translation of equation to C#

  I am trying to replicate this equation: Slope(b) = (NSXY - (SX)(SY)) / (NSX2 - (SX)2) in C# but I'm getting the following issue: If I make the average of X = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 and the average Y = 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 it gives me a positive slope even though it is clearly counting down. If I place the same numbers into this calculator: http://www.easycalculation.com/statistics/regression.php It gives me a negative slope in the linked calculator with the same data.   I've recently worked with MongoDB and learned about its schemaless design. However, I'm confused with the term NoSQL? Why is it called that? Doesn't it use SQL or SQL-like queries? I've also read from an article that the main difference lies in how data is stored. In the case of MongoDB, it's stored like JSON documents. Is this true? Also, I'm confused why I always see 'NoSQL vs relational databases'. Aren't NoSQL databases relational? I believe documents in MongoDB are still related/linked through some keys (please correct me if I'm wrong). So why is it labeled as non-relational? Thanks in advance!

  So friends I am trying to use prettyPhoto in my wordpress theme but its not working at all. Both of its files - prettyPhoto.css and jquery.prettyPhoto.js are correctly linked in header.php file.   I'm having difficulty creating a month-count select query in SQL. Basically, I have a list of entries, all of which have a date associated with them. What I want the end result to be, is a list containing 12 rows (one for each month), and each row would contain the month number (1 for January, 2 for February, etc), and a count of how many entries had that month set as it's date. Something like this: Month - Count 1 - 12 2 - 0 3 - 7 4 - 0 5 - 9 6 - 0 I can get an result containing months that have a count of higher than 0, but if the month contains no entries, the row isn't created. I get this result just by doing SELECT Month(goalDate) as monthNumber, count(*) as monthCount FROM goalsList WHERE Year(goalDate) = 2012 GROUP BY Month(goalDate) ORDER BY monthNumber Thanks in advance for the help!

  I define a Post class which can link or be linked to multiple posts. To do this I added a PostLink class which specifies post_to and post_from. I generated the PostLink class by rails g model post_link from_post:integer to_post:integer and of course rake db:migrate, and added belongs_to :from_post, :class_name => 'Post' belongs_to :to_post, :class_name => 'Post' to the class. And I also have has_many :post_links in my Post class. I ran rails console and Post.new.post_links and got nil printed out, which is expected. However after I save a Post using p = Post.new p.save and then run p.post_links, it prints out the following error message: SQLite3::SQLException: no such column: post_links.post_id: SELECT "post_links".* FROM "post_links" WHERE "post_links"."post_id" = 1 So anybody know why after saving it to the database post_link can not be accessed?

  I am wondering if it is possible to to resubmit a form with a button click that calls up a javascript command. So this is basically what I'm trying to do - page 1: form; action = page2.php page 2: generate a randomized list according to parameters set by page 1 I would like to place a button on page 2 so that on click, it would be as if the user has hit F5, and a new list would be generated with the same parameters. I found a lot of help on Google with people trying NOT to get this to happen, but I'm not sure how to actually get it to happen..... Thank you!

  Hi, my xml file has a tag with an attribute "containsValue" which contains the "special" characters you can see in the subject: <original_msg_body id="msgBodySpecialCharsRule" containsValue=";ìè+òàù-<^èç°§_>!£$%&/()=?~`'#;" /> in my xml schema the attribute has xs:string: <xs:attribute name="containsValue" type="xs:string" /> I use this value inside a Java software which check if this value is contained inside another String. but I always obtain this Exception: javax.xml.bind.UnmarshalException - with linked exception: [org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The value of attribute "containsValue" associated with an element type "original_msg_body" must not contain the '<' character.] How can I solve it? I've tried changing the attribute type to xs:NMTOKEN, ut I get the same exception. Is there any other type? I think I could change the characters encoding, for example using the HTML representation, like <, but than could be tricky for the string comparison...

• SPARC T5-4 LDoms for RAC and WebLogic Clusters

  I wanted to use two Oracle SPARC T5-4 servers to simultaneously host both Oracle RAC and a WebLogic Server Cluster. I chose to use Oracle VM Server for SPARC to create a cluster like this: There are plenty of trade offs and decisions that need to be made, for example: Rather than configuring the system by hand, you might want to use an Oracle SuperCluster T5-8 My configuration is similar to jsavit's: Availability Best Practices - Example configuring a T5-8 but I chose to ignore some of the advice. • Creating a thematic map

  This post describes how to create a simple thematic map, just a state population layer, with no underlying map tile layer. The map shows states color-coded by total population. The map is interactive with info-windows and can be panned and zoomed. The sample code demonstrates the following: Displaying an interactive vector layer with no background map tile layer (i.e. purpose and use of the Universe object) Using a dynamic (i.e. defined via the javascript client API) color bucket style Dynamically changing a layer's rendering style Specifying which attribute value to use in determining the bucket, and hence style, for a feature (FoI) The result is shown in the screenshot below. The states layer was defined, and stored in the user_sdo_themes view of the mvdemo schema, using MapBuilder. • Exchange 2010 OWA - a few questions about using multiple mailboxes

  We have an Exchange 2010 SP2 deployment and we need that our users could access multiple mailboxes in OWA. The problem is that a user (eg John Smith) needs to access not just somebody else's (eg Tom Anderson) mailboxes, but his OWN mailboxes, e.g. in different domains: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], etc. Of course it is preferable for the user to work with all of his mailboxes from a single window. Such mailboxes can be added as multiple Exchange accounts in Outlook, that works almost fine. But in OWA, there are problems: 1) In the left pane - as I've learned - we can open only Inbox folders from other mailboxes. No way to view all folders like in Outlook? 2) With Send-As permissions set, when trying to send a message from another address, that message is saved in the Sent Items folder of the mailbox that is opened in OWA, and not in the mailbox the message is sent from. The same thing with the trash can. Is there a way to fix that? Also, this problem exists in desktop Outlook when mailboxes are added automatically via the Auto Mapping feature, so that we need to turn it off and add the accounts manually. Is there a simpler workaround? 3) Okay, suppose we only open Inbox folders in the left pane. The problem is that the mailbox names shown there are formed from Display Name attributes. But those names are all identical! All the mailboxes are owned by John Smith, so they should be all named John Smith - so that letter recepient sees "John Smith" in the "from" field, no matter what mailbox it is sent from. Also, the user knows what's his name - no need to tell him. He wants to know what mailbox he works with. So we need a way to either: a) customize OWA to show mailbox email address instead of user Display Name, or b) make Exchange use another attribute to put in the "from" field when sending letters 4) Okay, we can switch between mailboxes using "Open Other Mailbox" in the upper-right corner menu. But: a) To select a mailbox we need to enter its name (or first letters). It there a way to show a list of links to mailboxes the user has full access to? Eg in the page header... b) If we start entering the first letters, we see a popup list with possible mailboxes to be opened. But there are all mailboxes (apparently from GAL), not only mailboxes the user has permission to open! How to filter that popup list? c) The same problem as in (3) with mailbox naming. We can see the opened mailbox email address ONLY in the page URL, which is insufficient for many users. In the left pane we see "John Smith" which is useless. 5) Each mailbox is tied with a separate user in AD. If one has several mailboxes, we need to have additional dummy AD accounts, create additional OUs to store them, etc. That's not very nice, is there any standartized, optimal way to build such a structure? We would really appreciate any answers or additional info for any of these questions. Thank you in advance.
