    I want to write data at a specified value in a text file from a text box. Here is a example: item_begin etcitem 3344 item_type=etcitem is first line and item_begin weapon 3343 item_type=weapon is second. Well i want to replace item_type=weapon at second line with item_type=armor. Here is code so far: var data2 = File.WriteAllLines("itemdata.txt") .Where(x => x.Contains("3343")) .Take(1) .SelectMany(x => x.Split('\t')) .Select(x => x.Split('=')) .Where(x => x.Length > 1) .ToDictionary(x => x[0].Trim(), x => x[1]); But returns error at WriteAllLines. Here is the readline part code: var data = File.ReadLines("itemdata.txt") .Where(x => x.Contains("3343")) .Take(1) .SelectMany(x => x.Split('\t')) .Select(x => x.Split('=')) .Where(x => x.Length > 1) .ToDictionary(x => x[0].Trim(), x => x[1]); //call values textitem_type.Text = data["item_type"]; And want to write the same value I change on textitem_type.Text after read.     I have a .gitignore file in my project directory and I placed the following entry in the file to not to commit the files in the following folder: EStudyMongoDb.Integration.Test\ For some reason Git pushed the files to repository anyway! Anyway! now I want to remove those files that have been pushed to the repository but I don't want to loose my local changes to the files inside the folder. How can I do that?

    I have the following directory structure: vardir1 vardir2 vardir3 vardir4 constantdir1 Inside constantdir1, i have an ant build script which takes the list of vardir1 to vardir4 and compiles them sequentially. The situation is, vardir1 to vardir4 may or may not exist all the time. Right now I have hard coded the values in the list and checking to see if the vardir is available before I kick off its compilation. Is there any way I can dynamically populate this list in my ant build script?

    Hi I am writing a GWT app running on App Engine, which needs to modify a XML File serverside. As far as I know there is no way to modify a XML file in the WAR directory or any subdirectories. What other possibilities do I have to store that data? Can I use the Data Store somehow or should I look for storage space somewhere else and access it there (if so any recommendations?)?   • Issue with UIImage files not being found on phone

    Note: Using Monotouch. I have a directory called Images where I have all my PNG files. In my code I have the following _imgMinusDark = UIImage.FromFile("images/MinusDark.png"); On the simulator it runs fine, on the phone it's null. I have the Images folder content (all the PNGs) in my MonoDevelop marked as Content in terms of Build Action. What am I missing? thanks

    i'm having trouble navigating the maze of distribution tools for python and debian; cdbs, debhelper, python-support, python-central, blah blah blah .. my application is a fairly straightforward one - a single python package (directory containing modules and a __init__.py), a script for running the program (script.py) and some icons and menu items (.desktop files). is there a simple straightforward way to make a .deb file out of these, or should i brave the nonsensical tools listed above?

Just want commonly used stuff like stl::string, to display in a friendlier manner. Does anyone know. how I can accomplish this? Is this just question of specifying a path to the autoexp.dat file somewhere. The file is available under the Visual Studio installation directory.

  • Sparse checkouts and svn:externals

    I'm trying to do a sparse checkout of a folder containing externals, but none of the externals are being checked out. This issue seems to indicate that this behavior may be by design, or at least that it isn't clear what the behavior should be. From my point of view, the obvious behavior is that externals are treated just as any other directory, and checked out following the same sparse checkout rules. Is there a way to work around this except manually checking out the externals?
