  • Changing new Tomcat settings from the defaults in STS Eclipse

    I find myself continually having to delete my Tomcat 7 server in STS Eclipse and re-installing. Each time I have to then: a) increase start up time from 45 sec and b) increase Tomcat memory by adding something like this on the "VM Arguments" under the "Arguments" tab: "-XX:MaxPermSize=512m -XX:PermSize=512m -Xms256m -Xmx1024m -XX:-UseGCOverheadLimit" How do you change defaults for a) and b)? Google has plenty of info on changing these one time, but I want to change the defaults for a "new", and on this the search is coming up a blank. Thanks

    I'm having trouble with PHP text parsing I have a txt file which has this kind of information: sometext::sometext.0 = INTEGER: 254 What i need is to get the last value of 254 as variable in PHP. in this txt file this last value can change from 0 to 255 "sometext::sometext.0 = INTEGER: " this part doesn't change at all.   • How can I set environment variables depending on directory

    If I have 'export BLA="hey there"' in .profile in my home directory, how can I change this later in other directories just by cd into the other directory? Also, is there a way to just set a new environment variable when I cd into a directory. My first attempt was to just make another .bashrc file in the directory where I want the change but apparently that proved less than effective. I'm on OS X btw.

    I bind the ItemsSource of a ComboBox to an ObservableCollection<MyClass>. In code I change the collection (e.g. edit the MyClass.Name property). The problem: the change is not reflected in the dropdown box if the ComboBox, yet when I seled the item from the dropdown it is displayed correctly in the selected item box of the ComboBox.   • Changing the default TestRunner in Eclipse.

    All tests should be run with jUnit3, if i run a non-configured Test, it tries to use the default-TestRunner (jUnit4). So, i have to go into the run/debug configuration, change the TestRunner to "jUnit3" and run it again. On EVERY Test. This just disturbs the workflow. So, is there an option to REMOVE jUnit4 as possible TestRunner, or even better, change the Default TestRunner to jUnit3 ? Thanks in Advance,

    I have a set field in my db that is longtext. I have used prices in this field and cannot change the field type to integer. In my query however I need to sort by these fields and assume I should treat them as an integer. is there another way to query these results to sort by price as an integer and not longtext without having to change the field type? at the moment 3900000 is smaller than 4300 in my result set.

    in my config.php where i have all constants i set the PATH to a absolute path. but this means that when i move my application folder i have to change this path. i wondered if its better to set a relative path, in that way whenever i move my application between production and development folder, i dont have to change it. how do you guys do when you move between folders?

    hi guys I had this error and i don't know how to fix it Message=Cannot resolve the collation conflict between "Arabic_CI_AS" and "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS" in the equal to operation. note: I already change the collation from the database option -- Collation i change it from "Arabic_CI_AS" to "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS" and i am still getting the same error !! any suggestion to solve this ?
