We're using the MS Chart for .net, but encountering the "image not found" problem for which there doesn't seem to be a solution.
Are there any alternatives for generating simple charts?
I know some services that encode the description of an image inside on an URL.
For example:
yuml.me for drawing UML Diagrams: or
www.codecogs.com for rendering LaTeX equations:
I really like these services to use them inside my javadoc to illustrate the documentation. On stackoverflow.com it's a bit tricky to encode these URLs, see my request at meta.stackoverflow.com.
Question
Are there any other rendering services that are useful for documenting source code?
Do I need to install .net 2.0 on the device, where .net 3.5 is installed?
So far my application works on .net 2.0 (which potentially should be faster) but the long term plan is to port it to .net 3.5. I need to order devices and the OEM needs to know which version of .net should be add to Windows CE image (version 5.0). Shall I ask him to add both .net 2.0 and .net 3.5 ?
I have an image which is in the form of a ByteArrayInputStream. I want to take this and make it something that I can save to a location in my filesystem.
I've been going around in circles, could you please help me out.
Input: I have a LaTeX file, with plain text & math formulas.
Desired output: I want a list of elements, where each element is:
x-coordinate
y-coordinate
font_name
character_id
Basically, I want to take a LaTeX file, r"render it", but instead of printing it / getting an image, I want it to say "okay, you have a Sigma symbol here, then you have a 'x' symbol there, ...)
What's the easiest way to achieve this? (I'm on Linux)
Thanks!
On my dev setup, the image_tag is mysteriously pointing to my public www server (i.e. computing the image path as http://www.domain.com/images/blah.jpg). Where is this option set?
Hi
i have a huge database, around 1 TB in size, most of the space is consumed by a table which stores images, the tables has right now almost 800k rows.
server response time has increased, i would like to know which techniques should i use or you recomend, partitioning? o how to reorganize the table
every row is accessed by the image id column, and it has its clustered index by that column, and every two days i reorganize the index and every 7 days i rebuild it, but it seems not to be working
any suggestions?
i want to do a screen capture of a running silverlight 3 application, from within the app, and then i want to present this to the user as a thumbnail, say in an Image control.
am i dreaming?
Okay, just to make it quick.
1) Go to www.simplefire.com.au
- with Firefox / IE
- with Chrome.
2) The image on the right seems to have blue border on Firefox / IE, but Chrome displays the
page perfectly.
Anyone knows what the problem might be?
I'm using wordpress and if it helps my style.css could be found here:

Thanks for the help folks!
I'm trying to develop an application using UIWebView. The app is loading remote URL's, so in order to make it quick I want it to use the images included in the application bundle. I was wondering if there is a way to do it without forcing the application to manually replace the address of each image to point into local resources?
I want to dynamically load .swf file in a player(like FLV player of as3) in as3.When I shall click on an image the corresponding video will be played on the player on right side(like you tube). Is there something (like FLV player) for .swf files with play, pause, resume, scrubber options to play in web?
I want to merge 5 "sublayers" to one single texture (you know, somethin' like Flatten Image in Photoshop) in OpenGL ES 1.x iPhone. I'm new to OpenGL, and just haven't find the answer yet.
Hi all,
I would like to know if it's possible to use javascript to open a popup window containing an image, and at the same time have the print dialog show. Once someone clicks on print, the popup closes.
Is this easily attainable?
On some android's native browser touching the page seems to stop the display from being updated until the finger is released. This occurs for both html element based animation (switching classes) and for canvas based animation. It does not however stop normal js execution and other events are fired as normal. On devices with this problem the dolphin browser also seems effected (not firefox though).
Touchstart/move both have preventDefault() fired as well as stopPropergation(), cancelBubble = true; and e.returnValue = false;. In the CSS webkit selection has also been disabled. The page will not scroll.
A similar question has been asked here:
Does Android browser lock DOM on touchStart?
but I'd like to find out if this behaviour can be overcome, or at least to discover what devices will be effected by the problem, is it a device or version android issue? If you cannot answer the question running the demo and reporting your experience along with your device model and useragent (displayed at bottom of demo page) as a comment might help others or myself answer the question.
Here is a demo and steps to reproduce the behaviour. A QR code for the link can be found here https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/canvas-test-pd/tmp.png.
https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/canvas-test-pd/index.html
The web page has a canvas at the top and a div with a background image at the bottom. Every second the canvas is cleared and a different image displayed and the div has it's class switched (both toggle between 0 and 1 pngs). Once this has toggled a few times place your finger on the canvas (the top grey box) and hold it there. Wait to see if the animation continues (sometimes it will once or twice then stops) and if there are any visual distortions.
Update
It seems that the Galaxy Tab running 3.2 requires handlers for touchstart/end of document, not just required divs for the screen to continue updating the display. Thanks jimpic.
I'm starting to believe it's an issue caused by manufacturers skins, although this is difficult to prove.
I'm trying to display with css the navigation buttons that are located inside my jquery rotating banner.
Which are:
<a class="ls-nav-prev" href="#"></a>
<a class="ls-nav-next" href="#"></a>
For some reason I can't show them, I've tried changing their position, setting a z-index, adding a background-image and color.
Here's the website:

This is what I have:
This is what I should have (buttons on corners)

postgre -
mysql -

i created a form and append a input button, but i found it can't work in IE6, when click the button, the form auto submitted. can anybody help me.thank you.
I have one node(ImageView) that displays an image and another node(rectangle) that resides on top of it. The behavior I need is that when the mouse is dragged(press-drag-release gesture) over the rectangle, both the nodes should move coherently. My thought process goes in the following direction:
• Move both the nodes by the same distance in the direction of the drag.
For this option(maybe there are more options) I need the distance between the start and end of the mouse drags. I tried capturing the start and end coordinates of the drag but have been unsuccessful. I think I am getting lost in which handlers to implement.
The code I have is below:
import javafx.event.EventHandler;
import javafx.geometry.Rectangle2D;
import javafx.scene.image.ImageView;
import javafx.scene.input.MouseEvent;
public class MyView
{
double mouseDragStartX;
double mouseDragEndX;
double mouseDragStartY;
double mouseDragEndY;
ImageView imageView;
public MyView()
{
imageView = new ImageView("C:\\temp\\test.png");
}
private void setRectangleEvents(final MyObject myObject)
{
myObject.getRectangle().setOnMousePressed(new EventHandler<MouseEvent>()
{
@Override
public void handle(MouseEvent mouseEvent)
{
mouseDragStartX = mouseEvent.getX();
mouseDragStartY = mouseEvent.getY();
mouseEvent.consume();
}
});
myObject.getRectangle().setOnMouseReleased(new EventHandler<MouseEvent>()
{
public void handle(MouseEvent mouseEvent)
{
mouseDragEndX = mouseEvent.getX();
mouseDragEndY = mouseEvent.getY();
myObjectDraggedHandler();
}
});
}
private void myObjectDraggedHandler()
{
Rectangle2D viewport = this.imageView.getViewport();
double newX = this.imageView.getImage().getWidth()
+ (mouseDragEndX - mouseDragStartX);
double newY = this.imageView.getImage().getHeight()
+ (mouseDragEndY - mouseDragStartY);
this.imageView.setViewport(new Rectangle2D(newX, newY, viewport.getWidth(), viewport
.getHeight()));
}
}
P.S: This code is just for indicating what I am trying to implement and will not compile correctly.
Or maybe my question should just have been:
How to capture the length or span of a mouse drag?
I've looked around a bit for a great JavaScript Sprite Sheet animator lib/engine but couldn't find any good ones so I thought I'd ask around =).
What I'm looking for in the engine is:
Animate an image in a non-canvas setting (ex: div via css or img
tags)
Control frame rate/animation speed
Flags to loop or to animate
once etc.
Are there any engines like this out there? If not I can always make my own but then again, I don't want to re-invent the wheel =].

Is there a method to include CSS background images in print?
If i use image replace techniques for (which is considered as a best practice) Logo then logo doesn't come in print.
and many places in site CSS background is saving bandwidth and my time both. but client is asking to include many things in print also.
What should i do?
