    Hi, At run time, I add one control to a tabpage and I notice that it takes 0.5 sec to do it. It's rather long and I would like to reduce this time. I tried Suspend/ResumeLayout but for only one action it's no relevant and do not improved anythng. Any ideas ? Thx

    I'm exporting a table of data to csv format, eg "COL1","COL2","COL3" "1","some text", "£232.00" "2","some more text", "£111.00" "3","other text", "£2.00" The code to export is fairly simple using an ashx handler context.Response.Clear() context.Response.ContentType = "text/csv" context.Response.AddHeader("Content-disposition", "attachment;filename=data.csv") context.Response.AddHeader("Cache-Control", "must-revalidate") context.Response.AddHeader("Pragma", "must-revalidate") context.Response.Write(data) context.Response.Flush() context.Response.End() My issue is when excel trys to open the exported file the character  appears before all £ signs, eg £232.00 when the value should be £232.00

    Does the label tag work with radio buttons? If so, how do you use it? I have a form that displays like this: First Name: (text field) Hair Color: (color drop-down) Description: (text area) Salutation: (radio buttons for Mr., Mrs., Miss) I'd like to use the label tag for each label in the left column to define its connection to the appropriate control in the right column. But If I use a radio button, the spec seems to indicate that suddenly the actual "Salutation" label for the form control no longer belongs in the label tag, but rather the options "Mr., Mrs., etc." go in the label tag. I've always been a fan of accessibility and the semantic web, but this design doesn't make sense to me. The label tag explicitly declares labels. The option tag selection options. How do you declare a label on the actual label for a set of radio buttons? UPDATE: Here is an example with code: <tr><th><label for"sc">Status:</label></th> <td>&#160;</td> <td><select name="statusCode" id="sc"> <option value="ON_TIME">On Time</option> <option value="LATE">Late</option> </select></td></tr> This works great.     why does the following js expression: "test1 foo bar test2".replace(/foo.bar/, "$'") result in the following string? "test1 test2 test2" is the $' in the replace string some sort of control code for including everything after the match??? this behavior was screwing with me most of the day. can anyone explain this? thanks a lot ps- this is the case in all browsers i've tested

    I have an application that takes voltages and temperatures as analog inputs and does some processing using an algorithm which involves signal processing such as low-pass filtering, exponential smoothing, and other steps which might typically be done in a high-level programming language such as C or C++. I'm curious how I could perform these same steps using a PLC, and in particular, the Allen-Bradley Control-Logix system? It seems to me that the instruction set with ladder logic is too limited for this. Could I perform this using structured text?

    Hi everybody! In a winforms application i 'm storing one Wingdings char in a SQL Server 2005 field of type NVARCHAR(1). Storing, retrieving and showing up this char in a control works fine.     I'm using a datapager control on my listview to perform paging in it. When paging through the table, I need to perform some validations. When these validations are not successfull, the paging should be cancelled. I currently perform the validation in the PagePropertiesChanging event of the ListView, however, the arguments do not provide a Cancel property. protected void MyListView_PagePropertiesChanging(object sender, PagePropertiesChangingEventArgs e) { if (!Validate()) { // cancel the paging action} } Does anyone know if canceling the paging is possible and how to perform it?     I want to slight variation of the custom cell code example from the MS website How to: Customize Cells and Columns in the Windows Forms DataGridView Control by Extending Their Behavior and Appearance by passing an argument to the custom cell constructor. Public Sub New(ByVal a As Object) End Sub but then when I run the code it throws and exception MissingMethodException occured No parameterless constructor defined for this object. Does this mean that custom cells must have a parameterless constructor? Thanks.

    As you can see in my jsFiddle example, I have a diagram that uses jQuery Map Highlight plugin to allow users to click to different parts of the diagram and see the corresponding text to the left. Right now, the only way to interact with the diagram is by clicking on it. I'd like to give users the ability to hit previous and next buttons to control it as well.
