• how can I prevent my SESSION to be overwritten on pageLoad of my MasterPage

  I'm new to asp world, and I have to keep my new job :) Switching form php to asp.net 3.5 (never used before). What would be the best practice for storing a SESSION variable in my project ? How can I prevent my SESSION to be overwritten if my initialisation code is in the onPageLoad method of my MasterPage ? My variables keeps beeing overwritten, please someone help me and tell me if there is any other solution than dealing with this pageLoad problem. Thank you all

• Silverlight changes the io.Stream to byte[]

  I have created a WCF service for uploading images , which accepts System.IO.Stream as input parameter and am using streaming. When I added the service reference in Silverlight project then it automatically changed the parameter of my WCF method from System.IO.Stream to byte[]. Can anyone suggest if there is a way around this so that I can get System.IO.Stream type rather than byte[]. Thanks in advance

  I can do element-to-element binding in WPF: For example, I've got a window that has a slider control and a textbox, and the textbox dynamically displays the Value property of the slider as the user moves the slider. But how do i do this across seperate windows (in the same project, same namespace) ? The reason is that my main application window containing the textbox has a menu option that will open an 'options' window containing the slider control. Thanks.

  How do I get smarty syntax highlighting in Eclipse PDT? The only project I was able to find is SmartyPDT, but it's outdated and isn't working with my current Eclipse install (PDT All in one, with Eclipse 3.5). EDIT: I recently found this post asking the same question from a long time ago. But the plugin linked in the accepted answer there is out of date now. Are you missing references to Microsoft.CSharp.dll and System.Core.dll" I do have System.Core.dll, do have I to find Microsoft.CSharp somewhere?   Hi. We just upgraded to visual studio 2010 RC1 and all of a sudden our controls inside tabcontainer disappeared from the designer file. Actually, it all seemed good in the beginning, the project compiled nicely, but as soon as we did any change in the markup of a page and build the code for the controls inside the tabcontainer disappeared and we got errormessages like so "Error 3 The name 'ddlPeriodicityStartInMonth' does not exist in the current context " Does anyone know if any changes are made to tabcontainer to visual studio 2010 or if this just is a bug? Each time I want to test I have to go to Flash CS5, publish Main.swf and then run Preload.swf.   Hello I have created a setup for my windows application in .NET 2008 After building the same i have the .msi and setup.exe files in my release folder. The problem i am facing is : I can install the application using the msi installer files from the shared network folder. But when i copy the installer locally and tried to install it, i get the following error: Error reading file.Please Try again.   I have a Pylons project and a SQLAlchemy model that implements schema qualified tables: class Hockey(Base): __tablename__ = "hockey" __table_args__ = {'schema':'winter'} hockey_id = sa.Column(sa.types.Integer, sa.Sequence('score_id_seq', optional=True), primary_key=True) baseball_id = sa.Column(sa.types.Integer, sa.ForeignKey('summer.baseball.baseball_id')) This code works great with Postgresql but fails when using SQLite on table and foreign key names (due to SQLite's lack of schema support) sqlalchemy.exc.OperationalError: (OperationalError) unknown database "winter" 'PRAGMA "winter".table_info("hockey")' () I'd like to continue using SQLite for dev and testing. Is there a way of have this fail gracefully on SQLite?

Whenever I rebuild the class library and then refresh the page, it takes ages the first time, and is then quick again subsequently. • php require and autoload

  I use __autoload to load classes, and I keep getting errors that no class is found but file get's loaded ok. Then if I change something in a file, just something like add a new line and save it, everything works fine and class is then found. But this is a great problem cause there are thousands of files in this project and I don't want to change them one by one. I'm using php 5.3.0 on windows. What could be the problem?
