When does UIViewController's viewDidUnload automatically get called? Yes I know, when the view unloads. But when does that happen automatically? How can I do it manually? Thanks!
How does Trie and B+ tree compare for indexing lexicographically sorted strings [on the order some billions]?
It should support range queries as well.
From perf. as well as implementation complexity point of view.
I am trying to build an aspx page at runtime (by another aspx page which finally redirects to the new one). As far as I understand, aspx pages MUST be precompiled before a user can view them. In other words, the aspx page must be compiled to the DLL in the /bin folder.
Is there a away to tell IIS, or to order it by VB.NET code, to compile a page before I am redirecting my user to the page?
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
I am trying to create a application with a tab bar and a common WebView.
The different tabs shows/hides different divs in the WebView but maintain the state otherwise, so I need to share the web view between the tabs.
I am trying to use a nib, but I think that might not be the right solution here.
Any pointers for doing this correctly?
Hello, I have implemented a routing protocol on an Android 1.6 mobile that uses wireless (ad-hoc) network in order to exchange messages. Now I would like to evaluate it under an energy consumption point of view, the base would be to try to calculate the energy wasted to transmit a single packet, do anybody has any idea how to do that? Software/hardware solutions are welcome! Thanx :)
When I create a view different from index action (for example the action video/add) the page is without css and layout. For index action is everything ok. Any helps?
If I've got a Container with a child component that is off either the top or the left hand side:
Is there any way to get scroll bars to show up? ie, so I can scroll up and get the button back in view, the same way I could if the button was off the bottom right side?
Thanks!
Here is the viewDidLoad:
[self.view setBackgroundColor:[UIColor colorWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"bg.png"]]];

I have a list of strings where by each string is a url to a pdf document. All I want to do is cycle through this list and display each url as a hyperlink on my page. I've seen this done before in MVC where the collection is made avaliable to the view and you can just do a foreach etc etc but I don't know how to do it on a normal asp.net page...
Any help appreciated, cheers!
I'd like a timer class that allows me to call:
.start() .getElapsedTime() .stop() .reset()
Does Java have such a class, or do I need to use my own (which I've already written).
From a best-practice point of view, I should use the Java class libraries classes if they exist, but I'm not sure whether this one does.
Can anyone give me a link to the javadoc for this class, if it exists?
I have a table view that gets refreshed two different ways. One is through a button and the other is when I call my refresh method, which is the same method that I use for the button, but for some reason, when I hit the button it works, but when I call it through a different class it doesn't.
Here's the code that I use to refresh the tableview:
Msqv *qv = [Msqv new];
[qv refresh:self]; //refresh is an IBAction that is used by the button
If we only need to graphically authorize a user,
view a few tables representation (from database),
ability to change data in the database visually
what tools to use to write such a web application that will run on Tomcat?
What framework allows to do that in the most straightforward, easy-to-manage and elegant way?
I know that when a row is selected in list view, the function onListItemClick() is called.
I want to know which function is called when a row in ListView is highlighted(not selected).
I making an application to view videos form youtube, and I think it is very easy to write a code to make the user be able download the videos and save it in the documents folder of the application, my questions are:
1) is it legal to do this, and is there any concern of the application being rejected?
2) is it possible to make the user watch the video and when he finish (watched all the video) get this data and save it, (not to download it again since he already watched the video and downloaded it).
I have a contact form that can be hidden using .slideToggle() but I want the tab used to Toggle the form to change text based on wether the form is in view or hidden.
Here is the jQuery:
$("#slider").click(function() {
$("#form_wrap").animate({ opacity: 1.0 },200).slideToggle();
});
I want the text of #form_wrap to read 'Hide' then 'Show'.
Any help appreciated!
The Apache Module mod_status allows you to view the current average requests per second being served. It measures this average over a fairly long period of time however (I don't know exactly how long). Is it possible to modify this length to something shorter so that I can get a more accurate idea of the current load on the server?
Need a ref to the window in which a view is inside (no matter how deep inside). Usually there is only one window in an iPhone app. How would I access that the most easy way? Is there something cooler than getting the app delegate to access the window?
Hello all,
Is it possible to use fullcalendar on iphone native app reading events from servlet on a remote server? Features required are Month, Week and Day view. No need of adding, editing or deleting events. Clicking on event display the summary of the event. I would be very happy if fullcalendar is capable of the same, if no what are the other solutions. Expecting your guidance.
Thanks in advance
Is there a library or good tutorial which covers creating in-app settings, like this:
http://img.skitch.com/20090625-s8bf6ahybwe3cesd1id38h3nt.jpg
What I would like is if it:
doesn't use the built-in Settings app
is controlled by a plist file with various Dictionaries and Arrays
creates a nice looking table view
allows text fields as well as switches and sliders and ticks etc
doesn't have any of the annoying problems I've come across when trying to build my own version (not scrolling to show the textfield, cells disappearing)
It would appear that the iphone dev world is crying out for such a thing.
THANK YOU!
I can't seem to find this and I feel like it should be easy. In Ruby on Rails, how do I take:

and turn it into
June 14th, 2010
Can I not just use a helper in the view?
I need to generate links in my views using the url helpers such as user_path(@user), the catch is, in some cases I don't know what model I am creating this link for i.e. whether it is a user or a store or someting else
I would like to be able to determine this on the fly and call the appropriate view helper, currently I am doing the following, but I am wondering if there is a drier way of doing it.
if object.class == "Store"
store_path(object)
elsif object.class == "User"
user_path(object)
...etc
I want to be able to edit and delete resources myself, but not allow users of the application to do so.
Is there an easy way of doing this in Rails?
An incomplete solution would be just to remove the "delete" and "edit" buttons from the index view, but that doesn't disable their ability to do so via direct HTTP requests.
Running Rails 2.2.2 and ruby 1.8.7
