  • async_write/async_read problems while trying to implement question-answer logic

    Good day. I'm trying to implement a question - answer logic using boost::asio. On the Client I have: void Send_Message() { .... boost::asio::async_write(server_socket, boost::asio::buffer(&Message, sizeof(Message)), boost::bind(&Client::Handle_Write_Message, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); .... } void Handle_Write_Message(const boost::system::error_code& error) { .... std::cout << "Message was sent.\n"; .... boost::asio::async_read(server_socket_,boost::asio::buffer(&Message, sizeof(Message)), boost::bind(&Client::Handle_Read_Message, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); .... } void Handle_Read_Message(const boost::system::error_code& error) { .... std::cout << "I have a new message.\n"; .... } And on the Server i have the "same - logic" code: void Read_Message() { .... boost::asio::async_read(client_socket, boost::asio::buffer(&Message, sizeof(Message)), boost::bind(&Server::Handle_Read_Message, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); .... } void Handle_Read_Message(const boost::system::error_code& error) { .... std::cout << "I have a new message.\n"; .... boost::asio::async_write(client_socket_,boost::asio::buffer(&Message, sizeof(Message)), boost::bind(&Server::Handle_Write_Message, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); .... } void Handle_Write_Message(const boost::system::error_code& error) { .... std::cout << "Message was sent back.\n"; .... } Message it's just a structure. And the output on the Client is: Message was sent. Output on the Server is: I have a new message. And that's all. After this both programs are still working but nothing happens. I tried to implement code like: if (!error) { .... } else { // close sockets and etc. } But there are no errors in reading or writing. Both programs are just running normally, but doesn't interact with each other. This code is quite obvious but i can't understand why it's not working. Thanks in advance for any advice.

    I have the following c# code embedded in a literal <% %> of a c# asp.net page string commandString = "SELECT tblData.Content " + "FROM tblData " + "WHERE (tblData.ref = N\'%"+myCurrentREF+"%\')"; This is breaking my code since it apparently cannot use the \' escape character. Why is it so? other escape characters like \" are working so why isn't \' working?

  • OnDataBinding firing before OnLoad of a CustomGridViewControl in a UserControl?

    Hi, I have a CustomGridViewControl that is on a UserControl, the UserControl is loaded outside of the Page_Init when a treeview in the page is clicked that changes the view, than on subsequent postbacks the UserControl is loaded in Page_Init. The custom gridview is bound to a dataview that is dynamically retrieved. Problem is that the OnDataBinding of the CustomGridView is firing before the OnLoad of the CustomGridView, which is causing me to not be able to get embedded resource urls. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    I just installed a number of updates to my machine, and am now encountering the following error when I run an asp.net MVC application on my local machine: Compiler Error Message: CS0006: Metadata file 'C:\WINNT\assembly\GAC_32\System.EnterpriseServices\2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a\System.EnterpriseServices.dll' could not be found I have removed the reference to this from the project (not really sure why it was there in the first place) but still get the error. Any idea on how to resolve this?

    Is it possible to set a default behaviour for custom (non-native) methods/functions in Java? For example, I would like to change the default "Function" to do a System.out.println("message") whenever called. So, when a custom method/function is being created: public String testMethod() { //custom code } it should execute the newly added default behaviour (in this case the system output), before the custom code is run. Even if this would be a bad excercise, is it possible? Maybe by extending the function class or something?

    I'm struggling to finish a java exercise, it involves using 2d arrays to dinamically create and display a table based on a command line parameter. I found the issue, and it's because the first for loop changes the array order more times than needed and basically it returns as it was at the beginning. I know that probably there's a way to achieve this by writing more code, but i always tend to nest as much as possible to "optimize" the code while i write it, so that's why i tried solving this exercise by using less variables and loops as possible.     in .net Claim-based identity framework If i wanted to restrict users to do an operation (view or edit) on let's say an account, a particular account #123456.(i am talking about business entity, like a bank account.) Is it a good idea to create a claim for each account they can view or edit? Any disadvantages of having a lot of claims in a set? a system admin might have access to all accounts in the system thus creating hundreds of claims (maybe more than one for each account)
