  • Changing class of h2 inside specific div

    - by user1985060
I want to make it so that everytime you click on an 'h2' tag, the 'input' inside gets selected and the 'h2' tag changes background, but if another 'h2' tag is clicked, the current highlight and 'input' selection changes accordingly. problem is that I have 3 different that do the same and with my code all the 3 forms are affected rather one. How do i limit my changes to only be contained to that form. Here is some code for clarification ' <form> ... <h2 onclick="document.getElementById(1001).checked='True' $('h2').removeClass('selected'); $(this).addClass('selected'); "> CONTENT <input type="radio" name="radio" id="1001" value="1001" /> </h2> ... </form>

  • Search box inside a div. Django

    - by Juliette Dupuis
In my django app I display a list of elements (friends name) thanks to a loop: <div> {% for friend in group %} <p>{{ friend.name }} <p> {% endfor %} </div> I would like to create a search box on the top of my list in order to be able to find only the friends the user wants. I would like the search bar does not need to click to send the request (an example is the Airtime searchbox on top of the facebook friends list). I have absolutely no idea on how to do that, and I'm looking for hints or tips to start. Thank you very much for your help.

  • removing image tag from memory

    - by Chapsterj
I have seen some code to check if a background image on a div is loaded. What they are doing is adding a img tag to memory but storing it in a variable and using that to see if the image is loaded with the load event. My question is does the $img tag stay in memory and how would I be able to remove that tag when the load event has been called. var $div = $('div'), bg = $div.css('background-image'); if (bg) { var src = bg.replace(/(^url\()|(\)$|[\"\'])/g, ''), $img = $('<img>').attr('src', src).on('load', function() { // do something, maybe: $div.fadeIn(); }); } }); I got this code above from this post

  • fadeIn on page load

    - by Brad
I want to fade in a background of an entry within a div - this is to show the user what the most recent entry is on page load. I want it to do it on page load, without having to click or hover or anything, just when the page loads. I have this: $(document).ready(function() { $('#box').fadeIn(5000, function() { // Animation complete }); }); Is it something like pageLoad? Any help is appreciated.

  • ie8 fadein with transparent png not working

    - by user1102152

  • Redirect to hash URL

    - by r1987
I'm building a site with a hashchange on wordpress, all working good. It just loads a single.php template file into a div. The problem is that i can still access my single url (http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post). Since its not having any head and style tags with it, i don't want people to go over there. Also google has picked up the direct links, because I use the href attribute to load content into the div. So my question is: If someone clicks a link lets say in a forum, http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post , is it possible to redirect him instantly to http://www.mydomain.com/#my-single-post ? I have researched that it has something to do with .htaccess, but I also have Pages, where i don't want the hash infront of the page-name.

  • Disable form submission via Enter key on only _some fields

    - by justSteve
I want to retain the conventional 'form submits when i press Enter' behavior because users are familiar with. But by reflex, they often hit enter when they finish with a text input box - but before they are actually done with the complete form. I'd like to hijack the Enter key only when then focus is on a certain class of input. Looking Related Questions this looks like what I'm looking for: if (document.addEventListener) { document.getElementById('strip').addEventListener('keypress',HandleKeyPress,false); } else { document.getElementById('strip').onkeypress = HandleKeyPress; } but the if (document.addEventListener) { is unfamiliar.

  • How can I remove all classes that are not named "message" from an element?

    - by Marilou
I have the following: <div id="abc"> </div> Inside that div there can be one only of the following: <p class="message"> <p class="message error"></p> <p class="message warning"></p> <p class="message success"></p> <p class="message loading"></p> Is there a way that I can find and remove only the class from the <p> element that's NOT "message". I realize I could remove everything and then add what I need with .removeClass() but this won't work for me as after I previously added the message class I did some CSS changes and these will be lost if I remove all and then add again the message class.

  • Slide Effect happening too many times

    - by Abs
Hello all, I call this functions on onmouseover and onmouseout for several divs. //Takes effect on divs with id, 62,63,64,65... function slide_it(id){ $('#options_'+id).slideToggle('slow'); } The problem is that if I move my mouse over and then mouse out, then again, mouse over and then mouse out. If I do this several times, the slide effect happens the same number of times I moved my mouse over and out of the div, as expected. But I can't figure out how I can do this once? I can set a variable, but I have several divs that this function is used by and I can't think of a simple way of doing this rather than storing things into an array, but this is messy! I really appreciate any help on this that is simple to implement! Thanks all for any help

  • Submitting form with Ajax

    - by Sidetracking
    So I'm completely lost on how to submit a form with Ajax. I'm fairly new to Javascript and hopefully I'm not in over my head. When I click submit on my form, nothing happens on my page, not in my SQL database where the info should be stored (double checked process form too). Here's the code if anyone's willing to help Javascript: $(document).ready(function() { $('#form').submit(function() { $.ajax({ url: "../process.php", type: "post", data: $(this).serialize() }); }); } HTML: <form name="contact" method="post" action="" id="form"> <span id="input"> <input type="text" name="first" maxlength="50" size="30" title="First Name" class="textbox"> <input type="text" name="last" maxlength="80" size="30" title="Last Name" class="textbox"> <input type="text" name="email" maxlength="80" size="30" title="Email" class="textbox"> <textarea name="request" maxlength="1000" cols="25" rows="6" title="Request"></textarea> </span> <input type="submit" value="Submit" class="submit"> </form>

  • serializeArray doesn't include submit-button value

    - by guzh
Hi, I got two submit buttons in a form. One that deletes the post, and one to edit it. I want to display a fancybox with either the edit-form or a message saying that the user deleted the post. It's all decided by which button was pushed, with a "if(isset)"-sentence in edit.php. However I can't figure out how to get the value of the button within the serializeArray.. I tried with .click(function() instead, but that didn't send anything to the fancybox.. $("#form").bind("submit", function() { $.ajax({ type : "POST", cache : false, url : "edit.php", data : $(this).serializeArray(), success: function(data) { $.fancybox(data); } }); return false; }); The form looks like this: <form method='post' action='' id="form"> <input type='submit' value='Edit' name='edit' /> <input type='submit' value='Delete' name='delete' onClick="return slett('<?php echo $oppgave->name; ?>')"/> <input name='oppgaveID' type='hidden' value='<?php echo $oppgave->id; ?>' /> </form> I would really appreciate it if someone could help me! Thanks in advance!

  • Hilighting div tag in Masterpage on redirection to content page

    - by user1713632
I have a link in Master page within a div tag. I want to highlight the div when I am clicking the link, in order to redirect to some content page. I have written the following code: <li> <div id="div_test" runat="server"> <asp:LinkButton ID="lnk_test_menu" Font-Underline="false" ForeColor="Black" runat="server" Text="Test Link" CausesValidation="false" onclick="lnk_test_menu_Click1" > </asp:LinkButton></div> </li> Code in the cs page: protected void lnk_test_menu_Click1(object sender, EventArgs e) { div_test.Attributes.Add("class", "testSelected"); Response.Redirect(Test.aspx"); } The div in the master page is not being selected on redirection. Could anybody help me on this?
