• Eclipse RCP setting classpath from workspace

- by English Learner
I am working one Eclipse RCP project where I have got one situation that I wanted to set classpath at runtime. So initially, I can set the classpath from project\lib\sample.jar file in order to avoid the compilation error. But once the Eclipse RCP application started, and click one update button, a new sample.jar file would be generated at workspace. Now I wanted to update the classpath for newly generated sample.jar from workspace. Which is the best option for setting such a runtime classpath ?

• UIControlEventTouchDragExit only fires ~100 pixels out

- by Jonathan
Im trying to "get" when a finger/touch leaves a UIButton in objective C for iphone. I was told in another answer to use UIControlEventTouchDragExit however this event only fires when the touch gets about 100 pixels away from the button, whereas I would like it to be immediate. The apple docs say that goes according to the bounds however my understand is the bounds and the frame are the same unless you rotate the UIbutton (or whatever)

• jQuery - Image management

- by kape123
Is there a jQuery plug-in / JavaScript control that will allow me to display array of images, but with (at least) option to delete image on certain user action. Something like this: http://www.gmarwaha.com/jquery/jcarousellite/index.php but with dedicated delete button on every image. First extra option that I can think of is to rearrange order of images. If not... I guess I'll start extending mentioned jcarousellite myself....

• How to get this Qt state machine to work?

- by Ton van den Heuvel
I have two widgets that can be checked, and a numeric entry field that should contain a value greater than zero. Whenever both widgets have been checked, and the numeric entry field contains a value greater than zero, a button should be enabled. I am struggling with defining a proper state machine for this situation. So far I have the following: QStateMachine *machine = new QStateMachine(this); QState *buttonDisabled = new QState(QState::ParallelStates); buttonDisabled->assignProperty(ui_->button, "enabled", false); QState *a = new QState(buttonDisabled); QState *aUnchecked = new QState(a); QFinalState *aChecked = new QFinalState(a); aUnchecked->addTransition(wa, SIGNAL(checked()), aChecked); a->setInitialState(aUnchecked); QState *b = new QState(buttonDisabled); QState *bUnchecked = new QState(b); QFinalState *bChecked = new QFinalState(b); employeeUnchecked->addTransition(wb, SIGNAL(checked()), bChecked); b->setInitialState(bUnchecked); QState *weight = new QState(registerButtonDisabled); QState *weightZero = new QState(weight); QFinalState *weightGreaterThanZero = new QFinalState(weight); weightZero->addTransition(this, SIGNAL(validWeight()), weightGreaterThanZero); weight->setInitialState(weightZero); QState *buttonEnabled = new QState(); buttonEnabled->assignProperty(ui_->registerButton, "enabled", true); buttonDisabled->addTransition(buttonDisabled, SIGNAL(finished()), buttonEnabled); buttonEnabled->addTransition(this, SIGNAL(invalidWeight()), weightZero); machine->addState(registerButtonDisabled); machine->addState(registerButtonEnabled); machine->setInitialState(registerButtonDisabled); machine->start(); The problem here is that the following transition: buttonEnabled->addTransition(this, SIGNAL(invalidWeight()), weightZero); causes all the child states in the registerButtonDisabled state to be reverted to their initial state. This is unwanted behaviour, as I want the a and b states to remain in the same state. How do I prevent this?

• Network Data Packet connectivity intent

- by Rakesh
I am writing an Android application which can enable and disable the Network Data packet connection. I am also using one broadcast receiver to check the Network Data packet connection. I have registered broadcast receiver and provided required permission in Manifest file. But when I run this application it changes the connection state and after that it crashes. But when I don't include this broadcast receiver it works fine. I am not able to see any kind of log which can provide some clue. Here is my code for broadcast receiver. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" package="com.rakesh.simplewidget" android:versionCode="1" android:versionName="1.0" > <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="10" /> <!-- Permissions --> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.MODIFY_PHONE_STATE" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" /> <application android:icon="@drawable/ic_launcher" android:label="@string/app_name" > <activity android:name=".SimpleWidgetExampleActivity" android:label="@string/app_name" > <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> <!-- <receiver android:name=".ExampleAppWidgetProvider" android:label="Widget ErrorBuster" > <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.appwidget.action.APPWIDGET_UPDATE" /> </intent-filter> <meta-data android:name="android.appwidget.provider" android:resource="@xml/widget1_info" /> </receiver> --> <receiver android:name=".ConnectivityReceiver" > <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.net.conn.CONNECTIVITY_CHANGE" /> </intent-filter> </receiver> </application> </manifest> My Broadcast receiver class is as following. import android.content.BroadcastReceiver; • How do I make an HTML text box show a hint when empty?

- by Michael L Perry
I want the search box on my web page to display the word "Search" in gray italics. When the box receives focus, it should look just like an empty text box. If there is already text in it, it should display the text normally (black, non-italics). This will help me avoid clutter by removing the label. BTW, this is an on-page AJAX search, so it has no button.

• how to make the android app load faster?

- by Tapan Desai
I have designed an application for android, in which i am showing a splash screen before the main activity is started but the application takes 5-7 seconds to start on low-end devices. I want to reduce that time to as low as possible. I have been trying to reduce the things to be done in onCreate() but now i cannot remove any thing more from that. I am pasting the code that i have used to show the splash and the code from MainActivity. Please help me in reducing the startup time of the application. • Small, Custom WYSIWYG editor

- by Click Upvote
I would make to make a small WYSIWYG editor similar to the one used by StackOverflow. Basically, it would have buttons like
, and when that button is clicked,

should be inserted in the textarea where the cursor is or at the end of all other text. If the

could be highlighted in some way that would be even more excellent, but its not required. Is there any WYSIWYG editor already available where you can add custom buttons, with custom text being added to the textbox as a result?

• How do I disable "eager" validation entirely using jquery validate ?

- by Kevin J
Is there a way to disable "eager" validation using the jquery.validate plugin? Either through an option in the script or as a hack? "Eager" validation kicks in once the form has been validated once - after that, invalid fields are validated onfocusout. I want to disable this behavior, and change my forms to only be validated when the submit button is pressed. I don't mind hacking through the validate script itself also, so if that's what the solution requires that's acceptable.

Dont know why Eclipse is not seeing my R class anymore. How to fix?
