  • PHP getting Twitter API JSON file contents without OAuth (Almost have it)

    - by DexCurl
    Hey guys, I have this script working fine with OAuth, but I accidentally nuked my 350 API hits with a stupid while statement :( I'm trying to get data from the Twitter API without OAuth, I can't figure it out (still pretty new), heres what I have <html> <body> <center> <hr /> <br /> <table border="1"> <tr><td>ScreenName</td><td>Followed back?</td></tr> <?php //twitter oauth deets $consumerKey = 'x'; $consumerSecret = 'x'; $oAuthToken = 'x'; $oAuthSecret = 'x'; // Create Twitter API objsect require_once("twitteroauth.php"); $oauth = new TwitterOAuth($consumerKey, $consumerSecret, $oAuthToken, $oAuthSecret); //get home timeline tweets and it is stored as an array $youfollow = $oauth->get('http://api.twitter.com/1/friends/ids.json?screen_name=lccountdown'); $i = 0; //start loop to print our results cutely in a table while ($i <= 20){ $youfollowid = $youfollow[$i]; $resolve = "http://api.twitter.com/1/friendships/exists.json?user_a=".$youfollow[$i]."&user_b=jwhelton"; $followbacktest = $oauth->get($resolve); //$homedate= $hometimeline[$i]->created_at; //$homescreenname = $hometimeline[$i]->user->screen_name; echo "<tr><td>".$youfollowid."</td><td>".$followbacktest."</td></tr>"; $i++; } ?> </table> </center> </body> </html> Neither of the two Twitter functions require authentication, so how can I get the same results? Thanks guys, Dex

  • How to facebook getuser() after login with javascript SDK

    - by user1848205
    So I have to ask for extended permission by clicking the enter button, but after the login is necessary to refresh the page in order to display the app. Here's my code: <?php require 'facebook.php'; $facebook = new Facebook(array( 'appId' => '< THE APPID >', 'secret' => '< THE SECRET >', 'cookie' => true, )); $user = $facebook->getUser(); if ($user) { try { $user_profile = $facebook->api('/me'); } catch (FacebookApiException $e) { error_log($e); $user = null; } } ?> <body> <div id="fb-root"></div> <script> window.fbAsyncInit = function() { FB.init({ appId : '< THE APPID >', status : true, cookie : true, xfbml : true }); // Additional initialization code such as adding Event Listeners goes here $('#btn-enter').click(function(){ login(); }); }; (function(d){ var js, id = 'facebook-jssdk', ref = d.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) {return;} js = d.createElement('script'); js.id = id; js.async = true; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js"; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(js, ref); }(document)); function login() { FB.login(function(response) { if (response.authResponse) { // connected } else { // cancelled } //}); }, {scope: 'read_friendlists,friends_photos,publish_stream'}); } </script> <?php if ($user): ?> <!--Here is my APP--> <?php else: ?> <a id="btn-enter">Enter</a> <?php endif ?> Is there a better way to do this ? What works for me is: function login() { FB.login(function(response) { if (response.authResponse) { top.location.href='https://the_app_url'; } else { } //}); }, {scope: 'read_friendlists,friends_photos,publish_stream'}); } But this causes the entire page to refresh and is not 'elegant' per se...

  • Global NSMutableArray doesn't seem to be holding values

    - by diatrevolo
    I have a Cocos2D iPhone application that requires a set of CGRects overlaid on an image to detect touches within them. "Data" below is a class that holds values parsed from an XML file. "delegateEntries" is a NSMutableArray that contains several "data" objects, pulled from another NSMutableArray called "entries" that lives in the application delegate. For some strange reason, I can get at these values without problems in the init function, but further down the class in question, I try to get at these values, and the application crashes without an error message (as an example, I put in the "ccTouchBegan" method which accessess this data through the "populateFieldsForTouchedItem" method. Can anyone see why these values would not be accessible from other methods? No objects get released until dealloc. Thanks in advance! @synthesize clicked, delegate, data, image, blurImage, normalImage, arrayOfRects, delegateEntries; - (id)initWithTexture:(CCTexture2D *)aTexture { if( (self=[super initWithTexture:aTexture] )) { arrayOfRects = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; delegateEntries = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; delegate = (InteractivePIAppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; delegateEntries = [delegate entries]; data = [delegateEntries objectAtIndex:0]; NSLog(@"Assigning %@", [[delegateEntries objectAtIndex:0] backgroundImage]); NSLog(@"%@ is the string", [[data sections] objectAtIndex:0]); //CGRect rect; NSLog(@"Count of array is %i", [delegateEntries count]); //collect as many items as there are XML entries for(int i=0; i<[delegateEntries count]; i++) { if([[delegateEntries objectAtIndex:i] xPos]) { NSLog(@"Found %i items", i+1); [arrayOfRects addObject:[NSValue valueWithCGRect:CGRectMake([[[delegateEntries objectAtIndex:i] xPos] floatValue], [[[delegateEntries objectAtIndex:i] yPos] floatValue], [[[delegateEntries objectAtIndex:i] xBounds] floatValue], [[[delegateEntries objectAtIndex:i] yBounds] floatValue])]]; } else { NSLog(@"Nothing"); } } //remove the following once the NSMutableArray from above works (legacy) blurImage = [[NSString alloc] initWithString:[data backgroundBlur]]; NSLog(@"5"); normalImage = [[NSString alloc] initWithString:[data backgroundImage]]; clicked = NO; } return self; } And then: - (void)populateFieldsForTouchedItem:(TouchedRect)touchInfo { Data *touchDatum = [[Data alloc] init]; touchDatum = [[self delegateEntries] objectAtIndex:touchInfo.recordNumber]; NSLog(@"Assigning %@", [[[self delegateEntries] objectAtIndex:touchInfo.recordNumber] backgroundImage]); rect = [[arrayOfRects objectAtIndex:touchInfo.recordNumber] CGRectValue]; image = [[NSString alloc] initWithString:[[touchDatum sections] objectAtIndex:0]]; [touchDatum release]; } - (BOOL)ccTouchBegan:(UITouch *)touch withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { TouchedRect touchInfo = [self containsTouchLocation:touch]; NSLog(@"Information pertains to %i", touchInfo.recordNumber); if ( !touchInfo.touched && !clicked ) { //needed since the touch location changes when zoomed NSLog(@"NOPE"); return NO; } [self populateFieldsForTouchedItem:touchInfo]; NSLog(@"YEP"); return YES; }

  • Technical non-terminating condition in a loop

    - by Snarfblam
    Most of us know that a loop should not have a non-terminating condition. For example, this C# loop has a non-terminating condition: any even value of i. This is an obvious logic error. void CountByTwosStartingAt(byte i) { // If i is even, it never exceeds 254 for(; i < 255; i += 2) { Console.WriteLine(i); } } Sometimes there are edge cases that are extremely unlikeley, but technically constitute non-exiting conditions (stack overflows and out-of-memory errors aside). Suppose you have a function that counts the number of sequential zeros in a stream: int CountZeros(Stream s) { int total = 0; while(s.ReadByte() == 0) total++; return total; } Now, suppose you feed it this thing: class InfiniteEmptyStream:Stream { // ... Other members ... public override int Read(byte[] buffer, int offset, int count) { Array.Clear(buffer, offset, count); // Output zeros return count; // Never returns -1 (end of stream) } } Or more realistically, maybe a stream that returns data from external hardware, which in certain cases might return lots of zeros (such as a game controller sitting on your desk). Either way we have an infinite loop. This particular non-terminating condition stands out, but sometimes they don't. A completely real-world example as in an app I'm writing. An endless stream of zeros will be deserialized into infinite "empty" objects (until the collection class or GC throws an exception because I've exceeded two billion items). But this would be a completely unexpected circumstance (considering my data source). How important is it to have absolutely no non-terminating conditions? How much does this affect "robustness?" Does it matter if they are only "theoretically" non-terminating (is it okay if an exception represents an implicit terminating condition)? Does it matter whether the app is commercial? If it is publicly distributed? Does it matter if the problematic code is in no way accessible through a public interface/API? Edit: One of the primary concerns I have is unforseen logic errors that can create the non-terminating condition. If, as a rule, you ensure there are no non-terminating conditions, you can identify or handle these logic errors more gracefully, but is it worth it? And when? This is a concern orthogonal to trust.

  • EXC_BAD_ACCESS when simply casting a pointer in Obj-C

    - by AlexChilcott
    Hi all, Frequent visitor but first post here on StackOverflow, I'm hoping that you guys might be able to help me out with this. I'm fairly new to Obj-C and XCode, and I'm faced with this really... weird... problem. Googling hasn't turned up anything whatsoever. Basically, I get an EXC_BAD_ACCESS signal on a line that doesn't do any dereferencing or anything like that that I can see. Wondering if you guys have any idea where to look for this. I've found a work around, but no idea why this works... The line the broken version barfs out on is the line: LevelEntity *le = entity; where I get my bad access signal. Here goes: THIS VERSION WORKS NSArray *contacts = [self.body getContacts]; for (PhysicsContact *contact in contacts) { PhysicsBody *otherBody; if (contact.bodyA == self.body) { otherBody = contact.bodyB; } if (contact.bodyB == self.body) { otherBody = contact.bodyA; } id entity = [otherBody userData]; if (entity != nil) { LevelEntity *le = entity; CGPoint point = [contact contactPointOnBody:otherBody]; } } THIS VERSION DOESNT WORK NSArray *contacts = [self.body getContacts]; for (NSUInteger i = 0; i < [contacts count]; i++) { PhysicsContact *contact = [contacts objectAtIndex:i]; PhysicsBody *otherBody; if (contact.bodyA == self.body) { otherBody = contact.bodyB; } if (contact.bodyB == self.body) { otherBody = contact.bodyA; } id entity = [otherBody userData]; if (entity != nil) { LevelEntity *le = entity; CGPoint point = [contact contactPointOnBody:otherBody]; } } Here, the only difference between the two examples is the way I enumerate through my array. In the first version (which works) I use for (... in ...), where as in the second I use for (...; ...; ...). As far as I can see, these should be the same. This is seriously weirding me out. Anyone have any similar experience or idea whats going on here? Would be really great :) Cheers, Alex

  • Memory Management iOS dev app doesn't work after a few detail items

    - by user1434846
    I am working on a project with a tableView controller and the detail views contains CMMotionManager.When i open 5 or 6 detailViews all goes well,but after a while the app goes slow and finally crashes.On instruments the only leak is on main.m , also i must say that I'm using ARC and i can't dealloc or realese the instances. Here is the code: First the table view: - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib. self.title = @"Movement";//Master View Controller title bar UIImage *image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"jg_navibar.png"]; [self.navigationController.navigationBar setBackgroundImage:image forBarMetrics:UIBarMetricsDefault]; //Init the array with data bodypartsMutableArray = [NSMutableArray arrayWithCapacity:26]; BodypartData *part1 = [[BodypartData alloc] init]; part1.bodypartname = @"Shoulder"; part1.movementname = @"Flexion"; part1.fullimageStartingPosition=[UIImage imageNamed:@"2_shoulder_flexion_end_position.jpg"]; part1.fullimageEndedPosition=[UIImage imageNamed:@"2_shoulder_flexion_end_position.jpg"]; part1.thumbimage=[UIImage imageNamed:@"1_shoulder_flexion_landmarks_thumb.jpg"]; [bodypartsMutableArray addObject:part1]; ......... } then the cell: - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:@"MyBasicCell"]; BodypartData *part = [self.bodypartsMutableArray objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]; cell.textLabel.text =[NSString stringWithFormat:part.movementname]; cell.detailTextLabel.text =[NSString stringWithFormat:part.bodypartname]; cell.imageView.image =part.thumbimage; return cell; } and the the detailViewdid load: - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib. // Init motionManager object and set the Update Interval _motionManager = [[CMMotionManager alloc]init]; _motionManager.deviceMotionUpdateInterval=1/60; //60 Hz [_motionManager startGyroUpdates]; if (_motionManager.gyroAvailable) { _motionManager.gyroUpdateInterval = 1.0/60.0; [_motionManager startDeviceMotionUpdatesToQueue:[NSOperationQueue currentQueue] withHandler: ^(CMDeviceMotion *motion, NSError *error) { CMAttitude *attitude = motion.attitude; //Calculation with rotationMatrix m11 = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%.02f", attitude.rotationMatrix.m11]; m12 = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%.02f", attitude.rotationMatrix.m12]; m13 = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%.02f", attitude.rotationMatrix.m13]; ......... }

  • upload form only works in Firefox when uploading ASCII .stl 3D files

    - by NathanPDX
    uploadform.html and upload_file.php (below) works fine in Firefox but fails in Chrome, IE, and Safari when uploading ASCII .stl 3D files. Error message is "Invalid file" and problem occurs with multiple computers and multiple .stl files. When I modify the code to support other file types like JPG and PDF it allows those file types in all three web browsers. Also, Firefox only allows the .stl upload if I include application/octet-stream in the mime types section. Why doesn't this work outside of Firefox? uploadform.html: <!doctype html> <html> <body> <form action="upload_file.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <label for="file">Filename:</label> <input type="file" name="file" id="file" /> <br /> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Submit" /> </form> </body> </html> upload_file.php: <!doctype html> <html> <body> <?php $allowedExts = array("stl"); $extension = end(explode(".", $_FILES["file"]["name"])); if ( ( ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "application/sla") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "application/octet-stream") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "text/plain") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "application/unknown") ) && ($_FILES["file"]["size"] < 2000000) && in_array($extension, $allowedExts) ) { if ($_FILES["file"]["error"] > 0) { echo "Return Code: " . $_FILES["file"]["error"] .   • Re-order form fields on submit url

    - by user2521764
    I have a get form with several visible and hidden input fields. When the form is submitted, selected fileds with their values are appended to the url in the order they are placed in the form. Is there a way to re-order the parameters in the url using jQuery? Note that for the reasons of usability, I can not re-order the elements on the form itself. I know it beggs the question "why would I want to do it?", but the reason is that I will be hitting a static page, so the order of the parameters have to be exactly how they are in the static page url. For example, my form returns a url: http://someurl??names=comm&search=all&type=list while the static page has a url: http://someurl??search=all&type=list&names=comm A simplified form example is here: <form id="search_form" method="get" action="http://www.cbif.gc.ca/pls/pp/ppack.jump" > <h2>Choose which names you want to be displayed</h2> <select name="names"> <option value="comm">Common names</option> <option value="sci">Scientific names</option> </select> <h2>Choose how you want to view the results</h2> <input type="radio" name="search" value="all" id="complete" checked = "checked" /> <label for="complete" id="completeLabel">Complete list</label> <br/> <input type="radio" name="p_null" value="house" id="house" /> <label for="house" id="houseLabel">House plants only</label> <br/> <input type="radio" name="p_null" value="illust" id="illustrat" /> <label for="illustrat" id="illustratLabel">Plants with Illustrations</label> <br/> <input type="hidden" name="type" value="list" /> <input type="submit" value="Submit" /> </form> I can get form fields with values using $(#search_form).serializeArray() and massage the array like I want to, but I don't know how to set it back, i.e. modify the serialized values so that the submitted url has my order of parameters. I'm not even sure if this is the right way to go about it, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

  • Counting number of searches

    - by shinjuo
    I am trying to figure out how to get the total number of tests each search makes in this algorithm. I am not sure how I can pass that information back from this algorithm though. I need to count how many times while runs and then pass that number back into an array to be added together and determine the average number of test. main.c #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <time.h> #include <stdbool.h> #include "percentage.h" #include "sequentialSearch.h" #define searchAmount 100 int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { int numbers[100]; int searches[searchAmount]; int i; int where; int searchSuccess; int searchUnsuccess; int percent; srand(time(NULL)); for (i = 0; i < 100; i++){ numbers[i] = rand() % 200; } for (i = 0; i < searchAmount; i++){ searches[i] = rand() % 200; } searchUnsuccess = 0; searchSuccess = 0; for(i = 0; i < searchAmount; i++){ if(seqSearch(numbers, 100, searches[i], &where)){ searchSuccess++; }else{ searchUnsuccess++; } } percent = percentRate(searchSuccess, searchAmount); printf("Total number of searches: %d\n", searchAmount); printf("Total successful searches: %d\n", searchSuccess); printf("Success Rate: %d%%\n", percent); system("PAUSE"); return 0; } sequentialSearch.h bool seqSearch (int list[], int last, int target, int* locn){ int looker; looker = 0; while(looker < last && target != list[looker]){ looker++; } *locn = looker; return(target == list[looker]); }

  • 'Good' programming form in maintaining / updating / accessing files by entry

    - by zhermes
    Basic Question: If I'm storying/modifying data, should I access elements of a file by index hard-coded index, i.e. targetFile.getElement(5); via a hardcoded identifier (internally translated into index), i.e. target.getElementWithID("Desired Element"), or with some intermediate DESIRED_ELEMENT = 5; ... target.getElement(DESIRED_ELEMENT), etc. Background: My program (c++) stores data in lots of different 'dataFile's. I also keep a list of all of the data-files in another file---a 'listFile'---which also stores some of each one's properties (see below, but i.e. what it's name is, how many lines of information it has etc.). There is an object which manages the data files and the list file, call it a 'fileKeeper'. The entries of a listFile look something like: filename , contents name , number of lines , some more numbers ... Its definitely possible that I may add / remove fields from this list --- but in general, they'll stay static. Right now, I have a constant string array which holds the identification of each element in each entry, something like: const string fileKeeper::idKeys[] = { "FileName" , "Contents" , "NumLines" ... }; const int fileKeeper::idKeysNum = 6; // 6 - for example I'm trying to manage this stuff in 'good' programatic form. Thus, when I want to retrieve the number of lines in a file (for example), instead of having a method which just retrieves the '3'rd element... Instead I do something like: string desiredID = "NumLines"; int desiredIndex = indexForID(desiredID); string desiredElement = elementForIndex(desiredIndex); where the function indexForID() goes through the entries of idKeys until it finds desiredID then returns the index it corresponds to. And elementForIndex(index) actually goes into the listFile to retrieve the index'th element of the comma-delimited string. Problem: This still seems pretty ugly / poor-form. Is there a way I should be doing this? If not, what are some general ways in which this is usually done? Thanks!

  • How to update a TextView on ButtonClick with Spinner(s) values

  • index seems to be out of sync for jquery .keydown and .click methods

    - by Growler
    I'd like to navigate images using both keyboard and mouse (clicking left and right arrow images). I'm using Jquery to do this, but the shared imgIndex seems to be off from the .keydown function and the .click function... Whenever .keydown function -- or ++ the imgIndex, isn't that changed index also used in the click function? So shouldn't they always be on the same index? keydown function: <script type="text/javascript"> var imgArray = [<?php echo implode(',', getImages($site)) ?>]; $(document).ready(function() { var img = document.getElementById("showimg"); img.src = imgArray[<?php echo $imgid ?>]; var imgIndex = <?php echo $imgid ?>; alert(imgIndex); $(document).keydown(function (e) { var key = e.which; var rightarrow = 39; var leftarrow = 37; var random = 82; if (key == rightarrow) { imgIndex++; if (imgIndex > imgArray.length-1) { imgIndex = 0; } img.src = imgArray[imgIndex]; } if (key == leftarrow) { if (imgIndex == 0) { imgIndex = imgArray.length; } img.src = imgArray[--imgIndex]; } }); click function: Connected to left and right clickable images $("#next").click(function() { imgIndex++; if (imgIndex > imgArray.length-1) { imgIndex = 0; } img.src = imgArray[imgIndex]; }); $("#prev").click(function() { if (imgIndex == 0) { imgIndex = imgArray.length; } img.src = imgArray[--imgIndex]; }); }); Just so you have some visibility into the getImages php function: <?php function getImages($siteParam) { include 'dbconnect.php'; if ($siteParam == 'artwork') { $table = "artwork"; } else { $table = "comics"; } $catResult = $mysqli->query("SELECT id, title, path, thumb, views, catidFK FROM $table"); $img = array(); while($row = $catResult->fetch_assoc()) { $img[] = "'" . $row['path'] . Here is portion of PHP that assigns the images to a $result: // Process value of Imagedata field, this is JPEG-files array foreach ($_FILES[Imagedata][name] as $key => $value) { $uploadfile = $destination_dir . basename($_FILES[Imagedata][name][$key]); if (move_uploaded_file($_FILES['Imagedata']['tmp_name'][$key], $uploadfile)) { $result .= "File uploaded: <a href='". $value . "'>" . $value . "</a><br>"; } } // $result .= "<br>"; Here is what I'm now receiving in the email, : <!doctype html public "-//w3c//dtd html 4.0 transitional//en"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <title>Upload results</title> </head> <body> AdditionalStringVariable: pass additional data here<br><a> href='gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg'><img border = '0' src='QIU_thumb_gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg'/></a><br><br><br>File uploaded: <a href='gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg'>gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg</a><br><br> GlobalControlData: PHOTO_VISIBILITY : 2<br> GlobalControlData: PHOTO_DESCR : Requiredtest<br> GlobalControlData: PHOTO_TITLE : Requiredtest<br><br>gallery_grannylovesthis_l.png<br> control: , value: <br> </body> </html> Thanks in advance for any guidance...I have a feeling it's something simple.

  • Can't get jQuery to get focus on cloned input fields

    - by Rebel1Moon
    I have a page that needs to create dynamic form fields as often as the user needs, and I am trying to use Ajax to tie it in to my database for faster form entry and to prevent user typos. So, I have put my Ajax returned data into popup div, the user selects, then the form field is filled in. The problem comes on the cloned fields. They don't seem to want to bring up the popup div when focused. I am thinking it is something to do with when they get created/added to the DOM. Here is my JS that creates the clones: $(document).ready(function() { var regex = /^(.*)(\d)+$/i; var cloneIndex = $(".clonedInput").length; $("button.clone").live("click", function(){ $(this).parents(".clonedInput").clone() .appendTo("#course_container") .attr("id", "clonedInput" + cloneIndex) .find("*").each(function() { var id = this.id || ""; var match = id.match(regex) || []; if (match.length == 3) { this.id = match[1] + (cloneIndex); } }); cloneIndex++; numClones=cloneIndex-1; //alert("numClones "+numClones); }); Here is where I expect to be able to get focus on the correct cloned field and call the popup. The baker_equiv0 id is original code, whereas baker_equiv1 is the first clone. $('#baker_equiv0').focus(function() { \\ THIS CODE WORKS $('.popup').fadeIn(500); $('#results').empty(); // document.enter_data.baker_equiv1.value="test"; THIS LINE WORKS //alert("numClones "+numClones); }); $('#baker_equiv1').focus(function() { // THIS DOESN'T EVER FIRE alert("numClones "+numClones); $('.popup').fadeIn(500); $('#results').empty(); }); Here is the HTML with the form: <label for="baker_equiv" class="">Baker Equivalent: <span class="requiredField">*</span></label> <input type="text" class="cinputsa" name="baker_equiv[]" id="baker_equiv0" size="8" ONKEYUP="get_equiv(this.value);"> If I put this in the HTML code above, it works fine: onfocus="alert(this.id)" I'd also be interested in how to adjust the JS code to work based on the id array created rather than having to copy code for each potential set of fields clones, i.e., baker_equiv[] rather than baker_equiv0, baker_equiv1, etc. Thanks all!

  • PHP: csv generator creates extra field

    - by WhyKiki
    I'm coding a script that takes one csv file to transform it into another one. Basically, two foreach loops are used: one to iterate records and another to iterate fields. Certain fields (cno 25, 26, 44) for each record needs to be modified. The problem is that each modificatino creates an extra empty field, i.e. the code $colStr .= '"' . $col . '";'; works but not any of the code in the if statements. The code is: $rno = 0; foreach ($csvArray as $line) { $cno = 0; $colStr = ""; foreach ($line as $col) { if($rno>0 && $cno==25) { $stuff = array($csvArray[$rno][41], $csvArray[$rno][47], $csvArray[$rno][48], $csvArray[$rno][49]); foreach($stuff as &$value) { $value = preg_replace('/[^0-9]/', '', $value); } sort($stuff, SORT_NUMERIC); // Causes bug! $colStr .= '"' . $stuff[0] . '";'; } if($rno>0 && $cno==26) { $urls = ""; for($i = 55; $i<=62; $i++) { $urls .= "Images: " . $csvArray[$rno][$i] . " | "; } $urls .= "Some text: " . $csvArray[$rno][43] . " | "; // Causes bug! $colStr .= '"' . $urls . '";'; } if($rno>0 && $cno==44) { $colStr .= '"' . $_POST['location'][$rno] . '";'; } if($rno>0 && $cno==54) { $objType = $col; $objType = preg_replace('/foobar/i', '123', $objType); // Causes bug! $colStr .= '"' . $objType . '";'; } else { // This is ok, though $colStr .= '"' . $col . '";'; } $cno++; } $colStr = preg_replace('/;$/', '', $colStr); $colStr .= "\n"; fwrite($outputFile, $colStr); $rno++; } fclose($outputFile);

  • How do you return a string from a function correctly in Dynamic C?

    - by aquanar
    I have a program I am trying to debug, but Dynamic C apparently treats strings differently than normal C does (well, character arrays, anyway). I have a function that I made to make an 8 character long (well, 10 to include the \0 ) string of 0s and 1s to show me the contents of an 8-bit char variable. (IE, I give it the number 13, it returns the string "0001101\0" ) When I use the code below, it prints out !{happy face] 6 times (well, the second one is the happy face alone for some reason), each return comes back as 0xDEAE or "!\x02. I thought it would dereference it and return the appropriate string, but it appears to just be sending the pointer and attempting to parse it. This may seem silly, but my experience was actually in C++ and Java, so going back to C brings up a few issues that were dealt with in later programming languages that I'm not entirely sure how to deal with (like the lack of string variables). How could I fix this code, or how would be a better way to do what I am trying to do (I thought maybe sending in a pointer to a character array and working on it from the function might work, but I thought I should ask to see if maybe I'm just trying to reinvent the wheel). Currently I have it set up like this: this is an excerpt from the main() display[0] = '\0'; for(i=0;i<6;i++) { sprintf(s, "%s ", *char_to_bits(buffer[i])); strcat(display, s); } DispStr(8,5, display); and this is the offending function: char *char_to_bits(char x) { char bits[16]; strcpy(bits,"00000000\0"); if (x & 0x01) bits[7]='1'; if (x & 0x02) bits[6]='1'; if (x & 0x04) bits[5]='1'; if (x & 0x08) bits[4]='1'; if (x & 0x10) bits[3]='1'; if (x & 0x20) bits[2]='1'; if (x & 0x40) bits[1]='1'; if (x & 0x80) bits[0]='1'; return bits; } and just for the sake of completion, the other function is used to output to the stdio window at a specific location: void DispStr(int x, int y, char *s) { x += 0x20; y += 0x20; printf ("\x1B=%c%c%s", x, y, s); }

  • How to connect two files and use the radio button?

    - by Stupefy101
    I have here a set of form from the index.php to upload a zip file, select an option then perform a converter process. <form action="" method="post" accept-charset="utf-8"> <p class="buttons"><input type="file" value="" name="zip_file"/></p> </form> <form action="index.php" method="post" accept-charset="utf-8" name="form1"> <h3><input type="radio" name="option" value="option1"/> Option1 </h3> <h3><input type="radio" name="option" value="option2"/> Option2 </h3> <h3><input type="radio" name="option" value="option3"/> Option3 </h3> <p class="buttons"><input type="submit" value="Convert"/></p> </form> In the other hand, this is my code for the upload.php that will extract the Zip file. <?php if($_FILES["zip_file"]["name"]) { $filename = $_FILES["zip_file"]["name"]; $source = $_FILES["zip_file"]["tmp_name"]; $type = $_FILES["zip_file"]["type"]; $name = explode(".", $filename); $accepted_types = array('application/zip', 'application/x-zip-compressed', 'multipart/x-zip', 'application/x-compressed'); foreach($accepted_types as $mime_type) { if($mime_type == $type) { $okay = true; break; } } $continue = strtolower($name[1]) == 'zip' ? true : false; if(!$continue) { $message = "The file you are trying to upload is not a .zip file.   • How do I create a class in Javascript?

    - by William
    This is what I got so far, and it's not working at all :( <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <title>Class Test</title> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <style> body { text-align: center; background-color: #ffffff;} #box { position: absolute; left: 610px; top: 80px; height: 50px; width: 50px; background-color: #ff0000; color: #000000;} </style> <script type="text/javascript"> document.onkeydown=function(event){keyDown(event)}; document.onkeyup=function(event){keyUp(event)}; var box = 0; function Player () { var speed = 5; var x = 50; var y = 50; } function update() { box.style.left = this.x + "px"; box.style.top = this.y + "px"; box.innerHTML = "<h6 style=\"margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;\">X: "+ this.x + "<br /> Y: " + this.y + "</h6>"; } var player = new Player(); var keys = new Array(256); var i = 0; for (i = 0;i <= 256; i++){ keys[i] = false; } function keyDown(event){ keys[event.keyCode] = true; } function keyUp(event){ keys[event.keyCode] = false; } function update(){ if(keys[37]) player.x -= player.speed; if(keys[39]) player.x += player.speed; player.update(); } setInterval(update, 1000/60); </script> </head> <body> <div id="box" ></div> <script type="text/javascript"> box = document.getElementById('box'); box.innerHTML = "<h6 style=\"margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;\">X: "+ player.x + "<br /> Y: " + player.y + "</h6>"; </script> </body> </html>

  • HTML format using Java mail in android

    - by TheDevMan
    I am trying to implement an HTML format mail using the Java mail in android. I would like to get results like this: When I look at the html format sent from lookout in my GMAIL. I don't see any link, but just has this format: [image: Lookout_logo] [image: Signal_flare_icon] Your battery level is really low, so we located your device with Signal Flare. I was trying the following: Properties props = System.getProperties(); props.put("mail.smtp.starttls.enable", "true"); // added this line props.put("mail.smtp.host", host); props.put("mail.smtp.user", from); props.put("mail.smtp.password", pass); props.put("mail.smtp.port", "587"); props.put("mail.smtp.auth", "true"); javax.mail.Session session = javax.mail.Session.getDefaultInstance(props, null); MimeMessage message = new MimeMessage(session); message.setFrom(new InternetAddress(from)); InternetAddress[] toAddress = new InternetAddress[to.length]; // To get the array of addresses for( int i=0; i < to.length; i++ ) { // changed from a while loop toAddress[i] = new InternetAddress(to[i]); } message.setRecipients(Message.RecipientType.BCC, toAddress); message.setSubject(sub); //message.setText(body); body = "<!DOCTYPE html><html><body><img src=\"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krka_National_Park#mediaviewer/File:Krk_waterfalls.jpg\">"; message.setContent(body, "text/html; charset=utf-8"); Transport transport = session.getTransport("smtp"); transport.connect(host, from, pass); transport.sendMessage(message, message.getAllRecipients()); transport.close(); When I look at the html format sent with the above code. I get the following: <!DOCTYPE html><html><body><img src="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krka_National_Park#mediaviewer/File:Krk_waterfalls.jpg> How to make sure the user will not be able to see any html code or URL link like the mail sent by LOOKOUT? Thanks!

  • Please Describe Your Struggles with Minimizing Use of Global Variables

    - by MetaHyperBolic
    Most of the programs I write are relatively flowchartable processes, with a defined start and hoped-for end. The problems themselves can be complex but do not readily lean towards central use of objects and event-driven programming. Often, I am simply churning through great varied batches of text data to produce different text data. Only occasionally do I need to create a class: As an example, to track warnings, errors, and debugging message, I created a class (Problems) with one instantiation (myErr), which I believe to be an example of the Singleton design pattern. As a further factor, my colleagues are more old school (procedural) than I and are unacquainted with object-oriented programming, so I am loath to create things they could not puzzle through. And yet I hear, again and again, how even the Singleton design pattern is really an anti-pattern and ought to be avoided because Global Variables Are Bad. Minor functions need few arguments passed to them and have no need to know of configuration (unchanging) or program state (changing) -- I agree. However, the functions in the middle of the chain, which primarily control program flow, have a need for a large number of configuration variables and some program state variables. I believe passing a dozen or more arguments along to a function is a "solution," but hardly an attractive one. I could, of course, cram variables into a single hash/dict/associative array, but that seems like cheating. For instance, connecting to the Active Directory to make a new account, I need such configuration variables as an administrative username, password, a target OU, some default groups, a domain, etc. I would have to pass those arguments down through a variety of functions which would not even use them, merely shuffle them off down through a chain which would eventually lead to the function that actually needs them. I would at least declare the configuration variables to be constant, to protect them, but my language of choice these days (Python) provides no simple manner to do this, though recipes do exist as workarounds. Numerous Stack Overflow questions have hit on the why? of the badness and the requisite shunning, but do not often mention tips on living with this quasi-religious restriction. How have you resolved, or at least made peace with, the issue of global variables and program state? Where have you made compromises? What have your tricks been, aside from shoving around flocks of arguments to functions?

  • DataGridView cells not editable when using an outside thread call

    - by joslinm
    Hi, I'm not able to edit my datagridview cells when a number of identical calls takes place on another thread. Here's the situation: Dataset table is created in the main window The program receives in files and processes them on a background thread in class TorrentBuilder : BackgroundWorker creating an array objects of another class Torrent My program receives those objects from the BW result and adds them into the dataset The above happens either on my main window thread or in another thread: I have a separate thread watching a folder for files to come in, and when they do come in, they proceed to call TorrentBuilder.RunWorkerAsynch() from that thread, receive the result, and call an outside class that adds the Torrent objects into the table. When the files are received by the latter thread, the datagridview isn't editable. All of the values come up properly into the datagridview, but when I click on a cell to edit it: I can write letters and everything, but when I click out of it, it immediately reverts back to its original value. If I restart the program, I can edit the same cells just fine. If the values are freshly added from the main window thread, I can edit the cells just fine. The outside thread is called from my main window thread, and sits there in the background. I don't believe it to be ReadOnly because I would have gotten an exception. Here's some code: From my main window class: private void dataGridView_DragDrop(object sender, DragEventArgs e) { ArrayList al = new ArrayList(); string[] files = (string[])e.Data.GetData(DataFormats.FileDrop); foreach (string file in files) { string extension = Path.GetExtension(file); if (Path.GetExtension(file).Equals(".zip") || Path.GetExtension(file).Equals(".rar")) { foreach (string unzipped in dh.UnzipFile(file)) al.Add(unzipped); } else if (Path.GetExtension(file).Equals(".torrent")) { al.Add(file); } } dataGridViewProgressBar.Visible = true; tb.RunWorkerCompleted += new RunWorkerCompletedEventHandler(tb_DragDropCompleted); tb.ProgressChanged += new ProgressChangedEventHandler(tb_DragDropProgress); tb.RunWorkerAsync() } void tb_DragDropCompleted(object sender, RunWorkerCompletedEventArgs e) { data.AddTorrents((Torrent[])e.Result); builder.Dispose(); dh.MoveProcessedFiles(data); dataGridViewProgressBar.Visible = false; } From my outside Thread while (autocheck) { if (torrentFiles != null) { builder.RunWorkerAsync(torrentFiles); while (builder.IsBusy) Thread.Sleep(500); } } void builder_RunWorkerCompleted(object sender, System.ComponentModel.RunWorkerCompletedEventArgs e) { data.AddTorrents((Torrent[])e.Result); builder.Dispose(); dh.MoveProcessedFiles(xml); data.Save(); //Save just does an `AcceptChanges()` and saves to a XML file }
