  • Using Mate's RemoteObjectInvoker with C# classes

    - by FigBug
I'm using the Mate framework for Flex and communicating with a server running C#. I'm having trouble mapping C# classes to ActopnScript classes. I've got it working fine for simple classes and built in datatypes. If I have a C# method in my API that returns a API.Foo.Result what name do I use for my RemoteClass alias? Do I need to make a separate ActionScript class for each variation of the API.Foo.Result? How do I call C# method that takes a class as a parameter? Making an ActionScript class with members with the same names doesn't seem to work. What is the best way to handle C# classes that contain arrays of objects? The seem to get converted to ArrayCollections of Object. Is there a way to get them converted to an ArrayCollection of my specific class?

  • Spring - How do you set Enum keys in a Map with annotations

    - by al nik
Hi all, I've an Enum class public enum MyEnum{ ABC; } than my 'Mick' class has this property private Map<MyEnum, OtherObj> myMap; I've this spring xml configuration. <util:map id="myMap"> <entry key="ABC" value-ref="myObj" /> </util:map> <bean id="mick" class="com.x.Mick"> <property name="myMap" ref="myMap" /> </bean> and this is fine. I'd like to replace this xml configuration with Spring annotations. Do you have any idea on how to autowire the map? The problem here is that if I switch from xml config to the @Autowired annotation (on the myMap attribute of the Mick class) Spring is throwing this exception nested exception is org.springframework.beans.FatalBeanException: Key type [class com.MyEnum] of map [java.util.Map] must be assignable to [java.lang.String] Spring is no more able to recognize the string ABC as a MyEnum.ABC object. Any idea? Thanks

  • Is this way of storing typed objects in memory good?

    - by Pindatjuh
This is an "is this okay, or can it be done better" question. Topic: Storing typed objects in memory. Background information: I'm building a compiler for the x86-32 platform for my language. My goal includes typed objects. Idea: Every primitive is a semi-class (it can be used as if it was a normal class, but it's stored more compact). Every class is represented by primitives and some meta-data (containing class-properties, inheritance stuff, etc.). The meta-data is complex: it doesn't use fields but instead context-switches. For primitives, the meta-data is very small, compared to a "real" class, which is alot bigger. This enables another idea that "primitives are objects", in my language, which I found nessecairy. Example: If I have an array of 32 booleans, then the pure content of this array is exactly 4 byte (32 bits of booleans). The meta-data will contain flags that the type is an array of booleans, which contains 32 entries. The meta-data is very compacted, on bit-level: using a sort of "packing" mechanism, which is read by a FSM at runtime, when doing inspection of the type (like when passing the object to methods for checking, etc.) For instance (read from left to right, top to bottom, remember vertical possition when going to the right, and check nearest column header for meaning of switch): Primitive? Array? Type-Meta 1 Byte? || Size (1 byte) 1 1 [...] 1 [...] done 0 2 Bytes? || Size (2 bytes) 1 [...] done || Size (4 bytes) 0 [...] done Integer? 1 Byte? 2 Bytes? 0 1 0 1 done 1 done 0 done Boolean? Byte? 0 1 0 done 1 done More-Primitives 0 .... Class-Stuff (Huge) 0 ... (After reaching done the data is inserted. || = byte alignement. [...] is variable sized. ... is not described here, for simplicity. And let's call them cost-based-data-structures.) For an array of 32 booleans containing all true values, the memory for this type would be (read top-down): 1 Primitive 1 Array 1 ArrayType: Primitive 0 Not-Array 0 Not-Integer 1 Boolean 0 Not-Byte (thus bit) 1 Integer Size: 1 Byte 00100000 Array size 11111111 11111111 11111111 11111111 Data Thus, 8 bytes represent 32 booleans in an array: 11100101 00100000 11111111 11111111 11111111 11111111 Is this okay, or can it be done better?

  • subclassing and data contracts

    - by Sergio Romero
I'm playing with the following code: [ServiceContract] public interface IUserAccountService { [OperationContract] UserAccountResponse CreateNewUserAccount(UserAccountRequest userAccountRequest); } public abstract class BaseResponse { public bool Success { get; set; } public string Message { get; set; } } public class UserAccountResponse : BaseResponse { public int NewUserId { get; set; } } My questions are: Do I need to add the DataContract attribute to both the abstract class and the subclass? If the abstract class does not need the DataContract attribute, can I add the DataMember attribure to its properties?

  • Visual Studio Extensions

    - by John Maloney
I have a project that generates text (representing an interface and a class) based on metadata. I would like to take this generated code and insert it as a new class and interface directly into the currently opened solution under a specific project and directory. I will create the menu tool that will generate the class but what I don't know how to do is gain access to the following items from within my custom Visual Studio Extension: Iterate the current solution and find a project to dump the generated code into. Open a new file window within Visual Studio and inject the generated text that comes from my tool directly into that window. Create a new folder in a specific project within the current solution from within my custom extension. EDIT - To clarify I need to open a new file (e.g. Right Click on a Project - Add - New Class) and insert text into it from within my custom Visual Studio Extension. Thanks

  • Nullable<> as TModel for ViewPage

    - by Alexander Prokofyev
What are the possible reasons what Nullable<> types are disallowed to be passed as TModel parameter of System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<TModel> generic? This could be handy sometimes. In ASP.NET MVC source defined what TModel should be a class: public class ViewPage<TModel> : ViewPage where TModel : class but Nullable types are value types. Maybe definition could be less restrictive...

  • Wondering why DisplayName attribute is ignored in LabelFor on an overridden property

    - by Lasse Krantz
Hi, today I got confused when doing a couple of <%=Html.LabelFor(m=>m.MyProperty)%> in ASP.NET MVC 2 and using the [DisplayName("Show this instead of MyProperty")] attribute from System.ComponentModel. As it turned out, when I put the attribute on an overridden property, LabelFor didn't seem to notice it. However, the [Required] attribute works fine on the overridden property, and the generated errormessage actually uses the DisplayNameAttribute. This is some trivial examplecode, the more realistic scenario is that I have a databasemodel separate from the viewmodel, but for convenience, I'd like to inherit from the databasemodel, add View-only properties and decorating the viewmodel with the attributes for the UI. public class POCOWithoutDataAnnotations { public virtual string PleaseOverrideMe { get; set; } } public class EditModel : POCOWithoutDataAnnotations { [Required] [DisplayName("This should be as label for please override me!")] public override string PleaseOverrideMe { get { return base.PleaseOverrideMe; } set { base.PleaseOverrideMe = value; } } [Required] [DisplayName("This property exists only in EditModel")] public string NonOverriddenProp { get; set; } } The strongly typed ViewPage<EditModel> contains: <div class="editor-label"> <%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.PleaseOverrideMe) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.PleaseOverrideMe) %> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.PleaseOverrideMe) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.NonOverriddenProp) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.NonOverriddenProp) %> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.NonOverriddenProp) %> </div> The labels are then displayed as "PleaseOverrideMe" (not using the DisplayNameAttribute) and "This property exists only in EditModel" (using the DisplayNameAttribute) when viewing the page. If I post with empty values, triggering the validation with this ActionMethod: [HttpPost] public ActionResult Edit(EditModel model) { if (!ModelState.IsValid) return View(model); return View("Thanks"); } the <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.PleaseOverrideMe) %> actually uses [DisplayName("This should be as label for please override me!")] attribute, and produces the default errortext "The This should be as label for please override me! field is required." Would some friendly soul shed some light on this?

  • Both tab & hover triggered popups problem

    - by carpenter

  • java.lang.ClassNotFoundException using google commons

    - by pie154
I have two classes inside a package. Both call a method from another class, one works perfectly fine and the other gives the error java.lang.ClassNotFoundException and the error java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/common/base/Predicate The class path should be the same for both as they are in he same package so I can't figure out why one has access to the class and the other doesn't? thanks in advance for any help given.

  • A question about John Resig's Simple Javascript Inheritance.

    - by Zippo
I'm using this simple code: http://ejohn.org/blog/simple-javascript-inheritance/ Using this "library", I made this simple class: var Person = Class.extend({ init: function(openningSentence) { this.say(openningSentence); }, say: function(words) { alert(words); } }); The problem with this class, is that I can't call a function using the variable "this" (line 3 in the code gives an error: unknown method "say"). Does anybody knoes if there's a solution for this problem? Btw - I'm using jquery, so if there's a jquery-based solution It'll be great :)

  • Wpf SelectedItem wont work for a Combobox in a ListView

    - by ChristianRo
Hi there, I´ve got a problem with a Combobox in a ListView. I´ve got a class called "Substrate". This class contains an object of a class called "SubstrateType". I want to show the objects of the class "Substrate" in a Listview. Each property of the "Substrate" is presented in the columns of the Listview. For the different "SubstrateType" I want to use a combobox. In the XAML I tried it like this: <ComboBox Name="CBType" ItemsSource="{Binding ElementName=SettingsSubstrate, Path=TypeList}" SelectedItem="{Binding Path=Substrate.SubstrateType}" DisplayMemberPath="Description"/> In the code-behind I got two ObservableCollections. One for all Substrates and one for all possible SubstrateTypes. The combobox displays all SubstrateTypes if you click on it. But the combobox has no selecteditem if you dont select one. http://i44.tinypic.com/2eakxav.png Thanks in advance.

  • Django model manager didn't work with related object when I do aggregated query

    - by Satoru.Logic
Hi, all. I'm having trouble doing an aggregation query on a many-to-many related field. Let's begin with my models: class SortedTagManager(models.Manager): use_for_related_fields = True def get_query_set(self): orig_query_set = super(SortedTagManager, self).get_query_set() # FIXME `used` is wrongly counted return orig_query_set.distinct().annotate( used=models.Count('users')).order_by('-used') class Tag(models.Model): content = models.CharField(max_length=32, unique=True) creator = models.ForeignKey(User, related_name='tags_i_created') users = models.ManyToManyField(User, through='TaggedNote', related_name='tags_i_used') objects_sorted_by_used = SortedTagManager() class TaggedNote(models.Model): """Association table of both (Tag , Note) and (Tag, User)""" note = models.ForeignKey(Note) # Note is what's tagged in my app tag = models.ForeignKey(Tag) tagged_by = models.ForeignKey(User) class Meta: unique_together = (('note', 'tag'),) However, the value of the aggregated field used is only correct when the model is queried directly: for t in Tag.objects.all(): print t.used # this works correctly for t in user.tags_i_used.all(): print t.used #prints n^2 when it should give n Would you please tell me what's wrong with it? Thanks in advance.

  • accessing associations within GORM Events

    - by Don
Hi, My Grails app has a User class and a Role class. The User class has an authorities property which holds the roles assigned to that user, e.g. class User { static hasMany = [authorities: Role] // This method is called automatically after a user is inserted def afterInsert() { this.authorities.size() } } If I create a user and assign them a role, a NullPointerException is thrown from the GORM event method afterInsert(), because authorities is null. If I comment out afterInsert() the user is saved correctly along with the assigned role. Is there some reason why I can't access associations from GORM event methods. Is is possible that this event is fired after the User row is inserted, but before the row is added to the User-Role join table? Thanks, Don

  • How to query collections in NHibernate

    - by user305813
Hi, I have a class: public class User { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual string Name { get; set; } public virtual IDictionary<string, string> Attributes { get; set; } } and a mapping file: <class name="User" table="Users"> <id name="Id"> <generator class="hilo"/> </id> <property name="Name"/> <map name="Attributes" table="UserAttributes"> <key column="UserId"/> <index column="AttributeName" type="System.String"/> <element column="Attributevalue" type="System.String"/> </map> </class> So now I can add many attributes and values to a User. How can I query those attributes so I can get ie. Get all the users where attributename is "Age" and attribute value is "20" ? I don't want to do this in foreach because I may have millions of users each having its unique attributes. Please help

  • RoR associations through or not through?

    - by showFocus
I have four models that are related to one another, the way I have it setup at the moment is I have to select a county, region and country when entering a new city. class Country < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :regions has_many :counties has_many :cities end class Region < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :country has_many :counties has_many :cities end class County < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :country has_one :region has_many :cities end class City < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :country has_one :region has_one :county end Would it be better to use the :through symbol in the association? So I could say the city: has_one :country, :through => :region Not sure if this is correct, I have read how :through works but I'm not sure if this is the best solution. I am a newbie and while I'm not struggling with the syntax and how things work, it would be good to get opinions on best practices and the way things should be done from some rails wizards! Thanks in advance.

  • Grafting LINQ onto C# 2 library

    - by P Daddy
I'm writing a data access layer. It will have C# 2 and C# 3 clients, so I'm compiling against the 2.0 framework. Although encouraging the use of stored procedures, I'm still trying to provide a fairly complete ability to perform ad-hoc queries. I have this working fairly well, already. For the convenience of C# 3 clients, I'm trying to provide as much compatibility with LINQ query syntax as I can. Jon Skeet noticed that LINQ query expressions are duck typed, so I don't have to have an IQueryable and IQueryProvider (or IEnumerable<T>) to use them. I just have to provide methods with the correct signatures. So I got Select, Where, OrderBy, OrderByDescending, ThenBy, and ThenByDescending working. Where I need help are with Join and GroupJoin. I've got them working, but only for one join. A brief compilable example of what I have is this: // .NET 2.0 doesn't define the Func<...> delegates, so let's define some workalikes delegate TResult FakeFunc<T, TResult>(T arg); delegate TResult FakeFunc<T1, T2, TResult>(T1 arg1, T2 arg2); abstract class Projection{ public static Condition operator==(Projection a, Projection b){ return new EqualsCondition(a, b); } public static Condition operator!=(Projection a, Projection b){ throw new NotImplementedException(); } } class ColumnProjection : Projection{ readonly Table table; readonly string columnName; public ColumnProjection(Table table, string columnName){ this.table = table; this.columnName = columnName; } } abstract class Condition{} class EqualsCondition : Condition{ readonly Projection a; readonly Projection b; public EqualsCondition(Projection a, Projection b){ this.a = a; this.b = b; } } class TableView{ readonly Table table; readonly Projection[] projections; public TableView(Table table, Projection[] projections){ this.table = table; this.projections = projections; } } class Table{ public Projection this[string columnName]{ get{return new ColumnProjection(this, columnName);} } public TableView Select(params Projection[] projections){ return new TableView(this, projections); } public TableView Select(FakeFunc<Table, Projection[]> projections){ return new TableView(this, projections(this)); } public Table Join(Table other, Condition condition){ return new JoinedTable(this, other, condition); } public TableView Join(Table inner, FakeFunc<Table, Projection> outerKeySelector, FakeFunc<Table, Projection> innerKeySelector, FakeFunc<Table, Table, Projection[]> resultSelector){ Table join = new JoinedTable(this, inner, new EqualsCondition(outerKeySelector(this), innerKeySelector(inner))); return join.Select(resultSelector(this, inner)); } } class JoinedTable : Table{ readonly Table left; readonly Table right; readonly Condition condition; public JoinedTable(Table left, Table right, Condition condition){ this.left = left; this.right = right; this.condition = condition; } } This allows me to use a fairly decent syntax in C# 2: Table table1 = new Table(); Table table2 = new Table(); TableView result = table1 .Join(table2, table1["ID"] == table2["ID"]) .Select(table1["ID"], table2["Description"]); But an even nicer syntax in C# 3: TableView result = from t1 in table1 join t2 in table2 on t1["ID"] equals t2["ID"] select new[]{t1["ID"], t2["Description"]}; This works well and gives me identical results to the first case. The problem is if I want to join in a third table. TableView result = from t1 in table1 join t2 in table2 on t1["ID"] equals t2["ID"] join t3 in table3 on t1["ID"] equals t3["ID"] select new[]{t1["ID"], t2["Description"], t3["Foo"]}; Now I get an error (Cannot implicitly convert type 'AnonymousType#1' to 'Projection[]'), presumably because the second join is trying to join the third table to an anonymous type containing the first two tables. This anonymous type, of course, doesn't have a Join method. Any hints on how I can do this?

  • Help understanding the Single Responsibility Principle

    - by user204588
I'm trying to understand what a responsibility actually is so I want to use an example of something I'm currently working on. I have a app that imports product information from one system to another system. The user of the apps gets to choose various settings for which product fields in one system that want to use in the other system. So I have a class, say ProductImporter and it's responsibility is to import products. This class is large, probably too large. The methods in this class are complex and would be for example, getDescription. This method doesn't simply grab a description from the other system but sets a product description based on various settings set by the user. If I were to add a setting and a new way to get a description, this class could change. So, is that two responsibilities? Is there one that imports products and one that gets a description. It would seem this way, almost every method I have would be in it's own class and that seems like overkill. I really need a good description of this principle because it's hard for me to completely understand. I don't want needless complexity.

  • NHibernate Mapping and Querying Where Tables are Related But No Foreign Key Constraint

    - by IanT8
I'm fairly new to NHibernate, and I need to ask a couple of questions relating to a very frequent scenario. The following simplified example illustrates the problem. I have two tables named Equipment and Users. Users is a set of system administrators. Equipment is a set of machinery. Tables: Users table has UserId int and LoginName nvarchar(64). Equipment table has EquipId int, EquipType nvarchar(64), UpdatedBy int. Behavior: System administrators can make changes to Equipment, and when they do, the UpdatedBy field of Equipment is "normally" set to their User Id. Users can be deleted at any time. New Equipment items have an UpdatedBy value of null. There's no foreign key constraint on Equipment.UpdatedBy which means: Equipment.UpdatedBy can be null. Equipment.UpdatedBy value can be = existing User.UserId value Equipment.UpdatedBy value can be = non-existent User.UserId value To find Equipment and who last updated the Equipment, I might query like this: select E.EquipId, E.EquipName, U.UserId, U.LoginName from Equipment E left outer join Users U on. E.UpdatedBy = U.UserId Simple enough. So how to do that in NHibernate? My mappings might be as follows: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <hibernate-mapping xmlns="urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2" namespace="Data" assembly="Data"> <class name="User" table="Users"> <id name="Id" column="UserId" unsaved-value="0"> <generator class="native" /> </id> <property name="LoginName" unique="true" not-null="true" /> </class> <class name="Equipment" table="Equipment"> <id name="Id" column="EquipId" type="int" unsaved-value="0"> <generator class="native" /> </id> <property name="EquipType" /> <many-to-one name="UpdatedBy" class="User" column="UpdatedBy" /> </class> </hibernate-mapping> So how do I get all items of equipment and who updated them? using (ISession session = sessionManager.OpenSession()) { List<Data.Equipment> equipList = session .CreateCriteria<Data.Equipment>() // Do I need to SetFetchmode or specify that I // want to join onto User here? If so how? .List<Data.Equipment>(); foreach (Data.Equipment item in equipList) { Debug.WriteLine("\nEquip Id: " + item.Id); Debug.WriteLine("Equip Type: " + item.EquipType); if (item.UpdatedBy.Country != null) Debug.WriteLine("Updated By: " + item.UpdatedBy.LoginName); else Debug.WriteLine("Updated by: Nobody"); } } When Equipment.UpdatedBy = 3 and there is no Users.UserId = 3, the above fail I also have a feeling that the generated SQL is a select all from Equipment followed by many select columns from Users where UserId = n whereas I'd expected NHibernate to left join as per my plain ordinary SQL and do one hit. If I can tell NHibernate to do the query in one hit, how do I do that? Time is of the essence on my project, so any help you could provide is gratefully received. If you're speculating about how NHibernate might work in this scenario, please say you're not absolutely sure. Many thanks.

  • How to make a server.transfer() with a Response.AddHeader("refresh", "seconds") and not get a 404 er

    - by Unlimited071
Hi all, so this is the scenario: I have a base class for all login-controlled pages: public class SessionControlledPage : Page { protected virtual void Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) { Response.AddHeader("Refresh", Convert.ToString(Session.Timeout * 60 + 5)); if (Session.IsNewSession) { Response.Redirect("~/login.aspx"); } } } And a regularpage.aspx page that inherints from the base class: public partial class RegularPage : SessionControlledPage { override protected void Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) { base.Page_Load(sender, e); Server.Transfer("~/otherpage.aspx"); } } Now let's say the original URL was http://localhost/regularpage.aspx and that Session.Timeout = 5. The problem appears when the refresh happens after the transfer takes place. I'm getting a 404 Not Found error and the URL changes for http://localhost/305. Notice that 5 * 60 + 5 = 305. Do you know why is this happening? got a solution? PD: I use transfer because I need to access some properties of regularpage.aspx on otherpage.aspx, maybe you could provide another solution for this too.

    Kind of new to JQuery and I was wondering how can I state that the users submitted info was saved when they click the submit button by displaying the message Changes saved at the top of the form and then have it disappear when the user leaves the web page and return back to it? Right now my code only displays that changes were saved at the bottom of the form outside of the lists and will not disappear when the users leave the web page and return back to it. Here is the JQuery code. $(function() { $(".save-button").click(function() { $.post($("#contact-form").attr("action"), $("#contact-form").serialize(), function(html) { $("div.contact-info-form").html(html); $('#contact-form').append('<li>Changes saved!</li>'); }); return false; // prevent normal submit }); }); Here is the html code. <div id="contact-info-form" class="form-content"> <h2>Contact Information</h2> <form method="post" action="index.php" id="contact-form"> <fieldset> <ul> <li><label for="address">Address 1: </label><input type="text" name="address" id="address" size="25" class="input-size" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['address'])) { echo $_POST['address']; } else if(!empty($address)) { echo $address; } ?>" /></li> <li><label for="address_two">Address 2: </label><input type="text" name="address_two" id="address_two" size="25" class="input-size" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['address_two'])) { echo $_POST['address_two']; } else if(!empty($address_two)) { echo $address_two; } ?>" /></li> <li><label for="city_town">City/Town: </label><input type="text" name="city_town" id="city_town" size="25" class="input-size" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['city_town'])) { echo $_POST['city_town']; } else if(!empty($city_town)) { echo $city_town; } ?>" /></li> <li><label for="state_province">State/Province: </label> <?php echo '<select name="state_province" id="state_province">' . "\n"; foreach($state_options as $option) { if ($option == $state_province) { echo '<option value="' . $option . '" selected="selected">' . $option . '</option>' . "\n"; } else { echo '<option value="'. $option . '">' . $option . '</option>'."\n"; } } echo '</select>'; ?> </li> <li><label for="zipcode">Zip/Post Code: </label><input type="text" name="zipcode" id="zipcode" size="5" class="input-size" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['zipcode'])) { echo $_POST['zipcode']; } else if(!empty($zipcode)) { echo $zipcode; } ?>" /></li> <li><label for="country">Country: </label> <?php echo '<select name="country" id="country">' . "\n"; foreach($countries as $option) { if ($option == $country) { echo '<option value="' . $option . '" selected="selected">' . $option . '</option>' . "\n"; } else if($option == "-------------") { echo '<option value="' . $option . '" disabled="disabled">' . $option . '</option>'; } else { echo '<option value="'. $option . '">' . $option . '</option>'."\n"; } } echo '</select>'; ?> </li> <li><label for="email">Email Address: </label><input type="text" name="email" id="email" size="25" class="input-size" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['email'])) { echo $_POST['email']; } else if(!empty($email)) { echo $email; } ?>" /><br /><span>We don't spam or share your email with third parties.   • Django blog reply system

    - by dana
hello, i'm trying to build a mini reply system, based on the user's posts on a mini blog. Every post has a link named reply. if one presses reply, the reply form appears, and one edits the reply, and submits the form. The problem is that i don't know how to take the id of the post i want to reply to. In the view, if i use as a parameter one number (as an id of the blog post),it inserts the reply to the database. But how can i do it by not hardcoding? The view is: def save_reply(request): if request.method == 'POST': form = ReplyForm(request.POST) if form.is_valid(): new_obj = form.save(commit=False) new_obj.creator = request.user new_post = New(1) #it works only hardcoded new_obj.reply_to = new_post new_obj.save() return HttpResponseRedirect('.') else: form = ReplyForm() return render_to_response('replies/replies.html', { 'form': form, }, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) i have in forms.py: class ReplyForm(ModelForm): class Meta: model = Reply fields = ['reply'] and in models: class Reply(models.Model): reply_to = models.ForeignKey(New) creator = models.ForeignKey(User) reply = models.CharField(max_length=140,blank=False) objects = NewManager() mentioning that New is the micro blog class thanks
